    Thank you for your support the other day.

    It was my first visit in a while, but there were fewer drinks in the refrigerator, and the slippers were gone. As it gets colder, I’m worried about the bathroom area.

    The Only Disappointing Thing

    This was my first stay here. I had no idea there was such a wonderful Onsen Ryokan less than an hour from home. The service was excellent, and we truly enjoyed the delicious meals. In particular, the steamed dish with spiny lobster, abalone, and beef was outstanding. The bath in the Room was also wonderful, and I also used the day-use Onsen. After dinner, we relaxed in the Room watching Netflix and YouTube, and the late-night snack was delicious as well. If I had to mention one request, it would be that breakfast starts a little late. As I’ve gotten older I wake up early, so I’d appreciate it if breakfast could start sometime after 7:00 a.m. That said... what disappointed me happened after breakfast. My one real hobby is watching Major League Baseball. These days, the only TV program I watch is MLB on BS channels. Since check-out is at 11:00 a.m., I thought I’d be able to relax at the Ryokan and enjoy baseball until then, so I didn’t record it at home before coming. However... when I tried to watch on the big screen by pressing the BS button, there was no BS broadcast available. I was honestly surprised—I assumed BS channels would be standard at any Ryokan (that assumption is on me). I don’t mind if Netflix isn’t available; but at minimum, I would like BS channels to be accessible. So overall it would have been perfect except for this point, but for Facility/equipment and overall satisfaction I rated it 4 stars.

    When visiting with m...

    When visiting with my elderly parents, our requirements were barrier-free access, and the deciding factor was that the open-air bath in the Room is fed by an Onsen. This time, even family members who couldn’t make it to the large public bath were able to enjoy the Onsen with peace of mind. This place mainly operates as a day-use Onsen, with only six Rooms for overnight stays. The accommodation building has new Facilities, is well maintained, and we were very satisfied. We went to the large public bath in the evening, but it was not separated from day-use guests, and since it follows day-use hours (9:00–21:00), I felt it might be better to use the Onsen in the Room instead. However, at night the lantern next to the open-air bath on the terrace was not lit and it was too dark, so we couldn’t use it late at night. If there had been clear instructions on how to turn on a light, we would have felt safer using it. In the early morning, we enjoyed soaking in the Onsen while looking out at green mountains and feeling the sunrise. To reach our Room from the lobby you go downstairs through a guest-only area unlocked with a key; however, there is a fairly long sloped tatami corridor to walk along, and also a long corridor decorated in a retro Showa style leading to the dining area. This was somewhat difficult for family members with limited mobility. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, at dinner time some staff seemed very busy and their service didn’t feel particularly attentive or welcoming (it felt more like an ordinary restaurant), which was disappointing. At check-in they disinfected my walking cart wheels and cane at the entrance and allowed me to use them throughout the building and inside our Room as well, which was extremely helpful. The Room only had a low table with floor chairs; I would have appreciated having a small table and standard chairs (there were some on the terrace). From night until breakfast time, only guests staying in those six Rooms were inside during that period, so it felt calm and comfortable. We also received complimentary late-night snacks and free drinks from the refrigerator, plus a small souvenir when leaving. I’d love to visit again—next time during colder weather.

    It was excellent.

    I stayed with my 91-year-old mother, who uses a walking cart. Thank you for the Shuttle Service from Kaizuka Station. The meals had a gentle flavor and were very delicious; my mother said they were delicious and finished everything. We were able to relax in the Onsen in our Room.\nMy mother says she wants to come again, so please welcome us back.

