    I was very satisfied!

    I was very satisfied to be able to stay at this Hotel at this price. I searched other sites as well, but IKYU seemed to be the cheapest. Since it is not an ultra-luxury Accommodation, those expecting a very high level of Facility, cuisine, and service may find it lacking; however, the staff were very kind and pleasant. The Room and meals were exceptionally good value for the price. In particular, the view from the open-air bath was outstanding, and I was able to relax at my leisure. At check-in, I was told that checkout time the next day would be between 9:00 and 10:00. I was surprised because I had not been informed in advance and there was no note about it on the website. As I had plans the next morning and wanted to leave immediately after finishing breakfast, I consulted with them and felt reassured as they seemed able to accommodate me. However, when I called the front desk the next morning, no one answered. When I received a message that breakfast preparations were complete and told them that I wanted to check out after breakfast (before 8:00), they said a front desk staff member could only come at 8:50, which frustrated me. A male staff member from the restaurant kindly took initiative—leaving his post to come to the front desk—handled my checkout procedures, and even escorted me to the parking lot. His flexible and excellent service truly impressed me. Thanks to him, I was able to depart comfortably and keep my schedule as planned. Thank you very much.

    It was very relaxing.

    Thank you for your hospitality. Since the ropeway was out of service, you kindly allowed us to check out at 11:00, and it ended up being very relaxing. The weather was great and the views were amazing. One concern is that the wall of the open-air bath had partially collapsed, and there were signs of insufficient maintenance in several areas. A staff member also mentioned that repairing the ropeway would be costly, so it may not be fixed. I think this is a good Hotel, so I hope you will continue to maintain it well going forward.

    We had a very relaxing stay!

    I stayed from 8/5 to 8/6. Check-in went smoothly thanks to the staff’s incredibly kind and attentive service, and then I headed to my Room. The Room felt just like home, and I could even see the ocean from the window. I also used the open-air bath attached to the guest room 4–5 times in just one night. Both dinner and breakfast were filled with delicious dishes that left me completely full, and everything tasted wonderful. The simmered golden eye snapper was especially amazing. Overall, my satisfaction was almost perfect, but I was a little concerned because the cart stopped at a different place on the way to my Room and also stopped partway there. Aside from that, it was an Accommodation I was truly happy with, and I had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

    A Wonderful Escape from the Everyday

    The Accommodation nestled in nature helped us forget the everyday, and the bath—where we could soak while looking out at the sea, the sunrise, the moon, and even a thunderstorm—was truly soothing. The meals were also delicious, and we looked forward to every one. Above all, every thoughtful gesture and kind word from everyone at the Accommodation made us feel genuinely cared for, allowing us to relax with complete peace of mind. We had a few minor issues during our stay, but I will never forget how reassured we felt by your words; even now, thinking back fills me with warmth. Thank you very much.

    A place to go and do nothing

    A stay for two (my wife and me) Ground floor of the 2nd building We came here to do nothing. We requested the Shuttle Service, and were picked up smoothly. We relaxed while checking in at the front desk. While enjoying some sweets and matcha, we received an explanation of the facilities, then headed to our Room. From the living area we had a panoramic view of the ocean—truly a quiet space. All we could hear was the sound of flowing Onsen water and the wind. The weather was lightly overcast, and with a slightly cool breeze, we ended up chatting on the terrace while watching the sea—and an hour passed in no time. With nature so close by, we expected to have to coexist with insects, but it wasn’t bothersome at all—to the point that we even found ourselves saying, “Only this few show up in a location like this?” The free-flowing Onsen was easy to adjust as well. My wife is usually so busy that she often just takes a quick shower, so I was genuinely happy she could take her time and relax. The meals were just right in both quantity and quality, and we enjoyed some drinks too. We were truly glad we chose this Accommodation—so much so that even on the train ride home, we promised each other, “Let’s come back again in another season,” still savoring the afterglow. Maybe we were simply lucky compared with others’ experiences, but for us as a couple it was truly luxurious: being given “nothing to do.” We’d happily give it full marks.

    Shower

    The Onsen is a bit lukewarm. The shower alternates between hot water and cold water. The meals were delicious.

    Getting around by go...

    Getting around by golf cart was exciting but a bit challenging for elderly guests. Soaking in the lukewarm bath while leisurely watching the fishing boats was very relaxing. The dining staff worked so hard with such a refreshing attitude, and we truly enjoyed our meal. We were completely full and very satisfied, especially with the simmered golden eye snapper.

    I stayed here for the first time in May and loved it, so I came back again. The Room and the open-air bath were wonderful.\nI was completely satisfied with all the meals. The grilled golden eye snapper with salt at dinner was exquisite—I want to eat it again.\nThis time I was lucky enough to see the sunrise. Riding around in the shuttle cart was also fun and made me feel like a kid again (laugh).\nI’d love to stay here again. The daifuku served at check-in was also outstanding.

    How does it look?

