    Thank you very much. It was excellent.

    The distance from the annex was close since it was Room K. Depending on the weather, I thought it might be a bit challenging. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were excellent. As expected, the view was stunning. The outdoor bath attached to the room was great, and I used it multiple times. The massage chair in the room was also fantastic.

    It was the ultimate reward.

    The room's bathtub was spacious, allowing two people to relax comfortably. The room itself was also large and very comfortable. We were very satisfied with the coffee and amenities, which made us so happy! There was even a massage chair in the room, making it a truly relaxing and special day. It was our first time in Yufuin, and choosing this accommodation was absolutely the right decision. Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to visit again someday. Thank you very much!

    It was a relaxing experience.

    The staff were amazing. From check-in, during meals, guiding us to the room, and even carrying our luggage to the car upon departure, everyone was smiling and made us feel very welcome. Recently, many Onsen destinations have adopted a more formal style of service which feels a bit impersonal, but this accommodation exudes warmth and hospitality. The room was spacious and refreshing. Through the large windows, we could enjoy stunning views of Mount Yufu and the town of Yufuin below. The outdoor jacuzzi Onsen was absolutely fantastic. Meals are served at a dining area that requires a short walk from the accommodation. Although it was during the hottest season, mornings and evenings in Yufuin were pleasantly cool and comfortable. From the dining area, we enjoyed beautiful night views of Yufuin. Both dinner and breakfast featured dishes that truly lived up to this accommodation's reputation for excellent cuisine. One small point is that checkout via an automated payment machine felt slightly impersonal (though I understand it’s likely for guests' convenience). Still, as we left while saying "We’d love to come back again," we truly appreciated our stay here!

    Healing

    From the moment we entered the property, the staff's kindness was evident. The move to our Room was filled with pleasant conversations. Upon entering the Room, a relaxing atmosphere welcomed us, and we enjoyed a soothing bath before dinner. Dinner was beyond satisfying with an abundance of delicious dishes that we couldn't finish. On our way back to the Room, we admired the beautiful stars and enjoyed a leisurely walk through the spacious grounds. Breakfast was also luxurious. All of the staff were incredibly kind, making it a truly healing experience. With various types of Rooms available, we're already looking forward to staying again next time! We can't wait to visit again!

    Located on a hill overlooking the town of Yufuin, our spacious detached accommodations offer tranquility and each features its own open-air bath. Meals are primarily kaiseki-style, showcasing a variety of flavors that reflect the creativity of our head chef. We visited to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and had a truly satisfying stay.

    Visited for our honeymoon.

    The room with an open-air bath was clean and nice. There were two places where the light bulbs were out, and I had them come to fix it via the intercom, so I thought it would be good if they checked it beforehand. Artificial grass was laid in the open-air bath of the room, which gave a cheap feeling. I was very happy to be able to take a bath at any time. The miso soup with Ise lobster for breakfast was delicious. Since it was the shell of the Ise lobster, there was no edible meat, but the broth was good. For honeymooners, they take a photo and give it to you in a frame with your name at the property, but since the printer was broken, they took a photo with the customer's smartphone. I felt that was a normal occurrence, so I thought they could easily prepare a printer at an electronics store. Dinner was small. I thought it would have been good to order additional items separately. I feel that it would be nice if there were reasonably priced drinks available.

    Perfect hardware, the service and meals give the impression of a traditional Ryokan.

