    I would definitely love to stay at this accommodation again!

    This is an accommodation I strongly wish to stay at again. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff's service was outstanding. I was charmed by the personality of the gentleman (slightly older and somewhat comical) who handled our check-in. Relaxing in the lounge with desserts, drinks, and wine was fantastic—I wished we had arrived earlier! The spaciousness of the private family bath was impressive (it seems it used to be a large public bath). It was my first time trying a stone sauna, but thanks to the detailed explanation from a male staff member, I could enjoy it with peace of mind. I had concerns about encountering guests with poor manners from overseas; however, during our visit, there were no such issues as all guests were polite and respectful—no unpleasant experiences at all. Above all else, I deeply appreciated how they treated my 2-year-old daughter as an important guest. She seemed happy throughout our stay. As for the room itself, while it did feel slightly dated in appearance, it was clean and comfortable. Some may find its age noticeable; however, given how wonderful areas like the lounge on the first floor are, we will definitely return. The proximity between our room and smoking area concerned me initially; however, there seemed to be no users as there wasn’t any noticeable smell during our stay. The meals were delicious—I’d love to try them again in another season! What an amazing experience!

    Relaxing Accommodation

    I visit Fuefuki every year during peach season. I have stayed at various accommodations before, but this one was overall very comfortable. The staff's hospitality was pleasant, and the meals were delicious. The onsen and the activated stone bath were gentle on the skin, leaving it smooth and hydrated. I would love to stay at this accommodation again.

    A relaxing stay at a traditional Onsen Ryokan with a modern twist. Classic rooms paired with a contemporary lounge. One point of concern: the breakfast rice—was it freshly cooked? It was hard and partially clumped, possibly due to an error, which was disappointing.

    I had a very relaxing time.

    The accommodation offers various types of baths, and the highly recommended "Arashi no Yu" is like a stone sauna, making you sweat and feel great. The staff provides detailed guidance, so even first-timers or solo visitors can use it with ease. The meals were prepared efficiently, with delightful presentation, making both the food and drinks enjoyable. In the lounge, muffins were served in the evening, beer after the bath, and wine with curry at night, creating a fulfilling experience. Even though I was full, I couldn't resist having a bite of the curry. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable accommodation. Thank you very much.

    Completely satisfied with everything!

    I chose this accommodation because I was drawn to the stone sauna, and it completely won me over! The tatami flooring allowed for bare feet, and the lounge was so comfortable that I loved it from the moment I entered. The staff who explained everything were entertaining, leaving a great first impression of this wonderful accommodation. The room was spacious with a lovely atmosphere. Both the large public bath with alternating times for men and women and the "Arashi no Yu" stone sauna exceeded my expectations! I also used a private bath, which was incredibly spacious—I was amazed by being able to reserve such a large bath. Booking private baths via QR code is convenient and easy. Everything felt so good that I ended up trying various baths multiple times. The "Arashi no Yu" even helped relieve my mother's back pain—it warmed our bodies thoroughly, making us sweat in such a refreshing way. As for meals, dining in a private room while enjoying views of the garden side-by-side made for an unusual yet fun experience. The wine pairings and sake matched perfectly with each dish—we drank quite a bit (laughs). The attentive service we received throughout dinner made us feel truly cared for. Both dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and delicious—truly impressive! For breakfast dessert, we enjoyed pudding at the lounge while relaxing in comfort. This compact yet serene accommodation is truly exceptional! And above all else, every staff member provided outstanding hospitality—it’s an unforgettable place of warmth and care. I absolutely want to visit again!

    I stayed at the accommodation for my birthday. From the warm welcome at check-in to the meals and baths, everything made for a comfortable stay—thank you. The open-air bath in the room was wonderful, so I didn’t use the private bath, but the large public bath was also relaxing, especially with the healing stones that left a deep impression on me.     It was truly relaxing.

    We stayed in a room with an open-air bath to celebrate his birthday. It was a very lovely accommodation, including the atmosphere created by the staff! The private bath was also very relaxing, and we felt truly rejuvenated.

    We enjoyed the private bath.

