    I wasn’t expecting m...

    I wasn’t expecting much from summer crab, but it was very delicious. My daughter said in her Review that the breakfast was amazing, so my expectations were a bit too high. The proprietress and all the staff were very kind, and I’d like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Unfortunately.

    I stayed here last year and had a wonderful experience, so I was looking forward to returning this year. However, I was shocked by how poor the attitude and hospitality were—perhaps the staff has changed. There was dust and dead insects on the handle of the Room refrigerator. Both the dining atmosphere and the Room were disappointing compared to last time. I won’t be coming back.

    Spacious and relaxing

    The views from the window—an unmanned station and the sea—were beautiful, and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. Every dish was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crab and shrimp. The Accommodation was quiet throughout, with a soothing atmosphere that made time feel as if it were gently passing by, allowing us to forget everyday life and truly unwind. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again in a different season.

    I stay here every year.

    The raw crab for hot pot is also delicious as sashimi—sweet and perfect with wasabi and soy sauce. The boiled crab is light and refreshing with crab vinegar. It’s not shown in the photos, but grilled crab with just the right amount of salt is served partway through. We truly enjoyed the crab. The only problem is that after the meal, you’ll be so full it can feel uncomfortable! If you want to enjoy crab and Onsen, this place has everything you need. We plan to return next year; our only concern is whether prices might go up given recent conditions.

    Second stay

    When I stayed for the first time last time, the crab was incredibly delicious. I wanted to Reserve again this year, but February—peak season—was unfortunately fully booked, and I was finally able to get a Reservation recently, so I was really looking forward to it. The meal was a full crab course, and I especially looked forward to the crab sashimi. As before, I was very satisfied, but the only non-crab sashimi option was red squid. I would have liked to have sea bream or flounder as well. Also, the shower in the middle had very weak water pressure and only ran at a low temperature, so I would appreciate it if you could check it. I know it’s a challenging industry when it comes to securing staff and more, so I think you’re making a great effort to keep everything this clean. I’ll be happy to visit again.

    The best place to enjoy crab!

    I stayed here because I wanted to enjoy crab dishes. I was extremely satisfied to be able to savor an incredible amount of crab cuisine. I definitely want to come again.

    All the crab dishes ...

    All the crab dishes were absolutely delicious! Breakfast also offered a great variety, and we enjoyed it very much. This Accommodation has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with staff who have wonderful smiles and are kind and attentive. I wasn’t sure how to make coffee in the Room and made a mistake, causing some trouble, but you handled it kindly and I truly appreciated it. We would love to visit again! Thank you very much for all your kindness. The cherry blossoms visible from the window were beautiful.

    If you’re craving crab, you’ll be more than satisfied!

    My 79-year-old mother, myself, and my son (three generations) stayed here. The hospitality was excellent, and the food was absolutely satisfying—so much that even I, with a big appetite, was beyond full. We enjoyed a full crab course: sashimi, grilled, steamed, and hot pot. If you ate this in Osaka, it would cost an unbelievable amount lol. The only disappointment was that for me (167 cm) and my son (178 cm), the duvets were a bit short and our feet stuck out, so we slept wearing socks. Other than that, everyone greeted us with big smiles, and we were very happy throughout our stay. Thank you very much.

    All-you-can-eat crab

    I go on a crab-focused trip every season, and this season I stayed at this Accommodation. With crab sashimi, shabu-shabu, boiled crab, and grilled crab, I was so full from crab alone that I couldn’t even eat the finishing rice porridge. The crab was excellent in both quality and quantity, and I was very satisfied. The Onsen is quite hot, and the open-air bath stays warm even in the morning or at night, so it’s a good choice for those who prefer hotter water.

    Highly satisfied.

    Despite concerns about snow, we enjoyed the staff's warm smiles and excellent cuisine. While the food was undoubtedly wonderful, it was slightly disappointing that the timing for serving tea and preparing the rice porridge had to be adjusted upon our request.

    It was amazing!!

    I stayed with my 2-month-old baby, and everything was well-prepared and accommodating, allowing us to stay with peace of mind! The crab was delicious, so I would love to visit again.

    The crab was delicious, but...

    The crab dishes were as delicious as their reputation suggested. I was so full that I couldn't even eat the rice porridge course. The whiskey I had in the lobby after dinner was reasonably priced and enjoyable. The Room was on the top floor and came with a bed. While it looked nice, the bed sank around the waist area, making it difficult to turn over and uncomfortable to sleep on. I felt it would have been better if futons were provided instead. As for the bath, the distance between the faucet and bathtub was too close, causing water splashes from people using showers to enter the tub. These two points were drawbacks; however, overall, I found this Ryokan to be good quality relative to others.

    We enjoyed the best crab dishes. Even though it was just a week after the season opened, we indulged in fresh crab, steamed crab, shabu-shabu, crab hot pot, and crab porridge. This beautiful Onsen accommodation has been recently renovated despite being established over 20 years ago. The location right in front of JR Sanin Line Shibayama Station is also convenient. Unfortunately, we couldn't try the radon Onsen due to time constraints but will definitely do so next time!

    I had a relaxing stay as always.

