    We offer warm hospitality.

    This was my first summer stay on my fifth visit. The hospitality has improved year by year, and I was able to relax. The portions at meals felt slightly smaller, but the food was carefully prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, the baths were crowded with guests from an international Hotel and inbound visitors from Asia, and poor manners meant I couldn’t relax in the open-air bath. The Room cleaning was thorough, but I think more detailed checks are needed—such as slow drainage in the sink, dust on the air-conditioning vents, and a cleaning indicator on the air purifier. For those reasons, I rated it four stars. I’ll be back to enjoy wine and cuisine at a leisurely pace again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    We were able to see the fireworks perfectly.

    It happened to be the season when fireworks were held every night over Toba Bay, and during dinner the Ryokan staff kindly let us know it was about to start, so we were able to watch. The fireworks were bigger than expected and very impressive. The open-air bath was also very relaxing. A fine mist came down from the roof, which kept my face nicely moisturized and prevented dryness, which I appreciated. Dinner was delicious across the board. However, it was very disappointing that at breakfast the rice and tonjiru miso soup were served lukewarm. It felt like they had been dished up earlier and brought out after some time had passed. Aside from that point at breakfast, everything else was great.

    The aurora bath is amazing.

    Whenever I visit Ise, I always make sure to stay here. The service is courteous and excellent. The meals are especially outstanding. I enjoyed the Aurora bath many times and felt completely refreshed. I will definitely be back.

    A calm and relaxing accommodation

    I stayed here with my mother in her 80s. From the moment we arrived, we felt thoughtful attention to detail, and it left a wonderful impression. Enjoying a delicious cheesecake while looking out at the ocean was lovely, and we ended up relaxing in the lobby for quite a while. We stayed in two Japanese-style Rooms, which were spacious and comfortable, and the futons were exceptionally cozy. In the evening, there were unexpected activities like roasting marshmallows and watching fireworks, which became great memories. We only had breakfast, but it was elegantly seasoned with light flavors and generously featured ingredients from Mie Prefecture—everything was delicious. The portion size was just right. The baths were kept very clean, and all of them—including the open-air bath and pearl bath—were truly relaxing. The staff’s courteous service also made a great impression. We chose Shiojitei to celebrate my mother’s full recovery, and I’m glad she enjoyed it. I would definitely like to stay again!

    An Accommodation You’ll Want to Visit Again

    From the warm welcome at the entrance to check-in, everything was very smooth—thank you for the wonderful hospitality! There were various Room types, so we contacted you in advance and chose one, and it was even more comfortable than expected. The ocean view from both the Room and the in-room bath was amazing! Our main purpose this time was the sauna and open-air bath, and both were very comfortable as well. You can’t see the ocean from the open-air bath, but mist coming down from the roof—was that to help keep things cool? It was a lovely touch. While looking out at the beautifully maintained garden and watching the mist drift in the breeze, we thoroughly enjoyed both baths: a hotter rock bath and a cooler round pearl bath. After bathing, there were vending machines with local ice cream and yogurt, which were delicious! In the lobby, it seems there is also a nighttime marshmallow-roasting experience, and during summer there are nightly consecutive fireworks over Toba Bay. Unfortunately they were canceled due to strong winds this time, which was very disappointing. All of your staff were kind and courteous, everything was impeccably clean, and it became a wonderful memory for us. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again! Thank you very much!

    I stayed here during the hot weather in early August.

    I stayed here during the peak summer heat.\nThe air conditioning worked very well throughout the Accommodation, and I had a comfortable stay. All the staff were friendly and easy to talk to.\nThe amenities were not excessive, showing consideration for the environment. Thanks to the upgraded dinner plan, the meal was delicious and I enjoyed some drinks as well. Unfortunately, breakfast was below my expectations.\nThe shop staff were pleasant, and I was able to buy an accessory I really liked.\nThank you for taking care of me.

    A Blissful Onsen Gourmet Getaway

    Friends who were close to a dear friend we lost too soon gathered together. We arrived in Toba after visiting Ise Shrine the day before. We enjoyed delicious cheesecake while looking out at the sea, then soaked in a hot bath and felt refreshed and purified. The open-air Pearl Bath also had a wonderful atmosphere and was very relaxing. The carefully selected, delicate cuisine was truly outstanding, and we were all deeply impressed. Thanks to you, it became a blissful Onsen gourmet trip. Let’s come again, E-chan! E-chan Group

    I was really looking...

    I was really looking forward to the food… but each dish lacked distinct character, and there wasn’t much of that creative, unexpected flavor that makes you excited about what will come next. It also felt like there were too many courses, and I couldn’t finish everything enjoyably. I feel that Japanese-Western kaiseki suits me better right now. Breakfast also somehow felt rather old-fashioned.

    Highly satisfied

    We took a 1-night, 2-day trip to Toba and Ise. After arriving, we enjoyed the Toba International Hotel’s complimentary cheesecake and cold tea service, and the female staff’s warm, smiling hospitality left us very satisfied. The bath, Room, and breakfast were all excellent—this Accommodation exceeded its price in every way. It has become one of the few Accommodations we truly want to stay at again.

