    A Refreshing and Precious Experience

    Step inside, and a whole new world unfolds. Every detail of the building, textures, and furnishings reflects the owner's dedication and passion. While enjoying the warmth of wood, all facilities are state-of-the-art. Thoughtful touches like beverages in the refrigerator and traditional Japanese noodles add to the charm. Everything was delicious, especially the fresh juice, which was of the highest quality—too good to share even in photos. Of course, as an auberge should be, dinner is an extraordinary experience that you must visit to truly appreciate. The staff provided heartfelt hospitality that went beyond typical luxury hotel service—it felt genuine and personal. This Hotel is a perfect retreat for seasoned adults seeking elegant and luxurious moments. For us, it was truly a lifetime-best experience. Thank you very much!

    Thoughtful hospitality for solo travelers

    I don't want to write too many good things because it might increase the number of guests, but I wanted to express my gratitude to the hotel through this review. I felt that it was very accommodating for solo travelers. Also, there were various delightful services (a surprise after your stay, details are a secret).

    It felt spacious and relaxing, even though it was a single.

    We were a family of three, so we decided to book a single room for one person. Although we didn’t make any special requests, the Hotel kindly arranged the single room right across from the double room where the rest of our family stayed, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Both rooms were well-designed; even the single Room was quite spacious. While the bathroom in the double Room was larger, it was more than sufficient for one person in the single Room. The refrigerator was well-stocked with drinks. Each Room had different books available, which showed great taste and added a nice touch. The restaurant served delicious meals, and overall, it felt like a calm and sophisticated adult-oriented Hotel. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making our stay very relaxing. The other guests also seemed to match this refined atmosphere. It seems that the owner has an appreciation for music as events are held regularly at this Hotel. I hope to visit again during one of these occasions in the future. Additionally, parking is extremely convenient here—perfect even for those who aren’t confident with parking!

    It was as wonderful as ever.

    A few years ago, I stayed at this accommodation and was deeply impressed by the high level of hospitality and delicious meals, which made me want to revisit. This time, I finally had the chance to return during a family trip to Nara, and it exceeded my expectations once again! It was my mother's first visit, and she mentioned that the staff's service here was the best she had ever experienced in any hotel. The meals were exceptional as well. Thank you for accommodating a family member with a wheat allergy and paying attention to every detail. They especially loved the rice flour bread and were very happy with it. Although Nara Park was crowded with many people, this hotel offered a calm atmosphere despite being so close to the park. After making our reservation, we received a call from the staff confirming details about our stay. They informed us about a salon concert happening on that day, so we enjoyed both dinner and the concert together during our visit. The proximity to the piano performance was astonishingly close, and after it ended, we even got to speak with pianist Mr. Osaki—it became an unforgettable experience for us. The food presentation is stunningly beautiful as well as delicious; I highly recommend having dinner here when staying at this accommodation. The bar is also lovely—non-alcoholic cocktails are available for those who don't drink alcohol so everyone can enjoy its ambiance. For breakfast, you can savor freshly baked croissants (even if you choose Japanese-style breakfast!). The accompanying jams are incredibly tasty too! Freshly squeezed orange juice adds an extra touch of luxury in starting your day right—it left us feeling fulfilled in wrapping up our family trip on such positive notes. We will definitely visit again!

    It was a very lovely...

    It was a very lovely Hotel with a classic and elegant atmosphere. The Room's setup and amenities showed great attention to detail, allowing for a comfortable stay. The staff's warm and courteous service was also impressive, making me want to stay here again when visiting Nara. Dinner was at the first-floor restaurant "Le Bois." Thanks to the kind hospitality of the staff, I was able to enjoy my meal in a relaxed setting.

    My mother was very satisfied!!!

    A long-awaited trip to Nara (11 years for my mother, and since my high school trip for me). I had seen the Nara Hotel Tōdaiji on a TV program before and thought, "What a lovely hotel!" This time, as a token of gratitude to my mother, we finally stayed there. Perhaps because there were fewer guests on our stay date, from check-in to dinner and breakfast, it felt very private! The food was delicious, of course, but we were especially impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The next morning's "Morning Nara Walk" was also delightful—just us two with the guide for an enjoyable hour. We even got to ride the sightseeing express train "Aoniyoshi" both ways. My mother said she felt like she had spent "a dreamlike time," leaving her completely satisfied. I hope to stay here again when I visit Nara next time. Thank you so much! *The bath rating is 4 stars because the water from the bathtub faucet felt slightly lukewarm even at maximum temperature. Also, despite being two women staying together, there were no brushes provided—only two combs. However, overall satisfaction exceeds 5 stars in my opinion! My personal total score would be 5 out of 5!

    Relax and unwind at your favorite Hotel.

    I had been looking forward to this stay since making the reservation nearly a year ago. Although I initially booked a single room, I was upgraded to a spacious room, which was more than enough but allowed me to relax comfortably. The staff, as always, provided exceptional hospitality, and the meals were so plentiful that I couldn't finish them all. It might be nice to have an option for smaller course portions for dinner. While the bath is not an onsen, it comes with hinoki wood chips and bath salts, allowing you to stretch out and enjoy it fully without any issues. I'll work hard so that I can visit again at least once a year!

    I came to Nara because I wanted to stay here.

