    First Visit

    The Accommodation has a sense of history, yet the interior is clean and well maintained. All of the meals were delicious. The bath is not an Onsen, but it is spacious, and the grand view from the large windows was refreshing. It was great value for money, and I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

    Best-value villa

    Even during the Obon holiday period, we were able to relax and take our time with both the bath and meals. We chose the deluxe yakiniku dinner course, and there was plenty of meat—delicious and very filling. Since this is a convenient stopover on our way back from visiting family, we would definitely like to stay again.

    Excellent value for money

    For this price, the yakiniku course was delicious and satisfying, and the bath was also great. The view from the 9th floor was wonderful, and the Room was spacious. I was a little concerned about dust in the changing room. I would like to stay again.

    It’s better to include dinner.

    The building is old—very much a resort condominium from Japan’s bubble era. To be specific, there are various issues: damage to the parking area, the road in front, and the rotary/sidewalks has been left unrepaired; we weren’t allowed to check in even a little before 3:00 p.m.; the whole building feels quite dark; and there were some fairly large horseflies flying around near the parking lot. Considering the price, though, it may be unavoidable. That said, dinner is exceptionally lavish, so I strongly recommend booking with dinner (buffet) included. Breakfast is only slightly better than what you’d get at a typical business hotel.

    Disappointed with the meals

    I had high expectations because of the great reviews, but the buffet was not good. In addition, everything was lukewarm, including cold items such as sashimi. It’s better to think of it as Business Hotel dining rather than Resort Hotel dining. The staff response at the time of Reservation was good. The Room and bath felt clean.

    One-night stay with my daughter’s family

    It was a very reasonably priced Hotel where we could relax and enjoy a quiet stay. Everyone was satisfied with the generous yakiniku dinner course. As four families (15 people), we usually had to split into about four tables, but this time we were able to sit together at one extra-large table, see everyone’s faces, and enjoy yakiniku. We were able to spend a memorable and happy time. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    We ordered the sashi...

    We ordered the sashimi set meal for dinner. It was very delicious, and the contents and portion size were just right, so we were satisfied. The Onsen was also very pleasant, and we enjoyed it. Since it was a Japanese-Western style room, we could relax on the tatami mats. The bed was also comfortable, and we slept well. At night, my spouse and I played Othello and had a great time. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    You can enjoy a very comfortable stay.

    The spacious Room and the large public bath on the top floor are very comfortable, and the Hotel is quiet, making it easy to relax. The meals—both the kaiseki course and the yakiniku course—are generous and delicious. I grew to love the view from the balcony and started visiting Kita-Karuizawa regularly. On clear days when you can see Mt. Asama, the view is truly breathtaking. Highly recommended.

    I had a quiet and relaxing stay.

    My first stay in Kita-Karuizawa. Dinner and breakfast included. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Karuizawa Station and Old Karuizawa. Perhaps because it was a Friday night, it was very quiet. The Hotel itself isn’t particularly new, but the Facility is well maintained and clean, so there were no issues. The Room had a balcony, which was nice for getting some fresh air outside. Dinner was described as casual yakiniku, but the portions were more than enough. The staff member who assisted us was from overseas and wore an “in training” badge, but they were very polite and kind throughout. Breakfast is a standard buffet style with quite a good variety—also more than sufficient. On the top floor there is a large public bath, and we also enjoyed the sauna. The price also felt quite reasonable by today’s standards. Overall, I’m very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Allergy-friendly options available

    We stayed while our child had multiple allergies. After contacting you, we made a Reservation because you said you could prepare an elimination diet for dinner. For the breakfast buffet, you provided detailed information listing the allergens in each dish, as well as the ingredients down to the component level. You even created an Excel spreadsheet. We have stayed at many Hotels while traveling, but this was the first Hotel that provided such detailed ingredient information for every buffet item. I imagine it required a great deal of work, and I feel very sorry to have caused you extra trouble, but we were able to enjoy our meals with complete peace of mind. We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful care. Everyone at the Hotel was also courteous and wonderful in their response. Thank you very much.

    The rooms are spacious, and the large public bath is excellent.

    The Room is spacious, and the large public bath is great—overall a very nice Hotel. The view is wonderful with Mt. Asama in sight, and the Room is clean. The wash area seems to have been renovated; there are two sinks outside the unit bath, which was convenient. However, the dryness, the cold, and the lack of an on-site coin laundry were a bit inconvenient. The Room was quite dry, so it would have been very helpful to have a humidifier. We stayed for skiing, so it may be unavoidable in midwinter, but the Hotel felt cold overall. The unit bath in the Room was also cold, and stepping into the hallway felt freezing—you can’t go to the large public bath wearing a yukata. There is a coin laundry nearby, but not having one inside this villa-style Hotel was somewhat inconvenient. That said, since washing and drying at the nearby coin laundry took 60 minutes, it finished while we were out shopping, so we managed.

    The grilled meat here is absolutely delicious!

    The yakiniku course here is so delicious that you'll crave it regularly. The Room is spacious, clean, and comfortable to stay in! However, the heating is not on when entering the Room, making it cold... It takes some time to warm up, so improving this would be appreciated.

    The Room and breakfast were excellent.

    We were upgraded to a family-type 4-bed Room, allowing us to relax comfortably. Thank you very much. Additionally, we only included breakfast, but the maitake soba, chicken curry, and porridge were all very delicious and highly satisfying.

