    Enjoy a relaxing ocean view.

    A quiet place where you can truly feel Okinawa. Dining may vary by person. The flavor wasn’t quite to my taste, but the presentation was lovely and you could feel the care put into it. The staff were kind and made me feel at ease. The private bath was lukewarm and had some sand buildup—understandable given the circumstances, but still a bit disappointing. The Room view is absolutely stunning; that alone made me glad I came. If I had to be picky, there is noticeable wear on the floors and such, which felt disappointing considering the price. These are simply my personal thoughts as someone with high expectations. It’s definitely a place I’m glad I visited.

    Your First Stay at Hyakumei Garan

    Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 3-day, 2-night stay. We visited to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and thanks to your thoughtful hospitality, we were able to enjoy a relaxing and healing trip. Thank you. At the beach below the Hotel, it was quite windy due to a low-pressure system, but we were still able to snorkel and see some fish. The Room was just the right size, and we could relax comfortably. We also enjoyed the private open-air bath on the 5th floor without worrying about time, which made for a very restful experience. The meals were delicious from the jimami potage onward. Breakfast was also just the right amount and very enjoyable. It felt like there were more Western guests than we expected. We heard that an annex is scheduled to be completed next year, so we are really looking forward to it. We would love to stay with you again next time.

    Top 3 quality!

    I’ve stayed at quite a few Hotels and Ryokans across the whole country, and this place was truly excellent—service, Facilities, and the Room were all outstanding! They handled a last-minute surprise request flexibly, which I really appreciated. As for the meals, everything served was delicious. That said, I would have liked to see a few more luxurious options. 5 stars!

    The beauty of the ar...

    The beauty of the architecture, the seamless connection with the sea, and the view from the Room were breathtaking. It made me wonder if there could be a better Hotel anywhere in the world. The dining exceeded expectations, and every moment of our stay became a wonderful memory.

    Third time.

    This was our third stay in the Hakuin Room. It rained quite a bit, but it was wonderful. I could clear my mind while gazing absentmindedly at the sea.

    Not worth the price.

    I wrote a comment during my stay and received a reply about a month later. It was a model, textbook-style response—just like the way you spoke to us on site—but I still feel upset, so I’m posting this review. The food was terrible. The first dish didn’t arrive until 20 minutes after our Reservation time. Even the shrimp dumplings had completely different textures between the two of us (one was hard, the other extremely soft), and nothing tasted good... The outdoor bath at night was so dark it felt dangerous, so we tried the indoor bath instead, but there was still grime left in the tub. There was also dust all over the indoor decorations. It seemed like local staff were hired part-time for security reasons, so I don’t intend to blame them—I believe management simply isn’t making an effort that matches this price. Okinawa has countless places with wonderful scenery, so I think management should stay at more places and learn from them. I truly love Okinawa, but this Accommodation left me feeling bad for a long time afterward.

    An Accommodation where you can feel close to nature

    Two large banyan trees towered powerfully in the courtyard, and when I looked up, I could even see the sky. Birds like brown-eared bulbuls perched on the roof sang freely with beautiful calls. From breakfast onward, I felt deeply relaxed. In the afternoon, the shoreline that had not been visible from our Room balcony appeared at low tide, and we were able to enjoy tidepooling a bit early in the season. However, while relaxing on the balcony and looking out at the sea, we were disappointed that our rest was disturbed by what seemed to be nearby Miibaru Beach—people being pulled by jet skis and shouting on banana boats. As for the Room we stayed in, it was compact but comfortable. It would have been even better if the air conditioner and toilet had been positioned more conveniently. This stay was to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday, and I noted this when making a Reservation through IKYU. However, unlike what other Reviews mention—such as celebratory messages or dessert plates—there were no thoughtful touches like that, which was disappointing. This Accommodation appears to have received awards such as Michelin Keys and World Luxury Hotel Awards; however, perhaps due to the front desk staff’s level of experience or ability—or a lack of communication among staff—I was surprised to see someone flustered over something as simple as confirming a taxi Reservation. Finally, on a positive note: both dinner and breakfast suited our taste and were delicious. Also, the restaurant service staff at dinner were friendly and very pleasant, allowing us to enjoy comfortable dining experiences on both nights.

    We’d love to stay here again!

    The private open-air bath was amazing! We were able to use it for over an hour. However, the sofa in the Room seemed worn out and wasn’t very comfortable, which was a bit disappointing. As for the meals, we didn’t need a large quantity, but we would have liked one more carefully prepared dish. There was a lot of sashimi... The sound of the waves, the birdsong, and the scenery were so soothing that we’d like to come again. If possible, next time we’d like to stay for two nights.

    An Accommodation You’ll Want to Visit Again

    I’ve stayed at various Hotels through IKYU, and this was the best experience I’ve had so far. I’ll never forget the views of the sea and sky from the open-air bath. Our Room was also a corner Room, with a view that felt like we had the ocean all to ourselves. I think it’s perfect for anyone who wants to relax in the bath and spend time gazing out at the sea. The only disappointment was that the amenities didn’t include makeup remover, and some hair care items (such as oil) were missing. It would have been even more convenient if there had been body lotion and makeup remover at the washing area by the open-air bath as well. I’d love to visit again next spring. Thank you for your hospitality.

