It was a wonderful Ryokan.
During our stay, my husband showed symptoms of heatstroke, and you kindly arranged drinks, medicine, and rice balls for him. Even after checkout, while my daughter and I visited the Adachi Museum of Art, you allowed him to rest there the entire time. We truly appreciate your thoughtful care. The Room was on the second floor; greenery swayed right in front of us, and we could hear birds singing—it was very soothing. We would love to stay again.

One of the best Ryokan stays I’ve ever had.
We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was excellent—the amenities were well stocked and the Room was clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious and delicious. The service was also very polite and attentive. This is a Ryokan we would definitely recommend.

Thank you very much ...
Thank you very much for your hospitality. Your attentive service and the tea in your lovely garden were wonderful. The Onsen was also very relaxing. We were able to use the private family bath as well, and had a truly restful stay. I caused you trouble due to my misunderstanding, but I really appreciated how kindly and properly you handled it. Being right next to the Adachi Museum of Art also allowed us to enjoy the museum at a leisurely pace. We would love to visit again.

A Room with an open-air bath is the best.
I stayed here the night before my first visit to the Adachi Museum of Art. When I arrived at the Hotel and parked, a staff member came out to greet me at the entrance and casually offered to carry my luggage—I was impressed right away. Then, while enjoying a coffee, I checked in and received an explanation of the facilities. Everything felt comfortable and never overbearing. When I was looking at the large koi in the garden, they even kindly gave me some feed as well... The Room was on the first floor with a private open-air bath. Since I wanted to use it before dinner, I went in right away while looking out over the beautifully maintained garden. Dinner was served in a private dining room with a full view of the garden, and I could tell they were thoughtfully timing each dish to match my pace. From greeting me on arrival through dinner service, one male staff member took care of everything; he kindly shared various information about Shimane and about Saginoyu-so (such as swans and fireflies), making it a very enjoyable meal (I regret that I forgot to ask his name). The next morning, I enjoyed another bath before breakfast, then had breakfast in the large hall—the overnight-dried fish was delicious as well. For my main目的—the Adachi Museum of Art—there is an Accommodation guest benefit that allows entry from 8:30 a.m., so I visited after checking out. Being able to enter early let me fully enjoy photographing and viewing the gardenscapes, paintings, and artworks at my leisure. However, around 9:30 a.m., several tour buses arrived one after another, and it quickly became crowded with many people. In closing, staying at Saginoyu-so was truly comfortable. It has become an Accommodation I would love to visit again—perhaps during firefly season next time.

We had a relaxing stay.
I stayed here to visit the Adachi Museum of Art first thing in the morning. I enjoyed the private open-air bath and was very satisfied with the delicious dinner and drinks. They also offered discounted admission tickets and kindly stored my luggage, which was very helpful.

Fireflies dancing in the night—truly moving.
Thank you for taking care of us again, following last year. This is a truly relaxing Accommodation. Everything was beautifully kept, from the garden to the Room—wonderful in every way. All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming. We were very satisfied with the meals and enjoyed them—they were delicious. The Onsen was also excellent. They took us to see fireflies. We were amazed by how many there were, and we all came back deeply moved. The Room, the Onsen, the staff, and the cuisine— this is an Accommodation filled with heartfelt hospitality. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you very much. We will visit again.

I had a relaxing stay.
This trip was planned around the Adachi Museum of Art, and after a lot of deliberation we chose this Accommodation and Room. We were able to relax very comfortably. The Room felt set up for longer stays, with a kitchen, oven, and microwave—almost like you could live there as-is. It even came with wine glasses, so it was surprising that the shop didn’t sell wine or other drinks. There was also a parcel locker (?) included, so I wondered if there might have been some kind of room service available. We were able to spend time in the Room as if relaxing together in our family living room. We arrived early, and they let us use the parking lot; before check-in we fully enjoyed the Adachi Museum of Art and also took a walk around the neighborhood. We relaxed in the living and dining areas of the Room, and used the open-air bath many times (the public bath also had just the right temperature and was excellent, but it was a bit far away, so we mostly made great use of the bath in our Room). Since we weren’t expecting it, we were amazed by how many fireflies there were on the firefly tour—the scene was so magical. My parents especially felt the season through that experience. (I couldn’t believe they were that close by.) As for meals: on our first night, the freshly cooked pea rice was delicious, but there was so much that we couldn’t finish it—which was a shame. (The deep-fried loach was also unusual and very tasty.) I don’t usually drink sake much either, but I enjoyed some local sake. We were also provided with a private dining room again, which allowed our family to relax together. Thank you very much.

