    I was very satisfied...

    I was very satisfied with how relaxing and peaceful it was. This was my second stay, and it’s a place I want to come back to again and again. The staff were very kind, and I had a comfortable stay.

    Girls’ Trip Reunion

    I stayed here on a girls’ trip with friends from the same class more than 40 years ago. We made a Reservation because we wanted to relax, enjoy delicious meals, and chat. We were very satisfied with both the pearl bath and dinner and breakfast. The cheesecake served with the welcome drink was also delicious. However, all four futons were laid out side by side, which felt a bit cramped, so we moved them ourselves (laugh). It would have been nice to have a little more thought put into the layout.

    The pearl bath is wonderful.

    Stayed overnight after visiting Ise Jingu (Geku). Conveniently located near Toba Station. Enjoyed Ise lobster sashimi on Sazae Street. Mikimoto Pearl Island is also close by. The Pearl Bath felt luxurious and seemed great for the skin. The next day, after breakfast, it was a 20-minute drive to Ise Jingu (Naiku). Since it was a holiday, we arrived before the parking lots filled up and were able to visit at a relaxed pace.

    The meals are delicious.

    All the staff were very friendly. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The pearl bath was soothing and beautifully shimmering. It was also nice to be able to use Mikimoto cosmetics. I wish I could have taken the lounge coffee back to my Room. It would be great if paper cups were available. The meals were so good that this has become one of the Accommodations I’d like to visit again.

    A Hotel with Heartwarming Hospitality and Spectacular Views: Toba International Hotel

    Four of us took a 3-night, 4-day trip to Toba and chose Toba International Hotel Shiojitei as our Accommodation. What surprised us right after arrival was that the front desk staff greeted us by name immediately. Perhaps we were the last guests to check in that day, but their thoughtful attention truly impressed us. The Hotel is very close to Toba Aquarium, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Not only the front desk team but also the restaurant staff were consistently kind and attentive, so we enjoyed a comfortable stay throughout. One highlight was the evening “roasted marshmallow” activity—this is an experience you should not miss! Since it was my first time roasting marshmallows, there was even a moment when a pure white marshmallow flared up and turned completely black, but that only became part of the fun memories of the trip. If I had to mention one small regret, it would be that the room cleaning felt slightly less thorough than expected. This may simply be my personal impression, but it was the only point that stood out. Even so, overall satisfaction was very high, and if I visit Toba again, I would definitely choose Shiojitei again. Four of us went on a 3-night, 4-day trip to Toba and stayed at Toba International Hotel Shiojitei as our Accommodation. Something surprising happened upon arrival—the staff immediately called out the name on our reservation! We thought it might have been because we were the last guests to arrive that day, but their attentiveness still left a strong impression. The Hotel is very close to Toba Aquarium, making its location excellent for sightseeing. In addition to the front desk staff, everyone in restaurant service was professional and friendly as well, which made our stay very enjoyable. I especially recommend the evening roasted marshmallow activity—this is an experience you absolutely shouldn’t miss! For someone who had never roasted marshmallows before, watching a white marshmallow accidentally catch fire by the flames and turn black was both funny and unforgettable. The only minor downside was that room cleaning didn’t feel quite thorough enough; however, this may just be my personal impression. Even so, our overall stay was still great—if we travel to Toba again next time, I will definitely choose Shiojitei again.

    Even though we stayed for just one night, we were able to relax and unwind.

    First, these days I often feel that many places are struggling to hire staff, but it was wonderful to see so many team members here—attentive everywhere, from the welcome and guidance to the Room, to the dining venue. During my stay, there was nothing at all that concerned me, and I was truly able to relax. Thank you very much.

    The food was delicious.

