    Ideal for families with infants and toddlers

    Thank you to all the staff for your warm and attentive hospitality. The food was delicious, luxurious, and almost too much for elderly guests. It would be nice to have more drink options available. Breakfast had several items that were a bit too salty. The air conditioning in the Room cooled unevenly depending on where you sat, so having a circulator would have been appreciated. I hope to visit again if I have the chance.

    We stayed as a family of four. The service was excellent, and the meals were very delicious. What we especially appreciated was that table dining made it easier for my pregnant wife to eat comfortably, and having in-room dining for both breakfast and dinner was convenient with small children. Overall, we were very satisfied, but one point to note is that there were several visible ant traps placed in the Room. Since small children might grab them, it would be better to reconsider their placement.

    First Trip with My Daughter

    We stayed at this accommodation as it is baby-friendly. This was our second stay with the Kisara Group, following our visit to the annex. The annex was excellent, but this place was equally satisfying! The meals were delicious, and the accommodation was very clean. What stood out most was how the staff remembered our daughter's name and greeted her warmly. For families with small children, we recommend staying here for its nostalgic charm, and once they grow older, transitioning to the annex seems like a great idea! - Meals: The food was incredibly tasty. Cooking on an irori (sunken hearth) in the room felt fresh and unique! While there was quite a bit of smoke, we were very satisfied overall. The sashimi portions were generous and both visually appealing and flavorful. However, I personally found the quantity slightly insufficient—one more dish would have been perfect. - Onsen: Thanks to its tatami flooring, it felt safe without any risk of slipping—very comfortable! The changing area was spacious as well. Although it's said to be the same onsen water as in the annex, I felt that there seemed to be more slipperiness in the water at the annex compared to here. One downside is that due to poor fitting of a screen door connecting between outdoor baths and indoor baths, insects could get inside—but aside from that issue everything else met expectations. - Room: The room cleaning standards were high; everything looked spotless which made us happy during our stay! Despite having traditional Japanese aesthetics throughout decor-wise dining setup included chairs & tables around irori making meal times easier than sitting directly onto tatami mats like typical ryokans might require...which can sometimes feel uncomfortable especially over longer periods spent eating meals together comfortably seated upright instead feels better ergonomically speaking too perhaps? Lastly adding TV availability within sleeping quarters alongside existing dining area placement would enhance convenience further potentially improving guest experience overall even more so ideally someday soon hopefully possible maybe?

    I was able to relax.

    First stay Detached style with open-air bath and indoor bath Enjoyed meals by the hearth, including delicious sashimi platter Can spend the entire time without leaving the room. A bit pricey, but might consider repeating. Looking forward to visiting again when in Ise. Thank you very much.

    Stayed with us for the third time.

    This was my third stay at the accommodation. The dinner menu was different from last time, and it was very delicious again. My 2-and-a-half-year-old daughter enjoyed the room's bath as it was more spacious than usual. The room has some age but is well-cleaned, and there is a heater in the toilet to keep it warm, which was very nice. I had a relaxing stay this time as well, making it a wonderful experience. Thank you to the male and female staff members who always assist us so kindly. Based on our conversation during my previous stay, my parents are planning to visit next time too and are looking forward to it very much. I regret not being able to fill out the room survey in the morning due to being in a rush. I would love to stay here again!

    A wonderful trip with excellent accommodation and hospitality!

    A delightful trip to Toba and Ise! - **Welcome** We arrived by car, and as soon as our car was spotted, we were warmly greeted and guided to the parking lot. A great start with a wonderful impression. - **Room & Onsen** The room was spacious, private, and quiet without any noise from other rooms—a relaxing space overall. The Onsen in the room was available 24/7, with adjustable water temperature for maximum comfort—absolutely satisfying! The outdoor open-air bath was also enjoyable during winter without concerns about insects, allowing us to relax deeply. (The room wasn’t one of the newly renovated ones, so there was a slight historical scent indoors.) - **Dinner** We dined at the restaurant within the facility. Even though there were other guests present, each space was partitioned for privacy during meals. The dishes were served at a relaxed pace while observing our timing preferences. From Ise lobster to sashimi and steak—the food was delicious with satisfying portions! - **Breakfast** Highlights included simmered fish and shrimp miso soup—everything tasted amazing! - **Staff** A male staff member from overseas took care of us in our room; his Japanese skills were excellent along with his communication and attentiveness—we are very grateful! - **Farewell** Several staff members including our room attendant waved goodbye until our car disappeared from sight—it left us feeling warm-hearted. - **Other Notes** Dinner time had to be selected upon arrival; although the website mentioned last orders at 8:30 PM, we found out that dinner service ended at around 6:30 PM instead. Having eaten a late lunch thinking we could dine later around 8 PM left us slightly full during dinner—so please take note of this timing adjustment when planning your meals. To all the staff at Kisara: We had such an amazing time thanks to you all! Thank you so much for everything you did for us. We've already talked about making this an annual tradition around this time of year—looking forward to staying again next year too!