    There are three types of private baths available, and reservations can be made online as long as there is availability. All reservation slots had plenty of openings, which was very convenient. With free drinks, late-night snacks, and a wide range of amenities, staying in the accommodation to relax seemed just as enjoyable as going out for sightseeing. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. It was a truly fulfilling trip. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    This place was truly amazing. The meals were delicious, and the baths were clean. We used one of the private Onsen baths available by reservation, and it was incredibly spacious—hard to believe it was free! The room we stayed in had a loft and was very spacious with a modern Japanese style, which we loved. The lounge was especially impressive. In addition to tea and coffee, they offered grape juice, beer, and cellar-aged wine—which was absolutely delicious. There were also time-limited offerings like curry for a late-night snack and handmade pudding in the morning. The lounge had a calm atmosphere with relaxing music playing in the background, making it an excellent space to unwind with its extensive free services. All the staff members were very polite, allowing us to enjoy our stay comfortably during this holiday break. Nowadays, accommodation prices are high everywhere; some Ryokans don’t even match their rates (like my first experience at Isawa Onsen booked through another travel site). However, among many Hotels out there this time we hit the jackpot! IKYU.com Hotels are always reliable. I would love to stay here again—and next time bring my mother along too! Thank you so much!

    Stayed during the middle of Golden Week. Room: Spacious and comfortable, allowing for a relaxing stay. Shoes are removed throughout the accommodation, including shared areas, enhancing relaxation. Service: Attentive to details with constant smiles, making conversations pleasant. Baths: High-quality large public baths, private baths, and in-room baths with a wide variety available. Suitable for families with small children as well. Facility: Well-equipped with stretch items and pillow rentals available in the room; drinks including coffee are plentiful in variety. Meals: A wide selection featuring seasonal vegetables, fish, and meat that were all very delicious.

    Stayed during the Golden Week as a couple. Completely satisfied with both the Facility and the staff's hospitality. The private bath available for 45 minutes free of charge and the drinks and late-night snacks in the lounge were particularly great.

    It was truly wonderful. I visit Isawa Onsen every year, and this time I chose this accommodation based on the star ratings on IKYU.com. The staff's attentiveness, the delicious meals, the room facilities, the jazz playing from records in the lounge, the furnishings, fresh flowers, and souvenir shop—all were satisfying. Having stayed at numerous luxury hotels ourselves, we can confidently say that this accommodation exceeded its price value in every aspect. We are glad to have found such a great place to stay. Please continue to elevate Isawa Onsen and keep up the good work!

    Accommodation with a Perfect Score

    It felt like a long time since I encountered an accommodation with perfect scores in all evaluation categories. What stood out the most was the luxurious room amenity set made of bamboo materials. I was surprised to be able to watch AbemaTV in the room. The entire facility had tatami flooring, creating a pleasant atmosphere without the need for slippers.

    The hot spring quality was excellent. However, the building, including the guest rooms, felt outdated, and both the meals and service were quite average. It did not seem to match the price.

    You can enjoy multiple Onsen.

    Positive Points Isawa Onsen was great as there were no inbound tourists. The room had an Onsen, and we enjoyed various facilities like the large public bath and stone sauna. The room was spacious and comfortable. The lounge was spacious, and the grape juice and morning pudding were delicious. Areas for Improvement While the current location of yukata is fine, towels and stone sauna wear should be placed closer to the large public bath. If forgotten, one has to go through the entrance to retrieve them. At check-in, kombucha may not suit everyone's taste; offering an alternative would be better. Meals For this price range, dinner was underwhelming. There wasn’t a standout main dish or a sense of local specialty uniqueness. Breakfast, however, was good. At check-in, despite having only a Boston bag in the trunk of our car when we arrived, no one helped carry our luggage (though they did assist on departure).

    Highly Rated Accommodation

    The medicinal stone bath and Onsen were, of course, perfect, as were the cuisine and service. Despite being a spacious accommodation, it doesn't have too many guest rooms, making it ideal for those looking to unwind from daily fatigue. I look forward to visiting again.

    We had a wonderful time.

    We planned a Multiple Night Stay at the campsite, but with snow forecasted for the second night, we made a same-day Reservation and stayed here. As mentioned in the Reviews, the kind hospitality, delicious food, skin-beautifying Onsen, and barefoot-friendly interior were all wonderful. We look forward to staying again!