    Great-value Onsen accommodation

    With a private open-air Onsen in your Room, you can enjoy it as many times as you like at any time. There is also an in-room massage chair for unlimited use, and you can watch both YouTube and Netflix. A speaker is provided as well—connect via Bluetooth to listen to your favorite music. Both dinner and breakfast are served in private dining rooms. For a late-night snack, you can have an onigiri rice ball or bread. All drinks in the refrigerator—mandarin orange juice, ramune soda, red wine, white wine, beer, water, and more—are free. Overall, this Accommodation offers excellent value for money. One downside is that because the open-air bath is surrounded by lush greenery, you may encounter insects. In colder seasons there are fewer bugs, which may make it even better.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    This was my third stay. Everyone was kind, the food was delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful; I was also very satisfied with the massage services and Netflix. From the open-air bath in my Room, I could see beautiful cherry blossoms, so I felt lucky to have visited at this time of year. Thank you as always.

    I’m a returning guest.

    This was my third stay. Last time I stayed in the newly added Kikyo Room, so this time I stayed in the other Fuji Room. The Kikyo Room felt too spacious for two people and didn’t feel very relaxing, so the Fuji Room was more comfortable. However, as others have mentioned, noise from people coming and going outside carries into the Room, which bothered me. As for meals, I was a little disappointed that the repeat-guest one-drink service was no longer available. Also, I always order the Wagyu stone-grilled course, but it has now been split into sirloin and tenderloin options. I splurged on the tenderloin, but didn’t find it particularly tasty and regretted not choosing the sirloin instead... Everything else, including breakfast, was delicious. I’ve mentioned a few things, but the hot spring water quality is excellent, and the complimentary in-room refrigerator items as well as late-night snacks and souvenirs are outstanding—truly attentive service—so I would definitely like to return. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    The Onsen was wonderful.

    While traveling in Osaka, we were looking for an Onsen Accommodation and found this Accommodation with excellent Reviews. The Onsen was wonderful, just as the Reviews said. The Room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The Onsen temperature was perfect—we even said we could stay in it forever. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Finally, as others who stayed in the same Room have mentioned in their Reviews, the Fuji Room seems to be close to a staff area, so the loud bang of doors closing can often be heard inside the Room. If doors could be closed more quietly—for example, by holding them while closing—it would make guests’ stay even more comfortable. The Room and Onsen were truly outstanding.

    We were able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen at this hidden Accommodation.

    The Onsen was at just the right temperature, so I enjoyed it many times and was very satisfied. However, the front desk is separated only by the entrance for day-use Onsen guests and overnight guests, and once inside it feels mixed together, so I wish there had been a front desk exclusively for overnight guests. Also, the sink drain in the Room did not drain well. Breakfast was served with freshly cooked rice and was very delicious—I was extremely satisfied!

    Relaxing Travel

    We chose this Ryokan for a relaxing trip as a couple. The personalized service and attention unique to a Ryokan with few rooms allowed us to enjoy quality time together without encountering other guests. While I personally felt it was unfortunate that there was no explanation about the dinner ingredients, it is still a wonderful Ryokan where you can truly unwind.

    Relax and unwind.

    It takes less than an hour by car from home, so I have visited multiple times. Upon entering the Room, I immediately feel relaxed. You can enjoy the private open-air bath in the Room, use the massage chair, and take advantage of free drinks in the refrigerator such as beer, orange juice, ramune soda, red and white wine. This allows you to unwind until mealtime. The dining area offers semi-private or fully private spaces with a retro Showa-era atmosphere. There are several dinner options available; we’ve tried them all before but find that the standard option is more than satisfying for us. Dinner also includes a complimentary drink service. Breakfast features freshly cooked rice from a traditional pot along with a good variety of side dishes that were deliciously prepared. We look forward to visiting again!

    It was a very lovely accommodation.

    The accommodation provided exceptional service in every aspect, including the room, meals, staff hospitality, and amenities. Despite the meal taking two hours, the staff kindly adjusted to our pace without any complaints and even gave us a souvenir at the end, leaving us completely satisfied. Traveling with my elderly mother came with many concerns, but thanks to the well-maintained facilities and attentive staff, we were able to enjoy our stay. Thank you very much. Both the private open-air bath in our room and the large public bath had excellent water quality that left our skin feeling smooth.

    Such a great accommodation nearby!

