    It was a memorable accommodation.

    This was my first business trip to Aomori, and after reading Reviews, I chose to stay at Kaosenkaku. The view of Mutsu Bay from the Room was even more breathtaking than I imagined, and the sunset was truly soothing. At dinner, we enjoyed Nebuta Festival hand dances, folk songs, Tsugaru shamisen performances, and dancing—since we didn’t have time to go sightseeing, it made our stay feel like a full Aomori experience!! Next time, I’d love to visit again and take my time exploring as well. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    Although there were various events, the Room was average, and the futon was very thin, so it was not very comfortable to sleep on. The meals were filling, but there was nothing particularly memorable or delicious.

    Wonderful meals, lovely accommodation

    It was a wonderful Accommodation for both dinner and breakfast. My spouse and I were able to relax and take our time on our trip. We really enjoyed it. There were also families traveling with three generations, so the dinner venue was lively. While we felt consideration was given, we thought having options such as private dining rooms for guests with small children would make it even easier for us to use in the future. The Onsen bath area was clean and comfortable, making for an elegant one-night stay. Thank you very much.

    The lively night vibe is the best.

    We stayed with the Plan that includes the Nebuta show. The food, the Room, and the hospitality from all the staff were excellent. In addition, the shamisen performance and show in the lobby were wonderful and made our travel memories even more unforgettable. The Nebuta festival experience left us out of breath, but it was a lot of fun.

    We thoroughly enjoyed Aomori.

    Thank you for taking care of us during Golden Week. My post is a bit late, but thank you again for your hospitality at that time. It was my first visit to Aomori Prefecture, and I arrived at the Accommodation with high expectations. The warm welcome, the Aomori-inspired decor in the lobby, and the spacious Room really lifted my spirits. Since the weather happened to be nice between rainy days, I went straight to the bath hoping to enjoy the sunset. The bath was wonderful with great views, but unfortunately clouds covered the sunset. Still, the scenery was amazing. The buffet had so many dishes that I couldn’t possibly try them all—I left completely satisfied. Everything was delicious. After that, there was a Tsugaru shamisen live performance. It was my first time hearing it in person, and it gave me goosebumps. I felt the breakfast buffet was even better than dinner. The staff’s hospitality was excellent, and it’s an Accommodation I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Exceeded expectations. An Accommodation where you can fully enjoy the unique charm of Aomori.

    Perhaps because it was a weekday right after a holiday period, the first thing I noticed was how satisfied I felt for the price. Accommodation Fees have been rising across the whole country lately, but at this level of service, it felt like excellent value for money. The view of Mutsu Bay from the Japanese-style room on an upper floor was wonderful, and I was able to spend a truly relaxing time. The calm atmosphere you’d expect from an Onsen Ryokan made it perfect for unwinding after work. What impressed me most was the food. It was buffet-style, but the quality was high, and I could enjoy ingredients that felt distinctly Aomori. There was also a live kitchen, and everything was so satisfying that I ended up eating more than I planned. The Tsugaru shamisen performance after dinner was also fantastic. It wasn’t just entertainment—it felt like an authentic Aomori experience and became a memorable part of the trip. I really appreciated how much care they put into showcasing local culture. It may be different in style from a lavish luxury Ryokan, but considering the Onsen, meals, views, and even cultural experiences from Aomori, this Accommodation delivered outstanding satisfaction overall. If you’re looking for an Accommodation around Aomori City, this is one place I can confidently recommend.

    Highly service-minded

    I had a great time at Jawamegi Night. Even though it was a weekday and not very crowded, I was impressed by how they went all out to make it enjoyable. I’m glad I got to hear the Tsugaru shamisen, too. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, so I was very satisfied. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

    The view from the Room, the food, and the service all exceeded our expectations. One thing: if the ocean-facing tables at dinner were first-come, first-served, I would have liked to know that in advance.

    Excellent!