    Great value for money

    We stayed at a discounted rate on the day the restaurant was closed. The location was convenient as we planned to visit Onioshidashi Park and Shiraito Falls the next day. The room was relatively spacious with a nice view. However, it lacked charm and felt more like a Business Hotel, which was slightly disappointing. Perhaps it would have been livelier if the restaurant had been open? The cleaning was thorough and well-done.

    Great value for money

    We used the Anniversary Plan for our wedding anniversary. While the accommodation showed some signs of aging, we were fully satisfied with the meals and service. The included cake and alcohol were also delightful. We think the cost performance was excellent.

    Delicious meals provided

    Included breakfast and dinner. Dinner was very hearty, and everything tasted delicious. Breakfast had a wide variety in the buffet, and I ended up eating too much. The Onsen was nice, though it felt slightly old, but it was comfortable to stay.

    Accommodation to Fully Enjoy Sightseeing

    I usually prefer secluded accommodations, but due to certain circumstances, I spent the day waiting for my family while working remotely. Even after checking out, the staff was very accommodating as I continued working on my PC in the lobby. However, I do wonder if the high ratings are justified—perhaps because I didn’t have dinner here. The breakfast was delicious though. It seems like this accommodation is popular among those who enjoy sightseeing. The staff cleaning diligently left a strong impression on me while I waited in the lobby.

    Everyone enjoyed the accommodation. Breakfast may have a slight cost, but it features a medicinal bento box using local ingredients, offering variety and fun. For children, there is a focus on bread with Karuizawa blueberries and butter, which can be enjoyed in the dining area or room as part of the plan. There is also a vegetable harvesting experience available. Alternatively, targeting golf guests and specializing services for them could be beneficial.

    A calm and cozy Hotel we love.

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days from August 3rd. This time, we caused some concern as we lost our car key and felt unwell during the night. Thank you so much for taking care of us. It is truly a comfortable hotel, and we would love to stay again next year!

    Accommodation for a family of four

    We stayed in North Karuizawa for the first time as a family of four. Positive Points: - The dining area, though not very spacious, offered a buffet with a variety of options that both children and adults could enjoy. - There were many staff members in the dining area, all of whom were friendly and welcoming. - The changing room in the bath area was clean. - A convenience store is located nearby. - It was close to Onioshidashi Park by car, and after walking a lot there, it was great to take a bath at the hotel right away (not an Onsen but located on the 13th floor with great views). Points of Concern: - The toilet in the bath area was very dirty. Although it seemed unused since the toilet paper was folded into a triangle, it had not been cleaned properly. While our room's toilet was clean, shared facilities like this should also be thoroughly cleaned. - A hair from someone else was found on one of our room's bath towels before use. - Even when set to low pressure, the bidet function on our room's toilet felt too strong and uncomfortable. Our children were very satisfied overall! We’re glad we chose this accommodation for one night during our fun trip!

    Great value and satisfying BBQ course!

    Thank you for hosting us during our family trip! We appreciate your consideration in arranging the Room and meals so that we could enjoy them as a family. The barbecue was satisfying with thick cuts of meat and generous portions! However, the thinly sliced vegetables like eggplant, pumpkin, and carrot tended to burn easily; personally, I would have preferred onions and cabbage instead. Since it was charcoal-grilled, controlling the heat was a bit challenging. The bath was spacious and very relaxing; however, the hairdryer area in the changing room had hair everywhere. I cleaned it with a quick wipe but would recommend regular cleaning there. As there is nothing around the Hotel, having a shop within the Facility would be convenient! Also, it would have been nice to have yukatas or indoor wear available for guests!

    I fell ill and had to cancel one night, but the staff provided excellent support. When booking the Room, I mistakenly selected a smoking option, but since I always choose non-smoking, the staff kindly changed it to non-smoking. I was very happy with their assistance. Thank you so much!

    Satisfied considering the price

    This feels more like a hotel utilizing a resort condominium rather than a typical Resort Hotel. However, the Wednesday-only Plan I used was significantly cheaper because the restaurant was closed. Considering that, I was generally satisfied. The Room's bathroom and toilet are minimal and not very satisfying, but the spacious public bath makes up for it. There is nothing nearby. Wednesday seems to be cleaning day as well, so both the Room and public bath were kept very clean. If you want to enjoy various restaurants in Karuizawa, taking advantage of this affordable Wednesday Plan could save you money. It’s one way to use this place effectively.

    Satisfaction guaranteed!

    From the balcony, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Asama and the trees of North Karuizawa. The meals are highly satisfying, making this Hotel one of the best value options in North Karuizawa! Although the building is slightly old, the top-floor large bath with sauna offers excellent water and stunning views. The staff's warm and attentive smiles made for a very pleasant stay. We opted for smaller meal portions this time, but they were still quite generous. The beautifully presented dishes were also a feast for the eyes. The large bath is equipped with massage chairs, lotion, and moisturizer. A hairdryer is available in your Room as well. Although our stay was short, it was refreshing and rejuvenating. It was a bit disappointing that soba noodles weren't included in breakfast this time. However, we’re glad we visited and look forward to staying again!

    Everything is ruined.

    One of the joys of traveling is enjoying delicious meals. However, during my stay, I was disappointed by certain restrictions regarding meals. For dinner, I had shabu-shabu, but I was told that getting a second serving of rice would incur an additional charge. The staff repeatedly mentioned the extra fee, which surprised me as I had never experienced this before. On the other hand, breakfast was a buffet with both Japanese and Western options, including unlimited servings of rice. While it may seem like a small detail, charging for something as simple as extra rice during dinner felt unnecessary and detracted from the overall experience. It’s unfortunate because such restrictions can leave a negative impression on what could otherwise be an enjoyable stay.
