    Cozy Accommodation

    This time, it was a trip for two with my elderly mother. We made a reservation at Saginoyu-so Accommodation because it is close to the Adachi Museum of Art. We extended our sightseeing in Matsue and informed them by phone that we would arrive later than planned due to traveling by train. Despite this, they kindly adjusted the shuttle bus schedule and came to pick us up at the bus stop, which was very reassuring in an unfamiliar area. The bus stop is just a few minutes' walk even for my elderly mother, and the Adachi Museum of Art is truly nearby, so I’m glad we chose Saginoyu-so Accommodation. The interior was quiet and lovely—not too large—making it very comfortable for my mother as well. They upgraded us to a spacious room as a service gesture, allowing us to relax fully during our stay. One downside was that there were only stairs available; going up and down seemed slightly challenging for my mother. Other than that, everything else was truly wonderful—the meals were delicious both at dinner and breakfast. Starting from June 1st, they began offering firefly tours; we were delighted to join this special experience. The onsen facilities included private baths (indoor) with garden views as well as open-air baths in the large public bath area where we could unwind leisurely. All staff members were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay—it’s an accommodation I’d love to visit again someday. Thank you for providing such a wonderful healing time!

    Had a relaxing stay.

    A two-person trip with a friend from my student days We booked a two-night stay because it was near the Adachi Museum of Art and gave us a sense of calm, but it turned out to be even more comfortable than expected. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the rice at breakfast was so good that I had seconds for the first time in my life. The clam miso soup also surprised me with its large clams. The view from the onsen's open-air bath wasn't quite what I imagined, but once in the bath, I understood its charm! The water quality had an indescribable smoothness. While the temperature of the open-air bath was slightly low—perhaps due to outside air—it was perfect for chatting with friends while soaking. The two-story building designed as a corridor-style structure and having a spot where you can enjoy coffee while gazing at the garden were delightful touches. The staff's gentle hospitality also left a great impression on us—all very pleasant! I found myself wishing this place were located in the Tokyo metropolitan area so I could become a regular visitor as we headed home. If I ever visit San'in again, I'd love to stay here once more!

    I decided to stay because I could enter the Adachi Museum of Art 30 minutes before its opening time. Since the room had an open-air bath, I didn't use the public bath this time, but it seemed to be available all night. Dinner was served in the room, and breakfast was in a large hall; however, according to the staff, having breakfast in the room might be possible with prior consultation. The room was spacious, and the open-air bath with natural hot spring water was excellent. The meals were average. The images on IKYU.com appeared to be of a separate annex; however, I stayed at the main building next door and got confused initially. There were no signs indicating whether it was the main building or annex, which might be unclear for first-time visitors. After checking out, they kindly allowed me to leave my car parked while visiting Adachi Museum of Art. Thank you very much to all the staff for your hospitality!

    The dinner was delicious with excellent seasoning and high-quality ingredients! The garden was beautiful, the bath was clean, and the service provided by everyone was impeccable, making our stay very pleasant. It would be great if breakfast could start a little earlier.     Good Accommodation

    I visited Saginoyu-so again, wanting to experience the Adachi Museum of Art in a different season. During my previous stay, I was already satisfied with the cuisine, but this time it was equally wonderful—I enjoyed every drop of the flavorful broth. The dishes, incorporating plenty of local ingredients and beautifully arranged to reflect the season, were a feast for both the eyes and palate. The staff at the accommodation were courteous and kind, the room was comfortable, the onsen was blissful, and even the background music added to an exceptional experience. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again.

    Stayed with an admis...

    Stayed with an admission ticket to the Adachi Museum of Art included. The accommodation was different from the photos on the top page, but it was right next to the museum and allowed for a relaxing stay. The room had been renovated and was comfortable. I had forgotten that there was no private bath in the room, so I was glad to be able to reserve a private bath. Dinner followed the menu and both warm and cold dishes were delicious. The Japanese-style breakfast in the morning featured tofu hot pot, which was gentle on my stomach; adding ham or similar items to the fresh vegetables might have made them easier to eat. The coffee service after breakfast provided a cozy moment while enjoying views of the garden.

    I was very satisfied with my stay. The Adachi Museum of Art is also nearby. The staff were very kind and attentive. The meals, even with the Standard Plan, were delicious and did not disappoint.     Visit Izumo Taisha Shrine and Adachi Museum of Art

    Used for visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine and Adachi Museum of Art. Stayed in two Rooms (Tsubaki and Momiji) for two families. The Rooms were neither too spacious nor too small, just right. The private bath in the Room was a natural hot spring, spacious enough for two adults to relax comfortably—truly wonderful. Enjoyed an exciting game of table tennis after dinner. The next day, we could enter Adachi Museum of Art at 8:30 AM, 30 minutes before the official opening time, allowing us to enjoy the garden with fewer visitors around. Would love to visit again someday!

