    I was very satisfied...

    I was very satisfied. However, the Room only had small face towels (there were paper towels), so I used a bath towel instead. There weren’t enough hair dryers in the large public bath, so my friend waited for one to become available, while I went back to the Room and dried my hair there. Other than that, nothing to complain about. I will come again.

    It was very good.

    The Onsen was, of course, wonderful, and it was clear that the staff at the Accommodation are well trained. Everything was excellent, including the flowers displayed throughout the property and in the Room, breakfast, and the Shuttle Service from the Accommodation to the Arima Onsen area. When I visit Arima Onsen again, I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    It was a great accommodation.

    The pick-up service and hospitality were truly top-notch. The garden and exterior areas were very well maintained. The Room was spacious and clean. The baths are among the best in Arima. 　→ Having both Kinsen and Ginsen is wonderful. Dinner was neither particularly good nor bad. 　→ It felt rather ordinary. 　→ I couldn’t help comparing it with other Ryokan. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. 　→ If it’s called an Arima specialty, was it pre-made? Even being served tsukudani didn’t impress me. 　→ Everything except the rice and miso soup was cold. The attendant worked hard, but their movements were a bit rough at times. 　→ The table setting during serving was noisy and clattering. 　→ They were friendly, but perhaps very busy. Since my main purpose in Arima is enjoying great food, I may have had overly high expectations for the meals, which left me feeling somewhat disappointed. As an aside, we stayed on Awaji Island afterward and were surprised by how delicious the food was (quality of ingredients and portion size). I’m a fan of Arima, but this experience may change my perspective.

    This is a wonderful accommodation with everything you need.

    I made a last-minute Reservation when returning to my hometown. When I mentioned at the time of booking that I would be visiting with my elderly mother, they upgraded our Room, which truly delighted us. The staff also showed thoughtful care toward my mother, making it a wonderful and memorable holiday. The food and cleanliness were impeccable in every way—this Accommodation comes highly recommended. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    To the Management Team

    Not only Choraku, but I feel that other operators as well are focused only on getting through today and tomorrow, without looking ahead. I don’t see any improvement. As we get older and stay more often, we start to notice these things. Because you rely on first-time guests, it feels like corners are being cut. Especially at a place like Choraku, I would like to see ongoing improvements. Feel free to laugh this off as an old person’s rambling.

    It’s been a while since I last visited Choraku.

    I stayed in a newly renovated Room and enjoyed a brief escape from everyday life, surrounded by the warmth of wood. Choraku is an Accommodation where you can enjoy both the gold and silver hot springs, so if you’re looking for a place to stay in Arima, I would recommend Choraku without hesitation. Flowers were beautifully arranged throughout the building, and their thoughtful hospitality was truly appreciated. The meal served in the Room was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the fun conversation while they explained each dish—I couldn’t stop laughing. The extra-large TV wasn’t working properly, but the front desk staff came right away and fixed it. Shortly after I returned home, I received a thank-you letter from Choraku. I travel often, but I have never stayed anywhere with such attentive service. I also booked through IKYU.com, and there was a surprise roast beef dish at dinner. I would like to take this opportunity to thank IKYU.com as well.

    Not only the Onsen, but also the service and meals are impeccable!

    The service was exceptionally courteous, and everyone’s attentiveness was outstanding. We had a Multiple Night Stay, and they changed the meal menu for us, so we enjoyed luxurious dishes without getting tired of them. We also ordered grilled spiny lobster in the shell and Kobe beef on the day, and they prepared them for us. They explained each dish clearly, which made it even more enjoyable. They kindly accommodated ingredients we couldn’t eat with thoughtful substitutions, making our stay very comfortable. We heard the menu changes every month, so we will definitely come again to relax.

    Very satisfied!

    From the person who greeted us outside the Ryokan to the Shuttle Service staff, the front desk, and the Room attendant, every staff member we interacted with was pleasant and courteous, which made our stay very comfortable. Every dish was delicious, and we enjoyed each one with delight. The Onsen also had both Kinsen and Ginsen baths, plus an open-air bath—completely satisfying. I recommended it to my parents as soon as I got home!

