    I’d definitely love to stay here again!

    This was my first visit to Karatsu, and I stayed at this Hotel. The location, Room, breakfast—everything was wonderful, and I was completely satisfied. The staff were all kind and attentive. During my 3-day, 2-night stay, I felt refreshed both physically and mentally. I would definitely like to stay again! Thank you very much for your warm hospitality.

    Family Trip

    We stayed in the East Wing as a group of three. We really enjoyed the Onsen, sauna, and pool. The hot stone spa warmed us through to the core, so we slept soundly at night. The beds were excellent. A friend who usually can’t sleep on their back said, “I slept well on my back,” and the third bed was also very comfortable. We were surprised at how spacious the Room was. Even with our suitcases open, there was still plenty of space. All drinks—including beer—were free, so we enjoyed them after bathing. Unfortunately, we couldn’t have the complimentary one ice cream per person because we came out of the Onsen after business hours had ended. What a shame—next time we’ll be more mindful of the time. We would like to stay again. For meals, we chose a Plan with breakfast buffet only. There was a wide variety, and we enjoyed it.

    I was impressed by the well-designed layout and convenient Facilities.

    During the first half of Golden Week, my wife, our first-grade daughter, and I stayed in the East Wing for two nights. We did not have dinner. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of items including drinks, but nothing particularly distinctive. It was tasty, and the service from the staff was neither especially good nor bad. However, our daughter was very happy with the welcome cake we received at check-in (provided by Chateraise). The Facility is excellent. The 8th-floor panoramic Onsen pool and the 1st-floor indoor pool can each be accessed via dedicated elevators, which is very convenient. The pool changing room is shared with the Onsen dressing area and is located on the 2nd floor, making it easy to get ready (such as preparing swimsuits). My wife often used several types of saunas in the 2nd-floor spa and seemed to enjoy them a lot. Also, bath towels and bathrobes are available in several locations such as the Onsen dressing area and poolside areas, so we didn’t need to bring them from our Room. That said, unfortunately there were some guests with poor manners at the pool (at the 1st-floor indoor pool, we saw people opening a door connected to outside on their own and going out). If possible, I would like at least one lifeguard on duty; it seems necessary from a safety standpoint as well. The Room amenities were good, and the Room was spacious so we could relax comfortably. Our Room faced the ocean, so we also enjoyed a great view. It looks like the sandy beach right in front becomes a swimming beach in summer—it sounds fun. The souvenir shop on the 1st floor of West Wing felt somewhat lacking. Overall though, it was a very satisfying three-day/two-night stay. Our daughter liked it so much that she asked to stay one more night. Thank you very much.

    Japan’s Hawaii

    Although it felt like quite a distance from Hakata to Karatsu, staying at this Hotel during Golden Week gave us wonderful memories of our trip to Karatsu. The staff’s service, the breakfast, and the Room were all excellent. The view from the Room was breathtaking—an inspiring panorama of the beach and ocean truly worthy of the name “Seaside Hotel.” Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

    We stayed to celebrate my mother’s birthday. I mentioned it in the comments when making the Reservation, and they upgraded our Room—my parents were both very happy. It became a wonderful birthday memory. This is a highly satisfying Hotel, and we would love to stay again.

    The view from the Hotel is spectacular.

    The location was great, and we really enjoyed the Onsen and the meals. It was also wonderful to be able to take an easy walk, with the sea right in front of the Hotel. The design of both the common areas and the room felt welcoming and suited the seaside setting well. The meals included dishes we had never tried elsewhere (such as sasaika), and since they were served in a private-room style, we could relax and enjoy them at our own pace. The flowers at the Hotel entrance felt a bit sad (perhaps some slightly wilted potted plants?) and didn’t match the overall impression of this Hotel, but everything else was excellent.

    I was soothed by the sea in Karatsu.

    I’d occasionally used the Seaside Hotel’s restaurant for lunch, but this was my first time staying overnight. After check-in, I chose a welcome cake from about six options in the lounge and headed to my Room… The Room felt a bit dated, but it was a spacious Japanese-style Room with a low table set for four—more than enough space for the two of us. The window was wide and offered a great view of Takashima right in front of us. There was also a counter by the window facing the sea, so I could sit there and look straight out at the ocean the whole time—it was incredibly relaxing. I also liked that you could see the sea from the bathroom. The large public bath had salty mineral water that left my skin feeling smooth, and whether it was the Onsen effect or the sound of the waves, I slept deeply for the first time in ages. It was also fun that you can choose an ice cream after your bath—I picked Chateraise’s newest flavor and enjoyed it on our terrace while feeling the sea breeze. All of the staff were very kind, and I really appreciated them running to bring me something I had dropped. It’s a relaxing Hotel and was just what I needed to recharge. I’d definitely like to stay again.

    The East Wing was excellent.

    Last year we stayed in the West Wing, but this time we tried the East Wing. Everything from the lobby to our Room was beautifully maintained. We were also happy to receive a welcome cake, and the sofa and bed in the Room were all in lovely colors, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The sound of the waves from the balcony was amazing. The East Wing is more expensive, but it was very clean and comfortable, making it a wonderful day. The East Wing also has a pool, which our grandchild absolutely loved. We would definitely like to visit again. The buffet meals were also great. Thank you very much.