    An Adults-Only Relaxing Staycation

    I stayed alone to celebrate my 60th birthday. I enjoyed a luxurious time in a Room with breathtaking ocean views and a kaiseki course based on Okinawan cuisine. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as a congratulatory message and a dessert plate. The meals were served as courses and set menus, and everything was delicious; they kindly adjusted the portion size (smaller) for me, so I could enjoy it all the way to the end. Since most guests are adults in small groups, the Accommodation is quiet and relaxing. I recommend it as a treat for yourself or for a stay for two with someone close. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again.

    It was truly moving to experience something so extraordinary.

    Enjoy breathtaking, unobstructed views. The scenery was truly memorable, with stunning sunsets and sunrises. There is a private open-air bath available, and by chance, we were able to see a shooting star. The meals were delightful, featuring local ingredients and dishes—a wonderful highlight for travelers. Having breakfast on the terrace while listening to the sound of waves was also a cherished memory. Thank you for providing such an extraordinary experience!

    The view is excellent, but the meals are disappointing.

    The building is not new, but it is very clean, and the view is stunning. The room's bath was lovely, but the sunrise from the private open-air bath on the rooftop was truly healing. On the other hand, the meals were quite disappointing. The dishes were autumn-themed, and while there was salmon roe with grated radish as an appetizer, the salmon roe was lukewarm and had a strong odor, which was unfortunate. It came in a sea urchin shell designed to resemble a chestnut burr; however, there were no sea urchins in that day's menu. What was that shell for... and where did its contents go? The rice felt dry as well. For breakfast, some dishes gave off an impression of being catered food. Additionally, noticeable stains on glasses stood out. As for service quality, some staff members were friendly while others seemed impersonal; this created an inconsistent experience. High-quality loungewear was provided for guests' comfort. Since it could also be worn at the restaurant during meals without worrying about attire too much, I might have been able to relax throughout my stay. Considering how unsatisfactory the meals were compared to their cost value makes me hesitant about staying here again.

    A Memorable Accommodation for Special Occasions

    This accommodation had always been of particular interest to us, and we finally stayed here for my husband's birthday. Everything was perfect—exceptional service, breathtaking views, and exquisite meals crafted with care. Truly the ultimate luxury experience. I believe anyone I recommend this place to would be absolutely delighted. The view from the terrace and the starry night sky were so stunning that we couldn't resist ordering wine through room service, despite knowing it was a bit pricey. We fully indulged in the luxurious atmosphere and ambiance. Done! We'll definitely return soon. Thank you so much for everything!

    Genius!

    We stayed for two nights as a couple. From the moment we made our Reservation, the service and suggestions were excellent. They handled our meal substitutions wonderfully, and the international staff were just as attentive as the Japanese staff. This is what a truly luxurious stay feels like.     Stayed in Okinawa South.

    Surprised by the lack of a hotel entrance! Also amazed by the scenery and the family bath facility. The attentive service was excellent. All meals are included, but for a couple with small appetites, it felt a bit heavy, and we couldn't finish everything. The fact that it's not a buffet is also appealing.

    I had a relaxing time.

    I am a resident of Okinawa. I stayed at the accommodation with my pregnant daughter, as traveling far was difficult. When we informed the staff about certain ingredients she couldn't eat due to her pregnancy, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness. I have visited several times, but unfortunately, it always rains when I use the open-air bath... I wanted to see the stars, but it was disappointing. I'll try again next time!

    The best Hotel ever.

    I have visited Okinawa many times, but this was my first time staying at this Hotel. I was a bit anxious before arriving, but from the moment we were escorted after arriving by car, everything exceeded my expectations. The Room was absolutely wonderful, far beyond what I had imagined. The meals were made with Okinawan ingredients and were impressively delicious. The view from the open-air bath was stunning, and I couldn't find any negative points. I will definitely stay here again next year! Thank you to all the staff!

    A few years ago, I stayed at this accommodation for a refreshing getaway. It was just a one-night stay, but I indulged in spa treatments for two days! (laughs) Despite the heavy rain, I was able to relax. I also ordered the lunch set along with other meals, making it three meals in total, and they were all delicious.

    We stayed here for our honeymoon.

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days for our honeymoon. The moment we entered the room, we were thrilled by the breathtaking ocean view. The cleanliness of the room and the well-equipped amenities made our stay stress-free and relaxing. The private open-air bath, which we could use as many times as we wanted, was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed a panoramic view of the ocean and spent a leisurely time without worrying about the clock. Meals were served with different menus on both days, and they were delicious and enjoyable. On the second day, we planned to leave early in the morning and considered canceling breakfast, but thanks to thoughtful staff arrangements, we were able to have it. The hospitality of all staff members was exceptional, making us truly glad that we chose this accommodation. If we ever travel to Okinawa again, this is definitely where we'd want to stay!

