    The Onsen is always wonderful.

    This was my first stay. I thought the Onsen quality was excellent. The meals were very generous, and each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The simmered golden eye snapper was the only item that tasted a bit heavily seasoned. I was satisfied with the sashimi and golden eye snapper shabu-shabu as well—everything was fresh with no unpleasant odor. As it’s an all-inclusive Accommodation, I was able to enjoy plenty of drinks. I stayed in an annex, and while there were many stairs and it was a bit of a trek to the Onsen, I enjoyed the traditional atmosphere. In my Room, it felt like there were quite a few insects around the open-air bath. Thank you very much. I’ll be back!

    This was an Accommodation where young staff worked very hard!

    As described in the brochure, this Accommodation offered a wonderful view overlooking the harbor and townscape from Atami to Ajiro. The staff were mostly young, and even those from Southeast Asia spoke fluent Japanese, which conveyed how hard everyone was working throughout the Accommodation. However, the open-air bath in our Room and the private open-air baths were small and not very appealing, so they did not fully meet our expectations as we often stay at Accommodations with in-Room open-air baths. As for dining, it was our first time having all drinks included, which was a real delight for someone like me who loves alcohol. That said, the meals were Japanese-style creative cuisine, and the use of butter—which I do not like—gave me the impression that it detracted from the overall feel of the dishes. I imagine operating in busy Atami is challenging with so many travelers, but I hope you will consider this feedback and continue to improve further.

    Friendly staff with warm smiles and excellent service.

    The stars in the night sky were beautiful, and the stairs seemed to have an old charm. The room was spacious, with a private bath, in-room dining service, and complimentary drinks. The staff's smiles and kind hospitality left a very positive impression. The welcome drink was relaxing while enjoying the ocean view. Although the building is generally old, it is well-maintained and clean. There was a slight scent of an older building. The Japanese-style room smelled of cigarettes, making me wonder if I had mistakenly chosen a smoking room; however, I had selected a non-smoking room. Since there was an ashtray present, it made me think that perhaps the previous guest smoked or that it might have originally been a smoking room. Dinner was average; however, breakfast served in three-tiered boxes filled with various side dishes was delicious. The fresh shirasu (whitebait) and salmon roe were particularly tasty—we even joked that we didn’t need to eat shirasu bowls at Atami Station anymore! For dinner service, placing all dishes on the table at once might be more efficient rather than serving them one by one—it could also ease some workload for staff members. Though small in size, the private bath in our room had perfect water temperature and we used it multiple times. However, there are steps when entering both the balcony bath and private bath—be cautious as they can be slippery; both my husband and I almost slipped. The reserved large public bath is easy to book via smartphone which was convenient. Despite cold winds outside, soaking in warm water while overlooking the coastline felt wonderful! The bathtub itself was clean without any floating debris—evidence of thorough cleaning efforts—and even the dressing area showed no trace of hair strands thanks to meticulous cleaning within 15 minutes before each reservation slot started!

    I visited in mid-December!

    I believe it was my own carelessness, but I injured my foot in the open-air bath attached to the Room. It was a sharp cut, as if from a blade, and there was quite a bit of bleeding. The staff kindly brought me a bandage, but I think it would have been nice to hear some words at checkout. The shower in the private open-air bath was broken. I came by car, but the road leading here is narrow and steep, which can be intimidating for low-clearance vehicles.

    Everything about this accommodation was wonderful.

    We stayed as a treat for our wedding anniversary. The Facility and meals were outstanding, but above all, the staff were exceptional. The person who provided transportation to and from the station was very engaging in conversation. The young man at check-in had the composure of a luxury Hotel professional. Most notably, the young woman serving dinner efficiently managed multiple guests on her own with a smile and impeccable service—truly 1,000 out of 1,000 points. The morning staff's greetings were also incredibly polite. My wife received an esthetic treatment and was deeply grateful for the dedicated care she received. We hope to visit again during the Atami Fireworks Festival next time. Please continue delivering excellent hospitality that brings joy to your guests!

    1st Wedding Anniversary

    We chose this accommodation for our first wedding anniversary trip. We also stayed here when we had just started dating (2 years and 7 months ago) and decided we would definitely return. From the welcome drink and sweets upon check-in, to the all-you-can-drink service until 9 PM, delicious in-room dining, and the private onsen with a reservation system—everything was perfect once again! What was different this time was the newly added "Kaikaze" private bath. We were surprised to find drinks prepared after bathing—it was such an unexpected treat! Every service felt luxurious, and yet there were even more surprises this time. The staff who assisted us were very polite, and my husband and I enjoyed delightful conversations with them. Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely visit again!