    We had a very relaxing stay.

    Thank you for accommodating my request when I stayed after a night shift and laying out the futon right away so I could sleep at any time. Thanks to that, once I entered the Room, I was able to relax comfortably without worrying about when the futon would be prepared. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed for two nights, and it was quiet and not hectic at all, so we were able to relax very comfortably. The food was even better than expected and delicious. As an IKYU Diamond member benefit, we received a MIKIMOTO face mask, and at dinner we were also given an additional dish on both nights; we were very satisfied with the quality as well. The cheesecake we received at check-in was so good that we bought a whole one as a souvenir. We would love to visit again.

    This is my second stay.

    I first stayed at Toba International Hotel, and I loved the sparkling bath so much that I have been staying at Shiojitei since last year. I was happy that the hair dryer had been upgraded to ReFa. However, I believe the amenities used to be MIKIMOTO, and it was disappointing to see they had changed, so I deducted one star. Still, considering the current situation, it can’t be helped. Breakfast was as delicious as ever and very filling, so I was completely satisfied! They also accommodated my preferred timing for laying out the futon, which allowed me to rest smoothly. The service and cleanliness are excellent. I would like to stay again and can recommend this Hotel.

    We stayed with two b...

    We stayed with two babies and a pregnant guest. When we mentioned that the pregnant guest couldn’t eat raw foods, they kindly accommodated our last-minute request with an alternative menu. At dinner, they also looked out for the babies, provided a baby carrycot, prepared hot water for formula, and warmed up baby food, which was a big help. All the staff smiled and waved to the babies, which made us very happy. It was our first trip with the babies, and it became a wonderful memory.

    A blissful Accommodation.

    The Diamond Member perk of a private-car Shuttle Service to Toba Station creates a blissful moment that makes saying goodbye to the Accommodation even more bittersweet. I recall that the Shuttle Service used to be by private car, but even having it for departure only is more than effective. And on a Multiple Night Stay, the dinner bonus dish was also wonderful: tuna nigiri sushi on the first night and grilled turban shell in its shell on the second night—both favorites that truly moved me. The Room feels a bit aged, but above all, dust on the air-conditioning vents and ventilation grilles is unacceptable. I noticed it while rinsing my mouth at the washbasin and saw it in other areas as well, so why not include this in your cleaning routine?

    I’m satisfied.

    I really enjoyed my first stay with you in February, so I decided to stay at your Accommodation again this time. My main purpose is to relax at the Accommodation, so comfort, delicious meals, and the friendly staff are what matter most to me (and of course, a good value is always appreciated). Sightseeing isn’t my goal, so whenever I feel like taking it easy for a while, I’d love to come and stay here again.

    Girls’ Trip

    The welcome and hospitality in the lobby were excellent. The Onsen opens from 6:00 a.m., so when I went after 6:00, it was crowded. Also, since the Onsen benefits were not listed, I wondered, “Is it really an Onsen?” The Room was clean, and the meals were delicious.

    Japanese hospitality

    After visiting Ise Grand Shrine, we arrived at this Facility after dinner. The staff kindly came outside to the entrance with a cart to welcome us. The guidance at the front desk, the assistance at the entrance to the breakfast venue, and the explanations of each dish were all attentive and very pleasant. The Japanese-style breakfast was wonderful in both presentation and content, and absolutely delicious. When we departed, they even held an umbrella for us in the rain until we got into our car. It was a stay that truly moved us with Japanese hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    My Regular Accommodation

    This time I enjoyed a dinner featuring spiny lobster and abalone, and everything from the first course onward was delicious. In addition to the pleasure of the pearl bath, my expectations for dining alone were high, and I was very satisfied. Because the dining area is a private room, I can enjoy my meal without worrying about others—one of the reasons this has become my regular Accommodation. Thanks to the kind service from the Hotel staff, and an environment where I can enjoy both meals and the Onsen in a yukata, it’s truly appreciated for someone like me who wants to relax and enjoy Hotel life at a leisurely pace. I look forward to staying with you again.

    There are two types ...

    There are two types of baths, an Onsen and a Pearl Aurora bath. I’m not sure which one provided the benefits, but my skin stayed smooth until about two days later. Meals were served in private dining rooms, and I also liked that breakfast was not buffet-style. Dinner was delicious as well. I couldn’t see at night, but it was nice to be able to look out over the garden. I appreciated being able to adjust the air conditioner temperature (many places with centralized systems only allow fan speed adjustment). I understand the building is getting old, so it may be unavoidable, but: One of the light control switches next to the bed in the Room was a bit loose. Wrinkles on the wallpaper along the recessed ceiling side panels stood out to me. The passage beside the twin beds (on the washbasin side) leading down toward the toilet area is narrow. The lid on top of the Western-style toilet tank seems loose, and sometimes when sitting down I noticed rattling/creaking noises from around that area. There are far too few chairs in front of the Onsen; if someone is seated waiting for another person to come out, you end up having to stand while drinking milk or similar drinks. These points stood out to me, but overall I think it was good.

