    I stayed at the InterContinental Hotel Osaka with an IKYU.com special plan that included lounge access. Before COVID-19, I often stayed at The Ritz-Carlton with my daughter, using rooms with lounge access during trips for concerts at Festival Hall or sightseeing in Kyoto. While I was satisfied with The Ritz-Carlton, I had been aware of the InterContinental but never had the chance to stay there until now. After my daughter became independent, our last trip together was a stay at The Palace Hotel Tokyo, and since then, I've been traveling solo. This time, I arrived at the InterContinental via limousine bus from Itami Airport and got off in front of New Hankyu Hotel. Although I could see the high-rise building's logo from afar, I couldn't figure out how to get to the hotel and ended up calling for directions. A kind operator guided me over the phone as I arrived drenched in sweat. I was escorted to the lounge where check-in took place while enjoying a moment of relaxation. Since it was afternoon tea time, a three-tiered tray of food was served—a nostalgic experience after quite some time. Previously at hotels of this class, each item would be explained individually by staff; however, this time only a printed explanation sheet was provided. The food offered—such as savory items—was elaborate and deliciously prepared. After receiving my room key card without any further guidance or escorting service from staff members (to which one even jokingly asked if I'd find my way), it left me surprised. Being an international hotel chain likely explains their approach where guests are expected to navigate their rooms independently without much assistance—a stark contrast compared to recent stays within Japanese accommodations that emphasize personalized service. The room itself felt spacious featuring amenities like work desks paired alongside leather recliner chairs plus high-quality bedding atop green carpets beneath bedsides adding charm overall ambiance-wise! Having seating arrangements inside bathrooms proved helpful too though missing essentials such as facial lotions among toiletries meant bringing personal supplies came handy instead thankfully! Views overlooking gardens were obstructed partially due nearby skyscrapers blocking direct sightlines requiring angled perspectives catching glimpses nighttime scenery otherwise limited unfortunately despite automatic lighting activating closets upon entry impressively functional nonetheless! Later heading back towards lounges aiming unwind cocktail hours relaxing atmosphere initially greeted beverages alone absent explanations regarding available food sections tucked away corners beyond visible ranges seated areas prompting self-exploration discovering options eventually amidst inattentive distracted personnel preoccupied elsewhere tasks leaving impression mismatched expectations between premium-grade offerings versus guest-oriented attentiveness particularly concerning domestic clientele preferences ultimately disappointing experiences overall

    This was my first experience.

    Usually, in the morning, you might see staff lining up their cleaning carts in the hallway as they start cleaning vacant rooms. However, there was none of that here, which left a positive impression. Seeing those carts can make you feel rushed and navigating around them can be inconvenient. This thoughtful consideration for guests' feelings reflects an exceptional level of service.

    Many international guests visit us.

    I stayed for one night with my partner. The hotel is directly connected to Grand Front, and the location is so convenient that you could spend an entire day just exploring the area. Since it was during Golden Week, the front desk was crowded, but a staff member quickly assisted us when we seemed unsure where to go. The room felt a bit small considering the price. All rooms are located above the 20th floor, so while the view is beautiful, there’s an apartment building nearby which made me feel uneasy about privacy. As with many high-rise hotels, there were no windows for ventilation, making the air in the room feel stuffy and warm. The air conditioning on high mode only produced a light breeze, which was somewhat bothersome. The food was excellent! We chose a plan that included breakfast, and perhaps because of international guests visiting frequently, there were many unique dishes not typically seen at buffets—all of them delicious. The attached bar was also great. A lively African-American singer performed passionately; however, if you prefer a quiet place to drink leisurely, this might not be ideal. Overall, aside from concerns about room size and temperature control in the room, everything else—great location, delicious food options, and wonderful hospitality—makes this hotel worth staying at!

    Although we did not specify in advance, we made a Reservation for a special trip. Thank you for preparing an upgraded Room, it became a cherished memory.

    Premium City View

    This time, I stayed for four nights. The fitness center, pool, and hot bath facilities were clean and easy to use, and the staff were kind, making my stay satisfying once again. However, I felt that the breakfast fruits seemed to have decreased (perhaps due to the season?). Upon entering the room after check-in, there was a large rack left behind, which slightly reduced my rating. Overall, it is a wonderful hotel. Thank you.

    Every year, I stayed...

    Every year, I stayed at a hotel along Midosuji to see the year-end illuminations in Osaka City. This year, I chose this property to see the illuminations in the new area of Umekita. The lobby is on the 20th floor, but there was always staff on the first floor, so I could go to various places without getting lost. The breakfast was also delicious. In the room, I was concerned about the height of the bed and the bathtub. The bathtub is stylish, but I felt it might be difficult for the elderly to step over.

    Wonderful Hotel

    First, the lobby is spacious, open, and has a bright atmosphere. The staff were all polite, yet very warm and friendly, providing a pleasant hospitality. The dishes were all made with a clear dedication to the ingredients and were delicious. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. I would like to visit again.

    Luxurious time

    In the evening, we came to Umeda for shopping, and while complaining about work and home matters, we decided not to go home and instead spend some time doing nothing, so we made a Reservation at a Hotel with my husband. We deliberately stayed at a Property within a returnable distance, just eating, drinking, taking a bath, and relaxing. The staff provided courteous service, allowing us to enjoy our time without any inconvenience anywhere. It would be even better if the amenities were a bit more comprehensive.

    Comfortable stay

    The room was clean in every corner, and the staff was kind and elegant, making for a very lovely and comfortable stay. I thought about having a light meal in the evening and then going somewhere in Grand Front for dinner, but the food in the club lounge was delicious, and I ended up trying various drinks and getting completely drunk and falling asleep. The bedding was comfortable, but perhaps because I had a good workout in the gym, running, swimming, and doing strength training, and then took a big bath, I was able to sleep soundly and comfortably until morning. For breakfast, I went to the restaurant downstairs to enjoy the buffet, and then went to the lounge for a post-meal coffee. I was delighted when I ordered a café latte and they made it with a cute macchiato. Of course, the coffee was delicious. I went with the purpose of enjoying the hotel stay, and as expected, I was satisfied and fully enjoyed it. I will go again!

    It was a wonderful stay.

    When I arrived at 11 o'clock just to leave my luggage, I was informed that the room was ready and I could check in... Despite it being a holiday, the responsiveness was amazing. The staff at the lounge were also quick to understand our intentions. The Onsen was clean and pleasant, making me want to stay again.

    Stayed in a Premium City View for 3 days in September

    It is becoming a standard hotel in Osaka. The fitness, pool, and hot bath facilities are well-equipped, and the location at Grand Front is convenient. Although the rooms are a bit old, they are spacious and comfortable. Considering the facilities and services, the cost performance is good. The breakfast buffet is also satisfying (it would be even better if they could add berries to the fruits and make homemade yogurt). I deducted one point this time because the laundry service was supposed to come at 10 a.m. but was slightly (about 10 minutes) late. I will stay again.
