    Satisfaction guaranteed!

    From the balcony, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Asama and the trees of North Karuizawa. The meals are highly satisfying, making this Hotel one of the best value options in North Karuizawa! Although the building is slightly old, the top-floor large bath with sauna offers excellent water and stunning views. The staff's warm and attentive smiles made for a very pleasant stay. We opted for smaller meal portions this time, but they were still quite generous. The beautifully presented dishes were also a feast for the eyes. The large bath is equipped with massage chairs, lotion, and moisturizer. A hairdryer is available in your Room as well. Although our stay was short, it was refreshing and rejuvenating. It was a bit disappointing that soba noodles weren't included in breakfast this time. However, we’re glad we visited and look forward to staying again!

    Everything is ruined.

    One of the joys of traveling is enjoying delicious meals. However, during my stay, I was disappointed by certain restrictions regarding meals. For dinner, I had shabu-shabu, but I was told that getting a second serving of rice would incur an additional charge. The staff repeatedly mentioned the extra fee, which surprised me as I had never experienced this before. On the other hand, breakfast was a buffet with both Japanese and Western options, including unlimited servings of rice. While it may seem like a small detail, charging for something as simple as extra rice during dinner felt unnecessary and detracted from the overall experience. It’s unfortunate because such restrictions can leave a negative impression on what could otherwise be an enjoyable stay.

    The Room was spacious and clean. The view of Mount Asama with lingering snow from the large public bath was stunning. The mini BBQ dinner was not "mini" at all, and both the taste and portion were very satisfying. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The local craft beer was delicious as well. It would be great if we could adjust the room's air conditioning ourselves (it felt hot). The toothbrush in the amenities was a bit hard, which was slightly disappointing. The staff provided excellent service, and we were very pleased with our stay. Next time, I’d love to visit with my daughter’s family and grandchildren for a lively trip together. With such great value for money, it makes for a perfect gift from grandparents like us—something we truly appreciate. It turned out to be a wonderful trip. Thank you very much!

    We are truly grateful for everything provided at this price. Unlike Tokyo, there was still deep lingering snow, but the sunny weather made it comfortable and calm. However, we felt that nighttime cold protection and measures against snow glare were necessary. All the staff were kind and attentive. Thank you very much!

    Would love to visit again.

    I stayed here for three days due to work nearby. Since it was a weekday, the large public bath was almost like a private one. As someone who loves baths, it was an incredibly luxurious experience. The Room felt spacious enough for one person, allowing me to relax comfortably. When I woke up in the morning, I could see the snow-capped Mount Asama from the 7th-floor balcony—it was beautiful (with a tiny moon too). I’d love to stay here again!

    It was comfortable even with children!

    We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay with small children. The Room (Japanese-Western style) was spacious and very comfortable. Above all, the meals were extremely satisfying!! On the first day, we had Japanese kaiseki cuisine, and on the second day, we enjoyed yakiniku. Both were delicious and plentiful! The photos show just a small portion. We were amazed at the value for the price! Having a private dining room where we didn’t have to worry about the children making some noise was a thoughtful touch that we greatly appreciated. Breakfast was almost the same (with a few different dishes), but it was still delicious. The staff's service was polite and warm, making this Property feel worth more than its price.

    Mount Asama

    The building was old, but the meals, service attitude, and the appearance of the Room were fairly good. Even better is the spectacular view of Mount Asama. It's unfortunate that building this structure probably ruined the view for the residents behind it. In any case, I was impressed by the view of Mount Asama from the Room and the bath.

    The cuisine, service, and room size were truly the best!!

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. On the first night, I enjoyed an ultra-luxurious sukiyaki with seven large slices of meat, with two types of sauce (light and rich) that could be adjusted to taste, plus entertaining talks from the dandy and delightful staff. On the second night, I received a call in advance to avoid the same menu, and was treated to an ultra-luxurious yakiniku menu with a luxurious meat set featuring salt, sauce, and miso! When combined with the breakfast buffet and the spacious Room, the cost performance is super top-notch. The seasoning of the breakfast buffet was gentle and pleasant. I felt that it wasn't highly praised on the IKYU.com site, but I confidently and highly recommend it!

    Breakfast is...

    Overall, I think they are trying hard, but the breakfast was the worst. Even if the taste is not good, please prepare warm items to be warm. The orange juice tasted like a powder dissolved, similar to what you would find in a Showa-era candy store. It was below the level of a Showa-era guesthouse. Other than that, it seemed that the Facility was doing its best despite being old. A revisit seems unlikely.

    It was a very good trip.

    I stayed because the Review mentioned good value for money, and indeed, it was a very cost-effective trip. I had requested in advance to be considerate of noise from children running around on the upper floors, and they accommodated my request, allowing me to enjoy a quiet time. Additionally, as it was the last day of the autumn foliage festival in Karuizawa, the surrounding autumn leaves were at their last peak, and the view from the Hotel was wonderful, making it an overall excellent trip. I would like to visit again.

    We stayed here again after a year. Although the weather was unfortunate, we were able to relax. The meals were delicious, and the service was courteous and excellent. We would like to stay again next year. Thank you in advance.

    The view was excellent.

    I stayed for one night due to work. The magnificent view of Mount Asama spread out before me, and I was able to enjoy the pleasantly calm and cool air. Next time, I would like to visit for leisure.

    I was satisfied.

    The service, food, and cleanliness of the Room were very good. Especially, the dinner was excellent. One disappointing thing was that I used the indoor bath, but I was concerned about mold. I think most people use the large public bath, but sometimes it is unavoidable to use the indoor bath, so I hope for improvement next time. Thank you very much.

    The price for this amount of food! Very satisfied! The meat was very delicious. The room was clean, and the view of Mount Asama from the large public bath was magnificent.

    It is a comfortable hotel.

    We were able to spend two relaxing nights in a spacious room. The room was clean, the large public bath on the top floor was spacious and pleasant, and both the kaiseki course and the yakiniku course meals were luxurious, delicious, and very filling. The hotel is quiet and has a spacious interior. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.
