    Polite and attentive service

    Stayed on a weekday in mid-December. The service was very courteous, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing time. Both dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious. Since the public bath only has indoor facilities, we recommend using the private open-air bath! The room was spacious, and I would love to stay at this accommodation again.

    I was soothed at a quiet Ryokan.

    The quality was just as described in the reviews. This time, we wanted to relax as a family, and it was perfect for that. Although our room was right in front of the front desk, it surprisingly didn’t bother us. The antique furniture, paintings, and family bath were all wonderful. The meals were delicious—perhaps thanks to the chef’s expertise—and we especially recommend the sake tasting set. It would have been nice if the baths were available throughout the night, but perhaps that’s due to cost considerations. We’ll visit again! It’s easy to come by car and seems suitable for a workcation as well.

    I was satisfied with the high quality.

    Upon arrival, the staff came to greet us at the car and carried our luggage to our Room. Their polished service and refined hospitality truly impressed us. Also, just as the Reviews said, the meals were made with high-quality ingredients and great care—they were absolutely delicious. The private reservable bath also had a large tub, so we could relax comfortably. In Hakone, we were amazed to receive this level of service at this price—we were extremely satisfied.

    This is a reliable and excellent accommodation.

    This is Nanase Hakone. I had a great experience, so I stayed for multiple nights. Yesterday morning, after waking up from being heavily intoxicated, I realized my wallet had fallen out of my pocket. After searching everywhere without success, I called the front desk and was informed that it had been found at the restaurant. Luckily, it was returned to me. While the money wasn't a concern, losing two credit cards and two main bank withdrawal cards would have been serious. This is a trustworthy accommodation; the person who found my wallet was a part-time worker from Nepal, and I thanked her personally. The room's bath is an onsen as well, so there’s no need to visit the large public bath area. Initially, I did go to the large bath but found the sauna too dark and scary while the changing room was too hot. One downside here is that there are no food or alcohol options in the shop; however, wine at the restaurant is affordable and delicious. Please consider adding beer options in vending machines—it’s all part of life lessons for minors anyway! The meals and service were excellent as well as their phone support—very precise! The front desk staff are fluent in foreign languages which makes this place popular among international guests. I’ll definitely come back again! It would be even better if check-out time could be extended to 12 PM!

    Tranquil Accommodation

    The accommodation was chosen for its onsen and meals, and both dinner and breakfast met our expectations. Although we were told it was fully booked, we hardly encountered other guests within the facility, including in the baths. One minor concern was that the lighting in the sauna of the large public bath was too dim to even see the provided hourglass. The private bath was excellent, and we ended up using it multiple times.

    For workation use.

    I stayed for a workation including refreshment purposes. The staff were very friendly, and the accommodation was very quiet. The only sound I could hear was the murmuring of Jakotsu River. The meals in the morning and evening were absolutely wonderful.

    A Getaway to Hakone with an Old Friend

    Stayed with an old friend at the accommodation. As it is an older accommodation, it felt average overall. The bath is small and only has indoor facilities. Amenities are minimal (perhaps understandable given the affordable price). We were engrossed in chatting, so we were reasonably satisfied with this budget-friendly accommodation. The staff were wonderful people.

    It is a very good accommodation.

    We visited to celebrate my 91-year-old mother's birthday. Although we arrived a bit early, we were kindly allowed into the room, which gave my mother time to relax. The Junior Suite room had a square-shaped bathtub that was easy for my mother to use, and with the water set at a warmer temperature, she was very satisfied. The private bath was spacious and refreshing with a pleasant breeze coming through. The meals were just right for us (we are not light eaters), and both the fish and meat dishes, as well as the broth and seasoning, were of high quality and delicious. The beds and bedding were also of excellent quality, allowing us to sleep well. While the building itself seems to have been constructed about 30 years ago—it’s not brand new—it gives off an impression of using high-quality materials (unlike some newly built hotels that sometimes feel cheaply made). We couldn’t hear any noise from others walking in the hallways at all, making it an incredibly peaceful stay. In Hakone, where there are many large resort hotels or overly expensive accommodations, we found this cost-effective accommodation. We will definitely visit again!

    We had a great time.

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and the meals, both breakfast and dinner, were all delicious. The shuttle service to the station was very prompt. It was very quiet, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. Thank you very much.

    The meals were absolutely delicious.

    Choosing the meal plan was truly a great decision! Due to heavy rain, we couldn't go outside, so we spent a relaxing time in our room and later went to the dining area. It had semi-private partitions with bamboo blinds, creating a calm atmosphere. The meals were intricately prepared and absolutely delicious—completely satisfying! There were three private open-air Onsen baths available without Reservation, so we could use them anytime they were free without waiting or adjusting our schedule. It was very convenient and enjoyable. The Room was slightly older or renovated but still comfortable. We enjoyed a peaceful time overlooking the river right in front of us while relaxing with meals and Onsen. We'd love to visit again! The staff's hospitality was also excellent!