    Accommodation with Table Tennis Facilities

    We had a great time enjoying Onsen table tennis after a long while. This accommodation is very convenient for visiting the Adachi Museum of Art, and the guest rooms felt very user-friendly. Dinner in a private room was nice, but some dishes differed from the description, and it lacked a sense of uniqueness considering the price.

    Delicious Crab and Wintering Swan Tour

    We enjoyed a kaiseki meal featuring Matsuba crab. We were fully satisfied with the crab prepared in various ways: boiled, grilled, fried, steamed, in vinegar, and in chawanmushi. We leisurely enjoyed the Adachi Museum of Art at our own pace. There was a surprise tour in the morning where we could see a beautiful flock of swans wintering. It unexpectedly became a memorable and pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

    This is my second stay.

    This is my second stay as I wanted to visit the Adachi Museum of Art in different seasons. A shower, which was not available last time, has been added to the room, making the room's bath more convenient to use, which was great. The staff at the property were very pleasant, and this time, I was able to participate in a tour to see swans, guided by the staff, which allowed me to have a very fulfilling time. We had dinner in a private room in a separate building, and that building was also wonderful, with a garden that was as beautiful as the Adachi Museum of Art. I definitely want to visit again in a different season.

    Stays during the New Year holidays

    We stayed for three days and two nights from New Year's Eve as a mother and daughter. We chose this place again because it was very comfortable when we stayed here in the spring over a decade ago, aiming to visit the Adachi Museum of Art. The Ryokan and Onsen were clean, and the staff were kind and courteous. The food was delicious. I was really hooked on the crab tempura! The presentation of the dishes was meticulous, and the tableware was elaborate, allowing us to enjoy both visually and tastefully. It makes you want to repeat the experience many times. We were taken to see swans about 5 to 10 minutes by car from the Ryokan. At this time of year, about 2,000 swans overwinter in the rice fields around here. Under the clear sky, in the crisp morning air, the sight of many swans relaxing gracefully was very beautiful. We visited in spring last time and winter this time, so I hope to come in the autumn for the fall foliage or in early summer next time.

    This is my first time using "Saginoyuso" (Saginoyuso) on the recommendation of an acquaintance. After driving through bad weather, I finally arrived. The exterior is modest. First, a warm welcome. The staff greeted me with a smile, and there was a lantern made by a local blacksmith, which made my heart feel warm. At the reception, I received an explanation of the Property while having tea in a place with a view of the garden. The garden was also wonderful and soothing. This time, I stayed in a standard Room in the main building. It had two rooms, divided into a bedroom and a living room, and was spacious enough. There was also a humidifier. There was no private bath. I immediately enjoyed the highly-rated Onsen. First, I used the private bath, then entered the large public bath, where the water was clear and smooth, making my skin feel silky. It relieved my fatigue and was very relaxing. For dinner, I had kaiseki in a private Room with a separate Room, bringing in Koshu wine (corkage fee 1000 yen). It was a delightful experience, enjoying the seafood from the Sea of Japan and the mountain delicacies of San'in. Breakfast was served in the large hall. The dried flatfish and rice were very delicious. The staff were all young and efficient, and the pleasant service was impressive. Thank you very much. "Adachi Museum of Art" (Adachi Bijutsukan) is adjacent and within walking distance. Discounted admission tickets could be purchased at the Stays. The Japanese garden has been ranked number one in Japan for over 20 consecutive years. I spent more than two hours appreciating the vast garden and Japanese paintings. Next time, I would like to use it as a base for sightseeing in San'in.

    I stayed at the property to visit the Adachi Museum of Art first thing in the morning. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy it as expected. The dinner was delicious, and I savored it slowly. The person in charge was very wonderful, which made it taste even better. I thought I would just sleep, so I reserved a normal room, but I regret not reserving a room with an open-air bath.

    The cuisine is excellent, and the location is superb.

    Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. The head chef's taste and presentation were excellent. The Onsen water was good. The previous stay was at Tamatsukuri Onsen, but this one had a better scent and smoothness, truly feeling like a 100% natural Onsen. The location is, needless to say, ideal. If you're going to the Adachi Museum of Art, this is the place to stay.

    The perfect Stays for those visiting Adachi Museum of Art!

