    We look forward to welcoming you again in 2026.

    This is our second year in a row staying here. We originally planned to stay three nights during the 2025 Christmas season, but had to change it to two nights due to an unexpected matter. This time we stayed in the detached annex. Since it’s an older building, it does feel a bit dated, but the interior was clean and well maintained, and housekeeping was thorough. There were no noticeable odors. The annex is very close to the main building, the private open-air Onsen baths, and the dog run, so we went straight to the dog run as soon as we woke up in the morning. Our dogs had a great time playing. The annex also has its own Onsen; even the indoor bath is fed by Onsen water. Izu Kogen can be a bit chilly during Christmas season, so we really enjoyed soaking indoors. The water quality was excellent. For dinner on both nights, we were seated in semi-private dining rooms in the main building. The assorted sashimi boat platter we ordered separately was as gorgeous as ever and delicious. We always come during Christmas season for my husband’s birthday—and our Charles also has a December birthday—so it was a triple celebration this time as well. Bringing our own dog cake was no problem. At dinner, guests staying in the annex received a special extra dish. As always, everything was delicious. On the second night I caused a small incident at dinner, and even then the head chef came out to greet us. Our dogs also had meals included for both days and didn’t need any food we brought ourselves. The amenities were well stocked and very convenient. The service was wonderful as always—thank you for remembering our dogs’ names and welcoming us back with “Welcome home.” Our dogs were clearly very happy too. Sorry for posting this Review so late. We look forward to seeing you again in 2026.

    Wonderful Accommodation

    Everything about this Accommodation was wonderful! The only downside was that there was no TV in the separate bedroom (there is a projector).

    Is it hard to keep the quality from dropping?

    I stayed at Aiken Oyado the year before last and had a great time, so this time I was hoping to finally visit the Ubud no Mori I’d been dreaming of, but the samue loungewear felt quite worn out, so… hmm. The bath area was also cold, and the Onsen left a chlorine smell on my skin, so… hmm. The Hotel staff were very used to accommodating dogs, and their frequent check-ins were appreciated, but honestly, it made me feel that it may be difficult to maintain the same reputation over time. I think Aiken Oyado was better. Both places allow you to dine with your dog. The free-flow drinks (including alcohol) and the overall food quality are decent, so that’s good—but these days there are more and more dog-friendly hotels, so I think it will be tough unless they really step up their game. That said, we were very happy with the professional photo shoot of our dog by a photographer. Thank you very much.

    It was a great trip!

    We were disappointed that it rained on the first day, but we had a great time thanks to the well-equipped indoor dog run and grooming services. We were able to enjoy the open-air bath many times, and the meals were delicious—humans were very satisfied too! On the second day it was sunny, and our dog had the wide dog run all to himself and ran around happily. Since we stayed in a detached Room, it felt very private and relaxing. For us as travelers who enjoy trips with our dog, it was more than satisfying. Thank you to all the staff for being so kind to our pup—we truly appreciate it!

    About complimentary guests

    I have stayed here repeatedly because it is an excellent Facility, but I feel uncomfortable that guests staying in the main building can also use the Onsen in the Gratis building. The Onsen was already fully booked, so I was disappointed that it was difficult to use. Since the pricing structure is different, I would appreciate it if you could consider making the Gratis building Onsen exclusive, or introducing a system where Gratis guests can make reservations at check-in. That would make my stay even more comfortable.

    I booked again right after my stay.

    Ubud, a place I’ve wanted to visit for so long. I’m completely satisfied—both people and dogs. The Onsen facilities aren’t scattered around; they’re all in one area, so even if some are in use you can choose an available one (and you can also check the monitor, of course). Best of all, you don’t have to bring towels from your Room—they provide them for you! Fewer Hotels offer this kind of service these days, probably due to costs, so I was truly happy.

    Even though it was o...

