    Please consider the Guest Lounge Plan carefully.

    The location was great, and the cloakroom and front desk staff provided excellent service. Great value for money. The Facility felt a bit dated, but I relaxed while reminiscing about my stay more than 15 years ago. This time I chose a Plan that included access to the guest lounge. You can take coffee and other drinks to go, but in principle drinks are meant to be enjoyed in the lounge. Of course, you can’t bring in any food either. Since the available hours didn’t fit my schedule, I couldn’t use it once during my two-night stay, and I regretted adding it. It just wasn’t a good fit for me, but it was disappointing to think that I paid for a service I couldn’t use.

    The Room was cleaner than I expected; perhaps the wallpaper has been renovated.\nI was satisfied because it offered great value for money.

    It was great!!

    Just as the Reviews said, the service was truly outstanding. And despite being close to the station, it offered great value for money. The room interior was nice, and although the building is old, it was clean. Also, even though it was a unit bath, the bathtub was spacious and I could relax comfortably. I also had dinner at Minokichi at night; it had a calm atmosphere and the food was very delicious. This Hotel was our Accommodation for a trip to Kyoto that we decided on at short notice during Golden Week, and I’m glad we chose this place. I’d like to recommend it to everyone as a Hotel worth staying at. I’m truly sad after seeing an article saying it will be closing soon.

    Drainage clogging

    This was my fourth stay in the past six months. For some reason, my Room was changed from the one originally assigned to a lower-floor Room, and then the bathroom sink drain in that Room was clogged and would not drain. In the end, I was moved back to the original Room. It was disappointing, especially since I have stayed here many times.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    This was my first stay, and the Hotel’s convenient location near the station made getting around smooth, allowing me to enjoy a fulfilling trip exactly as planned. I felt it would be even better if there were a large public bath or an in-Room bath with a washing area to help relieve travel fatigue.

    The Room was clean, but...

    As soon as I entered, I noticed a musty odor around the bathroom area and ended up using quite a lot of deodorizing spray. Breakfast was also disappointing, with no particularly distinctive menu items.

    The location was excellent.

    I booked this Accommodation at short notice with the must-have requirement of being close to the station, and it exceeded my expectations. It almost felt like a waste that I stayed only one night. My Room had a small tatami sitting area, which really enhanced the Japanese atmosphere and made it very relaxing. Since my Room faced toward the station, I couldn’t see Kyoto Tower from the Room, but stepping outside for a moment gave me a beautiful view. I had to check out early the next morning, so it was truly disappointing that I couldn’t fully enjoy the Hotel—so I’d love to choose it again next time. Also, instead of a card key, the Room key was an old-fashioned “click-to-open” type with a keychain, which felt pleasantly retro and fun to me.

    Guest Etiquette

    This time, until close to midnight, guests in the adjacent room and the room across the hall kept their doors open while talking loudly and using their phones. They also repeatedly went in and out, slamming the doors, which disturbed my sleep and was very unpleasant. I would appreciate it if you could remind guests at check-in not to behave this way. To be honest, most of this kind of disruptive behavior comes from overseas visitors, so I would like you to address it more firmly. A friend who stayed on another day mentioned experiencing something similar as well. It is disappointing because your staff work hard, but I feel I may need to refrain from recommending your Accommodation in the future.

    Following the previous month

    I stayed for two consecutive months, and everything went smoothly as we were both familiar with the process. This Hotel is more than satisfying in terms of location and value for money. If I have an event next month, I may stay again—thank you in advance.

    A raised platform area—very comfortable!

    I made a Reservation because I wanted to stay in a Room with a raised tatami area. It was wonderful to stretch out and relax somewhere other than the bed, and the panoramic view of Kyoto Station from the window made it feel truly elegant. For breakfast, I chose Minokichi’s Japanese set meal, which was absolutely delicious—I was genuinely impressed. It turned into a high-quality, memorable trip.

    First Stay at a Business Hotel

    Although my family home is in Kyoto, I booked two rooms for a relaxing stay, and both the rooms and the Japanese breakfast were better than expected for the price. The location is also right in front of the station, so I plan to stay here again next time.

    A long-established, trusted stay

    This was my first stay here. I found it as a base for a spontaneous trip to Kyoto, and the Plan was very reasonably priced despite being a long-established Hotel. As for my stay, the Facility does show its age, but the bathrooms and other water areas were clean, and the Room had a calm atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money. The best point of this Hotel is its proximity to Kyoto Station. It is located directly in front of Kyoto Station across the street. It was a cold day, but there was an entrance leading underground right outside the Hotel; going down from there took me into an underground shopping area connected to Kyoto Station, which helped me avoid the cold. At night, after going out for dinner around Kyoto Station, I enjoyed the illuminated grand staircase inside the station, the beautifully lit Kyoto Tower visible from the skywalk, and projection mapping displayed on interior walls. For breakfast, I could choose between a restaurant buffet and a Japanese set meal by Minokichi; I chose the buffet. The taste was excellent, but while there were many Japanese options, there were fewer Western choices and it felt somewhat lacking in volume. The front desk staff provided polite and pleasant service—just what you would expect from an established Hotel. Since I drove my own car, I also made a Reservation for parking. However, because the parking system stores cars underground via an elevator and the entrance is narrow, getting in and out was nerve-racking. Overall, it’s a Hotel I would like to use again—but next time I plan not to drive.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    The Accommodation was close to Kyoto Station, making it very convenient for getting to sightseeing spots. All the staff were kind and responded quickly, which made our stay very pleasant. We really enjoyed the Minokichi breakfast we had been looking forward to—it was just as expected, delicious, and very satisfying. One disappointing point was that all the Room slippers were for the right foot. We stayed as a pair, but all four slippers were right-footed...