    Perfect stay, will definitely book again.

    I have stayed at various ryokans before, but the meals here were the most delicious. The attention to detail was remarkable, and each dish had a refined taste that showed great care. The hospitality from everyone was also excellent. This is a ryokan I would definitely want to stay at again. Thank you very much!

    The staff provided exceptionally kind and pleasant service. The meals were delicious, leaving both my stomach and heart satisfied. The sashimi was served in a luxurious boat platter, incredibly fresh. The onsen bath in the room was available 24 hours a day, which attracted me to make the reservation. I enjoyed it three times and experienced an extraordinary escape. Although I occasionally heard the sound of the boiler, it didn’t bother me, and I slept soundly at night. Some parts of the room's floor were slightly uneven, but I hope these will be gradually fixed over time. While I rated the room a 4 because of this, it is still an accommodation I'd love to visit again for a relaxing stay. I sincerely wish for your continued success and long-lasting operation over many years to come!

    The sashimi was delicious.

    The room felt old but was cleaned thoroughly. However, the counter where the kettle was placed was quite dark, and when we opened the drawer, coffee powder was scattered inside, so we washed the cups ourselves. The beverages provided were only tea and coffee, which seemed limited considering the accommodation cost. Items like the bottle opener and toilet slippers appeared to be of low quality, not matching the accommodation price. There were no explanations from staff about facilities or how to adjust the air conditioning in the room; we had to figure it out ourselves. The sashimi served during meals was very delicious. While meal serving timing was good, we had to ask for things like a pre-meal toast or hand towels ourselves. Additionally, there were no mentions of local specialties such as regional sake or wine; it would have been nice if staff introduced these options proactively. Overall, there were many concerns regarding service and facilities.

    The room's bath is excellent.

    Each Room is in a separate building, providing a sense of security. Meals are served in private rooms, allowing for a quiet and relaxing dining experience. The Matsusaka beef and sashimi for dinner were both incredibly delicious. The Room's bath includes both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, both spacious enough to enjoy without needing a large public bath. Late check-out at 11:00 AM was also very convenient. It might be challenging to access without a car, but it was definitely worth staying here.

    Very comfortable for families with children!

    The rooms are spaced apart, making it ideal for families with children who may be concerned about noise. They also provided water for milk, diapers, and baby wipes, which was very convenient. Additionally, the room was spacious and came with an Onsen, which delighted the children. The meals were also delicious.

    Relaxed time

    I was impressed by the wonderful Stays. The bath was spacious and clean, allowing me to relax and enjoy it multiple times. I was very satisfied with the meals and was able to spend a relaxing time. It was a great way to relieve my daily fatigue. I definitely want to visit again.

    Perfect for a commemorative trip

    We stayed for my husband's birthday trip. The room is a bit old, but it was cleaned nicely. The room had two baths, one inside and one outside, which made my husband very happy, and it was very pleasant. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were very delicious and hearty. The head of the Ise lobster served at dinner was used in the miso soup for breakfast, and it was very tasty. The staff were aware that it was a birthday trip and congratulated us, which made my husband very happy. Thank you for letting us have a great birthday trip. We would love to stay again.

    Relaxed and quiet

    We stayed at this property for a trip with my wife. We chose this property because we wanted a room with a private open-air bath. We try to incorporate a space for just the two of us into our travels, avoiding other guests as much as possible. This property met those conditions. However, I would like to make a few detailed points. ① The staff was kind and courteous, providing clear explanations. ② The food was impeccable. We had a plan with in-room dining, allowing us to enjoy our meals at our own pace. The dishes made full use of seafood, and the style of grilling Ise beef over an irori was excellent. Breakfast was also plentiful, and the simmered sea bream head was superb. ③ The arrangement of the open-air bath and indoor bath was good, with the indoor bath having a tatami floor that is non-slip. Additionally, projection mapping is used in the indoor bath, projecting onto the bathtub, creating a relaxing mood. ④ The softness and size of the bed were just right, making it easy to sleep. We slept soundly. Points of concern: ① I would like the TV, viewed from the dining table, to be moved a little more to the center. It is currently left-aligned. ② A slight draft comes in from under the sliding door at the entrance. It might be cold during the winter season. ③ I think the pillows on the bed are too soft. If possible, I would like two types, firmer and softer, to be provided. ④ I would like a place to hang towels on the open-air bath side. That's all. Although there were some minor concerns, it was a very satisfying stay.

    A Blissful Day

    This was my first stay. The staff were very kind, the food was seafood sashimi from Ise Toba, and the open-air bath was very satisfying. The service was friendly to children, the amenities were plentiful, and our whole family was able to spend a luxurious time. I would like to use it again the next time I travel to Toba.