    Even though it was our first time, it felt wonderfully nostalgic—an Ubud forest retreat that makes you want to come back again as soon as you return home. Every staff member was warm and welcoming; the younger team members and the seasoned professionals alike were true specialists. The food was delicious, and the bath was outstanding. The surprise birthday celebration for my daughter was a great success, and she was truly delighted. The late-night ramen was also very tasty. And breakfast was so delicious it genuinely moved us. Next time, we will definitely book a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

    Emergency Assistance

    Using a company subsidy program that reduced my Accommodation rate, I ordered more than usual at dinner and ended up with severe stomach pain. The cause was simply overeating. Since I’m not from the area and didn’t know which hospital to go to, the front desk kindly called an ambulance for me. After receiving emergency treatment, I returned to Ubud using a taxi phone number a staff member had given me beforehand. The next morning, several staff members checked in on me, which truly made me happy. Your team is very well trained.

    A cozy place for both you and your dog.

    We stayed as a family of three with one Toy Poodle. The staff were kind to both our dog and us, and we felt very comfortable. We had a great time playing with our dog at the outdoor and indoor dog runs, and we also enjoyed taking commemorative photos. Our son really enjoyed the many private Onsen baths. We were also very satisfied that we could enjoy delicious meals together with our dog in semi-private dining areas for both dinner and breakfast. The late-night ramen was delicious as well. We would love to stay again.

    Accommodation with Delicious Cuisine

    The baths, both private and public, were always kept clean and comfortable to use. It was also convenient not having to bring towels from the Room. As for the meals, the dog buffet included handmade quiche, and even dessert was prepared for our dog in the morning. Our pet seemed to enjoy it a lot! The grassy dog run and indoor dog run in the annex Facility were separated from those for main building guests. It would have been even better if they could be shared. This is why I deducted one star. All staff members provided excellent service; however, as a Diamond member, I couldn't receive my benefits during check-in or check-out. For this reason, I deducted another star.

    The staff's hospitality was exceptional, providing personalized service for both people and dogs. The Facility feels a bit dated, but it was very clean. Dinner was delicious, though breakfast was slightly disappointing.

    Start the New Year in the Forest of Ubud

    This was our third stay. The welcome and guidance were smooth. The service to make can badges and paw print cream was delightful. Unlike other accommodations where you might be left unsure of what to do, the staff's assistance was incredibly helpful. The snacks, handmade dried sweet potatoes, and oshiruko service were excellent. This time, we tried the self-grooming for the first time and were impressed with the electric nail grinder among all the provided tools. Having towels available in the bath area was very convenient, and all hairdryers in different locations worked perfectly. On a downside, as we stayed in a room for five people, there weren’t enough sofas. Also, during bar time, the tsukune skewers were cold. It would be great if meal times could be extended slightly. We enjoyed using the annex facilities such as open-air baths, table tennis, and unlimited drinks to their fullest extent. Writing a postcard that will arrive in a year added excitement to our stay. Many facilities focus on saving amenities these days with nothing provided in baths; however, having essentials available is important. This accommodation had everything we needed with options like various shampoos to choose from—such thoughtful consideration is much appreciated. For our family traveling with our beloved dog, this is undoubtedly our number one choice of accommodation! We look forward to staying again!

    Third stay

    This was my third stay, and as always, the warm service made me glad I chose this accommodation. I was especially touched by the thoughtful gestures, such as remembering details from my previous visit and providing various services accordingly. I also deeply appreciated the care shown towards my pregnant wife. Next time we visit, our child will have been born, and we are looking forward to staying here as a family of four.

    Highly Satisfied

    It was a wonderful Hotel that exceeded our expectations. Both our dog and we had such a great time, which is rare to find in a Hotel... even my husband seemed very satisfied. The free drinks, late-night snacks, karaoke, table tennis, and the clean Onsen made for a relaxing stay. We will definitely come back again!

    It was excellent.

    We stayed in the annex this time, and the Room was designed so you could walk around it entirely. The autumn leaves visible from the garden, the wood chips allowing dogs to roam freely, and the dog run right outside the exit made for a very satisfying trip. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were delicious, and we were delighted with the variety of free drinks available. We would love to stay here again!