    The welcome drink, coffee service in the lounge after breakfast, and the opportunity to feed the splendid koi outside the lounge were heartwarming services. The main purpose was to visit the Adachi Museum of Art (Adachi Bijutsukan) first thing in the morning the next day. The lounge had many books related to the Adachi Museum of Art, allowing for leisurely enjoyment in advance if time permitted. Tickets could be purchased at a pre-sale price at the property, and entry to the museum, which is about a one-minute walk from the property, was possible from 8:30 AM. We were able to enjoy the most popular dry landscape garden in a calm, almost private setting, which was very satisfying! We stayed in a room with beds in the main building, but there was a toilet within the room. This room setup might have been fine for a family, but for us, staying with three friends, it was a bit of a concern. The cuisine and private baths seemed reasonable for the price. Immediately after checking in, the fun service of choosing your favorite yukata and obi was memorable. It was a property that made us want to stay in a different type of room next time.

    I had a great time with my mother.

    I stayed with my mother during our trip. One of the purposes of the trip was to visit the Adachi Museum of Art, so I chose a nearby property. We were able to enjoy the museum at our leisure without worrying about the shuttle service schedule, and it was nice to relax in the room at the property right after visiting the museum. The open-air bath in the room also had a foot bath, and we enjoyed both the large public bath and the room's bath. The dinner was delicious, featuring a variety of seasonal ingredients paired with local sake. Above all, the staff's attentive care made our stay thoroughly enjoyable, and my mother was very pleased.

    It was cold...

    I stayed at the beginning of November. Overall, it was a quiet and calm atmosphere, and I was able to spend my time very leisurely. It was nice to be able to use the private bath. However, there were a few disappointing points... The welcome tea was lukewarm, so I would have preferred to be shown to my room quickly rather than being served that. I was surprised that the hand-washing water in the toilet in front of the breakfast room was cold water. The breakfast room was too cold. It was a rare day with a typhoon approaching, so I wish it had been a bit warmer. These were the slightly disappointing points. I was grateful that they dried my shoes that got wet in the rain.

    We used it for a commemorative trip. Thank you for accommodating our requests. We were very satisfied with the delicious food and hospitality. We couldn't eat the cake we ordered, so it was brought to our Room with a cute message card attached. I thought it was a Ryokan with a lot of attention to detail.     If you're going to the Adachi Museum of Art, stay here!

    This is a historic Stays where shogi title matches were once held. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, and the Room was clean. The meals were elegant and beautifully presented, and since dinner was served in the Room, it was very relaxing. The best part was that the Adachi Museum of Art is almost right in front of the Property. Since it was a Plan with museum tickets, we were able to enter 30 minutes earlier than the usual 9 AM entry time. Those 30 minutes were very valuable as we could see cleaning activities that are not usually visible, and we could take photos in a completely empty setting. At 9 AM, the garden becomes very crowded even on weekdays, but we could enjoy it quietly and leisurely. If you are considering visiting the Adachi Museum of Art, this Stays, which aligns with that concept, is recommended. Of course, the service was courteous, and we had a pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

    The most comfortable Stays I have ever experienced. The staff were all very kind, the food was delicious, and the Onsen was pleasant. This Property is recommended for those who want to leisurely enjoy the Adachi Museum of Art. The only disappointing point was the malfunctioning washlet in the guest room.

    Since there were fewer guests for a Friday stay, we received attentive service. Both the private bath and the large public bath, as well as the facilities, were well-maintained and clean.     If you are going to visit the Adachi Museum of Art, we recommend staying overnight.

    I stayed for the purpose of visiting the Adachi Museum of Art. Thanks to the advance ticket I purchased at Saginoyu-so, I was able to enter about 30 minutes early in the morning, allowing me to enjoy up to the point before Taikan in silence. Although most of the visitors were Japanese group tourists, many of them spoke loudly, which is unimaginable in Tokyo museums. For those who wish to view quietly, I recommend staying overnight via Saginoyu. Additionally, the onsen and bath were very good, and the scent of the garden's kinmokusei in the private bath was pleasant. Regarding amenities and facilities, as a coffee lover, I found it inconvenient that there was no machine or drip coffee in the room, nor a lounge where I could drink for free, so I brought some from home. Also, when going to the large public bath or private bath, you need to bring a towel, and it was slightly disappointing that there were no baskets like in other ryokans. Lastly, I forgot to mention that it was very convenient to be able to leave my car parked while enjoying the Adachi Museum of Art. Thank you very much.

    Fewer Japanese-style Stays

    The dinner was a Japanese-style kaiseki, and it was excellent. I could feel the dedication to the cuisine, and the staff's service was pleasant.