    Late check-in is available with dinner, making it perfect for a short trip after work. While the dinner portions are not as large compared to other Ryokan in Toba, every dish made with carefully selected ingredients from Mie Prefecture was delicious. The Diamond Member benefit included a piece of tuna sushi, which was high-quality and very satisfying. There were several other Diamond Member perks that added great value to the stay. The baths include an Onsen and a Pearl Bath, both offering excellent water quality. The Pearl Bath is especially recommended—it leaves your skin shimmering like pearls after bathing. Additionally, complimentary roasted marshmallows and coffee were available in the lobby for guests to enjoy. Thanks to the extended check-out time offered as part of the benefits, we could visit Toba International Hotel for lunch at just the right time on the following day.

    The pearl open-air bath was absolutely amazing.

    I reconsidered a solo trip to Ise at the end of the year and was looking forward to experiencing the famous Pearl Open-Air Bath. The Japanese-modern Room was very clean, and even though it was a large public bath, staff frequently cleaned areas like the changing room, making it very hygienic and comfortable to use. However, since it was during the year-end period, there were many families with children. If you mistimed your visit to the bath, children's voices echoed throughout both the bath area and changing room. Late at night or early in the morning, I could enjoy almost a private bathing experience and relax fully. Breakfast was also delicious; however, due to poor timing on my part again, children's running and shouting made it feel like dining in a chain Japanese restaurant. Inside my Room or when adjusting my bathing times or during checkout hours, I could spend time quietly without disturbance. For those who wish for a calm and relaxing stay, I recommend visiting during off-peak seasons or adjusting your schedule accordingly. The Pearl Open-Air Bath was truly breathtaking!

    Stay for at least 2 nights.

    The breakfast was excellent, and the bath and its amenities were delightful, making for a comfortable stay. While the Facility's age is noticeable upon close inspection, its 2024 renovation ensures a pleasant and serene experience at this Hotel. One advantage—and perhaps a drawback—is its proximity to Toba Aquarium and Ise Shrine. With a late check-in, early check-out, and only breakfast utilized during this visit, we couldn't fully enjoy the Hotel's offerings. For those aiming to explore nearby attractions while also savoring the Hotel experience, staying for at least two nights is recommended. Despite the short stay, both breakfast and cake were outstanding. If time allowed, I would have loved to explore the surrounding area. To provide balanced feedback: it was slightly unclear from the pamphlet whether body spa services are available at this Hotel or Toba International Hotel (though careful reading reveals that treatments are conducted at "Toba International Hotel"). The pearl bath was fantastic; however, if there are two tubs available (a circular tub and a rock tub), perhaps more variation in water temperature could be considered? The circular tub felt cooler but still slightly hot for long soaks—likely due to shared use with guests of Toba International Hotel.

    Premium Onsen and Accommodation Experience

    This is my second visit to Shioritei. It is my favorite Onsen in Japan. My family and I love the Pearl Onsen. The facility offers complimentary coffee and a marshmallow roasting activity, popular with both children and adults, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, which you can enjoy before or after your evening Onsen bath.

    Used annually for Ise Shrine visits

    This time, I stayed here during an early year-end visit to Ise. I was thoroughly satisfied with the heartfelt service from the staff, delicious cuisine, and the Onsen that left my skin feeling smooth. It was a wonderful way to conclude the year.

    Year-End Party for the Elderly Couple

    This year marks our 50th wedding anniversary. We decided to visit Shioritei near Kintetsu Toba Station. A limousine bus took us from the station in just 5 minutes, and upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with coffee and cheesecake in a lobby overlooking the bay. After relaxing from our journey, we were guided to our Room and later enjoyed a soothing soak in the large public bath. Following that, we had a delicious meal together in a private dining room. It was a wonderful way to end the year. Thank you very much!

    The entrance and facade were the most impressive.

    The staff at the Ryokan are friendly and kind with warm smiles. However, while the meals are not bad, they may lack the satisfaction of enjoying truly delicious food during a trip. Unfortunately, there were some dishes we left uneaten (which we really didn’t want to do). It might be beneficial for the management to study meals offered at other Ryokans. For a total price of 109,142 yen for two people, this experience feels lacking. If it’s expensive, it should come with high satisfaction; if not, then the price should be more affordable. As guests who value our rare vacation time and dining experiences, we hope this sentiment is understood.