    In conclusion, the newly renovated Asagiri G room was perfect, but considering the following points, it's debatable whether I would definitely repeat my stay. Good Points - Spacious enough for four people: father, mother, wife, and husband (+ a 3-month-old infant). - Very comfortable access from the room to the open-air bath. - My parents were very satisfied, which is the highest score. Areas for Improvement (I believe all can be resolved on the soft side, so I look forward to future improvements) - With a 30% off plan, the total bill was 600,000 yen → 75,000 yen per person/night (including breakfast and dinner). Assuming 100,000 yen per person/night without the 30% off, the following points feel lacking compared to other properties at that price range. - The phone response was full of a "want to hang up quickly" feeling. Every time I asked a question, they clearly said "Is that all right?" in an unpleasant manner. Instead of "Do you have any other questions?" it was "Is that all right?" every time I asked a question... I had a bad feeling before departure. However, there was no discomfort with the local staff. A relief. - Services listed on the website were not offered unless we inquired, "I saw that there is such and such." - Dust was noticeable in the room. We had a conversation like, "It's a large room, so it can't be helped." - For infants, there is only a baby bath. There is no space for diaper changing, disinfectant, or detergent. - The food was a bit monotonous... It was Japanese cuisine only, and I couldn't find much enjoyment due to the lack of variety. At this price range, it would be nice to have a fusion of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. For example, you might consider referencing the meals at Kato Pleasure... They offer a fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine, and the food is completely different over a two-night stay. - The drink service was slow. It took more than 5 minutes after ordering... - The breakfast time window is small (8:00 or 8:30 → making a 10:00 checkout difficult...) - No room wear (It feels like a traditional ryokan, where you choose a yukata near the front desk and take it to your room) - The room's refrigerator only had cups. You have to buy your own drinks. - The humidifier didn't work (I informed them, but it wasn't fixed) & one humidifier for a large room is tough. You have an extraordinary location and wonderful facilities, so I hope you will work hard on the soft side.

    The cleanliness of the Room, the bath, and the open-air bath were very good. Perhaps due to being pressed for time and tasks, the ingredients prepared at the table during meals were dried out by the heating wind. Also, the ingredients that came out in order clearly felt like they had been prepared in advance. The portion sizes were large, and it seemed like the staff were also pressed for time, having to serve the meals one after another because they couldn't finish within the allotted time. The service was very polite and pleasant.

    We recommend Asagiri.

    If it's a new Room, I recommend it. The Facility is excellent, well-insulated, and I slept well. On the other hand, I cannot recommend the old Room. It felt outdated in various places, and it was chilly, making it hard to sleep at night. The open-air bath had a tin roof, and the Room had an old smell, which was disappointing. Since it was the New Year period, both Rooms were over 200,000 yen, but the new Room was worth the price, while the old Room felt like it was worth about 50,000 yen. The food was adequate in quantity and tasted good. The service was average. Regardless of the Room, the view of the majestic mountains of Yufuin was wonderful. Also, the hospitality of the elderly staff was excellent. I provide this feedback with high expectations for improvement, though it may be a bit harsh.

    The room, Onsen, and...

    The room, Onsen, and other facilities were as expected, but the staff's response at check-in was unpleasant. Although the Reservation was under my name, the female staff at the front desk kept talking only to my husband, and despite needing my signature, she asked for my husband's signature, which I found strange. I believe it is the minimum courtesy to explain to both of us, so I was very displeased.

    The stay for our 40th wedding anniversary was wonderful.

    We stayed as a couple in our 60s. From arrival to departure, the staff's greetings were polite and friendly, making it feel like it wasn't our first time using the property. The food was excellent in both taste and quality, making it the best we've had so far. Although it was one of the older detached rooms at Yufuin Hanayoshi, it was well-cleaned and maintained. My wife and I are talking about wanting to visit again. Thank you very much.

    The stay was as expected.

    This was my third time using the property, and each time I have been able to relax, making it my favorite stay. The room this time was spacious with high ceilings, providing an open and relaxing environment. Due to being situated on a slope, there is a bit of an incline, which might be difficult for those with mobility issues... However, since it is a cottage, there is no need to worry about the neighboring room, and privacy is maintained, making it ideal for a leisurely stay. I look forward to visiting again.

    Very satisfied

    The Room was very spacious, and being separate, it was very quiet, allowing us to spend a very pleasant time leisurely. The meals were delicious, but for a couple in their 60s, the portions were a bit too much. The temperature of the bath was just right, and we were satisfied. However, the distance to the dining area and the large public bath might be challenging during cold seasons. There is also a Room bath, so you don't have to overexert yourself.

    It was a property as expected from the reviews.

    We stayed at Hanayoshi as our last Stays in Kyushu. Although it cannot be simply compared to other Stays we stayed at due to the different price range, it was a Property that we were satisfied with in every aspect. A staff member happened to take a photo for us, which became a great memory. I thought it was a Property that lived up to its reputation. The only point I would like to consider is that there is a distance to the detached building, and since it is also on a slope, I thought it might be difficult to carry luggage at the time of checkout. Perhaps assistance would have been offered if requested, but I hope you will consider this.