    Satisfying even for sauna enthusiasts

    As many Reviews say, the service and food are outstanding, so here are my thoughts from a different perspective. The steam bath was amazing! Like a Finnish-style sauna, the steam made it easy to breathe, and I could stay in comfortably. Since it’s a hinoki Room, you can relax while enjoying the soothing scent of hinoki wood. I never expected to find such an authentic steam bath at an Onsen. That said, the door uses a knob-and-latch style... There was an accident at a sauna Facility before, so I feel safer with an outward-opening door without a latch. Being welcomed with wonderful hospitality, relaxing in the silver Onsen bath and footbath, resetting in the steam bath—and then soaking in the gold Onsen open-air bath in the guest Room next to it before enjoying exceptional cuisine—was a luxury experience you can only have here.

    Everything was wonderful!

    I visited Arima Onsen several times with my parents when I was younger, but after moving to Nishinomiya as an adult, I stopped going—perhaps because it’s only a 30-minute drive—and instead started visiting farther Onsen such as Beppu. Also, since we have a dog, we’ve recently been choosing pet-friendly Hotels more often, including Onsens in the Kinki area and Resort Hotels. By chance, my wife heard about this Ryokan from a friend, and because of our pet we chose the day-use Plan. The course included an Onsen bath and lunch, and we were extremely satisfied. The Facility, service, and food were all flawless. Next time, I’d like to try a Plan with dinner. If possible, I would really appreciate it if you could offer a Room where guests can stay with pets.

    The Onsen was excellent in every way. I was especially impressed by the fresh, beautifully arranged flowers throughout the Ryokan and in the Room—they were vibrant and elegant, reflecting the refined atmosphere of Arima Onsen. It was also a great help that the Shuttle Service came to the station and bus terminal as many times as needed. After checkout, when we finished sightseeing and contacted you, you even delivered our luggage (including suitcases) to the station. That truly made a difference—this is what outstanding service feels like.

    We were able to fully enjoy the fresh greenery.

    I was a little surprised by the exceptionally fresh seared bonito, given that this is in the mountains of Arima. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    It was great.

    Both the Onsen and the meals were excellent, and I was able to relax fully. However, while I enjoyed chatting with the staff during the meal, since dinner is often served in a dining area, I think I would prefer that option. Also, it would be appreciated if towels were available in the bath area.

    A Ryokan offering warm, attentive hospitality

    It was a quiet, lovely Ryokan located a little away from Arima Onsen Station. Every year, our family visits an Onsen not far from home, and this place was peaceful; the Room was clean, and the hot spring water was great. For the meals, there were add-on menu options in the Room, so we wondered if it might be a bit small—and it did seem to be not quite enough for our family (the men). However, everything tasted delicious, so we’ll keep that in mind next time we visit. It’s a Ryokan where you can spend a wonderful day, and we’d love to come again. Thank you very much.

    Both the Gold Bath and the Silver Bath are available for use.

    I made a Reservation one week in advance. I had heard there was a Shuttle Service from Arima Onsen Station, but the map app showed it was a 10-minute walk, so we walked. The slope from the Ryokan sign to the Ryokan is extremely steep, so I think requesting the Shuttle Service is best. We chose the Wagyu course meal. There was plenty of meat, and my family was very satisfied. We were able to enjoy two types of Onsen, and they retained heat well—I stayed warm even after getting out. I would like to visit again.

    It was a great accommodation.

    As expected of Arima Onsen’s famous Kinsen and Ginsen. Being able to experience both at this Accommodation alone is truly valuable. The Room was also spacious, making it easy to relax and spend the whole day comfortably.

    The corner Room offered a panoramic view and was excellent. Both the large Onsen bath and the open-air bath were outstanding. With dinner and breakfast served in the Room, we were able to spend a relaxing and peaceful spring holiday. Thank you very much.

    A wonderful Accommodation with delicious dinner and breakfast. The Accommodation also has both Silver Onsen and Gold Onsen, which was excellent.

    The meals for my elementary school-aged grandchild were just as substantial as the adults’, and we were able to enjoy both the silver and gold hot springs at a relaxed pace—very satisfied.

    Anything other than the Onsen is not allowed.