    Birthday Getaway

    This was our second stay, and we visited for my birthday. We were blessed with good weather, and soaking in the Onsen while listening to the waves at night was wonderful. Since my wife has limited mobility, you prepared a wheelchair for us, which made getting around easy and very helpful. The meals were delicious, and we were very satisfied. However, as I am a smoker, the only smoking area was outside at the far end, so going down from the 7th floor each time to smoke was a bit stressful. By chance, I spoke with other guests who also said it would be nice to have a few more places where smoking is allowed. If possible, I would appreciate it if you could consider adding more smoking areas. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity. Thank you very much to all the staff.

    The view is amazing!

    This was my first stay at this Accommodation, and it happened to be on a sunny day.\nThe Room was spacious, the windows were large, and when I stepped out onto the balcony, the ocean stretched out before me—an amazing view!\nOne small disappointment for me was that the water temperature in the large public bath felt a bit too lukewarm. I prefer it hotter, so that part didn’t quite suit me.\nI only used breakfast for meals, but the buffet had a great variety and was delicious.\nI regret not making it a Multiple Night Stay on this trip.\nThank you very much.

    Delicious meals.

    This time we stayed in the West Wing Accommodation. The Room is old, but it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Since three of us stayed, one person slept on a futon on the tatami. The bed was fine, but the futon felt a bit lower quality. Both breakfast and dinner were high quality. We were very satisfied with the meals. The large public bath is on the small side, but they offer complimentary ice cream after bathing, which was a nice touch. They used to provide complimentary bottled water as well, which was great, but that service has been discontinued. I hope it comes back. For this Accommodation, the West Wing is best; if you stay in the East Wing, I feel your satisfaction may be lower. The welcome cake was also delicious and a nice perk.

    The West Wing has been beautifully renovated too!

    The West Wing has been renovated, and the Room was clean and comfortable. My daughter’s family, who stayed in a Western-style Room in the East Wing, was very pleased that baby food was available at the dining area. We have visited several times, and we felt that the Hotel staff’s service has improved even further, making our stay truly enjoyable.

    We stayed this time with my parents, my sister’s family, and my family—8 people in total. The Facility was well equipped and we were satisfied, but we had heard it was operated by Chateraise and went with high expectations; however, the desserts at dinner were no different from other hotels, which was disappointing. There was a welcome cake and sweets in the Room, but we would rather see improvements to the buffet. Other than that, we have no complaints about the staff hospitality or service.

    Excellent location.

    I stayed for two nights in a Japanese-Western style Room in the West Wing with breakfast included. The meal rating is for breakfast, and it offered a great variety of dishes such as Saga beef hamburg steak, squid shumai, and sea bream chazuke. As it is operated by Chateraise, the desserts at breakfast were excellent, and after check-in there was also a cake service (available until 5:00 PM) that you could take back to your Room, which was a nice way to relax. I also appreciated the clean, well-maintained Room, the spacious interior, and the soothing ocean view from inside. Thank you for taking care of us over these three days. When I come to Karatsu again, I would definitely like to stay at Karatsu Seaside Hotel.

    I enjoyed my stay.

    We stayed with my daughter and her husband, our grandchild, my son, and the two of us—six in total. Lately, we have been staying with you two or three times a year. This was our first visit since last summer. My wife’s birthday was coming up, so we lined up the six cakes you kindly provided, lit candles, and celebrated. Unfortunately it rained, but the whole family enjoyed both the indoor pool and the infinity pool. It was almost like having them to ourselves, so we could really relax. We also took our time and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The only disappointment was that the bottled water in the spa had been discontinued. I understand why—considering environmental concerns—and it makes sense. We plan to visit again in July.

    Still amazing!

    This was my second stay in the East Wing, following last year. I travel several times a year both in Japan and abroad, and while many hotels worldwide are cutting back due to rising costs—reducing amenities in particular—this Hotel offers a well-stocked selection of amenities in the Room and provides bottled water for each guest. They also provide two types of loungewear, plus separate pajama sets, and the bath area is properly equipped with bathrobes and towels—truly a Hotel where you can stay “hands-free” without bringing anything extra. The Room is very clean, and an air purifier is already provided without needing to request one, making the stay comfortable and hygienic. I also enjoyed the ice cream after bathing, and having breakfast rice balls made with your choice of fillings is a real highlight. This is a rare Hotel I’d happily fly back to visit again. I’ll be back!

    I’d like to stay here again.

    As expected, the East Wing was wonderful. The new, clean Room was great, and both the sauna and pool were excellent. You can rent swimwear for 550 yen, but I’m glad I brought my own. Since everyone wears a gown, it felt reassuring. The meals were also a delight—beautifully plated appetizers, Saga beef hamburg steak, more delicious food than we could finish, plus complimentary Chateraise cake and ice cream.

    The sound of the waves heard from the Room is romantic.

