  The facility is disappointing.

  Both the Japanese-Western style Room and amenities were satisfying, but it was disappointing that there was no handwashing area in the toilet. Without a tank, it felt very inconvenient to go all the way to the sink outside. The private open-air bath in the Room was also enjoyable, and since there seemed to be almost no users at the underground Onsen, I could relax with my mother as if we had it all to ourselves. Meals were served in private rooms both for breakfast and dinner, allowing us to enjoy them comfortably without worrying about others.

  Almost satisfied, but...

  The accommodation itself was excellent, and I was especially satisfied with the food. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, even when I made troublesome requests, for which I am truly grateful. The only downside, as others have mentioned, is that the internet connection was almost nonexistent. I tried to look up travel times and opening hours for the next day's sightseeing spots but eventually gave up because of the poor connection (it does work for a few hours early in the morning). I recommend researching in advance rather than relying on doing it at the accommodation. Other than this issue, I believe you will be fully satisfied.