    A Blissful Moment

    It was my first time in Yufuin, and it was a wonderful Stays. It was our wedding anniversary, and they upgraded our Room, offering views of Mount Yufu and the starry sky. The meals were creatively prepared and enjoyable. The hospitality from the Property staff was excellent. It was a Stays that the whole family wanted to visit again.

    I made a reservation for a Type D room in the Yumeno Sato area in July. I was looking forward to the view of Mount Yufu from the window, but on October 14th, four days before my travel date of October 17th, I received a call from Hanayoshi (Hanayoshi) informing me that the room would not have a view of Mount Yufu. At the time of the reservation in July, it was on the Mount Yufu side, but it seems the category has changed. Receiving such a call four days before, when the cancellation fee is 30%... I will not go anymore.

    It was the second day of our trip to Kyushu as a couple. We were blessed with the best weather, had a great view of Mount Yufu, and the starry sky at night was amazing. The detached Room was of high grade, and the 24-hour jacuzzi bath was especially excellent. A bit disappointing was the large public bath. The temperature was a bit low and it didn't warm us up. Also, the sashimi at dinner was not quite up to par. (Especially the amberjack) The rest was delicious. The hospitality and service were excellent, and we felt it was a friendly and good Japanese Ryokan.

    I was upgraded.

    We were upgraded to an Executive Room as it was available. If the weather is clear, you can see Mount Yufu right in front of you, and I think it's a room with a wonderful view. Since there were two of us in a spacious room, we were able to stay very comfortably. The quality of the onsen water was good, and we were able to relax in the open-air bath in the room, which was also an onsen. The weather was terrible, and it was tough to move to the dining area and the large public bath in the rain, climbing the slope in sandals while holding an umbrella. The toilet felt a bit low-level and didn't match the room. The meals were satisfying, on par with other luxury hotels, but the only draft beer available was Super Dry, so I reluctantly drank a bottle of Kirin Lager. I would like a bit more variety. I am grateful for the upgrade, but I don't feel like paying a difference of over 50,000 yen just for the room difference. I think many people book the Executive Room for the first time, but perhaps there are not many repeat customers? I think it will be difficult to experience satisfaction unless something changes.

    We were blessed with clear weather and were very satisfied with the room with a wonderful view. The food was good. Thank you to all the staff. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. Points noticed: The quality of the amenities should be improved. I thought it was a waste. Also, I think it would be better if the drinks were not from a vending machine.

    The location is excellent, but...

    The morning mist in Yufuin was impressive. The property has luxurious facilities with an interesting concept, but the dinner was served in a private tatami room without a sunken kotatsu or floor chairs, making it more tiring to sit than to enjoy the meal. I later noticed that there were also chair seats available and seemed vacant, so I had my breakfast changed the next morning, but I wished they had checked my preference for dinner as well. The large public bath was located outside after exiting the front, which made me feel uneasy. The sofa in the room was stylish but uncomfortable to sit on, making it hard to relax.

    We used the service ...

    We used the service for our golden wedding anniversary trip and were satisfied with the impeccable service. The Hotel was located on a slope, but considering our age, we were given a room close to the dining area. There was a massage chair in the Room, which my wife was delighted to use immediately. The semi-open-air bath in the Room was clean and set at just the right temperature, which was impressive. The meals were delicious, made with local ingredients, and had a good volume. We apologize for not being able to eat the commemorative cake we requested, but the cake we received the next morning was delicious. We forgot to pick up the commemorative photo taken during the meal at departure, but thank you for sending it to us.

    Nice onsen resort

    The onsen is good. Calming hotel for relaxation. While they have staff who can speak English and Chinese. The understanding needs more improvement. Else if just standard stay then all will be smooth and easy. But if you request for changes or food dietary, it can be chaotic and confusing.

    The thoughtfulness of the staff

    We stayed at Yufuin for the first time. We were very grateful for the immediate consideration upon arrival, as they provided bath chairs and high chairs for our elderly family members. The dinner was a full-course kaiseki meal with elaborate touches and was very filling. The Facility undeniably has an aged feel, but the greetings and smiles from the staff were pleasant.

    A wonderful trip to honor my parents

    I planned a trip to coincide with my mother's birthday. We were able to see Mount Yufu from our room, enjoy fresh Seki Aji for dinner, and witness the morning mist, making it a very satisfying trip. The service was courteous, allowing us to have a pleasant stay. Thank you to everyone at Hanayoshi!!
