    Cozy

    I stayed for 2 days and had a very pleasant experience as all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is within walking distance to Ise Jingu, allowing me to visit the Inner Shrine early in the morning. The baths, including a rock bath and a cypress bath, were excellent. For meals, I enjoyed Matsusaka beef shabu-shabu for dinner and soy milk hot pot in the morning—both were incredibly delicious. I would love to stay at this accommodation again when visiting Ise Jingu.

    I had a relaxing and comfortable stay.

    Relax in the Onsen with the pleasant scent of cypress, cool off with the breeze from the forest of Naiku... Lying down in the Room was incredibly comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, leaving us full and completely satisfied!

    Conveniently located for visiting Ise Shrine

    I visited for my first pilgrimage to Ise. It was a 15-minute walk from the Ryokan to Naiku, allowing me to visit during the early morning when it was less crowded. After returning to the Ryokan with an empty stomach, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast. I refreshed myself in the open-air bath and then headed to Okage Yokocho. The convenient location allowed for an efficient and enjoyable experience. The Ryokan was very clean, and both the facility and the open-air bath were excellent. It would have been nice if towels were provided in the bath area. Also, unfortunately, I couldn't use the private baths as they were always fully booked. Still, I managed to enjoy three baths during my stay! It was a wonderful trip overall—thank you very much!

    I have used this accommodation multiple times, but I feel the quality has been declining. Especially the food and staff quality are completely different from a few years ago. I no longer feel the charm of this accommodation.

    A Unique Experience at Accommodation Next to Jingu Naiku

    A serene accommodation surrounded by trees, featuring private open-air baths, located just a 15-minute walk through Okage Yokocho to the shrine. The warm welcome from the staff reflected the elegance of the accommodation and provided a pleasant start to our stay. Opting for both dinner and breakfast was an excellent choice, as every dish was delicious. The welcome drink and late-night ramen service were also highly satisfying. If I may be picky, I would prefer glass cups over paper ones for drinks. The location allowed us to wake up early at 5:30 AM and enjoy a leisurely visit to the Inner Shrine before breakfast. We even had mochi at Akafuku, which opens at 5 AM, before exploring every corner of the tranquil shrine with few people around. It’s an accommodation we would love to visit again!

    Perfect accommodation for visiting Ise Shrine.

    This is my third time staying at Kyoritsu Resort. The value for the price is truly amazing. (As a Diamond member, I can confidently say this!) It's just a short walk from Ise Jingu Naiku, making the location excellent. Although it's already very clean and beautiful, it seems they will temporarily close next year for renovations.

    The staff were all very kind. The guest room had a slightly firm bed, which caused some back discomfort. The bath, as well as the beverage and food services within the facility, were excellent. Being able to walk to Okage Yokocho and Naiku was very convenient; however, it was quite inconvenient that the only way out of the hotel premises was via a long and narrow staircase without a slope. Overall, it was a wonderful accommodation experience, and I would love to stay again.

    It exceeded expectations.

    I stayed for one night during my solo trip to visit Ise Shrine. The entire building was very clean and well-maintained, and the tatami-covered hallways were pleasant to walk on. The Room was relatively small, which made it a bit tight for me with my large suitcase, but I could use the outdoor bath's relaxation area outside the Room, so it wasn't an issue. The view of the forest leading to Naiku from not only the Room's private bath but also from the public bath and private baths was delightful and enjoyable. The bed was comfortable as well. All staff members were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk to Okage Yokocho, and I would love to stay here again if I visit Ise in the future.

    Clean Room and Facility.

    It was very good. The food was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, though the portions were a bit large. The room was clean and comfortable. The open-air Onsen helped relieve my fatigue. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

    Completely satisfied.

    The location is excellent, just a short walk to Naiku Shrine, with the famous Okage Yokocho along the way, making for an enjoyable stroll. The room's open-air bath is not Onsen but spacious enough, while the large public bath is Onsen and includes a sauna. I appreciated being able to choose my pillow. The meals were very delicious, and it was fun to select from several options. Dinner even came with complimentary beer. The staff were incredibly kind, creating a warm atmosphere where guests naturally smiled and showed courtesy in shared spaces like elevators. I would love to stay here again!

