    Everything you could possibly need is provided.

    We stayed for one night, and our whole family was very satisfied. We used a barrier-free room, and both the caregiver and the person receiving care were able to spend time comfortably without stress, including in the toilet and bathroom. In the lounge, there were thoughtful touches such as a stroller, making it enjoyable for all generations—it truly felt like an Accommodation with exceptional attention to detail.

    An accommodation I definitely want to visit again

    We visited as three generations to celebrate my parents. The staff were wonderfully welcoming, and we were impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the Room and other areas, with amenities and towels provided everywhere. At dinner, you kindly treated us to a celebratory bottle of wine, and our whole family was able to make great memories. We stayed at another Hotel the night before, but everyone agreed that Sansui was better in every way—both the meals and the Room—for both nights. The view from the Room, the spa sauna and pool, the drink service in the lounge, and above all the staff were truly excellent. We will definitely return. Just one thing: we requested a massage, but unfortunately it was disappointing. Thank you again.

    The meals are flawless!

    The staff were always smiling, which made our stay very pleasant. The meals were excellent, and the rice in particular was outstanding—the way it was cooked was superb and incredibly delicious. However, the sliding door leading to the in-room bath was hard to move and also made a squeaking metallic noise, which was quite disappointing. It spoiled the atmosphere, which was a shame. This should be fixed as soon as possible.

    The meals and the views are wonderful.

    Our family of four stayed in the annex. We had an ocean-side Room, and the view from the Room was amazing. The in-room Onsen was also wonderful—we could relax while enjoying the scenery. The best recommendation for this Accommodation is the food. In particular, the spiny lobster sashimi and other sashimi were fresh and delicious. Everything from the appetizers to dessert was very satisfying. The large public bath at the Accommodation, as well as the building itself, felt fairly ordinary, but considering the cost of staying here, we were able to relax together as a family and were very satisfied. However, there were steps inside the annex Room we stayed in, which seemed dangerous for elderly guests. My parents in their 80s stumbled several times and almost fell. Lastly, all of the staff provided excellent service and were very pleasant.

    We had a very relaxing and satisfying holiday!

    I stayed one night in the annex. Even though the weather was bad, I was able to relax and enjoy a very satisfying holiday. The guest Room was spacious and never felt cramped at all. The amenities were from Marks&Web, and everything—from the lavender toner and serum to the geranium-and-chamomile shampoo—felt wonderful on the skin. It truly felt indulgent. I also spent a thoroughly relaxing time at the pool on the 4th floor of the annex. The cuisine let me fully enjoy Boso’s fresh local ingredients with refined seasoning. The simmered splendid alfonsino for dinner was huge—truly huge! You simply can’t get something that large in Tokyo. The shrimp soup at breakfast, egg over rice, and fresh vegetable dip with tomato miso were all delicious. As for the Onsen, I only used the semi-open-air bath attached to my Room, but it was always comfortable no matter how many times I soaked—the space let in natural light, and warm, fresh Onsen water continuously overflowed. Most of the staff seemed to be working here from Southeast Asia; perhaps because their working environment is good, they were always smiling—bright, refreshing, and a pleasure to interact with. That said, there were a few small points that stood out. [About the Room design] - When you open the guest Room door, you are immediately in front of the bedroom (bed). The door and bed felt too close together, which made me slightly uneasy from a security standpoint. - The step between the bedroom and living area: I nearly tripped several times. This was especially an issue when going to the washroom at night. There is lighting, but we keep it completely dark when sleeping. [About meals] - The “tama-fu” (wheat gluten) in the dinner soup seemed old; it tasted so bad it was hard to eat. - Compared with photos on your website, there were fewer varieties and smaller portions of sashimi than expected—it left me feeling like “Was this misleading?” Perhaps it was because we chose a Plan without spiny lobster? - Regarding dining ambience: both dinner and breakfast were served in a private room called “Nanohana,” but the long table didn’t match well with ceiling lighting. Dishes placed toward either end looked dim and less appetizing. For both meals we ended up moving items ourselves toward the center. Still, overall it was comfortable—and of course very clean—with attentive service down to small details. Combined with the charming atmosphere of this quiet port town, it was an extremely soothing one-night stay. Thank you very much!