    We came looking forward to the monorail, but it was under inspection, so we couldn’t ride it either way. The staff seemed short-handed and overwhelmed, which was tough to see. The Room also didn’t feel properly cleaned, and the grass was overgrown and not maintained. Towels that used to be provided as two per person were reduced to one—perhaps because you’re busy with a newly opened sister property? As a repeat guest, I’m very disappointed. I hope you will take good care of this Accommodation and maintain it with attention and care.

    The view from the in-room open-air bath was truly breathtaking. It seemed to be the night of a full moon, and the moonlight reflecting on the water was wonderfully dreamlike. Soaking in the tub and gazing at it for a while, I almost lost track of time. The meals were creative and delicious, and the staff were cheerful, always smiling, and thoughtfully attentive throughout our stay—we had a truly wonderful time. A lovely Accommodation I would love to visit again.

    All the staff were truly friendly and made our stay very pleasant. One thing that could be improved is cleanliness: while the Facility may be old and that can’t be helped, it would have been better if everything felt clean down to every corner.

    Without water or any human assistance, is this really Japan?

    From early in the evening until checkout, the water supply was cut off, leaving us unable to use the Onsen (it requires cold water to adjust the temperature, but no cold water was available), flush the toilet, or take a shower. We were made to spend the night in these conditions, and no water was provided until morning, yet we were charged the full Accommodation fee. I never expected an experience like traveling in Southeast Asia here in Japan. I will never stay there again.

    It was my first visi...

    It was my first visit in a while. I was looking forward to enjoying the view from the monorail from the parking lot to the front desk, but it was out of order and we had to use the Shuttle Service by car. Has the glamping area been discontinued? Given the price, I would have liked to see more maintenance such as mowing to remove the run-down feel and improve cleaning. No matter when I visit, this Accommodation always has an amazing view from the bath.

    It was incredibly relaxing!

    I’ve stayed here many times. Each visit is relaxing and truly rejuvenating. I think this is the best Accommodation—soaking in the Onsen at a leisurely pace in your Room while enjoying the stunning view is simply wonderful. Relaxing on the terrace with a gentle breeze was incredibly pleasant. I’d love to come back again soon to unwind.

    In the heart of nature

    Because the property is built on a very steep slope surrounded by lush nature, it comes with both advantages and inconveniences. The view from the Room is wonderful, and even while soaking in the open-air bath, it feels amazing. However, when I opened the door and first stepped into the Room, what I noticed was a musty smell throughout. Also, since I visited in early July it wasn’t too bad at first, but I was surprised by how many insects appeared at night. If you don’t like bugs, please be cautious. When using the open-air bath at night, I left the light above the tub off and turned on a light farther away to attract insects there instead. By the next morning, about 10 stag beetles were lying on the balcony floor. Because the buildings are on a steep slope, getting from the parking lot to reception involves climbing up by Shuttle Service vehicle. The incline is so steep that it seems impossible without momentum, so they drive very fast. From reception to your Room you ride an electric cart; it’s such a steep grade that I was impressed it could handle it at all. I wondered what would happen on rainy days or if snow falls in winter. The meals were carefully prepared down to small details and were delicious. However, requests did not come across easily with some foreign staff members. I don’t think there’s any need to increase foreign staff unnecessarily. There are countless small points I could mention, but overall the level is above average. If you’re very particular about cleanliness or dislike insects, your rating may end up lower. If you enjoy camping or don’t sweat small stuff, I think you’ll be able to fully enjoy your stay.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    - The in-room bath was excellent. Since I stayed on a weekday, the quality—view, spaciousness, and more—was very good for the price. - The staff were also very attentive and helpful. - Getting around was mainly by cart, and meals were served in private rooms, so it was nice not having to run into other guests. - The meals felt like good value for the weekday rate, but if I were paying the same amount on a weekend, I think there are other Accommodations that offer better value.

    Overall, it was a great Accommodation!

    We stayed as a couple. All of the staff were very courteous, and we had a comfortable stay. We had seen some mixed Reviews about the meals, but we enjoyed them. We were satisfied with both the portions and the menu. We also came across Reviews about cleaning and insects, but given the Accommodation’s location surrounded by nature, we felt they are doing their best. However, I have asthma and felt a bit unwell—perhaps due to dust. We also encountered insects during our stay. Each time I called my husband to take care of them, and he told me, “Stop looking for bugs!” (laugh). When we heard someone downstairs scream “Eek!”, I couldn’t help thinking, “There it is!” If you dislike insects, it may be best to stay with that in mind. For what it’s worth, we saw an insect between the screen door and the window frame, so it may still be possible for them to get in with only a screen. I had hoped to open the windows and relax with just the screens closed—turn off the bath water as well—and enjoy quiet time listening only to nature sounds, but I gave up because I kept worrying about insects. That’s how close nature feels here. The bath was truly wonderful. The open-air bath while taking in the view was exceptional. Personally, I would have preferred it slightly cooler so I could soak longer, but even so I was very satisfied. This is an Accommodation I would recommend for anyone who wants to relax in nature.

    It has become my favorite accommodation.