    A place to enjoy a private space

    We stayed with a plan that included meals in a room with an open-air bath. In addition to the bath in the room, we could use two private onsens, and even though we arrived early, we enjoyed a relaxing time without feeling bored. We had requested a birthday cake in advance and were able to present it as a surprise. The cake was delicious and just the right amount for two people. The staff had a warm demeanor and provided attentive service. The weather was great, and the view was spectacular.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ryokan!

    We stayed here for her birthday trip! We stayed in the separate villa accommodation. The room and the open-air bath were amazing, and the amenities were excellent! The view from the open-air bath at night was stunning, allowing us to spend a relaxing time. The private open-air bath also had well-equipped amenities, which was great! Above all, the staff's hospitality was exceptional, and we would love to stay here again! She was very satisfied, and we were able to celebrate her birthday in the best way possible.     We stayed here for the second night of a 2-night, 3-day trip to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. The private open-air bath in the annex was truly impressive. The view was excellent, making it a wonderful and memorable experience. Dinner was also great, though we felt the portion size was slightly too much; however, the quality was outstanding. Breakfast had both perfect quantity and quality with no complaints at all. My girlfriend was very happy as well—thank you so much!

    It was the best weekend!

    During a long weekend, I was casually looking for accommodation and happened to come across this ryokan. I was amazed after staying here—the food, the bath, and the breathtaking view from the hilltop were all fantastic. The delicious wine was a treat, and I definitely want to visit again!

    Meals

    The Hida beef five-type tasting course we were looking forward to... unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy it as there were too many fish dishes beforehand. It's a shame. While the variety and taste of the dishes were excellent, since the title highlighted Hida beef, we assumed it would be meat-focused. We chose this course because someone in our group dislikes fish, but ended up filling up on fish dishes instead. It would have been appreciated if there was more consideration regarding the balance of dishes served. Leaving behind some of the meat was truly disappointing. The all-you-can-drink option is very appealing. If meals could be enjoyed leisurely from around 5 PM, it might have been easier to relax without worrying about Onsen (Reservation) times. Thank you very much!

    Stayed at the accommodation for a special occasion.

    We stayed at the accommodation for our anniversary and were very satisfied with the overall service. One particularly touching episode was when a tsunami warning was issued during our stay, and with trains and buses stopped, we were unable to return to the accommodation from outside. The staff contacted us and even came to pick us up, which was incredibly helpful. This thoughtful customer-oriented approach made our trip truly satisfying. However, as we enjoy drinking alcohol, we had requested in advance for a reduced portion of dinner. While it seemed slightly reduced, the overall amount was still quite large, making it difficult to finish everything—but the taste was absolutely delicious.

    Atami Fireworks Festival

    We stayed here during our mother-daughter trip to enjoy the Atami fireworks. The accommodation was in Ajiro, located on a hilltop, offering great views. We could watch the Atami fireworks across the sea; while it must be impressive up close, the reflection of the fireworks on the water was also beautiful! We enjoyed watching from our room's foot bath, and the meals were delicious. The special abalone service on fireworks night was amazing! Breakfast was a delightful Japanese-style meal as well. The private bath was lovely too. As mentioned in reviews, there were some insects due to being on a mountain, but it didn’t bother us at all. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Hana by the Sea

    We stayed here for the Atami Fireworks Festival. Although it was a bit far, we had a great view of the fireworks. The meals were delightful, featuring Hida beef tasting, simmered scorpionfish, lobster hot pot, and abalone prepared on the spot as a special service. However, we were disappointed with the Western-style breakfast menu.

    Slightly different from the photos...

    During this season, there were insects in the open-air bath. It would have been nice to have insect repellent provided in the Room. The restaurant staff were all foreigners, and while different staff served during dinner and breakfast, their Japanese was not fluent. I felt it could have been more calming. The bed was hard and creaked, which was disappointing. The service of bringing juice and other items to the Room was excellent. Although Atami's fireworks appeared small due to the distance, they reflected beautifully on the sea.