    First family trip

    I went on my first Onsen trip to celebrate my son's first birthday, as I have relatives living in Minami-Alps City. Before our visit, we informed them that we had a one-year-old child, and they welcomed us warmly. The lounge was very spacious, and even when my son walked around everywhere, the staff interacted with us with smiles, leaving a very good impression. When we went to the Room, there was also a futon prepared for the baby, which left a great impression. We used the private bath and found it not too hot; it was at a temperature safe for children. The dining area was also in a private room where we could enjoy our meal calmly. The food was extremely delicious. I would definitely like to use this service again!

    The hospitality and meals are wonderful!

    This was my first time staying at the property. The messages in the room with lovely illustrations by the hostess and the menu for meals were so wonderful that I couldn't help but take them. Also, there were beautiful moss balls casually displayed throughout the facility, showcasing great taste. The service from all the staff was excellent, so I would like to visit again in a different season!

    It was great to relax with my family.

    It was great to enjoy post-Onsen beer, grape juice, and desserts after meals in the lounge. Our child found a favorite picture book, read it multiple times, and even borrowed it to take to the Room. The meals were generally delicious. Including the late-night curry and wine, the satisfaction level was high. It was a bit wasteful that the mixed rice from dinner was left over... The breakfast portion for the child was slightly too much. The open-air bath in the Room was incredibly pleasant. There were three private baths available, and being able to make a Reservation online was convenient. The largest private bath was truly spacious, allowing the family to relax comfortably. The stone sauna was also very enjoyable, though it was too much for our 5-year-old son. The water facilities in the Room and other Facility areas are quite old, so it doesn't feel extremely luxurious, but everything is well-maintained. The hairdryer and amenities provided were of good quality and thoughtfully arranged. The only thing I felt was that the towels in the Room could be a bit thicker. Although thinner towels do absorb water better. We came by train, enjoyed some local chicken giblets, played at a nearby park, relaxed in the Onsen, and went strawberry picking the next day before heading home. It was a fun Onsen trip. Thank you very much.

    Delicious food and good hot springs healed my eczema.

    A Stays where you can feel warmth from the moment you are welcomed at the entrance. You can sense attention to detail in the corridors and ceiling arrangements, and the presentation of the dishes is beautiful and enjoyable, and of course, delicious. In the lounge, you can enjoy records, and although I only spent a total of 20 minutes in the medicinal stone bath, I noticed that the eczema on my hands, which usually requires steroids in winter, has healed, and it's been a month now without needing medication. It's thanks to the good hot water and the dishes made with good ingredients. Next time, I will visit to fully enjoy the Property. (Please allow me to stay alone if possible!!)

    Used for a family trip.

    We stayed here for a family trip at the end of the year. The room had a loft, and the bath in the room was also an onsen, making our stay very comfortable! We appreciated the attention to detail, such as having coffee beans and a mill in the room. The onsen was great, especially the Arashi no Yu (rock bath?), which made us sweat more than a sauna and felt very refreshing. Dinner and breakfast were served in a semi-private room, and both the quantity and taste were healthy, which was well-received by our family. The staff maintained a perfect balance of distance and hospitality, which was excellent. Regardless of whether they were young or experienced, it was clear that the staff were well-trained, and I was genuinely impressed. Thank you for taking care of us. This is a property we would like to stay at again.

    High-level service in every aspect

    I thought the service was high-level in all aspects, including the Onsen, cuisine, and staff service. Three points left a strong impression on me. ① The meals were deeply crafted in every aspect and were very satisfying. Also, having dessert in the lounge during meals was a refreshing change and a wonderful idea. ② "Arashi no Yu" was different from typical stone saunas, as it involved lying on a bed of small stones like pebbles, which was very comfortable. ③ All the staff responded with a solid customer perspective, which was very favorable.

    The Facility and Roo...

    The Facility and Room were very old (on the contrary, the retro feel was very nice), but the service exceeded that, so it's 5 stars! All the staff we passed by were kind and greeted us, and although the dining service staff were new and inexperienced, they were fresh and earnest. The staff who assisted us with the stone sauna were particularly excellent in hospitality. I was impressed, thank you very much. I would definitely like to visit the group Ryokan as well.

    It was great to relax and unwind.

    We stayed at the property to relax on our 50th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere from the entrance was nice, but the ambiance inside and the kind words of the staff healed our hearts. The meals were leisurely enjoyed, and everything was truly wonderful. We talked about wanting to visit again someday.
