    Conveniently located in front of the station.

    I visit Kyoto several times a year, but this was my first time staying at this hotel. It was a great opportunity to try a hotel I had always wanted to experience. While the hotel has been around for some time, the room interiors have been renovated and were comfortable. The Japanese-style breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again if I have the chance.

    Stayed again during the Gion Festival period last year. 【Room & Amenities】 The slippers were sturdy and comfortable, not the cheap disposable kind, which was a nice touch! It seems there were no cotton swabs available... 【Service】 The front desk staff provided polite service both during check-in and check-out. 【Bathroom】 There were some areas with mold; if cleaned up, it would be even more comfortable! 【Dining】 Had meals at Minokichi for two days. Since the menu is the same, switching from rice to porridge helps avoid monotony. Rice, porridge, and miso soup are all free to refill. The variety of dishes was plentiful and filling. The dish with lots of dried baby sardines was delicious!

    Excellent location

    Located right next to Kyoto Tower in front of JR Kyoto Station, this accommodation is extremely convenient. It is also close to the bus terminal and surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. The building has the appearance of a traditional Japanese tourist hotel from the Showa era, but with some renovations giving it a slightly modern feel. About 80% of the guests seemed to be from overseas, but there were no issues or inconveniences during our stay. Our room was located near the elevator on the second floor, which made access very convenient. However, there was a cleaning staff room nearby, and their morning conversations were quite noisy. A little more consideration in this regard would be appreciated. Given today's high prices, being able to enjoy a multiple night stay for four nights in May at such a reasonable rate was truly appreciated. Thank you very much!

    Excellent location near the department store basement.

    Great location. The Isetan Kyoto Station's basement food floor was excellent. Traditional bento, prepared dishes—truly impressive Kyoto quality. The morning porridge at Minokichi on the basement floor of this Hotel is highly recommended for its taste and service satisfaction.

    Spacious and absolutely perfect!

    Located right in front of the bus terminal, this accommodation is incredibly convenient, just as expected. Retro enthusiasts will also find it charming. Although we didn't use it this time, the hotel features a variety of restaurants catering to different needs, all of which seemed very popular. It appears to be frequented not only for accommodation but also for dining. What impressed us most was the room with a raised tatami seating area overlooking the station rotary. It offered a relaxing atmosphere where you could enjoy views of the city both day and night. The spaciousness and ability to lounge on tatami mats were truly delightful. The key system does not require leaving your key at the front desk; however, it is not a card key but a traditional type with one provided per room. A small yet appreciated detail was having three elevators available, ensuring quick access even from higher floors without long waits or frustration. As an old-fashioned hotel, staff were well-positioned throughout the property, providing a sense of security and comfort that goes without saying.

    Conveniently located near the station, this accommodation is ideal as a base for exploring Kyoto, Nara, and Shiga on Friday and Saturday stays. While the building seems quite old, the renovated room—a slightly spacious business twin—was satisfactory. However, soundproofing could be improved as hallway and neighboring room noises were occasionally audible. Collecting amenities and drink sets from beside the front desk after check-in felt inconvenient; while promoted as an eco-friendly measure, its actual benefit to guests is unclear. The breakfast-inclusive plan offers a choice between a Western buffet at the first-floor restaurant or a Japanese set meal at Minokichi on basement level one. The quieter atmosphere of Minokichi allows for enjoying delicious dashi-rich meals in peace. A different menu option for multiple night stays would enhance satisfaction further. Parking costs ¥1,600 per car per night—the highest hotel parking fee experienced so far—but nearby options are even more expensive. However, requiring staff assistance to open the EV shutter each time feels cumbersome; investing in remote operation or automated entry would improve convenience.     About Breakfast

    On May 11th (Sunday) around 8:20 AM, I visited the breakfast venue on the first floor. After handing over my breakfast ticket at the entrance and entering, I found no available seats for dining. Upon closer inspection, there were many tables where meals had been finished but not cleared. There seemed to be very few staff members present, and it appeared that cleaning was not being managed efficiently. While it may be due to a shortage of staff, considering that by around 9:00 AM there were 4-5 employees clearing tables, it made me wonder if this was their break time around 8:30 AM. It felt like an uncharacteristic response from Hankyu; perhaps confirming available seating at the entrance before allowing guests in would have been more appropriate.

    Love everything.

    I always stay here when visiting Osaka. I love the bath, especially the Onsen, with its relaxing open-air bath and comfortable facilities. If you enter the bathing area between 3 PM and 6 PM, you get a free drink service. Above all, the breakfast here is incredibly delicious—so good that I tend to overeat! The room is also very satisfying. Located near Kyobashi Station, it offers excellent access to anywhere you want to go. The staff's service is outstanding as well. Thank you as always; I will definitely stay again!