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night from Friday to Saturday. The guidance from the parking lot to the Room was courteous and helpful. There were enough staff members, so check-in was quick. The draft beer and coffee service from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM was delicious and a great touch. All of the food was tasty, and the portions were just right. From the bath in the Room, I could enjoy the outdoor view, and it was wonderful to relax on the outdoor chair after bathing. The amenities were good as well; my only minor disappointment was the layout of the large public bath and that the elevator felt a bit small. Other than that, I was very satisfied. I would love to visit again.

    A great Accommodation where you can relax at your leisure

    All the staff were kind, and the Accommodation was not too large, making it easy for my elderly parents to get around. We were able to use the second-floor lounge many times, and it was great that the dining area was also close by. The Room was clean, bright, spacious, and very relaxing. All of the meals were delicious. When there are a lot of people in the bath, it can feel a bit small, but it wasn’t a problem. From our first phone call to the very end, the staff were gentle and I think that really enhanced how wonderful this Accommodation is. I would love to stay again.

    I felt warmly welcomed.

    We stayed here as a couple. The sea in the harbor stretched out right in front of us, and the quiet location was truly relaxing. Right after arriving, we enjoyed a beer in the lounge and were able to quench our thirst. Our Room was in a separate building, kept very clean, and spacious enough. Everything we needed was provided—amenities, a charger, an air purifier, coffee, mineral water, and more. It wasn’t overly luxurious; it felt comfortable and cozy, just like being at home. Our Room had a private bath, and we were able to unwind thanks to the pleasant Onsen water at just the right temperature. The meals were also excellent—fresh sashimi, wagyu sushi, simmered golden eye snapper (kinmedai), and more. In particular, the seasoning was not too strong but refined—and best of all, the portions weren’t excessive (these days meals can be so large that you end up leaving food or can’t fully enjoy it), so we happily finished every dish until the end. Breakfast was just as satisfying: delicious rice along with eggs and fish, miso soup, yogurt, and more. I’ve written about many things here, but above all else, the staff were wonderful—we truly felt their genuine hospitality. We would love to visit again.

    It was a cozy accommodation.

    Although our trip was met with rainy weather, we were very satisfied thanks to how comfortable the Room was. The semi-open-air bath in the Room was wonderful, but the public bath felt a bit small for the number of rooms. All of the staff were very kind and approachable. The meals were all delicious and very filling, starting with the local specialty simmered golden eye snapper. We had been looking forward to enjoying the sunset view from not only our Room but also the annex rooftop, so that part was a little disappointing, but next time I’d like to visit with my wife.

    Very good.

    Thank you very much for providing us with such a wonderful stay. The ocean view from the Room was amazing, and the rooftop deck was also fantastic. One thing we noticed was the smell in the hallway. It felt like there wasn’t much air circulation, and it seemed that odors from another Room’s bathroom were drifting into the corridor... We’d love to visit again in a different season.

    It was satisfying.

    Everything was excellent—the service, meals, bath, and Room. I was impressed by how delicious the rice with raw egg was. The simmered golden eye snapper, rice, and green laver soup were all delicious. It was a wonderful Accommodation full of hospitality. The ocean-view Room was comfortable.

    When we arrived at t...

    When we arrived at the Hotel entrance by car, the staff kindly guided us to the parking area and carried our luggage to the Room, which we truly appreciated. There was a chair in the shoe-removal area and handrails were installed, which was very helpful for guests who use a cane. The Room was divided into two separate spaces, and the floor chairs were high enough to make standing up easy—great support for anyone with mobility issues. There was also a balcony, so we could enjoy the location, and the in-room bath was excellent. In the lounge we could drink beer, and all of the meals were delicious. There is also a spa where you can enjoy the night view, and overall I felt satisfied that I chose a good Hotel. The large public bath was different from what I had imagined. One disappointing point: in the morning after coming out of the bath area, I walked past two female staff members who were talking, but they did not greet me. Since I was using a cane, it would have been hard not to notice me. I have visited around 150 Hotels and this was my second stay here. Some people may not mind, but I believe each Hotel stay is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, so it felt disappointing. Combined with how satisfied I had been until then—and with that day’s rain—it ended up becoming an unpleasant memory for me.

