    We had a wonderful time.

    I stayed here with my wife for our wedding anniversary. The Room and the in-room bath were very clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy a wonderful time. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious no matter what we tried, and we were truly impressed. All of the staff were kind, and greeted us every time we saw them, so even though it was just a one-night stay, we felt very comfortable throughout. If we have the opportunity, I sincerely hope to stay here again. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience.

    I want to come again!

    We visited for a short trip to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. When making the Reservation, I mentioned that it was a special occasion and noted foods I don’t like and allergy ingredients. They kindly prepared alternatives for the items I can’t eat and even congratulated us—such thoughtful, attentive service truly moved me. Even staff members we passed in the hallway stopped and bowed to us. Their considerate hospitality was incredibly comforting and made us very happy. The Room was spacious, spotless, quiet, and we didn’t notice any surrounding noise at all. Outside, we could hear only natural sounds—the water in the open-air bath, the wind, and the trees—and it was such a peaceful space that just lying down with my eyes closed felt like I could fall asleep immediately (and I actually did). As soon as we arrived, we took a quick soak in the open-air bath, had dinner, returned for another long soak (until we were completely warmed through), and enjoyed the footbath the next day as well. We could have stayed in forever. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Even unfamiliar dishes were beautifully seasoned and felt like a fresh experience, while familiar foods tasted unbelievably good thanks to true professional skill. It felt far removed from everyday life—such a happy time. We had breakfast at 9:00 a.m., but it was so good that I ended up having three bowls of rice (the rice itself was amazing!). It was just before the rainy season and we were fairly lucky with the weather; there wasn’t much wind and the temperature was perfect, so everything—including that—was comfortable throughout our stay. Before arriving, we took a walk around Gora Park; some hydrangeas were already in full bloom and absolutely beautiful. Next time, I’d love to come in summer—to soak in the open-air bath while listening to summer insects—and enjoy summer vegetables and fruit as well. I can see why many people would say “If you’re coming to Hakone, this is the place!” We will definitely return! This was my first time staying at an authentic Ryokan-style Accommodation like this, and it exceeded all expectations—I’m truly satisfied. We walked from Gora Station, so there’s quite a steep uphill slope that almost discouraged us—but it was absolutely worth making it to the top. It was amazing—an incredible trip overall.     Thoughtful and attentive hospitality.

    - Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The ingredients and seasoning were well prepared, and the timing of service was perfect. - We stayed in a Western-style Room, and it was spacious enough. - Thank you for preparing champagne for my birthday. - Some information online says there is a large public bath, but there is no large public bath. - The shower water pressure in the Room was just right.

    The Room and meals are excellent.

    This is our third stay in three consecutive years with my elderly parents. We have stayed at other Hotels with private open-air Onsen baths each time, but this one is truly well designed. It is very convenient and comfortable for seniors. Room: In addition to the bed and living area, there is an 8-tatami Japanese-style room where you can relax. Bath: The open-air Onsen bath is separated from the living area, so it cannot be seen from the Room, which is very convenient. The edge of the bath is low, making it easy for seniors to get in. Meals: Thoughtfully prepared, and we were satisfied with the taste. Staff: We are always grateful for the wonderful, heartfelt service.

    The finest Accommodation in Hakone

    Tsuki no Izumi offers outstanding value for money, and I was truly impressed by the huge open-air bath in the Room—it looked big enough for six people. The price was 70,000–80,000 yen for two guests with breakfast and dinner included; a very reasonable rate for such a large in-room open-air bath. It feels like camping in the forest. An amazing Accommodation. The meals were absolutely delicious. The hot spring water comes directly from the source, making this an exceptionally wonderful Accommodation—I definitely want to return. The best Accommodation in Hakone.

    We stayed here to celebrate a 70th birthday.

    Privacy was well maintained, and the spacious private open-air bath was truly impressive. We were very satisfied with the kaiseki-style cuisine, served one dish at a time in a private dining room.

    It was an unforgettable experience!

    Conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from the left exit of the cable car station. At this Accommodation, we were smoothly guided to our Room from check-in. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and the Onsen temperature was just right. Every dish was truly delicious, and there was great attention to detail in each plate—so we enjoyed not only the food but also the tableware itself. The staff member who served our meal was wonderful as well, which made dining even more enjoyable! We stayed to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and she was very happy. I’m also grateful for all the thoughtful consideration shown to me during my pregnancy. This is a lovely Accommodation that made us want to come back for sure!     Consistently High Satisfaction

    This was my second stay, and I had a satisfying accommodation experience similar to the previous time. Thank you very much. However, I felt something was missing, though I'm not sure what it was. As a returning guest, it was disappointing that there were no words from the hotel like "Welcome back..." or similar. I wonder if they are not particularly interested in repeat guests.

    Spacious Room with Open-Air Bath and Delicious Meals - Perfect!

    Unlike Hakone Yumoto, this Ryokan offers a quiet and serene mountain atmosphere, which was very pleasant. The open-air bath in the Room was particularly enjoyable with its perfect water temperature, allowing for a relaxing time. Meals were also delightful, featuring different rice brands for breakfast and dinner, as well as fresh local seafood and premium beef. On the downside regarding Facilities, it was disappointing that the toilet lacked a handwashing area and there was no lighting near the Nespresso machine, making it difficult to read the instructions in dim light.

    The facility shows some signs of age. Regular cleaning of visible areas like the roof and accumulated dirt in the bath would be beneficial. The private open-air bath in the room is spacious and relaxing, making up for the absence of a large public bath. Meals are served in semi-private rooms, so you might hear conversations from neighboring tables, which could be bothersome if they are noisy guests. The quality and quantity of the meals are excellent. Warm dishes like grilled fish are served properly hot, making them delicious. This accommodation offers great value for money, so I plan to bring my parents next time.

    This is our second visit with elderly parents.

    Due to my elderly parents, I searched for a Room with an Onsen open-air bath, beds for sleeping, and chairs in the living area. Since it was excellent last year, this is our second stay. 1) The low edge of the stone bathtub was convenient for my parents with mobility issues. 2) Even with three people, the Japanese-style room and living area are separated by sliding doors, making it quiet. 3) Both the food and service were excellent. Some minor drawbacks: 1) There are about three steps in front of the Room. 2) No handwashing sink inside the toilet, which was inconvenient. 3) Driving on Gora's steep slopes was a bit intimidating. Still, we look forward to staying again next year!

    I stayed at this accommodation for the first time during a golf trip over Golden Week. Before visiting, I checked reviews on several accommodation sites, and honestly, there weren’t many positive ones. However, perhaps because I didn’t have high expectations, I was overall satisfied with my stay. The meals were delicious both in the morning and evening, especially the rice! The staff's hospitality was also excellent. On the day of departure, it was raining, but they kindly provided me with a brand-new umbrella and even escorted me to my car using another large umbrella. Since it was during Golden Week, the price being somewhat higher is understandable; however, I felt it could be slightly more affordable overall. That said, none of the issues mentioned in reviews occurred during my stay—I had a comfortable experience. Thank you very much!

    Onsen is excellent.

    The room was clean, and the atmosphere of both the room and the open-air bath was excellent. The Onsen had a smooth texture and was amazing. However, the facility lacked a shop, there were no convenience stores nearby, no alcohol in vending machines, an empty refrigerator with only two bottles of mineral water. Alcohol could only be ordered at the front desk and was expensive—disappointing. Meals were served one after another in quick succession, making it feel rushed rather than allowing for a relaxed dining experience—again disappointing. It's such a shame to waste such a great Onsen experience.

    The best accommodation!

    Spacious bath, spacious room, and delicious meals! If you like Japanese cuisine, this is a must-visit! The Wi-Fi environment was also very helpful! Thank you for providing umbrellas as well! It was my wife's birthday, so we were also treated to some sake. We will definitely use this place again!

    With only 9 rooms, the accommodation was quiet and relaxing. The room was spacious and featured a beautiful Japanese-Western style. Overall, I was satisfied, but I couldn't help wondering if there might be a staff shortage. Reason 1: I arrived earlier than the check-in time and wanted to ask if it was okay to park my car, but there was no one at the front desk... Even after calling out or ringing the bell, no one came... After walking around inside the facility, I finally found a cleaning staff member. Reason 2: Late at night, a fire alarm went off loudly and startled me. I immediately called the number listed for use after 10:00 PM in the information guide but received no answer... It took about 30 minutes before they called back to confirm that it wasn't an actual fire.

