    Repeat Guests

    We use this Accommodation when visiting Spa Resort Hawaiians. It feels less crowded at check-in than Hawaiians. The Room has a raised tatami area with futons, so the kids can sleep safely and comfortably. There are also beds, so adults can sleep separately and relax. Being able to exchange towels and leave our luggage before and after our stay is very helpful. It’s a shame that the Onsen is closed during certain hours. The buffet food was about the same as always. There is now a return shelf, which made it nice to clear our own dishes while going to get more food. The soft drink option was apple sour and quite tart, which disappointed the kids.

    The Best Hotel for a Trip with Your Grandchild

    Thank you for taking care of us again this year, following last year. It’s a good Hotel. We stayed with three grandchildren on a two-meal plan. As we were leaving, they asked to come again next year. The only drawback is that it can be hard to make a Reservation.

    This was my first stay, and it exceeded my expectations. My grandchildren were thrilled. Everyone at the Hotel, including the bus drivers, was very kind. I would love to visit again.

    With the included Shuttle Service from central Tokyo, it was an easy and comfortable trip. At Monolith Tower, the Room was spacious and relaxing, and it was kept very clean. If I had to mention one thing, the area around the front desk on the 2nd floor felt a bit cluttered. The neighboring Hawaiians Hotel felt more spacious, with Hawaiian music playing as background music, which made it even more relaxing. There was also a wide variety of food options, which we really enjoyed. The show was wonderful as well. Since the stage is next to the pool, there was a noticeable chlorine smell and the air quality wasn’t great... The Onsen was also very good. I think it’s a great choice for families with children or for a girls’ trip. In any case, since Accommodation, transportation costs, and admission are all included, I felt it offered outstanding value for money. I’d like to visit again.

    For the water park.

    Thank you for your hospitality the other day. The Hotel itself was great, but I was disappointed with the water park. Even though it’s a water park, I didn’t expect there to be an additional fee to use the slides. It’s partly my fault for not checking the website carefully enough, but I still felt that guests staying at the Accommodation could have been given some special consideration.

    It was clean and spacious.

    It was not crowded as it was before Golden Week. Everyone greeted us with a smile, which was wonderful. They also replaced our towels several times. The Shuttle Service bus was very helpful.

    A very comfortable Hotel for using the pool

    The meals were delicious, and the Facility was clean, so I had a comfortable stay. I really appreciated being able to check in right after arriving by bus. Dinner was excellent, so breakfast fell slightly short in comparison, though it was still tasty. I would be even happier if I could take coffee back to my Room after breakfast. I also wish dinner time could be selected in advance rather than being assigned at check-in. The elevator capacity is completely insufficient for the number of guest rooms. I saw many people feeling discouraged as it stopped on each floor but they still couldn’t get on. Other than that, I was very satisfied with my stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

    As a Hotel,

    The Hotel’s hospitality still left me dissatisfied. It was nice that they would store my luggage when I arrived early, but they wouldn’t bring it to my Room. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, the meals did not change. To replace a wet bath towel, I had to go to the front desk each time. Even when passing staff in the hallway, there was no greeting (though everyone was kind when spoken to). After checking out, I took the bus to the station, but despite staff being present, there was no send-off. There are many areas where service could be improved. The food felt like it was trying too hard to be “Hawaiian,” and I would have preferred local Iwaki specialties such as fresh seafood and fruit. Facilities other than the Hotel showed noticeable aging. I heard management has changed and that a major renovation is underway. I hope they continue to value the dancers, shows, and Onsen, and I look forward to both the property and service being renewed.

    My Daughter’s Favorite

    I traveled here with my 7-year-old daughter six months ago and loved it so much that this time my husband joined us. The space, updated since I last visited 25 years ago through a company benefit program, is truly fun and exciting. We played to our heart’s content in the slider pool, refreshed ourselves in the free-flowing Onsen (great water quality!), and enjoyed a delicious buffet meal! And at night, the Polynesian show. This isn’t Hawaii, but to me it will always be the forever Joban Hawaiian Center (meant as a compliment). It’s a place that makes you feel at ease. My mother (in her 70s), who was supposed to stay with us this time, couldn’t make it due to scheduling issues, so we plan to return again soon. That’s how enjoyable this place is. What’s great about Monolith Tower The Room is clean, the large public bath is also clean, and the food is delicious. (Both Hawaiian dishes and local specialties are excellent!) When making your Reservation, if you request a “lower floor,” you won’t get frustrated waiting for elevators. Using the stairs and escalators makes it stress-free. We’ll be back.

    First Trip with My Grandchild

    About 20 years ago, I visited Hawaiians with my mother-in-law and my sons, and this time I was able to travel there with my 5-year-old grandchild. I had my sons watch the movie “Hula Girls,” so everyone was truly moved by the show. The Hotel arranged connecting rooms for us, and we really enjoyed our time together as a family. The food was delicious with a great variety, and we enjoyed both the pool and the Onsen for two days—“Hawaii without getting on a plane” was simply wonderful. My grandchild keeps asking to go again once they’re tall enough to ride the slides. We’ll be back again. Thank you very much.