    It was excellent!

    It was truly wonderful! I plan to visit Ise every year, and this is a Ryokan I want to stay at annually. From the entrance with the koi fish, I was impressed, and during the smooth check-in process, they kindly brought my luggage to the Room. Thank you very much. The welcome drink, free ice cream, drinks, and late-night soba were more than enough for just one night’s stay. The bath options were excellent—there was a private bath in the Room, a large public bath, and even family baths available. It was very satisfying. The food was also amazing—elegant dishes that left me completely full. For those who enjoy alcohol, it would be perfect! The location is convenient as well; you can walk to Naiku Shrine from behind the Ryokan. There’s also a massage service within the facility which I used—it felt so good that I fell asleep in no time! This Ryokan is too good for just one night’s stay. I’m so glad I found this place! Looking forward to staying again!

    The reviews for this accommodation were quite divided, which made me a bit worried, but after staying here, I understood the reasons. First of all, it is a very good accommodation. The location is excellent for visiting Ise Jingu Shrine, and as we hoped, we were able to enjoy an early morning visit at 5 AM through the quiet Oharaimachi and pray in the refreshing morning atmosphere of the shrine. The accommodation thoughtfully provided light snacks for our early morning visit. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The staff members were mostly young and offered pleasant hospitality. However, there are some points that lowered my evaluation: Dinner time was either 5:30 PM or 8 PM; if 5:30 PM was fully booked, you had to settle for 8 PM. To secure a 5:30 PM dinner slot, we had to arrive at the accommodation an hour before check-in time and wait there. Also, the room was small. While water facilities like sinks and toilets were functionally arranged, the headboard of the bed served as a partition wall; sleeping on a low mattress with such a high headboard felt somewhat oppressive. I hope this review will serve as helpful feedback for this accommodation if I have another chance to stay here in the future!

    If you're staying in Ise

    This was my third stay. As always, the staff provided courteous service. Many of Kyoritsu Resort's accommodations have a two-part dinner system, which can be confusing as it depends on the check-in order. However, at Iku-san, being able to walk to Naiku and Okage Yokocho after checking in is its greatest charm. Additionally, from the same perspective, being able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast after an early morning visit is also delightful.

    A place you'll want to visit again and again

    For our long-awaited family trip, we chose Ise Jingu for the first time. From the warm smiles and kind words of the staff upon arrival, we felt it was going to be a wonderful stay—and it truly was. The meals were full of surprises, there were multiple types of baths to enjoy, and the souvenir shop had an excellent selection of items. It’s an accommodation we’d love to visit again soon. The only downside for our family seemed to be the layout of the room (toilet).

    I had a relaxing time.

    Our usual Ise trips are one night and two days, but this time we planned a two-night, three-day schedule. Choosing Iku, located near the Inner Shrine (Naiku), was absolutely the right decision! On the first day, we visited the Outer Shrine (Geku), offered Kagura rituals, checked into Iku to drop off our luggage, then visited the Inner Shrine and explored Oharaimachi. With dinner set for 8 PM, we had plenty of time to relax in both the private bath and large public bath. On the second day, we woke up before 4 AM to enjoy a private bath at leisure before heading out for an early morning visit to Naiku. Being a weekday and so early in the morning allowed us to take perfect photos of an empty Oharaimachi and Naiku. After breakfast and another Kagura offering ritual, we left our luggage behind again and took a bus to Toba where we boarded a ferry to Dolphin Island for some sightseeing. This efficient use of time was all thanks to staying at Iku so close to Naiku! The meals over these two days were exceptional! Breakfast on Day 1 was Japanese-style while Day 2 featured Western-style options; dinners were exquisite Japanese course meals. The hospitality overall was outstanding—especially their late-night ramen served from 10 PM–11 PM which was incredibly delicious! Although rain had been forecasted for both days, it only rained briefly in the mornings; surprisingly sunny weather during daytime left us unexpectedly sunburned! This fulfilling trip began with our wonderful stay at Iku during our pilgrimage around Ise Shrines. Thank you so much—I would love to stay here again!