    We have been visiting every year since after COVID-19. We always look forward to enjoying crab a little earlier than the Matsuba crab season. This time, due to repair work on the San'in Line, there were no return trains available, so we had to take a substitute bus back to Kinosaki Onsen Station. Although we managed to board the bus from Kasumi early, it became extremely crowded as more passengers got on along the way. The response from JR left something to be desired. As for the accommodation, it was as wonderful as always—we enjoyed plenty of delicious crab and had a relaxing stay.

    Enjoyed delicious crab!

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We made the reservation simply thinking, "I want to eat crab," but we thoroughly enjoyed a variety of delicious crab dishes, including grilled, boiled, raw, shabu-shabu, and hot pot. Even though we were full, the rice porridge was irresistible! (laughs) The staff at the ryokan were kind and warm-hearted, which made us feel very comfortable. Thank you so much!

    This might be my favorite accommodation ever.

    We saw a scene on TV where someone was enjoying delicious crab in Kasumi, and we couldn't resist searching for an accommodation. We came across this place and made a reservation—it was the perfect choice! The heartfelt hospitality, the tasteful and impeccably clean interior despite not being brand new, the comfortable onsen with an open-air bath and sauna (though not very large), and most importantly, the crab! At over 60 years old, I had my first truly delicious crab here. Both my wife and I were extremely satisfied. Thank you very much!

    A Long-Awaited Stay at Koragi

    We revisited Kouragi after many years with our now-grown daughters, a place we used to visit every year when they were little. As soon as they entered, my daughters said, "I remember this scent," and we were all comforted by the same wonderful atmosphere as 10 years ago. Although I heard that the cozy kotatsu was removed during the COVID period, every corner was clean and incredibly comfortable, making it a perfect trip. The Kasumi crab and blackthroat seaperch were, of course, delicious. Not only that but all the other dishes and drinks were also exceptionally enjoyable. One thing I noticed was that the bathwater was too hot for my liking—though this might just be a matter of personal preference... I usually don't write reviews or feedback, but I wanted to share how satisfied both my daughters and I were with our stay. Thank you so much!

    I had a relaxing time.

    A relaxing atmosphere and a perfect balance of attentive yet unobtrusive service made for a pleasant stay. Last year, we struggled to finish the full crab course, so this year we opted for a course with one less crab but included nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). Sharing one large nodoguro between two people was just the right amount. Due to a COVID-19 infection, we had to postpone our trip by two weeks, but thankfully we were still able to enjoy the crab season. We’re already looking forward to visiting again next year!

    It was my first time staying, and I was very satisfied with the food and hospitality. When guided to the Room, I was soothed by the tea leaf incense. It was a unique form of hospitality I had never experienced before.

    The crab dishes, from raw to grilled, were served in generous portions, and we were able to enjoy them comfortably in a private room. The bath was small but cozy, and the open-air bath was very pleasant. Please note that there is no facial cleanser among the amenities. The yukata was clean, but it felt like it had been in use for a long time. I wish the souvenir shop was a bit larger. The air conditioning was warm, and since the futon was quite thick, we even used the cooling system during this season. The hostess's hospitality was excellent, making our stay very pleasant. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    I am satisfied!

    I enjoyed the Tag-labeled crab after a long time. It is neither in Kinosaki nor Kasumi, but quietly stands in front of JR Shibayama Station. It's about 20 steps from the station, I guess. I was picked up in front of the station and was able to check in smoothly. From the room, there was a wonderful view of the harbor. After a relaxing soak in the Onsen, I was treated to a crab feast at the dining area, starting with appetizers, followed by live crab, steamed crab, grilled crab, crab hot pot, and crab porridge, without a moment to catch my breath. The crab meat and miso were very rich in flavor, truly befitting a long-established restaurant. I was so engrossed in the crab that I neglected the sake. Breakfast was a complete change, offering a balanced variety of seafood typical of a port town, rather than a crab feast. It was understandable that there were several regular customers. I would like to visit again next year. Thank you for the meal.

    Wonderful, very satisfied.

    I am very satisfied. I am deeply grateful to Koragi for making it possible for my elderly mother, who usually doesn't show much enthusiasm for food, to enjoy the crab with a smile, saying "delicious" repeatedly. My mother, who usually doesn't like to go out, said she wants to come again. The crab was, of course, excellent, and the Onsen was also very nice. Thank you very much to all the staff for their kindness.

    Exquisite Crab Cuisine

    I have used this property several times in winter because I wanted to eat crab dishes. The food is truly delicious, and it is my favorite stay with a calm atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast are served in the dining area, so you can enjoy your stay comfortably without any smells sticking to your room, futon, or clothes. The two friends who accompanied me were also very satisfied with the quality and quantity of the meals, and I am grateful for that. This time, as there were three men, we requested the largest room and used a room with two adjoining Japanese-style rooms. Even so, it felt a bit cramped, so I felt that it would be best for two adults to use it, including other rooms. Personally, I would prefer a little more openness in the onsen, but considering the size of the property, it might be an appropriate size. It is a recommended stay for those who want to enjoy delicious crab in a calm atmosphere. I definitely want to use it again.

    Even in the Onsen Ry...

    Even in the Onsen Ryokan, there were touches of modernity and good taste throughout. I was able to spend my time slowly and comfortably. However, the service felt a bit rushed, and the hospitality is rated slightly lower. The crab was satisfying in both quantity and quality, even with "small portions." If possible, the evaluation would be higher if the dishes were served at the right timing to enjoy the delicious food, rather than having everything laid out from the beginning.
