    Felt the history.

This is a family stay. The building seems to have been cherished and well-maintained over the years. I was a bit worried about the children damaging the shoji screens. The Facility is old, but the staff were very kind, and the service was excellent.

A renowned Ryokan loved by distinguished figures

Staying in an accommodation designated as an Important Cultural Property offers a rare and valuable experience. The cuisine, hot springs, and hospitality were excellent. Additionally, the next day included a guided explanation of the historic building, leaving me completely satisfied both physically and mentally.

    Quantum leap

You can feel the elegance of a long-established Ryokan.

I am satisfied with the Onsen's gentle water quality, delicious meals, and attentive service.

    This is the best Property.

I visited after a long time, and I still think this is the best Property. The staff's thoughtful care made me feel at ease, just like returning home. The meals provided in the Room were all truly delicious. My husband, who loves fish, was impressed by the freshness of the sashimi. The hot spring water in the large public bath was, of course, wonderful, and the bath in the Room, with its natural hot spring flow, was very comfortable—I enjoyed soaking in it multiple times. I also thoroughly enjoyed the kotatsu in the Room. Thank you for the wonderful time. I look forward to visiting again.

    The hospitality was exceptional.

As the title suggests, the service was truly wonderful. There are two types of baths (excluding the Room bath), and the larger one was especially perfect in terms of temperature, depth, and size. The food was also very delicious. I thought it was a Ryokan I would like to visit again.

    I felt very healed.

The Onsen, cuisine, service, and room were all excellent. As expected, a long-established Ryokan brings peace and healing to the heart. The Onsen felt like it permeated the body and worked from deep within. The service was also wonderful. We were truly taken care of.

The response from the staff, including those at the front desk, was wonderful, allowing us to relax and unwind. In particular, we were well taken care of by the attendant during both dinner and breakfast. Not only did she explain the dishes, but she also shared little anecdotes while serving, which was delightful and made for lively conversation, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant dining experience. She was friendly yet maintained an appropriate distance, making us feel very comfortable. We even discussed as a family after returning home how such a person is well-suited to be an attendant. Despite being provided with information about events around the property, we had to make a quick return this time (sorry about that), but we plan to visit at a more leisurely pace next time. Thank you very much for taking care of us this time.

Onsen room included, suitable for families with children, with meals served in the room for breakfast and dinner.

Room & Amenities: The room's private bath is an Onsen, allowing us to enjoy it even after the children went to sleep. Given the historical nature of the building, it's understandable, but the air conditioning was quite outdated and not very comfortable. There were no issues with the room's cleanliness. Service: The service provided by the staff in the room and at the front desk was kind. Onsen & Bath: The indoor bath in the large communal bath had a lower temperature, making it easy for small children to bathe. The open-air bath had a higher temperature, perfect for entering under the cold sky. Facility: As a Ryokan with a rich history, it has a certain charm. Compared to more modern Ryokans with comfortable facilities, it might feel lacking. Dining: We enjoyed our meals leisurely in the room for both breakfast and dinner. The set of three local sake varieties we received as a Diamond Member benefit was worth 4,000 yen, and we couldn't finish it, so we took it home as a souvenir. Satisfaction: The purely Japanese-style Ryokan seemed quite novel for the children, and they enjoyed it. We were very satisfied to be able to enjoy the Onsen in the room with the family.

We hope to improve our guest rooms.

I stayed at Katsura in the Showa building. The staff at the property were very kind. The futon was smooth and comfortable, possibly due to the fabric softener, and the mattress was of high quality, providing a very good sleep experience. On the other hand, there were some concerns. The wallpaper in the room was severely stained and damaged, the ceiling was full of stains with knots protruding, the sliding doors had large stains, the tatami mats were sunburned to an ochre color, and the tatami edges were frayed. The wallpaper, sliding doors, and tatami mats were long overdue for replacement, making it a very shabby room. The cleaning was done properly, and it would not be an issue for a ryokan in the low 10,000 yen range, but I was disappointed as I heard it was a first-class, long-established ryokan with an accommodation fee close to 30,000 yen. The flowers in the alcove were artificial. I was pleased to find cold water available after a bath, but there was no place to sit, so I had to stand and drink. There were several other things that made me wonder. My impression is that it was not worth the price.

