    Breakfast is wonderful, but

    Breakfast was very high quality, and the adults were satisfied. We stayed with children as well, but it felt too adult-oriented and they didn’t seem to enjoy it. We stayed in a standard twin Room. The bedding was very comfortable, but there was a lot of dust in the Room and I had a runny nose and sneezing. The curtains and corners of the Room didn’t seem to be cleaned thoroughly enough. One small issue: there was no trash bin by the sink, which was inconvenient.

    A bit disappointing.

    The view from the Hotel, the Room, the staff, and the breakfast were all very good overall, but each had a few minor issues. With a little improvement to the system (staff training), it could be perfect. For example: 1. Drinks in the refrigerator were said to be free, but there was no notice. 2. Some appliances such as the hair dryer and coffee grinder are difficult for guests who are not used to them. 3. There was only a small amount of honey and similar items served at breakfast. In other words, none of these are fundamental problems—everything could be resolved by asking. That’s why it felt like a missed opportunity.

    If your expectations are too high, you might be a little disappointed.

    I stayed overnight in conjunction with attending a wedding. Since the ceremony started in the evening, I wanted to get into my Room as early as possible, but I was told check-in had to be exactly at 3:00 p.m., so I gave up on changing in the Room. I had imagined it as one of Fukuoka’s few Resort Hotels, but perhaps because of the wedding that day, it felt quite busy and noisy. If you’re looking to relax quietly, it might not be what you expect. It seems excellent for hosting weddings, including creating a nice atmosphere, but I couldn’t really picture staying here for a vacation. It left me with more of an impression of a wedding venue than an Accommodation for leisure.

    A Refined and Relaxing Cousins’ Getaway for Adults

    Arriving at this Hotel in a tranquil setting where only birdsong could be heard, we were delighted by the warm welcome of delicious tea and sweets. It was an uplifting start that convinced us this is a Hotel for adults. The views were beautiful, the bath was spotless, and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding—everyone was completely satisfied with our stay. Our relaxing time together became a moment of pure bliss for the three of us, and a wonderful memory we will never forget. To all the staff, thank you very much for your thoughtful care in every way.

    Grandmother’s Birthday Celebration

    I made a Reservation to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday. Since the Room was not a suite, it felt moderately spacious and not especially luxurious, but the view was great, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The welcome chocolates were also delicious, and she was very happy. Thank you as well for accommodating our request to add a birthday plate at dinner.

    I was surprised by the noise from crows at night.

    The staff’s kind and attentive service was excellent. The Hotel was very convenient, close to central Fukuoka City, especially if you have a car. The new building with the front desk was very clean and well maintained, but while we were very satisfied with the Room size in the main building where we stayed, there were some areas for improvement—perhaps due to its age—such as an unpleasant odor in the toilet. Also, this is not the Hotel’s fault, but it seemed there may be a crow’s nest nearby; we were woken up repeatedly at night by loud cawing. Breakfast was tasty, with salads as the main focus and thoughtfully prepared juices. However, it would have been better if the pork loin steak had been warmer, and it was disappointing that the amount of butter for bread seemed barely enough even for one person for our whole family. Overall it was a good stay, but I wanted to mention a few drawbacks as well.

    We had a wonderful and elegant time.

    I stayed in a single Room for personal reasons. I chose this Hotel because I wanted to relax in the bath, and the large public bath was very clean and comfortable. The Room was more spacious than I had imagined, thoroughly cleaned, and I enjoyed two nights of elegant time. The staff's service was excellent, giving a sense of first-class hospitality. I would recommend this Hotel to my friends as well.

    About Staff Service

    Upon arrival at the Hotel (around 6 PM), there were no staff available, and I was unable to unload my luggage. I had no choice but to go to the parking lot and carry my luggage myself. The service was comparable to that of a Business Hotel, offering value that did not match the price. Additionally, the Room only had a shower room with no bathtub, which should have been communicated in advance. This evaluation is based on an overall assessment.

    Sibling Trip

    Is there a way to enter the main building directly from the underground parking without getting wet in the rain? The staff's attitude does not seem very welcoming. The female staff uniforms could be reconsidered.

    More of a wedding-focused venue than a Resort Hotel.

    Stayed for 2 nights in spring. - Room The room was a renovated Japanese-style room, but only the bathroom area seemed updated, while the rest retained an old-fashioned feel. Considering the weekend price and location, it felt overpriced and not worth the cost. The bath looked nice but had minimal height difference between the washing area and bathtub, causing drainage issues that made water almost flow back into the tub. Depending on the room level, items in the fridge were complimentary; I was surprised to find Moët champagne included for free. The beer provided (Heartland) was also a pleasant touch. - Facility and View Photos on their website and IKYU.com show an outdoor terrace, but this is only available during summer. The garden (or outer perimeter) wasn’t well-promoted or accessible; construction work made it clear such areas don’t exist year-round despite being featured in photos—this feels misleading. Wedding areas dominate much of the facility; during events, guests are often sidelined as wedding attendees gather near entrances or reception areas, detracting from any sense of resort-like tranquility. Staff communication was inconsistent—requests needed repeating multiple times—and housekeeping or replenishment of amenities required reminders to be done properly. At breakfast over two days, our child’s seating arrangement was overlooked both times until we pointed it out repeatedly for staff to adjust tables accordingly. Despite its high-end pricing category, service quality felt closer to a business hotel with slight enhancements rather than luxury standards expected at this price point. Additionally, being situated on elevated ground makes transportation challenging—likely more so during summer heat. - Restaurant Surprisingly impressed by their Italian restaurant! Despite limited reviews online and choosing it out of convenience after a tiring arrival day at the Hotel itself—it exceeded expectations with attentive service alongside beautifully presented dishes from appetizers through dessert that delivered complex flavors comparable even to Ritz-Carlton restaurants in Tokyo. Overall: Proximity to nearby zoo added enjoyment for children making overall trip worthwhile though unlikely returning unless prices significantly drop

    Construction Noise

    During the stay, there was noise during the day due to renovations on the outdoor terrace of the upper floor. While it is understandable that regular renovations are necessary for accommodations, such noise should be disclosed at the reservation stage. Other accommodations often offer "special condition" rooms at reasonable prices when noise issues arise, but arriving to find out with no prior notice and being told "we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the noise" seems inadequate. Additionally, although we were informed it was a non-smoking room, there was an ashtray on the balcony of our room. While this may be a consideration for smokers as it is outdoors, smoking on balconies can cause odors to reach neighboring guest spaces. If you promote non-smoking policies, please enforce them thoroughly.

    I stayed in a suite ...

    I stayed in a suite room. The room was very clean, and I enjoyed the night view. I was also very satisfied with the bathroom, spaciousness of the room, and amenities. Additionally, it was great that all the champagne, beer, and juice in the refrigerator were complimentary. The breakfast was delicious, and next time I would like to try dinner as well.

    The breakfast was excellent.

    I stayed at the Hotel on the Mountain once in the past. I remember that breakfast was a buffet and it was very delicious. This time, breakfast at HILLTOP RESORT FUKUOKA came with many dishes on a large plate and it was very delicious. It was unfortunate that the bed in the Room was hard.

    I was able to spend a relaxing time with a wonderful view and a clean Room.

    We stayed again with our family because we liked it when we stayed last year. The shampoo and other amenities have been upgraded to Waphyto, which made it even better. The room was clean and spacious, allowing us to relax comfortably. The view from the hill was also wonderful, and the service from the staff was excellent. We would definitely like to stay again when we come to Fukuoka! Just one suggestion for the future: the pillows didn't suit us, so it would be nice if there were several types, such as memory foam pillows, available for borrowing.
