    Stunning Ocean View

The coastline views during the evening fireworks were stunning. We could fully enjoy the Sea of Japan from both the Room and the bath. The meals were delicious, and we truly experienced all the best of a traditional Japanese Onsen. Winter may be known for crab, but Kaike Onsen in summer is wonderful.

    It became a wonderful memory.

Recently, I stayed here with my parents and my daughter and her husband. Our Room had a modern Japanese style, and we were truly moved by the panoramic view of the Sea of Japan from the Room. The water was so clear that we could have watched it forever. At night, we could see dozens of lights out on the dark sea—perhaps from squid fishing boats—and it was absolutely beautiful. The large public bath also faces the sea, and we really enjoyed soaking for a long time in the open-air bath while taking in the view. We chose the deluxe Plan for dinner. Everything was wonderful—from steamed dishes we had never tried before to mackerel shabu-shabu—but the grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) with salt was outstanding. Some Ryokan serve nodoguro, but it is often small; here it was surprisingly large. Since it was my husband’s birthday, I consulted with you in advance about arranging a surprise cake. From our messages beforehand through to the day itself, you handled everything so thoughtfully, and I’m very grateful. My husband was delighted, and we were able to celebrate with big smiles all around. Thank you again. If there’s one regret, it’s that we only stayed one night. It felt like an Accommodation that deserves at least two nights, so next time I hope to book a Multiple Night Stay! Lastly, I rated the Facility as 4 because there are some older areas here and there—for guests who might be concerned about that. However, it didn’t bother us at all during our stay, and we had no issues whatsoever.

It was a satisfying Onsen trip.

After check-in, the staff kindly showed me around various in-house Facilities on the way to my Room. I was surprised that the lounge on the 1st floor offers complimentary service, including alcohol, until 21:30. I can’t drink alcohol, but it’s a very welcome service for those who do. There were also snacks like chocolate and nuts, and after dinner I was able to relax with a coffee while enjoying the seaside atmosphere (it was dark so you can’t actually see the ocean). As for the bath, water pressure varied a lot depending on which shower you used. It wasn’t crowded so it wasn’t an issue, but I’d appreciate it if this could be improved. The quality of the hot spring water was excellent. Regarding meals, the rice was exceptionally good—of course, so were the dishes overall. I appreciated having clam soup, but there were 7–8 dead clams in it, which was disappointing; however, when I mentioned it they replaced it for me. The meat was also very delicious. It was a Friday stay, and overall I’d recommend this place if you can get this level of satisfaction at this price point.

    Time flows in luxury.

Right in front of you is the Kaike Sea, and the large open-air bath was wonderful—but what I loved most was the lounge! From 3:00 PM, they offer not only coffee and tea, but also café au lait, juice, sparkling drinks, and even beer. From 6:00 PM, wine and sake are added too—so helpful! The food was delicious as expected, and you could tell at a glance that the beef steak was high-quality meat with great freshness. The milk pudding after dinner was unbelievably good—I was truly impressed. I would have preferred a proper makeup remover rather than an all-in-one face wash/makeup remover type, but for just one day it wasn’t an issue. Thank you, Kasuitei!

The view from the open-air bath is outstanding.

This Accommodation’s baths are outstanding. The open-air bath faces the Sea of Japan, offering breathtaking views at sunset. All Rooms are ocean-facing, with a picture-perfect view like a painting right from your Room. The meals were excellent as well—overall, it was an Accommodation we were extremely satisfied with.

    In-room Facilities

I didn’t come here to watch TV, but these days it would have been more relaxing if the TV outside the bedroom were a bit larger and if there were access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. As for the Room layout, it was great that the bedroom was completely separate.

It was a very pleasant stay.

Above all, the views from the bath and the Room were wonderful. The quality and quantity of the Onsen were excellent. The staff at the Accommodation also provided very good service. The food was delicious, but we think it would be even better if there were slightly smaller portions with higher quality.

Arriving at the Hotel by car, we were warmly welcomed at the entrance by a male staff member. After giving our name and leaving our luggage, we headed to the front desk, where everything seemed to have already been shared, and check-in was completed very smoothly with “Mr./Ms. XX,”. We also appreciated the attentive service of having our luggage carried to our Room. The complimentary drinks in the lobby lounge were excellent: alcoholic beverages such as beer and sake were available until 7:00 PM, and we could enjoy a relaxing tea time until 10:00 PM. The view from the open-air bath was stunning, and our Room had a beautiful ocean view as well. The next morning, we enjoyed a luxurious sunrise while still in bed and truly felt like we were on a resort getaway. Each dish was carefully prepared, and everything was delicious. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, my spouse and I had a wonderful time. We would love to visit again with our family.