    We stayed for my hus...

We stayed for my husband's birthday trip. From the time of Reservation, our expectations were high, and the hospitality did not disappoint, leaving us very satisfied. After the Reservation, I inquired if they could prepare a birthday cake, and they gladly agreed. Upon arrival at the Ryokan, we were immediately greeted, and the staff in charge explained the facilities and guided us to our Room. After discussing meal times, we headed to the large public bath. We were able to relax and soak almost privately. Dinner was abundant in variety, and everything was delicious. During dessert, they delivered the birthday cake we had discussed in advance while singing a song. My husband was very pleased. We took a morning bath before breakfast. This time, it was also almost private. The baths seem to switch between men and women at different times, so we enjoyed a different bath from the previous night. Breakfast had plenty of accompaniments for rice, leaving us feeling full. Choosing Fukuzumi for the birthday trip was a great decision. Thank you very much.

Impressed by the quality of the hot water

It is an old but well-maintained and clean property. The hot water is as wonderful as reputed, and you can bathe multiple times without feeling fatigued. It truly relieved my body. The two bath areas switch between men and women at different times. The bath on the right side is quite small both indoors and outdoors, but there was no one there during my time, so it was not a problem. It is truly relaxing. It might be a bit tight if there are many people. The one on the left is spacious, but the lighting in the outdoor bath at night feels too bright. I think it would be more relaxing if it were a bit dimmer, so please consider it. Cold and delicious water from Hakone is always replenished at the entrance of the bath. The meals were excellent in both quantity and quality. It was not a meal with a lot of common items that unnecessarily fill your stomach, but a well-considered composition that leaves you comfortable after eating. A friend living overseas was so impressed with the deliciousness of the rice here that they kept asking for more, haha. Indeed, the rice grains were shiny and delicious! Unfortunately, I couldn't visit the special rooms at the designated time in the morning this time, but I look forward to it next time. The staff were all courteous, and I had a pleasant stay. Thank you very much. I will visit again!

A quiet Yumoto surrounded by authenticity

It was a genuine Stays that far exceeded the impression received on the web. There was nothing unnecessary, an atmosphere where attention to detail could be felt everywhere, equally modest service, and wonderful dinner and breakfast. And all at a reasonable price. It was a wonderful Stays that is hard to come across these days. I look forward to visiting again.

    Cozy Stays

This is my third stay. I always feel at ease here! It's so comfortable! The hospitality from the staff, characteristic of a long-established property, is extremely pleasant! The hot spring, known as "mawata no yu," is gentle and has a quality that makes you want to enter it repeatedly. The food was delicious, even though it seems the head chef has changed. However, I found the saltiness of the mushroom soup at the end to be a bit strong for my taste. I'm sure I'll enjoy the food again the next time I visit. Thank you for driving me to the station in the light rain on my way back. I will visit again, so please take care of me.

    Very satisfied

I was completely satisfied with the service, room, Onsen, and meals. I took my mother, who has difficulty walking, and she was happy to have a comfortable stay. I would definitely like to recommend it to my acquaintances.

    Stone building from Meiji 5...!

The interior consists of a Showa-era building connected to a stone building. The interior is like a mysterious maze, and just walking around is exciting. The Japanese-style room design is wonderful, allowing you to relax in peace. A lovely hidden Stays!

Stay at an Important Cultural Property

This time, I stayed in a room from the Meiji era and enjoyed the elaborate shoji and transom fittings. When I opened the window of the wide veranda, I was soothed by the sound of insects and the murmuring of the river. The interior of the building is old but well-maintained, which impressed me. During the tour of the building, I heard various stories and had an interesting and enjoyable time. I thought the lighting in the guest room was dim, but during the tour, I learned that it was much darker in the Meiji era, and I thought it was also an experience to enjoy the dimness. The meals were very delicious, and I ate too much (lol). The retro tiles in the large public bath were very cute. Thank you for taking care of us.
