    We stayed with our f...

    We stayed with our family during the Obon holidays. The meals featured presentations we had never experienced at any other Hotel, and the portions were just right—everything was absolutely delicious. Being able to watch the sunset from the lounge during dinner also became a wonderful memory. The lounge was very comfortable, not only for the view but also for its lovely interior that felt almost like a private space. However, family members who don’t drink alcohol wished there were a wider variety of cake-style sweets to go with coffee. Also, the duvet was too thick, so it would have been nice to have a summer option. We would definitely love to visit again.

    A truly wonderful Ryokan

    Both the presentation and the taste of the meals were wonderful, and we were truly satisfied. The forecast said it would be cloudy, so we had given up on seeing the sunset, but we were able to see a very beautiful one—it felt cleansing for the soul. All of the staff were very kind as well. Thank you for allowing us to spend such a quiet, relaxing time.

    It was a lovely Room.

    The Room was wonderful, with great furnishings, layout, and views. The speaker was stylish and added to the enjoyment. The bath also has a window that opens a little, which made it feel airy, and I’m glad we stayed. As for the meals, because we made our Reservation on short notice, we couldn’t use Fuuka’s dining venue and instead had the buffet at the main building of Kashoen next door. For 9,800 yen, it didn’t feel worth it. I could tell the staff were working very hard, but the food itself was disappointing—especially the rock oysters that were said to be the seasonal highlight. There were no raw oysters; only steamed and grilled ones at the buffet, but both were rubbery and lacked flavor. Even if we wanted to return, there aren’t many places nearby to have dinner around the Hotel, so it would be difficult unless Fuuka’s dining venue is available.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    As part of the Kashoen Group, we felt reassured and comfortable staying here. The meals offered a wide variety of dishes—everything we liked—and were so delicious that we ended up eating too much. We were able to relax without crowds both in the lounge with its beautiful views and in the large public bath. The only disappointment was that the bath in our Room was smaller than expected. Thank you very much to the staff member who assisted us for your kindness. Thanks to your helpful advice, we were able to enjoy beautiful flowers such as mitsuba azaleas in full bloom. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    Beautiful sunset

    I’ve visited several times and always leave satisfied. Thank you for kindly accommodating ingredients I can’t eat. Choosing the final dish is always a bit tricky because we have to order the same one for both of us, so we went with the pasta you recommended before. It was just as delicious as I remembered—though it’s a problem that it only makes me want more. Also, the sunset was especially beautiful this time. We gratefully used the voucher you gave us last time—because we hadn’t been lucky with the sunset then—to buy souvenirs on this visit. We look forward to staying with you again.

    Thank you very much.

    We stayed here again this year to celebrate a family birthday. We had also hoped to celebrate one person’s new job, but we only found out on the day of the trip, so we didn’t contact the Accommodation. During our conversation at dinner, a staff member kindly noticed and prepared a celebration for us. We were truly grateful—it was such a wonderful surprise and very moving. Thank you very much.

    This was our second ...

    This was our second stay, as we stayed once in summer and were very satisfied. It was excellent again. Every creative dish was a hit, and we left completely full. There is a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, and even if you don’t drink alcohol, there is also a great selection of soft drinks. All the staff were wonderful, and we were very satisfied.

    It was the best family trip.

    We stayed here to celebrate two of our daughters—one for her birthday, and the other for passing her exam and starting her first job next month. We loved it so much that this was our second stay at Fuuka, after visiting in November with my daughter and mother. This time, three generations came together—our daughters, my husband and I, and my parents—and we ended up talking late into the night. Even so, the staff kindly took care of us, and their attentiveness was outstanding. The food was excellent as well, and we’re already saying we’d love to celebrate here again when something good happens. Thank you very much.

    It was the best wedding anniversary.

    We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our Room was a concept Room on the 7th floor. Since it came with a private Onsen, we could enjoy it anytime, 24 hours a day, and truly relax. The cleaning was thorough down to every corner, and the Room was spotless and beautifully maintained. The lounge has great views and is a quiet place to unwind. With no children around, this Accommodation is highly recommended for anyone looking for an adults-only style getaway. For dinner, it was just at the end of crab season, so we chose the live Matsuba crab course. It included 1.5 crabs per person, and we were more than full. I think it’s a wonderful idea that you can choose somen noodles instead of only rice porridge at the end when you’re already stuffed. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Since we mentioned our anniversary in advance, they prepared an adorable dessert plate for us. The staff were cheerful and fun, making it an unforgettable anniversary—thank you! Breakfast was excellent as well. We loved it so much that we’d like to visit again next year.