The perfect Hotel for relaxing while gazing out at the sea.

This was my first visit to Kaike Onsen, and choosing Kikusuitei was the right decision. The Facility, including the baths, was spotlessly clean, and the seafood-rich meals were more than satisfying. The staff at the shop where I bought souvenirs also answered my questions politely, which left a great impression. I think this is a high-quality Hotel where you can fully enjoy both relaxing in the Onsen and savoring the cuisine.

    The sea is beautiful.

The meals were great. The sea was beautiful, and I could have watched it forever. It was a bit hot and I ended up sweating. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room very well.

We stayed as two couples. The location was excellent, and the Room was clean, spacious, and relaxing. The meals were also delicious. In particular, the steamed abalone was unbelievably tender and flavorful—unlike anything we had ever had before. Thank you very much.

A Hotel with Stunning Views of the Contrast Between the Sea and Pine Trees

From the lobby, we could see the beautiful ocean and pine forest—an amazing location! Until 7:00 p.m., beer was available as a welcome drink with unlimited refills on the lobby sofas. I was out sightseeing until after 7:00, so I couldn’t have any, but hot coffee was available until 10:00 p.m., so I enjoyed a delicious cup and relaxed. In the morning, apple juice was also available and it was incredibly good. For dinner, kaiseki cuisine was served by attendants in kimono, and each dish was brought out freshly made and warm. From the open-air bath we could look out over the pine forest, and at night we enjoyed two separate baths in different locations. Bath towels and towels were provided there as well, so we could always use clean ones. From our Room we could also enjoy a wonderful view of the ocean with beautiful waves—it was breathtaking. The futon bedding was prepared for us too. There were also Inaba no Shiro Usagi manju sweets and tea in the Room, which we enjoyed very much. When booking through IKYU, our stay cost about 10,000 yen less. I couldn’t believe this quality at this price—it felt like such a great deal and made me very happy. Lastly, I accidentally left my jacket behind when checking out, but they contacted me and carefully packed it up to send it back. I was truly touched by the staff’s thoughtfulness at this Hotel. It turned into a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

    The view is spectacular.

The panoramic view of the Sea of Japan right in front of you is wonderful. There are two large public baths, and both the water volume and the Facilities are excellent. The meals themselves are good, but I felt the dining venue could be a bit calmer. The Room is spacious enough, but there seem to be too few power outlets (since there are many devices to charge).

Thank you for helping make my wife’s 60th birthday trip so special.

We stayed at Yuhinkan for my wife’s 60th birthday trip. Thank you to everyone—the staff who welcomed us, guided us around the Facility, and assisted with in-Room dining—for kindly accommodating our various requests. My wife was delighted with the red chanchanko, and that made me happy as well. The bay view from our Room was under cloudy weather, but the beautiful pine trees made it look like a painting. Enjoying the in-Room Onsen while listening to the sea breeze and waves gave us a wonderful time we don’t usually get to experience. Having meals served in our Room allowed us to relax and enjoy delicious dishes at our own pace. The sashimi was excellent, and the abalone was also very tasty. Although this is a relatively large Accommodation, we truly appreciated the thoughtful attention in many ways. It also looks fun during the summer swimming season, so we will visit again.

    We felt warmly welcomed.

It was my first Onsen Ryokan stay in a while. The building felt solid and spacious, and complimentary drinks were available on the first floor (I didn’t have time to use them). After arriving, I started feeling unwell, and when I asked for extra blankets and bedding, they kindly brought them to my Room. By the next day I was feeling better and was able to enjoy the lavish breakfast. Each dish in the set meal was carefully prepared; the steamed salmon (I think) was plump and delicious. Outside the Hotel, the Sea of Japan stretches out before you—you can take a relaxing walk along the coast, and you can also view the sea from the Onsen. Above all, I was impressed by the staff’s warm words and thoughtful care. It really reminded me how this kind of hospitality sets it apart from a Business Hotel. To be honest, I hadn’t even known about Kaike Onsen until now, but it became a wonderful memory.

    Onsen and cuisine! The best!!

My first time at Kaike Onsen. I honestly didn’t know Tottori had such a wonderful place. A very large and impressive Ryokan, beautiful views from the window, and an excellent Onsen with great water quality using its own private source. The meals were also luxurious and delicious. Of course, dishes made with premium ingredients like abalone and nodoguro were fantastic, but what impressed me most were the carefully prepared items—such as the appetizer at dinner and the wide variety of small side dishes at breakfast—which were all truly delicious. All of the staff were very kind as well. It was a wonderful Ryokan—I’d love to visit again...