We stayed on a clear...
We stayed on a clear May day with swallows darting through the sky. When we soaked in the open-air bath at night, we could hear a chorus of frogs from the nearby rice paddies that had just been planted, making us feel close to the season. Feed was provided for the beautiful koi in the garden, and we enjoyed feeding them. We’re grateful to the staff for always welcoming us with such pleasant greetings.\nWe’ll be back again—thank you in advance.

Admission tickets to the Adachi Museum of Art are also included, making it very convenient.
Revisited with my wife. Since our details from the previous stay were on file, check-in was extremely smooth and comfortable. Parking arrangements and pick-up service were handled properly as well. In particular, the staff’s efficiency and conversation during meals were excellent. Dinner was a full-course Japanese menu. The highlight was that the Shimane wagyu beef grilled on a ceramic plate was served after the sashimi and before the palate cleanser—perfect timing. The Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) yuzu-marinated grill was especially delicious and paired wonderfully with the finishing clam rice. It felt like a thoughtfully composed menu, and we thoroughly enjoyed in-room dining. The bath is a semi-open-air bath attached to the Room, available anytime you like. Being able to soak again and again offers value beyond the price. In the morning, before visiting the museum, they kindly stored our luggage inside. These understated services are also very well considered. The Adachi Museum of Art becomes very crowded with tour groups after it opens at 9:00, so staying at an Accommodation close by—and continuing to receive various services even after checkout—makes the museum visit far more fulfilling. Staying in Saginoyu and enjoying an Adachi Museum of Art visit starting at 8:30 before opening is an itinerary I wholeheartedly recommend.

1-minute walk from the Adachi Museum of Art
Booked via IKYU. Excellent value for the price—outstanding cost performance. Just a 1-minute walk to the Adachi Museum of Art, which is very convenient. I’d like to stay here again when visiting the Adachi Museum of Art. The location is also ideal—right in the middle for trips to Daisen, Izumo, and Tottori, making it very convenient if you’re traveling by car.

Camellia Flower
This time, camellia flowers—the same as the Room name—were blooming right by the open-air bath, and I was happy to stay at just the right time. It always gives me a comforting sense of being back at my parents’ home. I feel like I want to come again soon.

To the Adachi Museum of Art
We took a one-night trip as a couple and were able to relax and soothe our travel fatigue. For seniors, meals are one of life’s pleasures, and we are grateful to have enjoyed the deep flavors of Japanese cuisine along with the thoughtfulness behind it. We enjoyed dinner at a leisurely pace in a private room, and the Onsen—especially the private open-air bath—left us with wonderful memories of our trip. However, we made a Reservation for a second-floor Room for the view, but it was just an ordinary townscape; considering the stairs, we think the first floor might have been better. The Ryokan is also next to an art museum, which made us very satisfied. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

Elegant Onsen Ryokan
The Onsen is clear and odorless, which might feel a bit lacking for some, but its effects are outstanding, warming your body to the core. The staff at the accommodation were all exceptionally kind and provided heartfelt service without exception.

I am very satisfied.
The atmosphere upon arriving at the Ryokan was exceptional. Personally, I loved the ambiance. The atmosphere inside the Ryokan was also outstanding. It felt different from what I had seen online, in a good way. The staff's hospitality was polite and impeccable. The meals were seasoned to my liking. I requested loach dishes, and they were so delicious that I was deeply impressed. This Ryokan has a nostalgic charm that makes you want to visit again.

I had a very comfortable stay.
Located right next to the Adachi Museum of Art, the accommodation is clean and well-maintained. The staff are all kind, and the meals are delicious, making it a highly recommended accommodation. The swan watching during winter was amazing. Thank you very much!