    Just as advertised with seaside views from every Room, we enjoyed a wonderful view of Karatsu Bay. The ocean-view bathtub in the Room felt a bit cold, perhaps due to the season, but it made the stay feel extra special. The large public bath has a salt spring; it stung a little—embarrassingly, probably because my skin was rough from work—but I was surprised how much better it got over our two-night stay. They also offer complimentary Chateraise ice cream at the bath entrance, so even as adults we got carried away and ate plenty! Since the breakfast buffet venue was in the neighboring building, it was a bit of a walk, but everything—Saga beef hamburg steak, squid shumai, “Gyorokke,” and more—was delicious and choosing was tough. I’m truly glad we stayed two nights! Here too there were unlimited Chateraise yogurt and pudding, and I ate so much my wife couldn’t believe it. The made-to-order onigiri with your choice of fillings were excellent—especially the mentaiko. Even the curry was surprisingly good; I honestly didn’t know what to eat first… I felt like a kid getting excited in front of the drink bar and soft-serve machine. The Room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and having several pillow options was really helpful. The atrium leading to the Hotel lobby? It made for an amazing photo spot with the sea behind you. There are still many places in Saga Prefecture I want to visit, so I’d definitely like to stay here again next time.

    A Hotel I’d definitely like to stay at again.

    I’ve stayed at many hotels, and this Hotel is my number one favorite. The meals, service, and Facility were all so satisfying that one night didn’t feel like enough. They upgraded our Room, and we had a wonderful stay. We also enjoyed the nearby Nijinomatsubara Pine Grove—this is a truly charming Hotel. The desserts are especially delicious. The ice cream you receive after bathing was also authentic and very tasty. Next time, I’d like to stay for two nights or more.

    If I had to be picky...

    The staff maintained a comfortable level of attentiveness and provided thoughtful service, making time spent in the lounge truly relaxing. The Room furnishings and views were also excellent, and this is one Hotel I would like to visit again and again. If I may add one request, I would be happy if a few more warm dishes could be included for dinner in the lounge. Also, the main reason for choosing the club floor is to enjoy a calm, unhurried atmosphere. If possible, it would be ideal to have breakfast in the lounge as well.

    The view is amazing.

    The Room furnishings and ocean view were wonderful. We used the club lounge this time and enjoyed a truly elegant experience. Breakfast was on the first floor, and they kindly arranged a window-side seat for us, making it a memorable trip. The only disappointment was that the drinks in the Room refrigerator were not complimentary, but it was fantastic that we could enjoy unlimited alcoholic and soft drinks in the lounge until check-out.

    Excellent location!

    Starting with welcome sweets upon arrival, We stayed in the West Wing, and the Room was spacious! The view was amazing! Plenty of power outlets! The food was delicious too—especially the squid, which really impressed us! Breakfast was also great, and we ate way too much! The baths were spacious and so relaxing! The mist sauna felt wonderful too! The open-air bath was fantastic! Our skin felt so smooth afterward! The ice cream after the bath was delicious as well! The shop was well stocked too! A little disappointing that there’s no alcohol sold in the vending machines. We’ll be back!

    On a solo Multiple N...

    On a solo Multiple Night Stay, I often come to Karatsu because the sea is beautiful and the fish is delicious, but this was my first time staying at this Hotel. The coastline with white-capped waves was captivating, and toward the East Wing a pine windbreak forest stretches on, allowing me to spend a relaxing and blissful time. I also enjoyed the food, as the Japanese dinner was delicious. The “sashimi chazuke” for breakfast is highly recommended. This has become one of the Accommodations I’d like to visit again.

    It was very relaxing.

    I stayed here with my mother in her 80s. The Onsen was wonderful, and the view from the rooftop Onsen pool (swimwear required) was amazing. The meals were delicious, with plenty of fresh seafood. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of offering ice cream after the Onsen—it felt like a truly considerate service. We’re already talking about when to make our next Reservation.

    Excellent.

    I would love to stay here again. The views, the food, the Room, and the Onsen were all wonderful. Every item at the buffet was delicious—so much so that it was hard to keep my portion to what I could finish. The staff were warm and welcoming, and everything truly tasted amazing. The wedding photos were also beautiful, and I think it would be wonderful if my daughter could have her wedding here as well. I stayed in a shared Room with colleagues, and thanks to you we had a very enjoyable stay. Everyone praised it highly, saying it was excellent with not a single thing to complain about.     A Hotel I Want to Visit Again with My Family

    I stayed in the East Wing. The spa area where you can go in swimwear was amazing. Unlike regular Onsen accommodations where families are separated by gender, the rooftop Onsen here allows everyone to enjoy together and create family memories, which I thought was wonderful. However, I stayed on the rooftop for over two hours because I liked it so much, and ended up with a headache from what seemed like dehydration. Additionally, my dry skin on my feet became irritated. The room was spacious with interior design that suited my taste perfectly. The counter with a sink was also a nice touch. The view from the window was stunning as well. As for meals, being able to choose one welcome cake made me happy. At both dinner and breakfast buffets, there were so many dishes that it felt impossible to try them all! Being able to pick an ice cream after bathing was also delightful. I have two requests: first, please provide hydration options on the rooftop floor; second, since the hallways were too cold, it would be great if socks or tabi could be included in the loungewear set provided by the accommodation.