    Good Stays

    I parked in the wrong location, but when I informed the person who greeted us, they kindly went to retrieve the car. We also arrived 30 minutes earlier than the check-in time, yet we were smoothly shown to our room, which was very considerate. The staff in charge of our room was also very courteous, and both the room and the open-air bath were wonderful and comfortable. Right after arrival, when my family requested something cold to drink, we asked for ice, and they provided a large ice pail and glasses for everyone, for which we are truly grateful. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were well-seasoned, reflecting the chef's dedication, and there was nothing to complain about. I would definitely like to use this property again. Also, I have become interested in the group's ryokans, so I will consider them as well. However, the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap... I wish they were POLA like the skincare products... None of my family found them suitable, so I rated it 4 stars.

    The cuisine is exceptional.

    We visited Toba for the first time in a while as a couple, and staying at your Property, Kisara, was truly rejuvenating. The Onsen in the Room was exceptional, but we were especially impressed by the luxurious dinner prepared using the irori and the seasonal ingredients in each dish. We hope to visit again soon. We made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

    The Best Anniversary

    First of all, thank you very much to the staff for your kind guidance. I would like to express my gratitude once again. I stayed with my wife and our 1-year-and-5-month-old daughter to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My wife is expecting our second child, and since our child is still small, we tend to choose a Hotel with a buffet. However, since it was our wedding anniversary, we decided to make a Reservation at Kisara. Before our stay, I was a bit worried about whether we could enjoy a calm meal in the Room with a child, but in the end, we had the most wonderful day. The attentive service, meticulous cleaning, the availability of toys for children, and the preparation of body pillows—everything was perfect, and we had no trouble at all.

    This year, with our family of three,

    This year, we visited as a family of three to celebrate our son's first birthday. He was able to carry the traditional rice cake, and he seemed very happy, which made us extremely satisfied. Last year, our son was still in my belly, and I was deeply moved that the staff member who assisted us remembered us. Since this is not a Property we can visit casually, we will work hard so we can come again.

    The atmosphere of the Stays, excellent! The attentiveness of the staff, outstanding! The abundance of food, perfect.

    Everything was perfect! Since becoming disabled, I had never stayed at any property, but I was so moved by the staff's attentiveness here that I thought I would like to stay again. For home oxygen therapy, when traveling, I need approval from my doctor, the medical equipment manufacturer, and the ryokan where I will stay, as equipment needs to be installed. If these three approvals are not obtained, the trip is canceled. I learned this fact during a conversation with my doctor two days before the trip. However, Kisara-san, thank you for your generosity in granting approval despite the short notice of two days. The room with the irori for meals and the room with the bed were separated by fusuma, but since the fusuma could be fully opened, there was no feeling of confinement, and it was a wonderful room. The tatami was also excellent. I stayed for a multiple night stay of two nights, and the in-room meals for breakfast and dinner were so voluminous that I was full, and everything was delicious. Each dish made me wonder, "What is this?" followed by "Wow! This is delicious!!" repeatedly. The sukiyaki with Matsusaka beef was also incredibly delicious. The abalone, which came with one per person, was also thick! The bath had both an indoor and outdoor bath, so I could enter anytime and felt cheerful. The indoor bath had tatami flooring, so even children could lie down, and the tatami was gentle on the feet. The bath allowed for a luxurious long soak with projection mapping. In the outdoor bath, while feeling the slightly chilly breeze and the warm bath, and looking at the beautiful starry sky, time passed quickly before I knew it. The room's design and size, the meal content (in-room dining was the best!), and the bed's comfort were all excellent. As I wrote at the beginning, what surpasses all of these is the humanity of the dedicated attendant and other staff members, with their smiles, language, and attentiveness, making me want to use this ryokan again. I am glad to have encountered such a good ryokan. I was lucky. Thank you for the wonderful memories. If I have anything to say, it's that while I've often heard of ryokans with luxurious dinners, Kisara-san's breakfast is also too luxurious! With a whole simmered fish, tai head, and Ise lobster red miso soup, the extras were beyond my expectations. Every meal was a delight, and it was the best. My stomach is full. Thank you for the best memories.

    It was a very nice Stays.

    The room with an open-air bath has both an indoor bath and an open-air Onsen. I was satisfied with the quiet environment where I could relax. The presentation of the meals was very beautiful and looked delicious just by appearance. (They were actually delicious) One disappointing thing is that there is no TV in the bedroom. I was used to falling asleep while watching TV. I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

    This is an inn where you can relax very much.

    When we arrived by car, it was raining quite heavily, but three people came to greet us with umbrellas right away. You can choose from colorful yukatas and obi sashes. The room had an irori dining area, and it could be separated from the room with the beds, so we could sleep without worrying about the smell of the in-room dining. The bath had both an indoor and an open-air bath, with adjustable temperatures, and the indoor bath had projection mapping, which was incredibly beautiful at night. It was my first time at a hot spring inn without a large public bath, but since there was no need to leave the room, I felt like I could relax much more than usual. The food, especially the fish, was incredibly delicious, and I ate too much, haha. It's an inn I'd like to visit again when I want to relax.