    The location is excellent.

    The building felt a bit aged. The peeling wallpaper on the pillar near the guest room elevator is a small detail but quite noticeable, so perhaps some improvement there would help. Cleaning was well done. The tatami raised floor in the Room might be unique for foreign guests, but with its step and limited space, it was difficult to use and ended up being used as luggage storage. Personally, I would prefer a sofa or chair with a small table instead. At check-in, the front desk staff initially seemed expressionless and curt, but later showed smiles and warmth which left a very positive impression—such a contrast felt like a missed opportunity at first!

    Great location! The breakfast was excellent!

    I searched for a Property in Kyoto for the first time and made a Reservation here. There were good and not-so-good aspects of this traditional Hotel, but the excellent transportation access and the delicious breakfast for two nights made it an excellent experience.

    It was good, but...

    Staying during the busy February long weekend We went early to leave our luggage, but an older gentleman at the front desk told us, "Please take it behind that curtain," and since no one was there, we thought it wasn't right to just leave it. We called a woman at the front desk who said, "Is this all? Then with this tag," and as soon as she handed it over, she carelessly took our luggage to another place... Is that kind of attitude acceptable? We understand it's busy. It must have been bothersome for us to come early just to drop off our luggage. Still, can't you serve with a smile? Did you think we weren't Japanese? Is it okay to treat foreigners with such a careless attitude? We are truly sorry for leaving our luggage in such a busy place. When we checked in at night, the daytime staff were gone and everyone was very accommodating. Just changing people made the hotel impression much better. The room was spacious enough for four people; it was clean and we had an enjoyable stay. In the morning, every foreign staff member we passed stopped and greeted us with a smile; it made for a pleasant experience. To those working at the front desk during the day: whether dealing with Japanese or foreigners, please be more mindful of your attitude towards customers. It's unfortunate when there are so many staff capable of providing good service in such a great location.

    This property offers good value for money.

    The lobby was filled with luxurious objects like flower carts with a Japanese taste. The staff's guidance was polite and comparable to hotels in the 40,000 to 50,000 yen per night range. The guest room had an entrance with a Ryokan-style raised floor interior (without steps) and a tatami space inside the Room, giving it the ambiance of a Ryokan full of Kyoto charm despite being a Hotel. I personally rated highly the low step from the guest room to the bathroom. The bathtub is large enough for even larger individuals to relax comfortably. Despite its very luxurious appearance, there is a mismatch in that amenities are taken individually from display shelves next to the lobby in business hotel style, which may divide opinions. The only disappointment was that there was an odor similar to damp laundry often found in business hotel bathrooms filling up inside the bathroom. It's such a nice Room but this part alone is truly regrettable.

    All the staff were very courteous in their service. The building has some areas that feel a bit old, but the cleanliness and interior design that evokes an ancient city made for a relaxing stay. Very convenient location in front of the station. I will use it again next time.

    Used during the Kyoto Marathon.

    I used it for the Kyoto Marathon. Breakfast was included and started at 7 am, but I had to leave early in the morning, so it was unfortunate that I couldn't use it. The Room had tatami mats by the window, allowing me to relax comfortably.

    Good value for money.

    It is conveniently located for sightseeing. I thought it might be an old Hotel, but it has been beautifully renovated, which was nice. The bath with a washing area was good, and they lent me a charger as I forgot my smartphone charging cable. The staff were also polite. The Room was reasonably spacious, and the bed was wide. The air purifier was a slightly old model and made some noise, but it was within a range that I could sleep. I will repeat my stay when sightseeing is the main purpose.

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station

    Even if it rains, you can reach without getting wet by going through Porta from Kyoto Station. After arriving at Kyoto Station, I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel's cloakroom and go sightseeing, so it was great to be able to enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto lightly. The room with a raised Ryukyu tatami mat area was unique and perfect for relaxing.

    Best value for money

    The primary purpose of a hotel is to provide guests with a safe and secure stay, and this property fully meets the necessary and sufficient conditions, while also being conveniently located. The rate, which includes breakfast, is remarkable. Amenities are not placed in the room but can be picked up as needed from next to the lobby, and when I requested a shower cap, it was properly provided. Being a business hotel, I found this to be sufficient for the current times.

    Check-in at 15:00. Concerned about the coldness of the room, I switched to heating, but only cold air came out. They provided a blanket and a warm air heater. After enduring for about an hour, it still didn't get warm, so I contacted them a second time. Some guests complained about being hot. They responded that the heating would be turned on around 18:30. Later, they proposed a room change. The floor I was initially guided to at check-in was chilly, but the replacement room was on a warmer floor and was slightly larger. The location in front of the station was convenient, but the walls were thin, and I could hear people talking in the hallway. I was pleased to have booked the property as the reviews were good, but I will not use it again in the future.
