    I want to visit again!

    It was my first trip to Hakone in a while. We used the Shuttle Service from Sounzan Station, and they picked us up within 5 minutes of contacting them! From the moment we arrived at En no Mori, everything was impressive. The hospitality and care from the staff were truly heartfelt. Compared to other services and interactions we experienced during our trip for meals and sightseeing, their service stood out remarkably! The warmth of the staff at En no Mori genuinely touched us. The Room had a calm atmosphere, allowing us to relax completely. We also enjoyed the private open-air bath with a serene view of the forest! And then there was the food! The flavors were gentle yet delicious, perfectly paired with wine. With Bluetooth available, we listened to our favorite music while enjoying an exquisite dining experience! After dinner, we headed to the BAR we'd been looking forward to visiting! I even got to try Ichiro's Malt Red Cask that I usually can't find elsewhere! Their drink menu is extensive as well! Breakfast was traditional Japanese cuisine with plenty of variety—so satisfying that it felt like a true travel indulgence as I ate my fill in delight! Though I didn’t want it to end, checkout time came too soon. On our way down in the elevator, we met another couple; it turns out that one of them has been a repeat visitor many times—it made me happy knowing others share my appreciation for En no Mori’s charm. We used their Shuttle Service again on our way back to Sounzan Station. Although it was just one night’s stay, time flew by so quickly—but now I'm already thinking about bringing my parents next time! Thank you for such wonderful moments! Lastly—the heated floors are amazing!

    A memorable stay perfect for special occasions

    Everything was exceptional, and I was extremely satisfied. The cuisine, in particular, was the most delicious I have ever experienced among any accommodation or hotel I've stayed at, with each dish prepared so meticulously that it left me deeply impressed. The Onsen offered a delightful experience with different atmospheres between the private open-air bath in the room and the large public bath, both providing a truly relaxing time. This time, I visited for my partner's birthday, but next time I would love to bring my family and grandmother as well. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

    The meals and service are excellent, but the aging of the Facility is noticeable. In particular, we hope for future improvements regarding issues such as plumbing and torn shoji screens.

    It is recommended to plan regular maintenance for the facility. While gradual wear and tear may go unnoticed by staff during daily operations, occasional guests might perceive it as shabby. This could lead to a situation where lowering room rates becomes necessary to attract bookings. Below are the facilities that I feel would benefit from repair or renewal: 1. Air conditioning (cleaning or replacement) 2. Walls (repainting or replacement) 3. Ceiling of the private open-air bath in guest rooms (repair) 4. Walls of the private open-air bath in guest rooms (repair damaged areas) 5. Screens of the private open-air bath in guest rooms (repair tears) 6. Guest room TVs (replace with larger models) Regarding meals, offering options outside designated meal times could enhance customer satisfaction. It is difficult for guests to predict what they want to eat on the day when making a reservation 1-2 months in advance, so allowing them to choose on the day would likely increase satisfaction further. Although hydrogen cooking was refreshing at first, it has not reached a quality level that encourages repeat visits solely for this reason. For dinner's main beef dish, providing options such as teppanyaki, shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, or hamburg steak would be appreciated. For breakfast egg dishes, offering choices like rolled omelets, omelets, or fried eggs could improve customer satisfaction. The hospitality is excellent overall. With new accommodations opening continuously in Gora recently, I hope you maintain competitiveness and secure operating profits while continuing as a high-quality and comfortable accommodation moving forward. As one fan of your establishment, I am cheering you on!

    It was absolutely amazing!

    In August, I stayed at three Ryokans in Hakone within a similar price range, and this one stood out with exceptional satisfaction. While all the Ryokans offered summer seasonal menus, the taste here was astonishingly superior and truly remarkable. The facility, hospitality, attention to detail in linens, handmade welcome sweets in the room—everything reflected care and thoughtfulness without being overly extravagant. The Onsen had impeccable water quality as expected; the large communal bath was clean, and the open-air bath provided a relaxing experience. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of training enables every staff member to provide such pleasant service. It was truly an outstanding accommodation. I look forward to visiting again when it gets cooler!

    An accommodation that offers complete relaxation and rejuvenation.