    A Ryokan conveniently located near Naiku and Okage Yokocho.

    This was our first trip to Ise as a couple, and we stayed at Ikkyu Accommodation. The reviews were great, and it truly lived up to our expectations—everything was perfect. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. We chose a room with an open-air bath, where we could enjoy foot baths during short breaks and relax while listening to the birds chirping. For dinner, we indulged in sashimi, Matsusaka beef, Ise udon noodles, hand-rolled sushi, and more. There were also creative all-you-can-eat options that made the meal even more enjoyable. The local Ise craft beer was delicious—I’d love to have it again. The large communal bath wasn’t crowded at any time; we could take our time both in the morning and evening. Above all else, the location is fantastic! Visiting early in the morning when there are fewer people felt extraordinary—it’s a must if you stay here! The "katapan" bread was also delicious. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming. Even other guests staying there seemed lovely—it made for a very comfortable experience overall. Thank you so much! Next time, we’d love to bring our children along!

    I had a pleasant and relaxing time.

    The staff were very attentive based on the information we provided in advance, which was greatly appreciated. The Onsen is absolutely wonderful. However, as it is a traditional Ryokan, the bed and chair heights are quite low, making it difficult for those with limited mobility to sit down or stand up. The food and private dining atmosphere were excellent, but starting dinner at 8:00 PM is too late for older guests.

    The staff were very friendly. There are three private baths available, which can be used if vacant without a reservation system. However, there was no cleaning after the previous user, which raised concerns about hygiene. I thoroughly enjoyed the public bath.

    Extraordinary Stay

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days as a family of three. The staff provided exceptionally polite service, leaving a very positive impression. Additionally, the accommodation is conveniently located near Ise Jingu Shrine, making it easy to visit; we went for an early morning visit at 5 AM and enjoyed the serene atmosphere of the shrine with almost no one around. The room's open-air bath was fantastic, allowing us to relax while admiring the tranquil forest of Ise. It was an excellent accommodation overall; however, I rated it 4 stars due to the amenities' variety and quality being slightly lacking. Everything else was perfect.

    A Gift for Parents

    It was a trip gifted to my parents for their golden wedding anniversary. I was initially worried about choosing an accommodation we had never visited before, especially for such a special occasion, but they returned home extremely satisfied. The meals, the room, the bath, and the hospitality—everything made for a perfect trip. Thank you to all the staff who assisted us on this occasion.     April 2025 Accommodation - It was a wonderful experience.

    【Overall】 Very satisfied. The quality exceeded the price. 【Highlights】 - Dinner Every dish was memorable, with nothing ordinary. The "main dish," which can often be plain, was exceptional—whether it was chicken, pork, or beef. The Ise chicken was incredibly fresh and tender without becoming tough. The Ise pork, though slightly thick-cut, was soft and flavorful. The Matsusaka beef (shoulder loin) was tender and juicy yet fell apart easily; we even purchased the same cut the next day! For the broth options: "white soy sauce" had a light ginger-infused flavor that complemented the meat perfectly—it inspired us to recreate it at home! On the other hand, we found the "sukiyaki-style" broth too strong for such high-quality meat and barely touched it. The small dishes ("Kokorobakari") allowed us to choose two items freely with unlimited refills, while rice dishes could be selected from three types—making dinner an exciting experience throughout. - Bath Both men's and women's baths alternated daily; each had its own unique charm and were clean yet sophisticated. The alkaline hot spring left our skin smooth while keeping us warm for hours after just a short soak—it felt amazing! We bathed four times during our one-night stay without experiencing any dryness or discomfort from over-soaking. While there were three private baths available (we tried one), we preferred the main public bath. - Location A 15-minute walk to Ise Jingu's Inner Shrine via Isuzu River and Oharaimachi Street made this location ideal for exploring nearby attractions early in the morning: morning prayers → morning bath at accommodation → breakfast → checkout → visit Sarutahiko Shrine → shopping & dining in Oharaimachi/Okae Yokocho (including tea time at Akafuku). All of this could be enjoyed within half a day! - Price Considering rising prices across accommodations due to inbound tourism demand, some expense is expected these days. However, this ryokan offered average pricing while delivering above-average quality—a truly wonderful experience overall. 【Areas for Improvement】 - Breakfast The white rice was overly soft and clumped together into one mass. Similarly disappointing was the simmered beef shigureni—it had been overcooked until hard lumps formed as well. While visually appealing overall, these aspects detracted from an otherwise appetizing presentation. 【Conclusion】 I would choose this accommodation again for my next pilgrimage to Ise Jingu!