    Thank you for your hospitality! This was our second visit, and we enjoyed the calm, Asian-inspired accommodation. The food was delicious, and we loved being able to choose from various private open-air baths. The late-night soba noodles were tasty and unlimited! We tried both the salt and soy sauce flavors—completely satisfied! Even had dessert ice cream—it was a feast! During our previous visit, we only brought one toy poodle. Since then, we've welcomed three rescue dogs into our family, making it four dogs on this trip. One has hydrocephalus with visual impairment, another has cerebellar hypoplasia and struggles to walk properly—we used a buggy for them while the other two walked. However, there were many stairs and steps; carrying the buggy up and down along with luggage required multiple trips even with three people helping out. On our first visit with one healthy dog who could manage stairs easily, it wasn’t an issue at all. But this time we realized that the accommodation is designed assuming guests (and their pets) can handle stairs without difficulty. For dogs like ours with disabilities or elderly ones who struggle with stairs, it might be quite stressful. Our room was also on the second floor without an elevator—having a ramp next to the stairs would have been helpful in such cases. Other than that aspect, everything else was wonderful! The staff members were all very pleasant as well. This is a lovely hotel I’d recommend for healthy dogs!

    It was so much fun! The staff were kind, the food was delicious, the onsen was great, and we fully enjoyed karaoke (haha). The dog massage was also a wonderful experience. For an all-you-can-drink plan at this price, it felt very reasonable. I would like to make a reservation for the next visit right away!

    For Your Beloved Dog's Birthday Celebration

    This was our second visit, the first being with our previous dog. After our beloved dog passed away at 19 years old, we adopted a rescue dog, and this was the first time celebrating its birthday. The staff were incredibly friendly and even remembered Nico's name, which made us very happy. The meals were delicious, and the private bath allowed us to relax fully. My mother-in-law enjoyed playing table tennis and singing karaoke with her grandchild. When my daughter forgot something, they contacted us immediately and sent it via courier free of charge—such thoughtful service! We would love to stay here again.

    I stayed on November 4th.

    I stayed at the accommodation in Ubud after a year. Ubud offers a unique experience where you receive a "time machine" letter addressed to yourself one year later, making it perfect for creating memories with your dog. Every visit becomes an unforgettable trip filled with wonderful memories. ① The baths are clean and well-maintained (towels provided). ② Enjoy unlimited drinks of your favorite alcohol. ③ Unlimited meals for your dog as well. ④ My wife enjoys karaoke during our stay. I rated the meals 4 stars this time because I felt the breakfast menu had slightly fewer options compared to before. For example, natto used to be served in paper-wrapped packs but is now served on small plates instead. Considering rising costs and labor expenses, I understand these changes might be necessary adjustments, but even so, Ubud remains one of the top-class accommodations for staying with dogs. Looking forward to visiting again next time!

    Had a great time!

    This was my first time staying here. As I had heard, "Ubud no Mori is wonderful," it truly was a fantastic place. The serene, hidden retreat-like atmosphere offered plenty of private baths to explore, karaoke, table tennis, and a dog run. Everything was enjoyable, and we were able to relax as a family. Additionally, the staff's thoughtful consideration for my elderly mother by minimizing the use of stairs when going to the restaurant was very much appreciated. The meals were absolutely delicious and satisfied both us and our beloved dog immensely. It felt like one day wasn't enough—I wished we could stay longer at this accommodation. Next time, I will definitely visit again with my husband who stayed home this time!

    An accommodation where both pets and their owners can enjoy.

    Highly recommended accommodation! This is by far the best accommodation we’ve stayed at with our dog. The staff’s hospitality is outstanding—they even remembered our dog’s name. Our dog has leg issues, so we brought a buggy, and without us asking, they prepared a space for the buggy at the dining area. The level of service is truly exceptional. The onsen and facilities are well-maintained, with staff frequently checking to ensure cleanliness and comfort. The meals for humans were delicious, with unlimited drinks available. We also enjoyed activities like table tennis and karaoke—things that are usually hard to do when traveling with a dog. Some of the onsen areas even allow dogs in the changing rooms! With plenty of amenities, free laundry services, and a shampoo bar available, you can travel light without worrying about packing too much. We definitely want to visit again next year!