The garden is beautiful. You can also enjoy various Onsen options.
The garden of the ryokan was beautiful and truly impressive. Although our stay was primarily for visiting the garden at the Adachi Museum of Art, we were extremely satisfied. The gardens around the ryokan and its courtyard were well-maintained, and we could enjoy the view from our room. We were kindly upgraded to the best room available. Dinner was served in our room, with rice freshly cooked individually in front of us. There were so many dishes that it was almost impossible to finish them all. The onsen included a large public bath and two private baths. We tried them all, and they were wonderful. This is a ryokan I would love to visit again and highly recommend!

I had a relaxing and comfortable stay.
We visited during the beautiful autumn foliage season to attend the Kamiari Festival at Izumo Shrine and enjoy the Adachi Museum of Art. The service and attentiveness of the staff were impeccable and pleasant, and we fully enjoyed both the delicious seasonal cuisine and our spacious Room.

Excellent Accommodation Near Adachi Museum of Art
A revisit after 5 years. I enjoyed a wonderful Room, relaxing in the foot bath while reading. The beautiful garden, the scent of tatami, and the Onsen provided a luxurious experience that felt truly liberating for both body and mind. The service at reception and during meals was impeccable. Being close to the Adachi Museum of Art allowed me to visit early in the morning and enjoy a clear view of the garden, which was fantastic.

Smiles and Hospitality
The staff's smiles were impressive. Their thoughtful attention was heartwarming. The meals were delicious, and even the rice was exceptional. I was surprised to find such tasty rice in Shimane Prefecture. Located diagonally across from the Adachi Museum of Art, everything exceeded expectations.

It was great.
It was my first visit, and the courteous service was delightful. Thank you for upgrading our room as there was availability. The room was more than spacious for our family of five, including three children. However, it was a bit disappointing that there were no toothbrushes in the room and the futon covers had a slight odor. The meals were not made with particularly luxurious ingredients, but both dinner and breakfast were well-seasoned and very delicious. The intricate carving on the carrots was impressive and memorable. The open-air bath in the large public bath was spacious and had a great sense of openness. At night, there were no obstructions or lights from nearby houses, and if the weather had been clear, the stars would have been visible. You can also play table tennis, reminiscent of old Onsen Ryokan days. My daughter, who doesn’t know that era, really enjoyed it (laughs). Adachi Museum of Art is conveniently just a one-minute walk away. Even entering at 3 PM, we were able to take our time appreciating the exhibits. Overall, we were very satisfied. We would love to visit again when we go to the shrine.

Friendly service
The service is very polite and friendly. The garden is beautiful and provides a relaxing atmosphere, but the Facility and meals are quite standard for a traditional Ryokan. I chose this Ryokan for its convenient location, just one minute from the museum. There was a service allowing guests to choose their favorite yukata patterns, but the colors were faded, and the designs seemed childish, so I wore my own yukata that I brought with me. While I've rarely found attractive yukatas provided by Ryokans in general, having more appealing options could make even an ordinary Facility feel special.

It was a wonderful accommodation.
I have stayed at various Onsen accommodations with private baths, and this Ryokan was exceptional. The atmosphere and service were outstanding, reflecting its historical significance. The large public bath and open-air bath offered great views, but the highlight was the private room bath—perfect in temperature and size. I enjoyed it multiple times while admiring the garden. The "Momiji" room was neither too big nor too small, providing a calm and relaxing space. Interestingly, a famous shogi match featuring Habu-san took place in the neighboring room—a great conversation piece!

Highly recommended for those visiting the Adachi Museum of Art!
The moderate level of hospitality was comfortable. The view from the open-air bath was soothing. I also enjoyed playing Onsen table tennis for the first time in my life! The dinner was delicious, but the breakfast was disappointing with its ordinary selection.

We had a great trip.
Being next to the museum, I was able to enter 30 minutes early with a ticket that included admission, allowing me to fully enjoy the museum in the morning without feeling tired from traveling. The bath was relaxing, the meals were delicious, and the atmosphere of the accommodation was charming and wonderful. The staff, including the manager, were all kind and attentive, and even the younger staff seemed well-trained. It was such a great accommodation that made me want to visit and stay again. Thanks to this experience, I had an enjoyable trip for the rest of my schedule as well. Thank you very much!