    Wonderful Accommodation

    We stayed at the accommodation for the first time as a group of three. The room was an Executive Suite, originally designed for two guests. Since we were three, a temporary bed was added to accommodate us. We had requested a room on the second floor or higher, as one of our companions was looking forward to enjoying the view. However, unfortunately, our room was on the far left facing the sea, with a wall blocking part of the view on one side. Perhaps other reservations had been made since it was only for one night, but combined with rainy weather and limited lighting from the accommodation itself, we couldn't fully enjoy the scenery—this remains a regretful point. The bath facilities were excellent and greatly satisfied my companions. I used it during its final hours and appreciated its open-air charm compared to our private bathroom in the room. For meals, we chose a standard plan and were very satisfied thanks to both their quality and staff's detailed explanations. Among them, dinner's soup stood out—it even pleased one companion who usually dislikes organ meats! Breakfast also offered generous portions that left us overly full. One downside is that smoking areas are limited to ashtrays placed at hallway ends; this could be improved upon as they lack seating while being insect-prone—making them uncomfortable spaces overall. Additionally given how isolated this location feels without nearby convenience stores etc., enhancing in-house events or shop offerings would enrich guest experiences further! Despite these points mentioned above though—the attentive service provided by staff ensures we'd gladly return someday!

    Okinawa Trip

    I had always wanted to stay at this accommodation when visiting Okinawa, and I finally had the chance this time. The location is excellent with great views, providing a very satisfying experience. Some of the dinner dishes felt a bit too salty or overly seasoned. The balcony and private bath showed slight signs of aging, but overall, it was a wonderful day where I could relax while gazing at the ocean and truly feel the essence of being in Okinawa.

    A space that embodies the spirit of Ryukyu.

    I stayed here last year and had a wonderful experience, so I returned this year. The atmosphere and space within the accommodation are excellent, offering a slow-paced and relaxing time with the sea right in front and the soothing sounds of birds. I also enjoyed delicious Okinawan cuisine. This accommodation allows you to enjoy both sunrise and sunset views.

    Finally stayed at the long-admired Hyakume Garan.

    I visit Okinawa several times a year to see my niece who lives in Naha. Years ago, I visited for lunch a couple of times and was deeply impressed by the atmosphere of the accommodation, the food, and the service provided by the staff. Since then, I had always dreamed of staying here someday. This time, my 10-year-long dream came true, and as expected, it was a wonderful hotel. My niece also said with delight, "This is one of my top three accommodations in Okinawa." I heard that an ultra-luxurious room with a private pool will be completed by the end of this year. While staying in that room might not be possible for me, I will work hard so that next time I can stay in a room with an open-air bath. The only downside was that while the scenic bath was excellent, there were times when ships were anchored offshore which made it slightly inconvenient. Also—this is just my personal preference—I noticed spider webs on some wooden railings which bothered me a little. Being in a tropical region means insects are inevitable; however, I'm particularly not good with spider webs—my apologies!

    Accommodation for Adults

    This is an accommodation for adults who wish to spend their time quietly. With only a few rooms, you rarely encounter other guests. **Positive Points** The explanations about the facility and room by the foreign staff were very clear and polite, leaving a good impression. The food was creative and quite delicious. The Kagoshima black wagyu fillet, in particular, was served on a hot stone grill, staying tender and warm for a long time—an excellent experience. The six private open-air baths are convenient as you can check their availability using the smartphone provided in your room. **Negative Points** I requested slippers without thongs for going out but was denied. In the private bath area, it seemed like you might be able to see into neighboring areas from certain spots on the terrace with the bathtub. For an adult-focused accommodation, there were very limited glass wine options (only one type each of red and white). At least one sparkling wine option would have been appreciated. Additionally, wine prices were extremely high.

    Overall, I had no major complaints, but a few points caught my attention. The blinds in the rooftop bath were very difficult to operate. A roller curtain might be smoother to use. Also, during the daytime, I felt uneasy as it seemed fully visible from the diving point on the sea. When calling for a taxi upon departure, although I informed the destination, the driver did not know where it was and remained parked in front of the Hotel for some time; assistance would have been appreciated. By the way, apps like DiDi show an estimated arrival time (e.g., 4 minutes), but no taxis were available even after ordering—this might be typical for this area and is something to keep in mind.

    The Beautiful Hyakuna Garan in the Rain

    A spontaneous 2-day, 1-night trip to Okinawa. I discovered Hyakuna Garan near Nanjo City, a place I had visited before, with the goal of spending a relaxing time. Even though it rained, it made me realize how beautiful rainy Okinawa can be. The view from the balcony, the sound of waves, raindrops, birds chirping and flapping their wings—there was no other noise. It was an incredible space that blended seamlessly with nature. At check-in, the explanation about the facilities was brief, and I only found out about access to the beach on my way back—which was slightly disappointing. However, everything else—the scenery, open-air bath, and hospitality—was exceptional. Next time I’d like to plan a Multiple Night Stay for an even more leisurely experience!

    A Different World

    Lose track of time while gazing at the beautiful shallow sea. The open-air bath on the top floor is exceptional. A one-of-a-kind accommodation blessed with an excellent location. I would love to visit again when I have the chance.