    Perfect for early morning visits.

    Stayed for one night on March 27 with my fifth-grade daughter. We chose this accommodation within walking distance of Ise Jingu for an early morning visit. There aren't many hotels within walking distance, and since Ise Jingu Kaikan was often fully booked, we were able to make a reservation here. Although it slightly exceeded our budget (ideally around 50,000 yen), thanks to a time sale, we stayed with two meals included for almost 60,000 yen. Compared to other Dormy accommodations, the price felt a bit high considering the overall quality; however, given the current economic climate, it seemed understandable. The minimum quality expected from Dormy was met satisfactorily. Regarding dinner pricing, upgrading the initial sashimi in terms of content and portion size could enhance satisfaction further. The room guide mentioned that late check-out is available at 3,000 yen per hour if there’s availability in the morning—this is very reasonable pricing and would be great for those who want to relax in their room after an early morning visit to Ise Jingu. In our case, we had breakfast after visiting Ise Jingu early in the morning and ended up leaving by 9:30 AM without using this option. One additional request would be regarding shuttle service routes—if possible under traffic regulations—it would be incredibly helpful if pick-up/drop-off could include areas near Naiku or Okage Yokocho. Since we traveled by train after check-out and wanted to visit Okage Yokocho carrying luggage down stairs from accommodation became inconvenient; having such stops on shuttle routes would have been beneficial. Another point worth mentioning: staff informed us about free luggage storage at a souvenir shop near Naiku when staying at "Ikyu." However upon visiting they clarified that purchasing souvenirs was required for storage—not entirely "free." While it's reasonable as part of tourism culture requiring purchases instead of fees—the accommodation should accurately describe this arrangement as “free with purchase” rather than simply “free.” Other than these points overall experience remained satisfactory—a polite and well-managed accommodation!

    Thank you for a relaxing time.

    I booked this accommodation for my first trip with my boyfriend. Living in the city, we wanted a relaxing and healing experience. We arrived by car, and from the moment we were greeted by the staff at the parking lot, I felt it was a wonderful accommodation. The room was impeccably clean and beautiful. We stayed on the third floor, and I loved the hinoki-like scent of the floor as soon as we stepped out of the elevator. There was also a private open-air bath, which my boyfriend, who usually avoids public baths, enjoyed so much that he ended up soaking for a long time. The dinner, late-night snack, and breakfast were all incredibly delicious. The seasonal ingredients used in each dish left us speechless with delight—we truly savored every bite. Most importantly, this trip brought us closer together as a couple. The time spent at your accommodation became an irreplaceable memory that I will never forget. Thank you for providing such a healing experience. Next time, we hope to return as husband and wife! Thank you very much!

    Thank you for your hospitality this year. We have been staying here every year after Setsubun, and this time we stayed as a group of three. In the Room, there were only tea packs and other amenities for two people, which was surprising. However, we heard that it was fully booked this time, so perhaps such things can happen occasionally. Other than that, everything was excellent. The staff are all very kind, the food is delicious! The location is also very convenient, so we look forward to visiting again next year.     Convenient for visiting Ise Jingu Shrine.

    I stayed at the Property with the purpose of visiting Naiku in the early morning. It was about a 15-minute walk, and there were few people, which was great. The open-air bath in the Room was narrow and difficult to use, so I didn't use it. The large public bath had lighting that was too dim, and unfortunately, the shower stopped providing hot water midway through. However, all of the staff provided excellent service and made me feel comfortable.
