Although it is a bit far from Hakata Station and Tenjin, the free Shuttle Service to the subway and Nishitetsu train stations was convenient. The view from the Room is great, and it is quiet. The Onsen in the large public bath also felt smooth on the skin. Next time, I would definitely like to dine here.

Perched on a hill with panoramic city views, this Hotel has a true resort feel. The Shuttle Service, front desk, and overall staff were extremely kind. Instead of being taken straight to our Room right after check-in, we were welcomed with tea and chocolate (delicious), and the Onsen overlooking the garden was wonderfully relaxing. The shuttle bus from the station was punctual and the staff were friendly. The roughly 30-minute ride lets you enjoy views of the city along the way, which is an experience in itself.Considering it was JPY 40,000 for two people in summer with breakfast and dinner included, I don’t think it’s overpriced. That said, I was slightly disappointed with the terrace BBQ at night: it didn’t match the photos or my expectations, there seemed to be an “unequal” setup where about half of the seats were simple folding chairs (perhaps you can choose between sofa seating or standard seating when making a Reservation), and at our table there were issues such as no gas for the grill and difficulty getting it lit. Still, the staff responded attentively afterward, so in hindsight I even thought it might have been better that way—otherwise the heat could have been too strong and burned the meat. Overall, though, we enjoyed ourselves thanks to the refined clientele and pleasant atmosphere.Breakfast was completely different from a typical Hotel buffet menu. The ingredients were thoughtfully prepared; it was so delicious that we felt full from morning and almost “cleansed.” The Facility has been renovated, but parts of the guest rooms—such as some piping—still feel dated. If you’re looking for something brand-new or flawless throughout, you may notice this; however, if you don’t sweat small details and want to enjoy an open, relaxing atmosphere, I would recommend it.Next time I’m thinking of doing a Multiple Night Stay to enjoy spa treatments (esthetic services), meals, and the Onsen.