    Last summer, I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful accommodation for the first time, and I was deeply impressed. Looking forward to visiting again has been a great motivation for me. Thank you so much once again this year. On the day of my arrival, despite an unexpected situation, you kindly responded with great care and even came to pick me up at Atami Station. The sense of relief I felt when we met is unforgettable. The staff member who provided the shuttle service was calm, gentle, and truly delightful. It made me happy to see them again this year as well. It’s moments like these that make me feel fortunate to have returned to Umi no Hana. Upon arriving at the accommodation, everyone warmly welcomed us with a perfect balance of calmness and efficiency, allowing us to relax in our room right away. The meals were outstanding! While last year's experience left a strong impression on me, this year's dishes were equally exceptional and delicious! During dinner service, although the staff maintained a relaxed demeanor, they were incredibly professional without ever making us feel interrupted or uncomfortable. Their warm smiles and eye contact left a lasting impression on me—it was truly remarkable. This is an accommodation where one can enjoy quiet moments while being cared for by trustworthy staff who provide heartfelt hospitality that brings happiness. I will definitely visit again. I look forward to seeing you all next time!

    The view is spectacular.

    The view from the Room and the open-air bath was truly breathtaking, unlike anything I've ever seen. Enjoying a beer while sitting on the sofa in the open-air bath was absolutely perfect. The meals were served at just the right timing, and both the quantity and taste were highly satisfying. I will definitely visit again!

    The temperature of t...

    The temperature of the room bath was low, while the outdoor Onsen was too hot. Temperature management of the Onsen seems inadequate. When meals were brought to the room, we were repeatedly asked in broken Japanese if it was delicious, which felt intrusive; a simple "Please enjoy your meal" would suffice. The room lacked a TV, which was inconvenient. There was a projector screen, but we didn’t know how to use it and even when asking the staff who showed us to our room, they couldn’t assist. For the return shuttle service, despite checking out at the promised time, there was a delay in being taken to the station. When asking staff about this, they only replied with "It’s fine" without proper explanation—clearer communication is needed.

    It was the perfect trip.

    I had always wanted to visit, and I was very happy to finally stay at this accommodation. The service from the staff, the private open-air bath and footbath in the room, as well as being able to enjoy meals in the room were all very satisfying. I was able to relax and spend my time comfortably. It was also a birthday trip, and I received a proposal in the room with the cooperation of all the staff—thank you so much for your support. It became a truly memorable day. I hope to use this accommodation again on another special occasion.

    The Best Accommodation in Atami

    I treated myself to a stay after a long time. Although I was worried due to some negative reviews, everything including the onsen, meals, and service was excellent. Thank you for accommodating an early check-in and providing a welcome drink even though I arrived earlier than expected. The meals were very delicious—luxurious yet light on the stomach, which was great. If I may add one suggestion, as a milk lover, it would be nice to have milk included in the all-inclusive options (haha). I would love to visit again. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

    A Wonderful Accommodation You'll Want to Keep Secret

    Service, onsen, meals, and scenery—all 5 stars, absolutely perfect! I was amazed that all the staff provided the same high level of service. Especially impressed by the Japanese language skills and politeness of the foreign staff member who assisted us. We received a confirmation call the day before, and free shuttle service was available at a set time. Located between Atami and Izu in Ajiro—a hidden gem we had never visited before. This accommodation is truly a treasure! Enjoyed an onsen with an ocean view from our room as well as private onsens—simply flawless. The meals were plentiful and delicious; we were completely satisfied both morning and evening. We will definitely return again!

    Enjoy a comfortable stay with warm hospitality in a leisurely atmosphere.

    We stayed at the separate accommodation. From the confirmation call after the reservation to being dropped off at Ajiro Station, the service was consistently pleasant and welcoming. The welcome drink, room, room service, and three private baths were all relaxing. The meals were diverse, delicious, and enjoyable. The foreign staff members also provided polite service. The view of the ocean spreading out in front of our room and the city lights at night were breathtaking. Although some review sites had negative comments, we found none of that to be true; it was a very comfortable and memorable trip for us. Our companion also loved it very much, and we are already talking about visiting again together someday.

    The location is great, but the meals...

    I stayed in a detached accommodation, and while the facility seemed to be renovated from an older structure, there was a slight odor in the restroom and toilet. The staff at the ryokan were very attentive and provided excellent service, except for those on duty at night. As for the meals, it didn’t seem like they were prepared on-site. Dishes like simmered fish felt tough and didn’t give the impression of being freshly cooked. For breakfast, I expected dried fish since it’s Atami, but it was just a standard meal. The location is great, the private bath was decent, and the staff's hospitality was commendable; however, with that level of dining experience, I feel there may not be many repeat guests.