    I found this accommodation while searching for a nearby place to stay to level up my IKYU.com status. A friend mentioned they had used the day-use Onsen after golf but had never stayed overnight. It’s true—it's only about 40 minutes from my home, a hidden gem close by. The room was spacious, and the Onsen was at the perfect temperature. I could relax while listening to the soothing sounds of a stream and cicadas. After soaking in the bath, I enjoyed unwinding in a massage chair. The fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks, and thoughtful touches were everywhere, making for an incredibly pleasant stay. The meals were all delicious, served at just the right timing. On departure, we were even told to take home any leftover drinks from the fridge like juice or beer without hesitation—and we gladly did! They also gave us some sweets as souvenirs. Having discovered such a relaxing Onsen accommodation nearby, I’m already looking forward to making time for another visit soon!

    You can relax and unwind.

    This was my first visit. As my friend mentioned, it was relaxing, and the Room was clean! It was excellent. Drinks in the refrigerator were free, including beer, wine, and orange juice prepared for each guest. The public bath is available from 9:00 to 21:00, which felt a bit short; however, each Room has an open-air bath that can be used anytime, which made me very satisfied. The meals were delicious with hand-drawn illustrations of the dishes on the menu. A complimentary drink came with the meal, and there were even late-night snacks provided—my stomach was full! I now understand why people want to visit repeatedly.

    Revisit

    Last year, I mentioned dissatisfaction with the lack of curtains in the room and the absence of a restroom near the dining area. However, during my stay in the same room this time, everything had been improved. Both the meals and the Onsen in our room were satisfying, and I was able to relax on a trip with my daughter. However, I found it puzzling that the bed sizes differed between single and double (or semi-double?).

    Cozy and Comfortable Space

    Stayed for a Multiple Night Stay during the Obon holiday. Stayed in the "Yuri" Room. Although there were some steps in the room, my elderly mother with weak legs was able to enjoy her stay thanks to handrails and other supports, including enjoying the open-air bath. The room was spacious with high ceilings, offering a comfortable and relaxing space. All beverages in the refrigerator are complimentary, and repeat guests receive a free drink during dinner. Meals are Japanese-style; those seeking Western elements might find it less suitable. The flavors are well-balanced without being overly salty or sweet, allowing you to savor the natural taste of ingredients. The béchamel sauce on the gratin of blue crab served as part of this visit's "Senshu Kaiseki" meal was particularly memorable—smooth and not too heavy—a delightful touch of Western cuisine! Since it’s summer, I thought it would be nice if they served pickled Senshu water eggplant as well. The white rice is exceptionally delicious (especially when cooked in an iron pot for breakfast).

    Repeat

    This is our third stay as a couple, enjoying a relaxing time. While many famous Onsen accommodations feel sufficient after one visit, this place makes us want to return every time. The highlight is definitely the room with an open-air bath. Although there are many accommodations offering rooms with open-air baths, the thoughtful design connecting the room, changing area, shower room, and open-air bath here stands out. You can leisurely enjoy the open-air bath in any season—spring, summer, autumn, or winter. In the city, you might only hear cicadas like Kumazemi, but here you can also hear Higurashi and other cicada sounds. Of course, the meals are delicious as well. Once again, we had a relaxing and highly satisfying stay!

    This was my second stay, following my visit in spring. I reserved the same room as last time because I enjoyed it so much. Everyone was very kind and attentive, and I truly appreciated the hospitality. For dinner this time, I chose a meat dish, which was delicious. I had a sudden back pain right before my visit and was worried if I could make it, but soaking in the onsen helped me feel a bit better. Thank you for providing such a relaxing experience.

    Had a wonderful time on my return visit!