    It was very, very good.

    The building looks old from the outside. But the inside has been nicely renovated, the Facility is thoughtfully arranged, and the service is hardworking, efficient, and pleasant. The bath was clean, and while the meals were a bit too much for me, they were delicious (maybe it’s okay to leave some). Recommended. If I go to Kamogawa again, there’s a good chance I’ll stay here again.

    Used for our wedding anniversary.

    Although I had shared some requests in advance, they were not mentioned at all. I was a little disappointed, as other Accommodations often respond with something like “We can accommodate your request.” <Main positives>: The staff member who guided us to the parking area and to our Room upon arrival was pleasant. The Room was spacious, quiet, and the view was decent. The bath in the Room was temperature-controlled, so we could use it right away. Draft beer in the lounge could be taken back to the Room, and we enjoyed it on the terrace. The Room had samue loungewear and a bathrobe, and yukata were also provided. My wife especially enjoyed the simmered golden eye snapper. <A few disappointments>: There was no safety box in the large public bath, so I felt uneasy about managing the Room key. Our private dining room had no windows and felt closed-in; it might be better to rotate rooms between dinner and breakfast or use different locations. At dinner, three kinds of sashimi were served, but each person received only one slice of each—insufficient for those looking forward to sashimi. Also, there was no explanation from staff about what types of fish they were. The pork soy-milk hot pot lacked a soy-milk flavor; later on it became simply boiled pork with almost no taste. The rice was quite firm; in particular, the egg-over-rice at breakfast was very difficult to eat. The miso soup with spiny lobster at breakfast had no spiny lobster aroma at all. This may be specific to our Room type, but I would have liked better privacy screening. Lowering the blinds turns what should be a semi-open-air bath into an ordinary indoor bath. This wasn’t an issue since we knew beforehand, but it feels more like a view bath than a semi-open-air bath. A 10:30 checkout time feels awkward. I ended up being somewhat critical because I couldn’t help comparing it with other Accommodations, but thank you for taking care of us.

    It was very disappointing.

    When we stepped out onto the deck to enjoy the ocean view, something unbelievable happened: we could smell cigarette smoke. After checking, we found that someone was smoking on a lower floor, and the smoke was rising up to our deck. The brochure in the Room did state that smoking on the deck is permitted, but I never expected to be troubled by cigarette smoke at a Ryokan these days. Under Japan’s Health Promotion Act, businesses and public institutions are generally non-smoking on their premises. Also, as soon as we entered the lounge, it smelled strongly of cigarettes and we couldn’t use it. We made a Reservation at Sansui because we were captivated by the view from the annex deck. However, during our stay we couldn’t go out onto the deck at all, and even when we opened the bathroom window, cigarette smoke came in—it was awful. It was deeply disappointing and felt like a betrayal. Sansui’s smoking measures as a Ryokan are extremely inadequate. You should clearly state your smoking policy on your website. If this had been stated in advance, we would not have chosen Sansui. We were satisfied with the meals. We had been looking forward to an extraordinary getaway, but we couldn’t enjoy our time and are disappointed. Please understand that some guests cannot tolerate cigarette odor or smoke.

    I booked this stay through IKYU with confidence, and it did not disappoint. The Room with an open-air bath was wonderful. The Room was so clean that I could tell the housekeeping was very thorough. The meals were also delicious. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, so I could relax and was very satisfied.

    It was disappointing.

    It felt like an upgraded Business Hotel rather than a true Ryokan. The price range did not match the actual Facility, meals, or the quality of service we received. It was the most disappointing Accommodation among the Ryokan I have stayed at so far.

    Thank you for your help. Before my stay, I was concerned because a Review from November 2024 said the Wi-Fi could not connect to a PC. However, I used my PC for work and had no issues completing my tasks. The Wi-Fi environment has been improved. All staff were kind and helpful.

    The meals were excellent.

    The size and amenities of the Room were excellent. The private bath in the Room was great as it was available anytime. I just wish the public bath had been a bit larger... Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely satisfying.