    Despite the Level 4 heavy rain and flood warning, when we got lost due to poor visibility from the heavy rain near the accommodation, we called for assistance. A staff member kindly came to pick us up by car and guided us safely. Upon arrival, many staff members greeted us with umbrellas, ensuring we didn’t get soaked. We were also offered towels upon arrival, which was very thoughtful. We are truly grateful. The meals were delicious, and both the room's private open-air onsen and indoor space were clean and spacious. The young trainee staff member was very polite, hardworking, and had a refreshing demeanor. We used the large public bath during a break in the heavy rain; however, it was challenging due to strong winds. Next time, we hope to stay again on a sunny day. We love Hakone’s onsen accommodations and have stayed at various places before; this one has been our favorite so far. We definitely want to return. We have already made a reservation for November at Hanaougi. Thank you very much!

    The finest hospitality

    Despite arriving in the rain, a staff member was already waiting before we parked the car and kindly assisted us from the moment the car door opened. After being welcomed at the entrance, a hostess began her attentive service, guiding us to enjoy drinks in the lounge before showing us to our Room. From arrival to seeing us off as we departed, their polite service and warm smiles were truly exceptional. The entire facility is covered with tatami flooring, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The Room had a soothing wooden aroma, and we enjoyed relaxing in our private open-air bath. The cuisine was outstanding as well. Although it was just one night, it felt like an extended stay due to how fulfilling it was. While not inexpensive, the experience far exceeded expectations in terms of satisfaction. We would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much!

    High-Quality Accommodation

    This is our second stay, and we chose Azalea for its in-room dining option. Compared to the view from Fuchisou, where we stayed last time, the view was not as great (which we were aware of when making the reservation), but the in-room dining allowed us to relax and was perfect for our family! En no Mori offers exceptional quality in every aspect—rooms, meals, baths, and staff hospitality. We’ve become big fans and will definitely choose En no Mori again for our next trip to Hakone!

    I felt very relaxed.

    Thank you for your continued hospitality. I had a very relaxing stay this time as well. The meals, Onsen, and service were all excellent, allowing me to unwind completely. However, there were a few things I noticed... The hair dryer in the Room did not switch to TURBO mode even when I changed the setting. Also, the bidet in the Room remained weak even when I adjusted it to a stronger setting. I would appreciate it if you could check these issues. I look forward to visiting again soon.     Everything is excellent.

    I love this accommodation. The staff's hospitality is warm, sincere, and truly excellent. I stay at various accommodations 2 to 3 times a month, and in terms of price, facilities, and service, this one is the best. This time I rated the meals as 4 because it seemed like the meat was tastier before. My apologies.

    The staff provides pleasant and friendly service.

    This was my first visit. The Onsen in both the private room bath and the large public bath was very pleasant. Even though I arrived late, thank you for providing in-room dining service. The attendant assigned to the room was very polite, allowing me to have a stress-free stay. There was no greeting from the proprietress here, giving it a sense of being a modern luxury Onsen accommodation. I would love to visit again.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our onsen trip amidst the snow. The new facility was impeccably clean, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. The open-air bath in our room was spacious and full of charm, offering a truly extraordinary experience. Although the cold weather made it difficult to soak for long, it added to the unique appeal of enjoying an outdoor bath with a snowy view.     Gora En no Mori - Delightful Cuisine That Will Impress You

    It was our first stay with my husband, and it turned out to be the perfect accommodation. We felt a sense of comfort and warmth surrounded by the traditional Japanese manners, decor, and polite, beautiful hospitality. The variety of dishes served in exquisite tableware was truly impressive. We deeply appreciated the meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. Although there seemed to be more international guests, they were all dressed properly in yukata and spent their time quietly. Leaving our footwear at the entrance and stepping into an entirely tatami-matted space felt liberating and relaxing. Unlike the bustling area around Yumoto, we enjoyed soaking in the onsen peacefully amidst tranquility. This experience made us realize the charm of a ryokan where one can feel "beautiful Japan" (as we usually stay at hotels). The stairs leading to the large communal bath were slightly challenging but could also serve as good exercise! Thank you very much to all staff members for your heartfelt hospitality—it was greatly appreciated!