    I visited this accommodation for the first time last December, and this is my second stay. I loved the universal design room, so I chose "Ajisai" again this time. Perhaps due to the season, mosquito coils were lit in the open-air bath area, and a mosquito repellent device was already turned on in the room. The room was impeccably clean, making my stay very comfortable. The refrigerator offered free drinks, and there was more than enough supply of water, hot water, coffee, and tea. The meals were delicious Japanese cuisine. I especially appreciated that the rice was cooked in a traditional pot; it was my first time having bean rice at an accommodation—it had just the right amount of saltiness and tasted exquisite. For a late-night snack, they even provided rice balls (with rolled omelet and pickles), which made me feel truly pampered. The onsen is a radium hot spring that warms you from within; I enjoyed multiple baths followed by relaxation on a massage chair for an exceptional rest experience. I also appreciated the Japanese-patterned drawstring bag containing amenities like bathrobes (which you can take home). After rain from the previous day cleared up completely into refreshing sunny weather, I enjoyed the lush greenery and soothing sound of Kinoki River's stream nearby. I look forward to staying here again!

    Great Value!

    The room was spacious, and I loved being able to use the private open-air bath anytime, which made my stay very comfortable. The fridge was well-stocked with complimentary items, and the mandarin orange juice was especially delicious. At check-in, I was pleasantly surprised when told, "Feel free to take anything left over with you," something I've never heard at other accommodations. With unlimited access to Netflix, I also enjoyed watching movies. The hallway leading to the dining area for dinner featured nostalgic retro Showa-era signs that were fun for middle-aged guests like me. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. There is no overly attentive service such as greeting or seeing off guests in an elaborate manner. I always evaluate whether the service matches the price paid, and this accommodation excels in simplifying excessive services while enhancing rooms and meals—offering excellent value for money. Additionally, all staff members provided polite service with warm smiles that left a positive impression on me. Thank you for the high-quality sweets and Japanese-made luxury body towel as souvenirs! Since it’s just over an hour from my home via highway, I look forward to visiting again soon!

    Best value for money

    During my previous visit, the accommodation was in the process of adding new rooms, and I decided to return once they were open. After a year, my wish finally came true. Two new rooms were added, and I chose to stay in "Kikyo," the largest room. The room was so spacious that it felt too big for just two people, and the outdoor water feature was beautiful. Above all, being brand new made for a very comfortable stay. Dinner was served in what seemed to be a newly built private dining room where we enjoyed a delicious meal at our own pace—completely satisfying. In addition to a complimentary drink during dinner, the refrigerator stocked with various beverages was also free of charge. There were even late-night snacks and souvenirs provided! For this price range, I believe this accommodation offers exceptional value. I’m curious about the other room called "Fuji" as well and would love to visit again during another season.     I had a relaxing time.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. We visited with the sole purpose of soaking in the Onsen and relaxing, and we were truly able to unwind. The staff were very kind, the Room was clean, and the bath temperature was just right and comfortable. The meals were delicious and filling, and we also appreciated the late-night snack. Our entire family especially enjoyed the massage chair. However, one small disappointment was that after starting dinner at 6:30 PM, we returned to our Room at 8:10 PM. Since the large public bath closes at 9 PM, we had to rush to use it. It would have been nice if meals could be served a bit faster or if the bath hours could be extended by even an hour.

    Takinoyu in the snowy landscape is amazing!!

    Last year, my husband couldn't take a break for the entire year, and our hopes of visiting during New Year's were dashed with a cancellation. In hindsight, my husband came down with fatigue and a high fever from New Year's night. On February 23rd, we were finally able to visit, which made us very happy. It was just over an hour's drive from Osaka. The sudden change in scenery made it feel like we had traveled far away, and the exclusive parking for guests added a touch of luxury. The open-air bath in the room offered an unexpected treat with its snowy view! Dinner was served in a completely private room. Breakfast was divided into booths as part of thorough infection control measures. With minimal travel time, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience that healed both body and mind. If I must mention one disappointment, it would be that the staff serving dinner seemed very busy and I felt sorry for them. I understand it's due to the current labor shortage and peak hours being unavoidable these days. Thank you very much!! We will visit again!!