    The request for early check-in was graciously accommodated, and the man who greeted us at the gate wore a badge of "Relais & Châteaux," a symbol of excellence featuring a white lily motif, on his chest. The original herbal tea and the confectionery made by wrapping candied yuzu peel in dried persimmon that we received at check-in were so delicious that we asked for the shop's name to buy them as souvenirs, which were very well-received. Although I had stayed at several international hotels in Osaka that I was curious about, I felt their hospitality towards inbound guests was lacking, so I extended my trip to Nara and it turned out to be a great decision. While this time we only had breakfast within the hotel, sipping freshly squeezed orange juice bathed in sunlight from large windows seemed to activate happiness hormones. A female staff member gently asked if the sunlight on my face was too bright, providing just the right amount of attentive service without being intrusive. The brioche that I couldn't finish was wrapped with fig jam for me to take home and enjoy later. This is definitely a hotel I'd recommend for those who enjoy gastronomic tourism.

    It was truly moving!

    I stayed for two nights. Initially, I couldn't book dinner on the first night as it was fully booked, but I received a call about a last-minute cancellation. That evening, there was a salon concert, and I was able to enjoy both music and dinner. My Room was upgraded with a great view, and all the meals were delicious—it felt like a dream. I was deeply moved by the warm yet unobtrusive care and kind words from all the staff. Truly, people are most touched by other people! Everything was wonderful, and I definitely want to visit again.

    Unchanging Hospitality

    It was my first stay after the renewal. I was able to enjoy my stay without any disappointment. The morning walk in Nara Park and the night tour of Nigatsudo were new discoveries, making me love Nara even more. When I returned from outside, I was offered hot wine, which warmed both my body and soul. The freshly baked croissants timed perfectly for breakfast, and the brioche that I couldn't finish was cut for a snack. They also made copies of documents for me; I'm grateful for the staff's hospitality. I hope to stay again if possible.

    Experience a wonderful Hotel in Nara

    It was a one-night, two-day stay, but from arrival to departure, the hospitality of everyone engaged at the Hotel was exceptional. I had numerous satisfying experiences and spent my time in utmost comfort. Both dinner and breakfast greatly exceeded my expectations with dishes that did not disappoint at all, making for a wonderful time. I am very grateful to everyone at the Hotel for making my short stay enjoyable. I will definitely visit again, so please take care of me then.

    Construction work is being carried out at the neighboring Hotel...

    The neighboring Hotel is under construction, and when I open the curtains, I make eye contact with many workers, so I couldn't open the curtains at all, felt suffocated by the pressure, and couldn't relax at all... Other than that, the hospitality and food were perfect!

    I used this place to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Thanks to the heartfelt hospitality of the staff, we were able to enjoy a wonderful time experiencing a rich quality with all our senses, making it the best gift possible. I am truly grateful. The meals we were looking forward to, both dinner and breakfast, were filled with special touches. Even my daughter, who doesn't like strong or heavy flavors, was very satisfied, saying "delicious," and I also found every dish to be extremely tasty. I would be happy to visit again someday.     I was very satisfied!

    During the final days of the Shosoin Exhibition, I was able to stay at the Nara Hotel Nara, which I had long admired. From the moment of arrival, it was a series of moving experiences. Above all, the warm hospitality of the hotel staff was wonderful. Although I only had breakfast, I deeply appreciated the deliciousness of freshly baked croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice. When I went to pick up the trunk that I had left with them at departure, they greeted me with a smile. Thank you very much.

    Nara after a long time

    I have visited Nara many times in the past, but I didn't notice this Stays and it was my first time. The Facility has been renovated, making it new, and it is in an excellent location facing Kofuku-ji, allowing for a relaxing stay. I wonder why I didn't notice it before, and for this, I am a bit grateful to IKYU. Upon hearing, it started as a facility for a certain large company's guesthouse, and the combination of staff from a famous Hotel group made for quite an interesting history. From the Reservation stage, there was frequent communication, and I felt a sense of something special. Even without hearing about such a past at the Hotel bar, I felt the comfort of hospitality from the moment I arrived. Including the wonderful meals as reputed, this became a memorable stay in Nara. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    The bathroom was small, but everything else was perfect.

    The meals were delicious, the staff's hospitality was wonderful, and it was a very satisfying trip. I would definitely like to visit again when I come to Nara.

    This is my second time using it.

    Last time, due to the typhoon, I could only stay for one night, so I used the Property again. It is close to the station and has a good location. The food was delicious and satisfying this time as well. The crab risotto for dinner, freshly baked croissants for breakfast, homemade fig jam, eggs benedict, umami tofu, Nara pickles, and fuki miso were particularly delicious. Thank you for letting me take home candy, jam, fuki miso with bread, and freshly baked financiers from dinner as souvenirs. I couldn't finish the canelé snacks in the Room, and when I gave them to a friend as a souvenir last time, they were delighted, saying it was the most delicious they've ever had. The Yamato tea and Nara pickles for breakfast were also delicious, and I was able to make them souvenirs after being told about the shop. Thank you for arranging an early morning walk with a Nara walking expert, allowing me to fully enjoy Nara. The disappointing part was that there was no body soap prepared this time, unlike last time, and when I requested it, I was told that I could wash with the solid soap in the washroom. I had to insist that I needed body soap before it was finally brought to the Room. I thought that if it were a first-time guest who was not assertive, they might just accept it and not say anything. Also, even though I paid for three nights, the amenities and night snacks for three nights were not replenished, and I felt hesitant to point it out, wondering if it would seem stingy. Since the Accommodation Fee is expensive for me, I was somewhat disappointed, hoping to receive services equivalent to the fee.