    The crab was absolutely delicious!

    We came last year to enjoy crab and had such a great stay that we returned again this year. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, so we never got tired of them, and everything was delicious. The all-inclusive plan is wonderful, especially being able to enjoy unlimited drinks during meals. It was also nice that the Room for dining was a private room, which made it relaxing. All the staff were kind and friendly. Both the bath in our Room and the large public bath were comfortably warm, and the Onsen water was excellent, so we could soak at ease. Perhaps it was just a busy time, but the changing area of the large public bath felt small and a bit difficult to change in. The bath itself was spacious and very nice. The samue provided in the Room is one unisex size; since I am short, I had to tie up the hem with a cord to keep it from dragging, which was a little inconvenient.

    A Winter Tradition: A Crab Getaway

    Our annual crab trip took us to Yuhigaura Onsen in Kyotango this year. We decided based on everyone’s Reviews, and it was a great choice again! We enjoyed delicious crab along with the chef’s wonderful talk. We achieved our goal of enjoying great crab and the Onsen, but unfortunately the weather was bad and we couldn’t see the sunset. We’ll have to come back for a retry.

    Still delicious!

    We stayed here two years ago and came back because we missed the crab! The meals have been renewed and were excellent. All the staff were courteous, and we had a very satisfying stay. If there’s one thing, it would be great if bottled beer were available... We’ll be back—thank you for everything!

    I’m speechless.

    As the title says, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had—so bad I was left speechless. With accommodation costs over 50,000 yen and transportation costs of 10,000 yen, it wasn’t worth it at all. It was a good lesson: don’t be fooled by Reviews. The only good thing was Yuhigaura Beach. Additional note: I’ve been traveling solo for about 20 years and have experienced many things across the whole country—service, meals, Onsen, and more. This is the first time I’ve ever written a Review. That’s how unacceptable this stay was.

    Very satisfied.

    The Room and Onsen were clean and very satisfying. The food was too much to finish. The amount of crab was overwhelming, but the crab vinegar was insufficient, and the taste lacked sourness, which made it less enjoyable—this was the only disappointment. Being all-inclusive was great, and the local sake was delicious and much appreciated. At departure, a lady saw us off until our car disappeared from sight, which left a deep impression on us.

    Thank you very much.

    I visit every year, but this year the service in the lounge and during meals was truly exceptional. I am especially grateful for the thoughtful care provided to my father, who requires assistance due to illness. The menu seemed slightly different, but everything was absolutely delicious. If I may suggest one thing: it would be helpful if guidance from the main building extended all the way to the lounge floor. While I appreciated help with my luggage, handing it back at the elevator made me wonder if carrying it myself from the start might have been easier. I look forward to visiting again next year!

    Everyone is raving about it...

    I decided to travel with my mother to enjoy crab and chose this accommodation based on good reviews. However, the price seemed to reflect only the "crab." Having stayed in various accommodations with open-air baths in Japan, I found the room's entrance door resembled that of a business hotel, lacking any sense of luxury. Additionally, there were no snacks provided in the room, possibly due to the lounge area upon arrival. This was quite disappointing as snacks are often provided to prevent dizziness after soaking in an onsen. The amount of "crab" served was overwhelming; however, many guests left before reaching the final servings because too much food was presented at once at the beginning. Although it is advertised as all-inclusive, getting drinks from a distant location during meals felt inconvenient and seemed dependent on which room you booked. We didn’t choose a cheaper room intentionally—it was simply all that was available—but if we had known about these details beforehand, we might have chosen another accommodation instead. My elderly mother found it difficult to walk long distances for drinks or restrooms and felt disappointed by this setup. Perhaps staff could assist older guests seated further away from dining areas? As for the bathwater in our private room’s bath—it made me question whether it truly came from an onsen since it felt different compared to that of the public bathhouse. For those who prefer luxurious accommodations and want quality crab dishes, I would recommend looking into options like Kinosaki instead as I cannot confidently recommend this place.