    Bringing towels to the large public bath requires a basket. It is best to use the towels provided in the large public bath and private baths rather than bringing them from your Room. This is not a Business Hotel.

    Art Hotel

    The music, room, cuisine, and natural surroundings were all wonderful. Especially relaxing was the sound of the river while soaking in the open-air bath. I was able to unwind while feeling close to nature. If I may suggest, considering the price, it would be nice if the refrigerator contents were more abundant (perhaps making it all-inclusive). One thing that caught my attention was the water stains on the glass around the shower room. If you are promoting this as a special suite, this should be cleaned promptly by professionals. Also, compared to the private shower area, the water pressure felt quite weak. That said, everyone working there provided exceptional hospitality and made my stay very pleasant. I’d love to visit again!

    Onsen is the best!

    We arrived a bit early, but we were warmly guided to our room. The room was very spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the excitement of entering the Onsen from the washroom. The bath made of cypress wood was large, allowing us to stretch out and relax fully; we soaked in it multiple times and were extremely satisfied. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. There were three private Onsen baths available, allowing us to fully enjoy an Onsen experience. Dinner consisted of heartfelt and delicious dishes. It might feel slightly insufficient for younger guests, but we were completely satisfied. We hardly encountered other guests during our stay, which provided a great sense of privacy. Even the foreign staff seemed to be working very hard and doing their best. Thank you for taking care of us!

    Delicious Creative Cuisine

    Stayed for two nights with my daughter. The creative cuisine, showcasing the chef's excellent sense, was a delightful fusion of traditional Japanese dishes with rich dashi and innovative Western-style meals. Each dish, from the carefully selected ingredients to even the soy sauce and pickles, reflected thoughtful attention to detail and was truly exceptional. The private onsen with natural hot spring water could be used freely multiple times, which was a wonderful experience. The staff were all kind and welcoming with warm smiles throughout our stay. We stayed in the "Ninohira" suite room this time; however, it did not meet expectations for what one might imagine as a suite room. As mentioned in other reviews, most of the space was occupied by a large bed base (referred to as a daybed by the accommodation), leaving only about 30 square meters of usable space similar to that of a standard twin room. Unfortunately, there were stains on the thin mattress atop this bed base making it unusable. The bathroom door had what seemed like vinyl sheets attached—possibly for moisture protection—which felt out of place in a suite room setting. Additionally, some furnishings such as inexpensive tableware (from Cainz), plastic trash bins, mirrors resembling those sold at discount stores, hard wooden bench-like sofas that were uncomfortable to sit on for long periods also detracted from its appeal. The laundry basket looked quite worn-out and hesitant-to-use; replacing or upgrading these items would greatly enhance this accommodation’s charm overall. During our stay there was an unexpected incident but we deeply appreciated how professionally & sincerely handled everything by their manager—thank you very much! We used your accommodation for celebrating an occasion—it became memorable thanks again!

    Annual Parent-Child Trip

    Arrived a bit early in light rain but was promptly guided to the Room. The bath in the Room was always ready, so I enjoyed a soak right away. Dinner was vibrant kaiseki cuisine, with portions just right for my elderly mother and me. As the rain grew heavier, I relaxed multiple times in the bath while listening to the sound of the nearby river. The hinoki bath at sunrise was truly soothing. However, due to an unused double bed in the Room, my mother with limited mobility couldn't reach the window to view the river. It would be nice if it were removed for a more spacious Room layout. The breakfast featuring black cod and two small dishes of choice was delicious. A coffee maker in the Room would have been a great addition too. We left saying we'd love to come back again!

    Very satisfied

    The parking guidance was easy to follow, and the room had a nice atmosphere. With not too many rooms, there was little interaction with other guests, allowing for relaxation. The meal portions were just right and included many delicious items, giving the impression of prioritizing quality over quantity compared to other Ryokan. This left a pleasant feeling after meals. All the staff were very pleasant, making it a completely satisfying stay after a long time. Thank you very much.

    If you want to enjoy the Onsen.

    In a way, if you're just looking to enjoy the Onsen, it might be acceptable. However, it is also true that expecting it to meet the standards of a Property costing over 30,000 yen per night might be unreasonable. In my opinion, it would be nice if options like No Meals Included, breakfast included, dinner included, or both breakfast and dinner included could be customized.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night and two days recently. The food was very delicious and felt carefully prepared. The baths, including the large public bath, private bath, and room bath, each had their own charm and were enjoyable. The staff's response was courteous and left a very good impression. I would like to use it again.

    Very satisfied with the bath.

    The room's bath was very spacious, and I was amazed by the magnificent hinoki bath. I enjoyed it multiple times while listening to the sound of the river flowing. The private bath was also open-air and very nice. The spring quality was also excellent with free-flowing hot spring water. Although there is some age, it is comfortable. The meals were visually enjoyable and delicious. I think this is the perfect property for when you want to spend a leisurely private time!