    I revisited because I was satisfied with my previous stay. The service and meals were as excellent as before, and I had another enjoyable experience. However, it was very disappointing that an allergenic ingredient (one of the specified 27 items) was served in my partner's meal despite notifying this during the Reservation. Fortunately, it was visually identifiable, so it wasn't consumed, but please ensure this does not happen in the future.

    Had a comfortable stay!

    It was my first visit, and it was a comfortable accommodation. The staff were very pleasant. There are many Onsen options, so I tried visiting several and they were excellent. The meals were delicious, but my husband felt they were slightly insufficient. I was looking forward to the late-night ramen but unfortunately couldn't go to eat it, which was disappointing. Also, I couldn't do karaoke or make a pin badge, so I hope to visit again soon for a second chance!

    It was our first trip with our pet, and we had a wonderful time. We never expected to enjoy karaoke with our dog! We would love to visit again if we have the chance. Next time, if the weather is nice, we'd like to let our dog play in the outdoor dog run.

    It was an accommodation that provided complete satisfaction in every aspect.

    Our dog, who is not fond of people or other dogs, made us hesitant about traveling together as a family. However, we decided to search for accommodations that allow pets and made a reservation. The result was a truly satisfying stay in every aspect—room, bath, dog run, meals, and hospitality. During dinner, our dog barked in the restaurant, and we felt sorry about it. However, the staff showed thoughtful care by not paying too much attention to our dog, reassuring us by saying, "There are many dogs that bark," and even speaking to us gently in the lobby without exciting our dog. Their consideration was greatly appreciated. Additionally, the dog run, the facility, and the room were all well-organized, clean, and well-maintained. The garden, though small, had a pond where we could feed the koi fish, which was very entertaining! We stayed in the main building but were also able to use the onsen and bar in the annex, which felt like a great deal! Above all, the best part was the friendly and calm atmosphere created by other guests who were all traveling with their beloved pets. This is something unique to accommodations specifically designed for pets, rather than just being pet-friendly. Next time, we would love to stay in the annex or a detached room. Thank you very much!

    Beyond expectations!

    In September, we enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay for two nights. It was an incredibly comfortable experience, exceeding our expectations, and all three of us and our dog were extremely satisfied. The meals (including allergy-friendly options), the thoughtful care for our dog, and the flavors were all perfect. We are also grateful for the attentive care provided to a family member who wasn’t feeling well. The Room and bath were exceptional as well. We were particularly impressed by the wide variety of shampoos and treatments available in the bathroom—there were even products we use regularly or had been wanting to try, making it hard to choose each time we bathed! We definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.

    Ubud is amazing!

    Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 2-night, 3-day stay. We were able to relax comfortably in the Room, and the bath was incredibly pleasant. The private open-air bath was especially amazing and felt absolutely wonderful. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed them to the fullest. Above all, the warm hospitality of all the staff made us very happy. We were surprised that everyone called our dog's name! Despite having so many dogs around, we truly appreciate how well you remembered their names. We definitely want to visit again. Thank you so much!

    First Time in Ubud

    I stayed here for the first time after having a great experience at the affiliated "Accommodation for Dogs" earlier this summer. The amenities and linens for both humans and dogs were perfect. You can go to the bath empty-handed, and there were plenty of bath mats and towels available, making it a pleasant experience. One downside was that a cockroach (G) and a large spider with long legs appeared in the room. Although I managed to deal with them before going to bed, it made me very anxious until they were gone, which affected my sleep. There was an insect spray in the room, which made me think later that such pests might appear frequently... Other than that, everything was great! The drinks during dinner and bar time were served quickly. All staff members called our dog's name and interacted with him warmly; our dog, who loves people, wagged his tail happily throughout our stay. The dog run area was well-maintained with wood chips, making it easy to play around. Although we only stayed one night this time, we plan to enjoy a multiple-night stay next time! We'll be back again!