    The Room was clean a...

    The Room was clean and well-maintained. It would be nice to have a hairbrush included in the amenities for men. The public bath was also clean and very pleasant. Since there are only two sinks, having chairs for waiting might make it more comfortable. Regarding the meals, they were very considerate when informed about ingredients to avoid. Thank you so much for that! Everything was delicious, and I enjoyed discovering local ingredients like eggs and rice brands I hadn't known before. I even bought some at the roadside station on my way home (laughs). Although the hallways and elevators are a bit narrow, the Room and lounge were spacious enough to relax comfortably, quiet, and perfect for unwinding.

    Being in Katsuura, rich in seafood, I had high expectations but was slightly disappointed with the traditional dinner. The room on the top floor with an ocean view was nice, but on the opposite side of the Room, there was a clear view of what seemed like employee dormitory beds, which ruined the atmosphere.

    I went to enjoy the seafood of Boso.

    It was a nice and spacious room in an annex, not the main building. We arrived in the evening and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset from the room. The accommodation is conveniently located across from Tanjoji Temple, making it ideal for exploring the temple. Since my wife does not eat beef, we chose an accommodation that serves seafood. We enjoyed plenty of fresh seafood caught near Kominato.

    I had a relaxing and enjoyable time.

    It was an accommodation that makes you want to visit again. We stayed in the "Annex" Twin Room with a Semi-Open-Air Bath & Terrace for sightseeing purposes near the prefecture. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a stunning ocean view. The sofa in the room had a spacious seat, and on the terrace side separated by glass doors, there were comfortable chairs where we could relax pleasantly. The semi-open-air bath featured two glass windows connecting to the outside—one facing the ocean and the other towards the terrace. The blinds could be adjusted from top to bottom for privacy or openness as desired. Although it was a two-person room with plenty of bath towels provided, we felt that one foot mat wasn’t enough since we used the bath multiple times. The room came equipped with yukata, samue (traditional Japanese loungewear), hanten (a short winter coat), sauna wear, and even thick bathrobes. At the lounge in the main building, guests could enjoy coffee or craft beer as a welcome drink—not only at that spot but also brought back to their rooms—which allowed us to relax fully. Both dinner and breakfast were served in private rooms within the main building. The meals featured beautiful presentation and slightly mild seasoning that highlighted each ingredient's quality—from sashimi to meat dishes—all of which were truly delicious. Among all accommodations we've visited so far, this one became our favorite. In the morning, we enjoyed strolling around Tanjōji Temple across from our accommodation before heading back inside for more relaxation time than expected! As a result, we ran out of time just before check-out and couldn’t fill out their in-room survey—but we're glad to share our review here instead!

    A satisfying accommodation with great meals and a relaxing onsen.

    Warm and attentive service made me want to visit again. I enjoyed a relaxing time in the lounge space, sipping beer while watching the beautiful sunset. The meals, made with fresh local ingredients, were all incredibly delicious. The Onsen had clean facilities and provided a very soothing experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, allowing me to relax fully. I wished I could have stayed for another night.

    It was an amazing Hotel. When I couldn't find the parking lot and was troubled, a staff member came to meet me and guided me to the correct parking lot, which was truly impressive. All the food was delicious, and I was genuinely moved. Highly recommended!

    The sunset view from the observation pool was stunning.

    A first drink is advertised as complimentary during dinner, but I ordered a cold green tea that I didn't particularly want, only to find out later that it was actually charged. It left me feeling slightly disappointed.

    The reason for the good reviews is clear.

    The meals were delicious, and the room offered an amazing view of the beautiful scenery. Upon arrival, the staff guided us to the parking lot and helped carry our luggage. Although our room was on the first floor, it was elevated enough to feel like a second floor, offering a fantastic view! The semi-open-air private bath in the room was very relaxing. The rooftop sauna and infinity pool were also excellent. Overall, it was a calm and peaceful stay with attentive staff, private dining with incredibly delicious meals—simply perfect. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again!

    Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my wife's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor baths. The meals were delicious, though we regretfully left some due to the large portions. Next time, we look forward to enjoying the sightseeing cruise and other attractions, and we will visit again.