    Perfect for families with children

    The town where I grew up is still a joy to visit. I came with my grandchild, and it was wonderful. I may be biased, but everyone’s hospitality was truly outstanding. It had been 30 years, but from now on I’d like to return as often as time allows.

    Even with six of us over 70, we had a wonderful time.

    We chose this place because we could get there by round-trip bus, stay six people in one Room, and enjoy the hula show—and we ended up having even more fun than expected. Using a coupon booklet, we tried the two-person tube ride and Big Aloha as well. We floated down the lazy river many times and warmed up in the jacuzzi. It was great that we could use it for two days, there were plenty of Facilities, we could watch shows both day and night, and towels could be exchanged multiple times. Wearing matching in-house muumuus and aloha shirts, we enjoyed a senior “mini school trip.” After going down Big Aloha, I lost my balance at the end, and a young man helped me—everyone is very grateful. I would like the ladder to the top bunk bed to be set at a slightly gentler angle.

    First Family Trip to Hawaiians

    We booked the last room during the busy winter holiday season because our children wanted to go. The facility was new and excellent. We were initially concerned about reviews mentioning long waits for elevators to higher floors, but we didn’t have to wait that long. The room had futons laid out on a raised floor area, which allowed our children to sleep safely and comfortably. The separate loungewear provided was convenient, and we appreciated being able to exchange towels at the front desk. However, the slippers provided were standard ones; footwear with heels like Crocs would be more practical for walking to the pool, especially for kids. The air conditioning in the room could be freely adjusted, which was great. The meals included Hawaiian dishes, local specialties from Fukushima, udon noodles, pho, and more—all of which were enjoyable. Plates were cleared promptly after eating—a helpful touch. It would have been nice if apple juice was available at the drink bar since vinegar-based drinks are not suitable for children. Massage services at Yoichi were fully booked; however, staff kindly informed us that Morinos might have availability. We managed to get a treatment there even on short notice and used coupons as well. The large public bath at Morinos featured ReFa showerheads—it had an unusual design but was spacious and new with no issues overall. It would be helpful if there were printed guides not only for Morinos' hours but also for other facilities in Hawaiians Hotel since we wanted to visit their café. We thoroughly enjoyed Hawaiians' pools both on arrival day and the next day. Being able to use loungewear and towels again on the second day was very convenient. We’d love to visit again in another season—thank you so much!

    Good.

    Stayed at Monolith with the kids from December 26th. It was a good experience. The pool was quite cold in winter, as expected. It’s definitely more enjoyable during warmer seasons. We watched the evening hula dance show with the cheapest seats reserved, and even from the second floor, it was great. I wasn’t particularly interested in hula dancing, but I felt it’s a must-see when visiting Hawaiians. After the show ended, one of the performers came out to greet us in the hallway, which left a strong impression on me. Since my child said they want to visit again, we’ll definitely come back!

    It exceeded expectations.

    We stayed as a group of six friends. The buffet dishes were elaborate, and the dinner offered a wide variety of main courses, all of which were delicious! The fruits and vegetables were abundant, leaving us very satisfied. The rice was also excellent. The Room and bath were spacious and comfortable. Although there are only two elevators, making it difficult to use them during busy times, the Hawaiian music playing throughout the facility and the friendly atmosphere created by the staff made our stay very pleasant. I never knew Hawaiians was such a wonderful place! We will visit again! Thank you for everything.

    We had a wonderful time as a couple.

    This was my second visit since February 2017, and I thoroughly enjoyed the renewed buffet and water slides. The late-night izakaya offering horse sashimi and Japanese sake provided a relaxing experience, leaving me completely satisfied. The convenient bus transportation both to and from the location was also a great plus. I would love to visit again!

    Main Pool

    We mainly used the facility for children's pool activities. While I was just supervising, the kids seemed to enjoy the slides and Onsen. The evening hula and fire dance performances were great, especially when they brought the children on stage—it became a memorable experience. The buffet offered a variety of soul food and local dishes, which was nice. However, some dishes didn’t specify their ingredients. It would be helpful if there were brief descriptions about what’s in them to encourage trying new foods. Instead of offering too many options from Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines, a smaller selection of carefully chosen warm dishes would be appreciated. The rice was delicious; focusing on side dishes that pair well with it could also work. There are no outlets near the bed area, but an extension cord was provided in the drawer. It would be helpful if information about pool usage and luggage management were available on your website or elsewhere for better clarity. Keep up the good work!

    There were handprint...

    There were handprints on the acrylic board in the Room, and the chair seat was dirty, which concerned me. My grandchild slightly cut their foot on the bottom of the lazy river, so I would appreciate it if repairs could be made. The shower in the bath leading to the outdoor pool only had cold water, and it took a long time for hot water to come out. The meals at Monolith Tower were delicious, and even my usually light-eating grandchild enjoyed seconds with delight. The staff's service was very polite as well. Thank you for allowing us to spend a wonderful time with my grandchild. We look forward to using your services again!