    The front desk and l...

    The front desk and luggage storage staff showed no smiles at all. All the staff were unfriendly. There was no staff at the luggage storage reception, and a front desk staff member assisted instead, but despite being visible, they took a long time to respond. It was only when I moved to approach the front desk that they finally came over to assist me. Looking around at all the front desk staff, I noticed that a male staff member in his 50s responded with a smile, but all other staff members were unfriendly in their responses. The only exception was the lounge reception staff who provided polite service. Additionally, there were two strands of hair and multiple pieces of trash in the bathtub. I have stayed at many accommodations before, but this is the first time I encountered so much trash in a bathtub. Taking a shower under these conditions made me feel very uncomfortable.

    A very convenient Hotel located in front of the station.

    I used this accommodation for a memorial service in Kyoto. It was close to the station and right in front of the bus terminal, so I used the bus for transportation the next day. Although I was concerned about how it would be in cold Kyoto, they kindly stored my luggage, which was very helpful. The room was simple yet stylish, and I would like to stay here again.

    After the banquet

    I stayed at the accommodation because I missed the last train after a banquet. The convenience and cost performance were excellent. I was very disappointed to hear that it will close in one year. I requested a room with a separate bath and toilet, which was comfortable, but there was no drain in the upper part of the bathtub, and since it was combined with the washroom, water from the shower flowed to the floor of the washroom. Despite this, I would still like to use this accommodation again if given the chance.

    A convenient Hotel with excellent service near Kyoto Station.

    Conveniently located near the station with a convenience store right in front, offering an excellent location. There is also a lounge available for use on the checkout day for just 500 yen, and the service is exceptional. The bathtub is spacious, allowing you to stretch out comfortably. Breakfast can be enjoyed in a calm atmosphere at Minokichi (available for one day). It was truly a memorable experience.

    The air conditioning is not working.

    This is my third stay. I liked the convenient location near the station and good service, but depending on the Room, the air conditioning doesn't work well, making it feel like being outside in winter. For two stays in a row, I ended up with such Rooms. During my first stay, I couldn't sleep at night because it was so cold and had to request a Room change the next day. This time, I thought it might happen again but decided to endure it. While there is some warm air coming from under the air conditioning unit, the Room itself remains very cold. My friend's Room was normally warm, which makes this issue even more disappointing. It’s shocking enough that I might not choose this place again in the future. I strongly recommend checking if all Rooms have properly functioning air conditioning that heats evenly throughout each space.

    As expected from a long-established accommodation, the service is excellent. The room is equipped with a unit bath. While newer hotels often have separate bath and toilet facilities, this was not the case here. However, everything else was great—the location near the station is perfect, right in front of a convenience store, making it an ideal environment for staying in Kyoto.

    Stayed for the first time.

    I had previously visited the restaurant but stayed at the accommodation for the first time this time. The location is close to the station, and I was looking for a room with separate bath and toilet. The room had been renovated, and the price was reasonable, so I chose this accommodation from several options. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathtub was also large enough to enjoy a relaxing soak. From the window, I could see the station building with a nice view. The amenities in the room were convenient to use. I liked that guests could take only as many toiletries as needed, which felt waste-free. A few points of concern: - The water pressure in the sink was weak. - The room key was not a card key but one per room, which might be inconvenient for those moving separately within their group. - I couldn't find bath towels initially; when I called reception, they informed me they were in a basket under the sink, but they weren't there. Later on, staff delivered them to my room; however, when preparing for my bath afterward, I found them on top of a shelf inside the bathroom where it’s hard to notice due to being out of sight when opening its door—possibly misplaced by cleaning staff or miscommunicated by reception staff? In most hotels with separate baths/toilets like this one though such items are usually placed outside bathrooms making access clearer overall. Both before check-in & after checkout luggage storage services allowed me freedom during stays! Overall satisfied experience—would consider staying again if opportunities arise!

    A wonderful Hotel with an excellent location.

    Everything was wonderful. Especially, being able to see Kyoto Station during breakfast was amazing, and I truly enjoyed starting my morning that way. However, there was one disappointing point regarding the way the receipt was handed over. Normally, it would be presented for confirmation before being placed in an envelope and handed over, but this time it was simply printed, stamped, and handed directly without any confirmation. Could it be that the quality of service dropped slightly because I am a foreigner?

    Connecting Room

    I have stayed in the Moderate Twin Connecting Room at this hotel multiple times, and I absolutely love how comfortable it is. Since we always stay as a group of four, this room is perfect for us. The housekeeping staff always greet us with a smile, and the front desk team is consistently very kind and helpful. They handle courier services and suitcase shipping procedures smoothly, which is very convenient. This time, I was also pleased with their friendly response to my early check-in request via email before our stay. The location is excellent and convenient, and I definitely want to stay here again. Next time, I would love to dine at the restaurant on the first floor!

    The breakfast was excellent.

    For our two-night stay, we enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast on the first morning and Kyoto-style Japanese breakfast on the second. It was great to have different options to choose from. The buffet seemed more popular as it was crowded, while the Japanese breakfast area was quiet.