    Perfect for a relaxing stay-in getaway

    This Accommodation kept showing up whenever I searched for places within an easy driving distance, and I’d long been curious about the Room layout. So I decided, “I’m going to relax!” and visited. Even after entering, the Room still had a mysterious floor plan. There was no auto-lock—just a traditional key—which felt nostalgic. It seems like a Showa-era Ryokan that has been partially renovated: the toilet was new, and it was amusing to see a ReFa hair dryer alongside an old-style towel rack. The in-room bath was the classic type with a deep tub, which I felt wouldn’t be suitable for elderly guests or small children. I wanted to enjoy the large public bath at leisure, but there was a loud group with poor manners, so I left quickly. That was disappointing. It was nice that the amenities were MIKIMOTO. Dinner felt like standard Ryokan kaiseki without anything gimmicky, but the sashimi was delicious. The spiny lobster was also plump and great. I also appreciated that they accommodated my request to avoid yellowtail-type fish. I regretted that I couldn’t wear the in-house Ise cotton loungewear because it ran small. I was told it feels stiff and not very comfortable, but could that be due to starch from cleaning? When I tried it on, it did feel quite stiff. I own several pieces of clothing made from Ise cotton, and they become softer with each wash and develop more character over time, so this felt very different against the skin. If there were a Plan with dinner served later in the evening, it would be easy to come after work with plenty of time—so if there’s another opportunity, I’d like to visit again.

    The staff’s thoughtful hospitality made this a truly wonderful Accommodation. The meals were delicious, with the refined craftsmanship typical of Japanese cuisine. The interior featured warm tones and a cozy atmosphere. It was also a delight to find MIKIMOTO amenities in the bath. It became a very special memory for us.

    A Gift for My In-Laws

    Given the season, the price was quite high, so I arrived with high expectations, but in the end it didn’t feel worth the cost… The response on the phone was rather curt and didn’t feel very warm… I already felt a slight sense of discomfort then. The dining area was wonderful, and I was able to enjoy my meal in a lovely setting with cherry blossoms in full bloom. The Room attendant and the doorman were excellent, but when I asked the front desk about how to get to Ise and about parking, their response was extremely curt. It honestly hurt and made me wonder if I shouldn’t have asked. The view was beautiful, and although it is an old Ryokan, it is well maintained. The pearl bath was lovely. It became one family memory. Thank you very much.

    We stayed here again for our visit to Ise Shrine. Has the head chef changed since last year? It felt like the atmosphere had changed a little... We had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    It was wonderful, just as everyone’s Reviews said. From the welcome in the parking lot, to entering the Room with a keypad code, the hallway scented with incense, and then stepping inside—it was a Room experience unlike anything I’ve had before. The layout was even better than some of Japan’s top-tier high-end places, with an excellent bedroom, living area, and an open-air bath in the Room—nothing to complain about. In addition to yukata, having pajamas as loungewear is something you really want for sleeping, and it’s not something I’ve experienced elsewhere. For dinner we chose a Plan because we wanted spiny lobster and abalone; we also added an optional dish on the day, and it was tender and very satisfying. The cosmetics were MIKIMOTO as well. We added an option to gift my wife a Pearl Spa experience, and she was delighted. You can really tell how considerate all of the staff are. If you’re traveling to Ise, this is the place. Please note that I don’t know what all meal options or Room Plans are like.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    This was the cleanest Onsen Accommodation I have ever stayed at, and the staff’s hospitality was outstanding. Every meal was delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the large public bath. They also kindly helped me plan and arrange the flowers and cake I ordered separately for a surprise, with great care and attention to detail. I would love to stay here again when I visit Toba.

    The welcome on arriv...

    The welcome on arrival was excellent. Taking a break in the lobby lounge with their famous cheesecake and tea quickly put us at ease. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, used local ingredients, and we enjoyed not only the flavors but also the beautiful tableware. There was one moment when a younger staff member’s response made us all pause for a second, but we took it as part of the charm. The Room felt a bit small for four people in a 10-tatami layout, with the futons laid out close together—it reminded us of a school trip from decades ago. When we asked for a photo on our way out, their kind personality really came through. We had a wonderful stay and left feeling satisfied and warmly cared for.

    It was a very satisfying trip.

    At my mother’s request, we planned a visit to Ise Grand Shrine, and since we also wanted to go to MIKIMOTO Pearl Island, we decided to stay in Toba. We made a Reservation at this Accommodation because we were drawn to the pearl bath. Everyone on staff we interacted with was very warm, and their hospitality was outstanding. The meals focused on ingredients from Mie Prefecture, and from the appetizers to the final rice dish, we truly enjoyed everything Mie has to offer. I was also impressed that there wasn’t the usual tempura. The view of Toba Bay from our Room was fantastic as well. Since wearing yukata inside the building is allowed, it would be nice if there were a small basket-style pouch or drawstring bag for carrying coins and a phone—then it would feel easier to casually buy yogurt after the bath or pick up souvenirs. Although it’s close to the station, having Shuttle Service was also greatly appreciated. My mother was happy with the trip too. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