    The Onsen is nice, but the bathroom is small. The meals are not good, yet the Accommodation rate is expensive for what you get.

    Extremely wonderful, but it’s missing that final finishing touch.

    The cuisine is wonderful: not only are the appetizer and hassun delicious, but they now also have a more vibrant, visually stunning presentation—on par with (or even surpassing) the level from Head Chef Ooka’s era—making the overall experience even more satisfying. Breakfast is also excellent, with many easy-to-enjoy side dishes served in small portions that pair perfectly with rice. The Onsen is a true luxury, allowing you to enjoy both Kinsen and Ginsen in your Room—almost one of a kind even in Arima. Taken together, the cuisine and Onsen place this property at a top-tier level in Arima by far. (There’s little to no view, though.) Service is also outstanding: dishes are served piping hot with appropriate explanations, there is Shuttle Service to the hot spring town area, and they are considerate about birthdays as well. However, it’s quite disappointing that the newly opened annex lounge cannot be used during the daytime—I would like this addressed properly. Also, the faint unusual noise coming from the air conditioning throughout the night should be fixed immediately. It was quite bothersome.

    Very satisfied.

    This Accommodation offers both Kinsen and Ginsen hot springs. I stayed with my son, who has food allergies, and my mother, who cannot eat raw foods, and they accommodated each of them. They were very happy. There is a steep hill on the way to the Ryokan. When we started walking without knowing, they came to pick us up. We stayed for two nights, and they provided Shuttle Service even for nearby trips. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay. Highly recommended Accommodation.

    It was very helpful ...

    It was very helpful that we could leave our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, and use the Shuttle Service to the Onsen town at any time. Since we were a large group with toddlers, we requested in-room dining in a tatami Room, and they prepared a banquet hall of a suitable size, so the children could run around and we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about others. The Onsen was excellent, but the only inconvenience was having to reuse a single towel even though we bathed multiple times. The service was flawless and made for wonderful memories of our family anniversary. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful!

    The Room was spacious and relaxing, with separate areas for dining, sleeping, and lounging, which was wonderful. The meals were lightly seasoned, letting the natural flavors of the ingredients shine—delicious! The baths included both Kinsen and Ginsen hot springs and were very soothing, and the bathing area was well maintained. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

    Arima is the best after all.

    The IKYU perk included champagne, which was wonderful to enjoy with dinner. Our Room was also upgraded to a suite, making it the best birthday for my wife.

    Your First Time in Arima Onsen

    I stayed at your property on a business trip from Tokyo over a long weekend. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the lively Onsen town, and I imagine the riverside view is spectacular during cherry blossom season. The garden in front of the entrance gave a relaxing, welcoming feeling. Flowers were displayed at key points along the way to my Room, which was a delight to see. The Room was a Japanese-style room, and the indoor bath was made of hinoki cypress. The in-room meals were also excellent, with seasonal Kansai flavors and beautiful presentation. The Onsen’s Kinsen has various benefits, so I enjoyed it several times. I would love to visit again.

    Highly satisfied.

    It was our first time visiting Arima Onsen, and my daughter and I had a wonderful stay. The Shuttle Service, hospitality, baths, meals, Room, and spa treatments were all excellent, and we were completely satisfied.     Our hospitality is of the highest standard.

    Rooms may vary by grade, but the 6th-floor Room I stayed in had modern, comfortable bathroom facilities, including the toilet and bath. The large public bath’s silver and gold springs were excellent, and the hair dryers provided there were also very good. I wished the timing of the in-room meal service had been a bit quicker (ideally, it would be nice if they asked whether we prefer faster or slower service), but otherwise I had no particular complaints and enjoyed the food. There was a small incident where I was almost given a key to a different Room at the front desk when I returned from a walk, but overall the service was attentive and left a very positive impression.

    It was a very satisfying trip.

    I have traveled to many places, and I had long wanted to visit Arima Onsen. Even though I have limited mobility and traveled with a cart and a cane, the Onsen was the most satisfying I have ever experienced. The meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and on top of that, the staff provided pleasant, attentive service. I was able to spend a very satisfying time here, and if it were not so far away, this is an Accommodation I would like to visit again.