    A Journey to Savor Matsuba Crab

    We planned this trip for crab. The room was convenient, and the private bath with a view in the room was always at a perfect temperature. The dining area was partitioned, allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crab sashimi. My son, who enjoys drinking, seemed satisfied with the all-inclusive plan. The simple checkout process was also appreciated. What surprised us was that we thought Kasyouen had a separate entrance; however, there were stairs on the connecting passage to Fuuka. Additionally, when we tried to leave our luggage early and go for a walk before check-in, it didn’t match well with the shuttle service schedule, so arranging a taxi from Amino took some time. Also, as I recall from my reservation in August, there wasn’t an 11:00 AM checkout option available for the crab plan at that time. An 11:00 AM checkout would allow for a more relaxed morning and would be greatly appreciated.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    Unfortunately, it was raining on the day, so we couldn't enjoy the sunset from the lounge, but we had a great time with stylish cocktails. The meals were delicious and made with local ingredients. Going to the 8th floor was a bit inconvenient, so having drip coffee packs in the Room would have been appreciated. We look forward to visiting during crab season next time. Thank you!

    Anniversary Getaway for Two with Stunning Sunset Views

    A relaxing trip for two elderly guests. The most important aspects: a stress-free stay, a room with an onsen and panoramic view, especially from the 8th floor "Ao" with its stunning scenery. The all-inclusive drinks are a nice touch. The onsen is spacious and perfect for unwinding, and the quiet environment adds to the charm. Meals are served carefully one by one at your table, with excellent flavors. The staff provides attentive service and is easy to talk to, creating a warm atmosphere. This review says it all—definitely worth considering another visit if there's an opportunity! The only regret was the weather; clouds during sunset obscured the clear evening view we had hoped for!

    Satisfied with the Ryokan itself.

    The check-in process and the room itself were very satisfying, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing time. For dinner, we had reserved the latest time slot at 6:30 PM for a multi-course meal with many dishes. There was a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, and despite it being free-flowing drinks, staff kindly poured drinks for us and recommended options. However, there were long waits between courses, and it took over two and a half hours for the final dish to be served. Additionally, although the dining venue was supposed to close at 9 PM, dessert was served around 9:10 PM. We were told "It's closing time" less than five minutes after starting our dessert in haste. This was our first experience of being informed about closing time during a course meal. Both my husband and I stopped eating in surprise and left the venue. Since we had made this reservation looking forward to dinner, we felt disappointed that we couldn't fully enjoy it until the end. The private bath in our room was very pleasant; however, I noticed dirt on the window frames as well as on the shampoo stand which bothered me slightly. This was my first reservation inspired by SNS recommendations; however, I realized it's important not just to focus on positive reviews but also carefully evaluate all aspects before booking. Service quality seemed highly dependent on individual staff members' attentiveness as well—leaving varying impressions throughout our stay. Considering that prices are quite reasonable here perhaps expectations shouldn’t be set too high—but since both meals tasted great alongside enjoying peaceful moments overall—the cleanliness issue within bathroom areas combined w/ certain dining-related interactions stood out disappointingly amidst otherwise enjoyable experiences!

    Ryokan Hours

    The "Hanare" was indeed very peaceful. Away from the daily hustle and bustle, time seemed to flow differently. For once, I felt like simply relaxing at the Ryokan without going anywhere. Next time, I would like to check in early and enjoy a leisurely check-out, fully savoring the Ryokan's atmosphere. Thank you for your hospitality.

    A single disappointment affected the entire evaluation.

    Before the trip, I was excited after seeing videos showcasing this wonderful Hotel. Indeed, the staff's service was excellent, and the guest room, lounge, meals, and bath were all great. However, during mealtime, despite paying a considerable accommodation fee, I felt like I was treated as if I had paid the lowest rate based on my seating arrangement. How much more would I have needed to pay to get a seat closer to the buffet? It made me feel very miserable while dining.

    We enjoyed a wonderful summer at this lovely accommodation.

    The ocean view from the room and lounge was spectacular. The private bath in the room was comfortable, and the two large Onsen facilities were uniquely designed, making them enjoyable as well. Dinner was thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients and tasted excellent. There was a wide variety of alcoholic beverages available for self-service, which led to indulging a bit too much, but it was fun. The young staff members were very kind and attentive, taking great care of us throughout our stay. Thanks to them, we had a pleasant and comfortable experience. Thank you very much! If I had to point out one downside, it would be that the Onsen had a slightly strong chlorine smell despite its wonderful setting. Other than that, everything was perfect!