    Located just a 3-5 minute walk from Chukokura, it is in a very quiet area. The food was incredibly delicious, and the onsen was just right, allowing for a very relaxing stay! The staff were very polite and pleasant. While some reviews mention issues with Wi-Fi, I had no trouble using AU without any stress. I would love to stay here again and recommend this accommodation to others.

    Always grateful for a comfortable stay.

    The meals are delicious, and the service is very pleasant. The spaciousness and cleanliness of the room, as well as the size of the private open-air onsen attached to it, were all highly satisfying. The only thing I would suggest is a bit more variety in amenities, though the essentials are well-covered. I heard that issues with Wi-Fi mentioned in some reviews are being gradually improved. Even my mother, who has become hesitant about traveling due to weak legs, said she would like to visit "Tsuki no Izumi" because there are few stairs, short distances to dining areas, and an onsen in the room requiring minimal movement. She also mentioned that "the food is delicious and everything is spacious and clean." She seems excited about visiting again soon! We look forward to coming back!

    It was quiet.

    Location: Within walking distance from Nakagora. Room: Clean, but the entrance area felt narrow and cluttered. Washing hands after using the toilet was inconvenient. As there were no amenities in the accommodation, it would have been nice to have at least some drinks in the fridge. Although it mentioned both yukata and loungewear as amenities, only yukata was provided. Meals: Delicious with good timing of service. Many places offer lower-quality substitutes for disliked ingredients, but that wasn’t the case here, which was appreciated. However, non-alcoholic drink options were limited; ginger ale would have been a nice addition. Onsen: Very pleasant and at a perfect temperature; I enjoyed multiple baths. However, due to boiler issues in the large public bathhouse, showers weren’t available there so I had to use the washing area in my room—it was cold! This might be challenging for older guests during this season. Also, while it’s my fault for misinterpreting room photos online, I found the outdoor bath smaller than expected with a roll curtain down (not where I wanted it), which diminished its open-air feel. I had hoped to enjoy an onsen experience surrounded by greenery but felt disappointed on that front. That said, all staff members were very kind and accommodating—overall a very quiet and peaceful accommodation!

    High-class? Really?

    We stayed at the accommodation to spend some relaxing time together after a long while. The deciding factor for choosing this place was its high ratings and positive reviews on various sites. Although the price was on the higher side, we thought, "It's highly rated, and it's been a while since our last trip, so let's splurge!" We were very excited from the moment we made the reservation until the day of our stay. Upon arrival at the accommodation, we found that the entrance was located midway up a slope with a parking lot that was slightly difficult to park in. We had to back in from the road again, and I got out of the passenger seat to check for cars coming down the hill while guiding my husband with "Alright! Alright!" After parking, staff came out to greet us. Considering how close the front desk is to the parking lot and its location on a slope, it would have been better if they had come out earlier to guide us. The greeting upon arrival also felt underwhelming for what is supposed to be a high-class accommodation. During check-in, one of their staff explained about their facilities but mentioned with an awkward smile that due to boiler issues, only cold water would come out of indoor shower taps. While having an open-air bath in our room helped mitigate this issue somewhat—why mention it with such an attitude? No apology either? This left us feeling slightly uncomfortable right at check-in. The room itself was spacious; its private open-air bath offered great views which were satisfying overall—but furnishings seemed cheaply made compared against expectations set by other high-end accommodations we've visited before. Dinner could best be described as average—not much creativity evident within plating or choice-of-dishware presentation-wise—whereas breakfast proved hearty & delicious enough leaving us satisfied there instead! However dining occurred inside private rooms whose windows overlooked balconies cluttered heavily beneath fallen leaves detracting significantly amidst otherwise beautiful autumn foliage outside—a missed opportunity maintenance-wise! Post-checkout greetings felt rushed-through lacking warmth altogether disappointingly so too… Later walking nearby grounds afterward revealed another awkward encounter seeing same attending staff