    As an Onsen lover, I wondered how it would be without a large public bath, but the open-air bath attached to the Room was more than enough to satisfy me. I stayed when the weather was unstable, but I was impressed that I could enjoy perfectly tempered, free-flowing Onsen water at any time—rain or shine. The size and depth were excellent, and even three adults could soak comfortably. The meals were mid-tier in the plan options, but both breakfast and dinner were generous in portion, beautifully presented, and very delicious. It was disappointing that the cable car was out of order, but using the cart was a lot of fun. Since our Room was on the first floor, we did notice noise from upstairs. However, I also wouldn’t want to stay upstairs and be worried about bothering others with noise, so if we have another chance next time, I’d like to try one of the single-story detached special suites. The amenities were good as well. If there is one issue: we stayed with three people, but there were only beds for two; the futon provided in the Room was very thin and had been patched on the underside with duct tape. Since it was a family stay it was acceptable, but with friends it would feel like too much of a difference. A triple-bed Room would be nice—I think three single beds could fit. The sweets served at check-in were delicious, so I bought some to take home. I’d love to visit again. Many of the staff members were foreigners or younger people, but they worked hard. Thank you for taking care of us.

    I’d been curious abo...

    I’d been curious about this Accommodation for a long time. My day off finally matched their availability, so I visited. I got a little lost on the way, but arrived safely. From the parking lot to the front desk, a staff member came to pick me up. Climbing the very steep slope while shifting gears was fun. The cart ride to the Room was also enjoyable. The view from the Room was amazing, and both the terrace and open-air bath were wonderful. However, there was a black ring-like stain in the Room toilet—this was my first time experiencing that despite staying at many Accommodations. The shower booth drain also didn’t flow well, which was disappointing. Also, even though there was still food left on my plate, the dining staff said they would clear it away—I was surprised. Those three points were disappointing, but it’s an Accommodation that still makes me want to come back.

    Free-flowing natural hot spring (100% source-fed)

    The open-air bath with free-flowing hot spring water was excellent. The water temperature was slightly hot, which I liked. Since it is a standalone Room, I felt it would be very quiet and relaxing. The meals were also great. If you want to go for a walk, you need to take an electric cart to the front desk and then use the Shuttle Service to the parking lot. It would be nice if guests could drive up to the front desk.

    Snoring loudly

    This is the best Ryokan for us, and we would love to visit again. The only disappointment was that the cable car was not operating, but I suppose it couldn’t be helped. The Room and meals were excellent.

    The bath was nice, but.

    The Onsen was nice, with a spacious bath and soft water. However, the accommodation building looked like an apartment from the outside, and although the property had noted that footsteps and other noises may carry, I was surprised that even someone simply walking in the same room made the floor shake while I was sitting. It also seemed that the glamping area was not in operation; weeds were growing there, and it was disappointing to pass by it in a cart. The discount helped, but at the regular price it felt a bit hard to justify.

    The worst.

    I stayed for one night on 5/15. In a word, it was the worst. At dinner, I ordered a full bottle of sparkling wine, but it was served at room temperature. I took one sip and it tasted terrible. When I told the staff member who came to serve us that it was lukewarm, there was no apology. Another staff member then said they had a chilled half bottle available, which made me wonder if they were trying to make me order another bottle. I was told we could only wait for it to cool down in an ice bucket, but while we were waiting, dishes kept being brought out one after another without any consideration. I completely lost my appetite and ended up not being able to eat. The next morning at breakfast, there was still no apology—they explained breakfast as if nothing had happened. I was so upset that I couldn’t eat breakfast either. There was no apology at checkout either; we simply checked out as is. Of course, we still paid for the sparkling wine. I want my time back—I made time for this trip and it was ruined. I’m also shocked that an Accommodation like this is listed on IKYU.com. Needless to say, I will never go again.

    Once again, the familiar male and female staff welcomed us warmly. Their hospitality makes it feel like coming home—so comfortable and relaxing. Thank you very much. Dinner was delicious as well. The open-air bath and the views are wonderful, but your service is truly outstanding. However, this time I noticed a slight sliminess in the open-air bath, so please ensure the inside of the bath is cleaned thoroughly too. Other than that, as always, we were able to relax at our own pace and were completely satisfied. We will visit again to see your wonderful staff. This time we made our Reservation through IKYU.

    The Room was spaciou...

    The Room was spacious, and the view from the open-air bath was outstanding. The ocean stretched out before us, and the morning scenery was especially wonderful. Since it’s on a slope, we were taken to the dining area by a dedicated cart, which made everything very comfortable. The uphill path from the parking lot to the Accommodation was so steep it felt like an attraction (the staff will come to pick you up).

    12th-time returning guest

    I’ve been coming here since COVID became widespread. The unchanging dinner and the dust in the Room have been the same from the beginning. And yet, somehow I end up coming back—because of the quiet open-air bath and the outstanding breakfast (the same every time). While soaking in the open-air bath after waking up, I once even ran into a deer with a rustling sound. However, this time there were fallen trees due to a storm, so the trolley couldn’t be used, and I was told it wouldn’t be repaired—so I probably won’t return.

    We stayed here for my girlfriend’s birthday. The ocean view from the in-room open-air bath was incredibly refreshing. Getting around by cart felt special and was a lot of fun.