    It met our expectations.

    I revisited with my mother after having a great experience with my wife several times. While we could stay on the upper floors when it was just two of us, it was a bit disappointing that only lower floors were available for three people. I mentioned various allergies and disliked ingredients in the remarks section, and during the Check Reservation process, not only were these details carefully confirmed, but I was pleasantly surprised by their thoughtful questions considering food preferences based on our dislikes. From arrival to check-in, there seemed to be a slight awkwardness compared to before. I also don't recall receiving an explanation about whether towels were provided in the large public bath. On the other hand, the service from one of the staff (unfortunately I forgot their name) was exceptional as always. Their attention to sunset viewing and their passion conveyed through explanations about dishes left a very positive impression. The sea urchin pasta served at dinner on our first night lived up to its recommendation and might become a staple for us if available next time. That said, this time we stayed for Multiple Night Stay for the first time, and dinner on the second night exceeded expectations so much that I wished it could be offered even during single-night stays! Since it's difficult to plan Multiple Night Stays often, it's quite tempting. The Onsen is as wonderful as ever; however, there is some disparity between facilities in two large public baths which makes timing visits around rotations slightly frustrating. Although we initially planned for swimming at the beach this time around, we ended up spending our time enjoying Onsen baths along with relaxing at lounges and browsing souvenir shops instead of going to the sea—resulting in an unexpectedly delightful healing retreat. Thank you again for your hospitality! We look forward to staying again soon!

    The view from the lounge is spectacular.

    Located about a 7-minute walk from the beach, it's perfect for a leisurely stroll to the sea. The view of the ocean is visible from the Room on the third floor, but the lounge offers an even more stunning view of the coastline stretching far into the distance, with breathtaking sunsets. With fewer guest rooms, it was never crowded in either the lounge or large communal baths, allowing for a relaxing stay. There are two large communal baths each in both the main building and annex that alternate daily, offering four different bathing experiences. Dinner was exceptional and served at just the right timing. Drinks, including alcohol, were all-inclusive both in the lounge and during dinner. During this visit in summer vacation season, it was lively with beachgoers. I look forward to visiting again during another season!

    The Azure and Slate-colored Sea

    It has been a year since my last visit due to scheduling conflicts. I arrived a bit early, so there was some time before check-in, but the waiting time at "Aoi" made me want to arrive early on purpose. With driving done for the day, I relaxed on the sofa with a draft beer in hand. The weather forecast indicated no chance of a sunset. Perhaps because I enjoyed breathtaking sunsets during my previous visits, but even so, the view of the gray sea and sky from "Aoi" was exceptional and endlessly captivating. The room and meals were impeccable as always. Thank you for accommodating my allergies and food preferences every time. This time, dishes were adorned with cherry blossoms; I particularly enjoyed the sakura-themed soup and sashimi of cherry sea bream. The simmered dish was delicious too, though it was slightly disappointing that I couldn’t fully enjoy its broth due to my clumsiness in handling the bowl. For breakfast, freshly cooked rice is served directly in its pot according to each table's reserved time slot. The glossy and chewy texture—even down to the crispy bits—was delightful but too much for me to finish entirely. With so many side dishes provided as well, it made me wish I could take some home as rice balls or a bento box. Being all-inclusive meant no hassle at checkout either; after breakfast, I soaked in my room’s bath until just before departure. While summer might be great for swimming at this seaside location, staying within this accommodation is so appealing that one might not want to leave at all. I look forward to visiting again!

    Everything was perfect!

    From arrival to departure, the service provided by the staff was exceptional and unmatched by other accommodations. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared, offering not only delicious flavors but also an enjoyable experience. The room had its own onsen, allowing us to indulge in a blissful time at any moment. (While many facilities offer private open-air baths, accommodations with actual onsen water are surprisingly rare.) I would love to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff!

With only three rooms per floor, a total of 18 rooms, and no children allowed, this Ryokan offers a quiet atmosphere—perfect for relaxation. The entire facility is designed with an adult-oriented concept in mind, providing a serene environment. Considering the price range, it offers great value compared to other Onsens in similar price brackets in different regions.