It was a wonderful accommodation.
Conveniently located next to the Adachi Museum of Art. A truly satisfying accommodation. The well-maintained garden was impressive, and the decorations were lovely. Even the tables in the rest areas were charming, creating a relaxing atmosphere that conveyed a sense of hospitality. The tasteful decorations and beautifully arranged flowers created a truly comfortable space. The large public bath had various amenities, was spacious, clean, and offered great views. All the staff were very pleasant, and the meals were exceptionally delicious with beautiful presentation—making for a delightful experience. It was truly an accommodation worthy of 100 points out of 100! I definitely want to visit again. Every corner was spotless, making it very comfortable to stay in. It turned into an enjoyable trip for us! The fatigue from climbing Mount Daisen melted away as we relaxed here. Thank you so much! We will come again!

An accommodation you'll want to visit forever
Thank you for always welcoming us warmly upon arrival and for the pleasant greetings from all the staff. The view of the garden from the room is stunning, with well-maintained plants that make it worth visiting just to see the garden. The Adachi Museum of Art is right in front, allowing you to enjoy seasonal garden views and Japanese paintings. Each stay helps relieve work fatigue and restores my energy. This is one of the few accommodations I want to keep visiting forever.

For my mother's firs...
For my mother's first trip to Shimane Prefecture, we decided on the places to visit (sightseeing) first and then chose the accommodation. We booked immediately because it was close to our destination, the Adachi Museum of Art, and had high ratings on the site. In short, everything—room, bath, meals, and service—was absolutely satisfying. The baths were clean with no floating debris in either the indoor or outdoor baths, and even the washing area was spotless. I also appreciated that they were available 24 hours a day. As for meals, every dish was incredibly delicious with creative touches here and there. The radish garnish on top of the sashimi even made me exclaim "Wow!" out loud (laughs). Lastly, I was very grateful for their thoughtful service of letting us take freshly cooked rice (this time it was seasoned rice) as rice balls back to our room. If I had one request, it would be that having samue outfits in addition to yukata would be nice since yukata can feel uncomfortable when sleeping. That’s my only minor complaint but not enough to lower my overall impression. The next day we continued our journey to Izumo without encountering any rain at all despite a forecast of heavy rain—I’m sure even the innkeeper felt sorry for us about that! But everything turned out fine. The garden was magnificent; we fed koi fish and enjoyed playing table tennis together—it became a wonderful memory with my mother who is over 70 years old now. Next time I’d love to visit again for a quiet solo trip at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much!

Enjoy the Adachi Museum of Art.
To fully enjoy a visit to the Adachi Museum of Art, I decided to stay at Saginoyu Onsen and made a Reservation. The rooms have been recently renovated and are clean, but they lack a bit of traditional charm, which was slightly disappointing. At check-in, there was mention of private baths—were they free? If so, I wish I had tried them. The meals were average. While there was a menu provided, it would have been nice to have explanations about dishes like sashimi. For breakfast, although there were some options available, the lack of side dishes made it somewhat inconvenient. There was quite a difference between staff who offered standard service and those who showed great attentiveness. However, the person who spoke with me during check-out was friendly and kind, leaving me with a very positive final impression. It happened to be firefly season during my stay, and the guided tour for viewing them became one of my fondest memories from this trip.

Thank you.
I made a reservation five years ago in May, but had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This time, I was really looking forward to staying at Saginoyuso during my visit to Izumo. The room was spacious enough for four people and even had a washer-dryer, microwave, and toaster, which was quite interesting. The onsen facilities were wonderful, both the large public bath and the private open-air bath in the room, and I enjoyed soaking several times. The meals were satisfying in both quality and quantity, and I thoroughly enjoyed pairing them with Saginoyuso's original local sake created in collaboration with a local brewery. Having a ping-pong table was a big plus for our family. We would love to stay again during another season. Thank you very much!