    It was my first time...

    It was my first time, but I was very satisfied. The room was spacious and clean, and the onsen was also large and well-maintained with plants like anthuriums, giving it an open-air bath feel which was great. The meals were elaborate with a wide variety of dishes to enjoy. The show was good as well, but the venue felt hot; it would have been better if it were cooler. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the daytime show because it was too hot. I had a hamburger at Palm, but the fries were cold and hard; I wish they had been freshly made. The shuttle service bus felt narrow but comfortable overall. It was difficult to get through by phone when making reservations or inquiries; increasing staff or improving this process would be appreciated. Although it was just one night, I had a wonderful time staying here. Thank you very much!

    We revisited to celebrate my daughter's birthday as per her request. Thank you for the lei gift at check-in! The bath at this Hotel is excellent, and I love the quality of the hot spring water. I was able to relax again this time. Unlike last time, I didn't feel any stress from waiting for the elevator to arrive. As long as my daughter keeps requesting, we would love to visit again.

    Hawaiians 60th Anniversary

    The resort is connected to the spa via an indoor walkway. If you use the bath towels from your room at the pool or elsewhere, you can exchange them at the front desk. Additionally, in-house wear, sandals, and portable bags can be used even after check-out, which is very convenient.

    It was excellent.

    We visited for Onsen use only as a group of three friends of 30 years. We initially thought it was a Facility for younger people, but it was an eye-opener. The Room, meals, the large public bath in the Hotel, and even the Onsen at the spa resort were all thoroughly enjoyable. We promised to come back again!

    Room

    The room is clean, but the outlet is not located next to the bed, making it inconvenient to use. I was handed the key at 1:00 PM and told to wait until check-in at 1:30 PM, but there was no seating area in the lobby. Where are guests supposed to wait? Considering the shuttle service schedule and non-peak seasons, why can't guests be allowed into their rooms 30 minutes earlier? This would be understandable if preparations were not complete. The pool access key is made of paper, which seems impractical for pool use. Additionally, the room key is not a card type, so it cannot be taken to the pool. There are also too few chairs in the lobby. However, I appreciate that check-out can be done from 7:00 AM.

    I stayed at Monolith Tower, and the room was spacious and clean. Above all, the buffet was delicious. Although it mentioned having a Polynesian theme, I was surprised to find Bunya, a traditional dish from the South Pacific! The flavor was light and Japanese-style, but it was very tasty.

    First Time at Hawaiians

    Stayed at the Hawaiians for a birthday celebration. The Monolith Tower is relatively new, and the Hawaiian-themed room was great. The futon-on-raised-floor style was convenient for families with children. The breakfast and dinner buffets had slightly different menus even during a multiple night stay. The whole cake was reasonably priced and delightful. While some parts of the facility are old, it is well-maintained and clean. We’d like to visit again when our child grows tall enough to ride the slides. There were relatively few international guests, giving it a nostalgic atmosphere.

    It's excellent.

    First of all, the show was indescribably amazing. I didn't expect to be so captivated and only thought about watching it if I stayed, but I was completely hooked. I'll definitely repeat! The hotel's buffet was delicious, and the room was spacious! The cost performance was excellent, and I'm very satisfied. After returning home, I watched "Hula Girls" to relive the experience.

    Satisfaction is relatively low.

    Compared to other properties listed on IKYU, this property lacks a sense of luxury and hospitality, making it unlikely for guests to want to return. Upon investigating the sources of dissatisfaction and low satisfaction levels, it seems that the value of the experience received does not match the price paid. While it's difficult to generalize due to long weekends and recent increases in accommodation costs, for a stay exceeding 100,000 yen per night: - The pool, which is supposed to be a selling point, is overcrowded - Meals are buffet only - Rooms are ordinary The visitor fee for the pool should be higher. This would reduce crowding. Even if accommodation becomes more expensive as a result, I would like them to provide a resort feel that matches the price. It stands apart from other good properties listed on IKYU.

    We used the Monolith...

    We used the Monolith Tower with my daughter's family (ages 5 to 72). It was our first time using it, but with the facility guide, everyone could enjoy regardless of age. For meals during playtime, I think it's good to check information in advance as it allows for effective use of time. The staff's response was pleasant in every situation, and we were satisfied with both the meals and facilities. We were able to spend meaningful time with my daughter's family after a long time. However, regarding meals, while dinner had a satisfying menu for children (mild curry, salmon roe bowl, nuggets, hamburger steak, yakisoba noodles, dessert etc.), breakfast was disappointing. The curry was only spicy; there were several types of bread but no pancakes or nuggets that children would enjoy. I hope they will consider improving this aspect a bit more. When we departed, the staff stopped their work to come out and see us off; my daughter's family was impressed by this thoughtful gesture. We would like to use it again; thank you for your hospitality.
