The design and ambiance were excellent, with a clean and refreshing atmosphere. The layout and structure had charm, leaving us completely satisfied.

I would like to stay again.
The building, furnishings, and tableware of the Property were all carefully selected and wonderful. The food was also prepared with care and tasted great, leaving us very satisfied. There was a flowing Onsen in the Room that we could enter at any time to relax. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

Another World
The open-air bath by the river was amazing, as I soaked in the morning bath while listening to the murmuring of the river and gazing at the snowy landscape. I was worried about driving back, but thanks to the detailed route guidance, I was able to return without any issues. It was almost unbelievable that there was no snow on the roads at all. Thank you very much. Looking back, it feels like I spent two days in another world. It felt like receiving the best and happiest gift at the end of the year. Truly, thank you very much.

Kurokawa Onsen
The wonderful onsen at Kurokawa Onsen ranks in my top 3. Here at [Nonohana], there are 8 rooms in total, as I was informed that 8 rooms are manageable for a ryokan. It gave the impression of providing attentive hospitality without expanding too much. However, from the welcome at the parking lot, there was a sense of discomfort. The room felt outdated, and the open-air bath was full of leaves. The distance from the dressing room to the washroom was far, and the room layout was poor. It was a chilly day, so the open-air bath in the room was too cold to enjoy. The amenities, tea (is hojicha appropriate for a ryokan of this class?), and even the coffee maker were outdated. The meals were delicious, but they were served without considering the guest's timing, causing warm dishes to become cold. The baths were separate, requiring guests to wear yukata and sandals to move between them. The final straw was that there was no send-off after payment. Kurokawa Onsen has wonderful water, and I often use other ryokans, but I will not return here. It was a property where I did not feel the spirit of hospitality.

Stays where you can relax
The meals are delicious, and it is a property where you can relax and unwind. The building is not new, but it has charm and is well-maintained. It is especially recommended for those who love baths.

A cost-effective and relaxing Onsen Ryokan
Following my previous visit, this was my second stay, and as always, it was a very good Ryokan. The hot water is nice, and the meals and room are impeccable. Among properties of this class, the price is reasonable, so it is quite valuable. I think it's worth using as it's only an hour from Kumamoto Airport.

I definitely want to repeat my stay.
My first trip to Kyushu. I chose this as my first place to stay. I love traveling and have stayed at various properties like star-rated ryokans, but this was a wonderful property that was second to none. I couldn't find any faults. The room was detached and the bath was amazing. The food made with local ingredients was very delicious, and the hospitality was natural and comfortable without being excessive. It was truly a property I would recommend to others.