    Long-Awaited Onsen Accommodation

    This is an accommodation I had always wanted to visit. As expected, both the facility and service were excellent, and my busy mother was able to relax. Thank you very much. However, due to a plumbing issue the next morning, the onsen temperature did not rise, and we couldn't use the large bathhouse. With hopes for improvement next time, I would rate it 4 stars. Also, since it was cold during meals, having some piping hot dishes would have been nice. That said, they sincerely apologized for the plumbing issue and treated us so kindly that we felt humbled by their hospitality. I look forward to visiting again!

    Relax and unwind.

    Due to a cancellation, I made a reservation one week in advance and stayed at the accommodation. ① The nature view from the open-air bath, ② the delicious meals, ③ the stone sauna and spa treatments, and ④ the design of the room and building (tatami mats and wooden structure) were all wonderful. I was able to relax completely. Thank you very much.

    From start to finish...

    From start to finish, this Ryokan was incredibly comfortable. Both the dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, with each dish being of exceptionally high quality. It left both our stomachs and hearts completely satisfied. The view from the private open-air bath in our room was stunning, and the open-air bath in the large communal bath was equally amazing. What surprised us the most was the smoking area. It was the first time we had seen such an atmospheric smoking area. It was such a pleasant space that we thought it could even have a futon there. We were very indecisive about which Property to choose for our honeymoon, but choosing this one was absolutely the right decision. The service, hospitality, meals, rooms, atmosphere, and open-air baths were all nothing short of perfect. It was such a wonderful experience that we definitely want to visit again! Thank you so much to all the staff for allowing us to spend such a lovely time as a couple.

    Onsen is nice.

    In the evening, after returning home and taking a bath, my skin was still smooth. Could it be the effects of the Onsen? Not having to wear slippers inside the facility is convenient for the elderly. The floor heating on the tatami is also very nice.

    As always, I am satisfied.

    There are stairs to the large public bath, and since my knees hurt, I used the bath in the room. The room this time had a sense of openness and a good view outside, which was nice. Depending on the room, there are room baths that feel cramped, so in the case of this property, I think it's important to prioritize the view from the window when choosing a room. The food is delicious, but the meat sushi I ordered separately was much better than the hydrogen-something steak that came with the meal. I would like to request a reconsideration of the main dish. It might be a bit harsh? But as always, I was very satisfied. It is a recommendable property. There are many foreigners, and I am concerned about their manners in the future. I hope you don't forget the history of being supported by Japanese people. As for checkout, I would like it to be at 12:00 for Diamond members. I reduced one star in anticipation of future changes.

    Everything is perfect.

    I have stayed here several times, and it truly is the best property. The meals, room, and bath are all very satisfying, but the highlight of Enkano Mori is definitely the service! The attendant this time was particularly wonderful, and I wanted to give a score of 10 out of 5. Everyone, including the shuttle service and front desk, was courteous, and being here is very soothing. This time, I splurged on a suite-type room for the first time, and I thought it was worth it. I spent blissful moments changing places between the sofa, table, and more. The bath, where you can enjoy two types of spring quality in the large public bath and room, was also great. (I'm not a fan of stone saunas, so it would be perfect if there was a sauna...) I came without any plans for the next day, but I enjoyed the POLA Museum of Art that was recommended to me! So far, I haven't found a better property in Hakone. The cost of the suite type is high, but I will definitely come back to stay again!!! Thank you very much.

    Consider Rebooking.

    I was very satisfied. The staff gave the impression of being generally young, but their service was very polite, and I had a pleasant stay. The highlight was the food. There were innovative ideas within the traditional Japanese cuisine (such as nori soy sauce), and the seasoning was neither too light nor too strong, making it very delicious. The portion was just enough to fill me up, and I was very satisfied. The only thing that bothered me was the bathtub in the large public bath. It was unfortunate that when I was in the lukewarm water, my foot hit the drain, causing clumps of hair and other debris to float up.

    Wonderful

    I stayed for one night, and from the pick-up at Gora Station to the matcha provided at check-in, the service was of an excellent standard. The view of the Hakone outer rim mountains from the Room, the open-air bath on the terrace, everything was superb. I bathed four times. It was pleasant to have the bath towels replaced during dinner. The highlight was the meals. Both dinner and breakfast allowed me to feel the uncompromising spirit of the head chef. I think the level of Ryokan in Hakone is generally high, but this place is outstanding among them.