    Prime Location

I stayed at Kaike Onsen for the first time in mid-April 2026. The weather was sunny with a pleasant breeze, which may have made it feel even better, but the view from our 8th-floor room was outstanding. The pristine sea and coastline with no one around were wonderful. Although it seems like an older Ryokan, the Facilities have been renovated and everything was clean, including the large public bath. We booked a plan with dinner and breakfast, and both meals were very delicious. The staff’s thoughtful service was also excellent.

    A Trip with Three Friends

I’ve visited Kaike three times, and I stayed at Kaike Onsen once 15 years ago. This was my first time here, and both the Onsen and the Room offered a full view of the ocean, which was wonderful and truly refreshing! The Onsen warmed me through to the core and improved my circulation. The head chef’s cuisine was outstanding—everything was delicious! Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your kind support!

Thank you very much for everything. We truly appreciated your thoughtful care for our child and my wife. We were completely satisfied with the crab feast, as well as the large public bath and the open-air bath. My wife and I have stayed with you often, but this was our first stay since our older child became old enough to remember it. They had such a great time, excitedly saying, “I’m so happy about the big house and the big bath!” When we got home, they even cried and said they didn’t want to leave yet—it was that hard to say goodbye. We promised our child we would come again next year, so we look forward to staying with you then! As IT systems and automation continue to advance in the name of efficiency and labor cost reduction, I believe your staff’s warm hospitality is truly invaluable. Please continue to be the same wonderful Kasuitei in the years ahead.

    Overeating and Fully Satisfied

Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious, and although we were worried if we could finish them, we did. After the evening meal, we bought some beer to enjoy in the Room but ended up taking it all home. It was unfortunate that my wife couldn't visit the large public bath due to her leg and back issues. We hope to come back again to enjoy delicious food together.

    It was great.

Located along the coastline, you can hear the sound of waves at all times, which is truly soothing. Being surrounded by the sounds of nature brings a sense of comfort. Since many people stay during the New Year holidays, it must have been challenging for the staff, and there seemed to be a shortage of personnel. The meals were delicious and generously portioned; some might find it difficult to finish everything.

    Year-end Accommodation

Every year, I stay at Yubin-kan during the New Year holidays. While I understand the recent rise in prices, I question whether the service provided is appropriate for a Ryokan in this price range. At check-in, there was no confirmation of my previous visits, and I was asked if it was my first time staying here. Shouldn't this information be checked in advance? This would never happen at a luxury Ryokan. Additionally, the bath towels, regular towels, and yukata provided were very thin and low-quality. I rarely see such items used at Ryokans in this price range. There seems to be no distinction from other establishments, which is disappointing.

    The bath is excellent.

The bath was excellent. Since the water was already diluted due to its high temperature, we decided to minimize further dilution. Upon arrival at 3 PM, we filled the tub and waited for it to reach a comfortable temperature while enjoying the large public Onsen or dining in our Room. By around 9 PM, the water had reached a slightly hot but perfect temperature. When it got too warm, we sat on the balcony chairs, listened to the sound of waves, relaxed, and then enjoyed another soak—truly a leisurely experience. After bathing, my skin felt noticeably smooth and moisturized. For dinner, we had crab that was carefully prepared for easy eating and tasted delicious. All other dishes were also delightful from start to finish. There is a lounge offering complimentary alcohol from 5 PM where you can enjoy light drinks before dinner (coffee is available from 3 PM). Breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty options; however, it was unfortunate that the rice in the pot cooled down rather quickly. We requested breakfast at 7 AM and were able to enjoy another relaxing bath afterward for an incredibly refreshing morning. If I stay in Kaike Onsen again, I would love to stay in the same Room at Kasuitei!

I stayed in the special room on the top floor. The view from the panoramic window overlooking the vast ocean was amazing, but the room's facilities felt a bit outdated and not very practical given its size. It was also disappointing that the private bath in the room was not an onsen. The biggest dissatisfaction was with the poor customer service, which was quite disappointing.

    I had a relaxing time.

We stayed here for a trip as a couple nearing our 60s. The Ryokan had a slightly aged feel, but its location right by the sea and the entrance adorned with bamboo and a flowing waterfall added to its charm. Although we checked in later than planned, the staff provided us with courteous service. The Room had hot water ready in the kettle, showcasing the Ryokan's thoughtful hospitality, which deeply impressed us. The Room was impeccably clean, and we were able to relax while enjoying the Onsen. We only had breakfast during our stay, but it offered a variety of dishes. The clam soup was especially delicious and even available for seconds. This became one of our cherished travel memories, and we would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much!