    The Room and the food were excellent.

    The staff's hospitality was excellent, making us feel truly welcomed. The meals were so delicious that we ended up finishing everything, even though the portions seemed large at first. The open-air bath in the large public bath was sparkling and absolutely wonderful! It's a must-experience during your stay.

    The meals were delicious.

    The meals were absolutely delicious! The portions were quite large, and I regret not being able to finish the seasoned rice at the end. The cheesecake served upon arrival was also very tasty. The IKYU Diamond benefits were plentiful, including borrowing comfortable samue wear and an additional dish for the meal, which made me very happy. The staff's service was exceptional in every way, and their warm smiles were delightful. As expected, the Room's view was a bit disappointing, but I appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, such as a ReFa hairdryer in the Room. The attention to detail in their services was impressive. The pearl bath I had been looking forward to was also very relaxing. If I could spend more time in the Room, choosing one with a better view would make this Ryokan perfect!

    I would love to visit again.

    This year, for our annual trip with mom friends, we visited the long-awaited Ise Jingu Shrine. We stayed at this Hotel in Toba. The renovated interior was clean and stylish. The Room, though older, was well-cleaned and comfortable. Above all, the meals were not buffet-style but individually served, making both dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. Thank you to the staff for your heartfelt hospitality!

    Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and delicious meals.

    The view from the Hotel was excellent, especially from the lounge. I also visited the upper Hotel, but this one had a stunning ocean view with islands clearly visible, which was equally impressive. The food was delicious, and dinner portions were so generous that I couldn't finish it all. Breakfast had a more manageable portion size, and I finished it completely. This is a Ryokan I would love to visit again.

    Meal times are inconvenient.

    The meals were delicious, but having dinner from 8 PM for two hours was disappointing. It was unfortunate that the earlier time slots were fully booked, and we couldn't start around 7 PM instead. Late dining is unhealthy, and it ruined the experience of enjoying such wonderful food. It was very disappointing.

    Chorotei, the main building, and the dining area offered warm and heartfelt hospitality. The meals were creatively inspired by Italian cuisine, but simpler dishes might be easier to enjoy. It felt different from before. The bed-making in the Room had uneven placement of the tatami mat overlay. The bath keys were inconsistent, giving a public bath-like impression.

    Dining Shiraishi was excellent.

    Despite a late check-in, the staff kindly accommodated dietary restrictions due to medical treatment even on the same day. We were able to enjoy wonderful meals with our family, making it a heartwarming trip. A truly excellent accommodation.

    I used Asama.

    I stayed as a solo guest. Upon parking, I was greeted near the entrance of the accommodation after parking in the unmanned lot. After check-in, I enjoyed cheesecake and tea. The view from the room was not bad, but since it faced a road with frequent traffic, it felt difficult to leave the windows open. The accommodation was more casual than I had expected in various ways. The hotel staff were kind and helpful. Dinner is slightly more expensive for solo guests, but the freshness and taste were excellent, so I was satisfied. Thank you very much!

    Starting with the welcome cheesecake, this Ryokan offers exceptional hospitality. Each dish at dinner was prepared with great care and was truly delicious. The glowing skin after the pearl bath added to the wonderful experience, and all the staff were outstanding. I would love to stay here again when visiting Ise Jingu Shrine.

    Family Trip

    Due to the unfortunate rain, we couldn't fully enjoy sightseeing on our first family trip and arrived at the Hotel earlier than planned, but thank you for welcoming us warmly. We were able to relax in the Room, and the food was delicious.

    Used for a moms' gathering.

    We stayed here for a girls' trip. The building itself is not new, but it was very well-maintained and clean. The outdoor pearl bath was set at a low temperature, allowing for long soaks, leaving our skin glowing and feeling wonderful afterward. Additionally, the accommodation provided reliable support regarding food allergies, which gave us peace of mind. We would definitely love to stay here again on our next trip to the Toba area!