    When we arrived at Asamushi Onsen, it was cold and raining, but luckily we were able to take the complimentary Shuttle Service. We could have walked, but we were tired and it really helped us avoid getting wet. After check-in, we enjoyed snacks and juice at the free drink corner, and there was alcohol available in the evening as well. From our Room, we had a front-facing view of Yunoshima Island, and the Room was clean and spacious. We were also surprised to find a bath in the Room with natural Onsen water. The Onsen baths in the building were large and spotless, with a semi-open-air bath too; seeing the ocean made the morning bath especially wonderful. The provided hair dryer was a high-end ReFa model, which left our hair silky smooth. The free Tsugaru shamisen live performance at night was moving, the food was delicious, and all of the staff were kind—this has become an Onsen Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. It exceeded our expectations for the price.

    I’m truly glad I visited Tsugaru.

    I traveled by train from Misawa Airport, and on the way back I took the train from Asamushi-Onsen Station to Aomori, then flew home from Aomori Airport. The meals were delicious, and the bath offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait, Mutsu Bay, and the Tsugaru Peninsula. The Room also had a kotatsu with an ocean view, so I could quietly enjoy the scenery while having a drink. All of the dining shows were very entertaining. The next day I visited “Nebuta no Ie Wa Rasse” at Aomori Station, which helped me truly understand how impressive the Nebuta Festival is. I had always wanted to see the Tsugaru Strait—everything was wonderful.

    This type of accommodation feels relaxing.

    I chose Asamushi Onsen on a whim simply because it’s easy to reach by train from Aomori Station, but it turned into a wonderful trip that exceeded my expectations. From check-in onward, I could feel the staff’s thoughtful care, and that warm hospitality never wavered until my departure the next morning. Drinks, alcohol, and snacks were complimentary; I went back for refills a few times and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the hot apple juice was. The entire Accommodation was spotless down to every detail, and dinner was excellent—great food across the board, satisfying drinks, and enjoyable conversation from the staff. The Jawameki Night event and shamisen performance were also outstanding, with heartfelt hospitality from the staff performers. This was a lovely Accommodation that reminded me what a truly great Japanese Onsen stay should be like.

    The lobby where we checked in was lovely. The staff were kind and gave clear, polite explanations. The welcome drink was delicious. The bath on the top floor was divided into a hot bath and a lukewarm bath. I started with the lukewarm bath to get used to it, then moved to the hot bath, and finally the open-air bath. It warmed me up wonderfully. We chose 6:00 PM for dinner. It was a half-buffet with a wide variety of dishes. The senbei-jiru soup was delicious. I wanted to try the beef stew served from 6:30 PM, but I was so full I couldn’t—what a shame. The Room had a great view, with the ocean right in front of us. I couldn’t decide whether to relax at the sunken kotatsu, sit in the single chair with an ottoman, or lean back on soft cushions at the table. The floor chair also had good height and was very comfortable. The shamisen live performance at night was wonderful as well. Breakfast was also buffet-style. We ate plenty of fresh salad, tasty apple juice, sashimi, and more. The yogurt was so good it’s unforgettable. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. I’d love to stay again.

    Complete relaxation for both body and mind

    From the pick-up service to the Room and even the live kitchen staff during dinner, the hospitality was very polite and pleasant! The half-buffet style dinner was highly satisfying, offering both great taste and ample portions. The bath in the morning provided a stunning ocean view, allowing for a serene experience of watching the sky gradually brighten. Despite being during an exceptionally rare long-lasting cold wave, it was a highly satisfying stay. Thank you very much!

    Relax and unwind.

    I was initially a bit concerned about the meals compared to the live kitchen at Jawameki Night, but I was completely satisfied. I ended up eating too much because it was so delicious. Of course, I also thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The bath had wonderful water that warmed me to the core. Thank you for kindly providing transportation to Asamushi Aquarium the next day as well. I truly appreciate all your hospitality!

    Simply amazing!

    I stayed at the accommodation in mid-December on a rainy day. Although I planned to walk a few minutes from Asamushi Onsen Station with an umbrella, I was pleasantly surprised to find a car waiting for me outside the station, saying, "Since it's raining." This thoughtful gesture moved me deeply. Every staff member I encountered at the front desk and other areas was incredibly kind and welcoming, making my stay completely pleasant without any discomfort. After checking out, I requested a taxi to go to Asamushi Aquarium. Instead, the hotel provided shuttle service with their car and even picked me up from the aquarium back to the station—this thoughtful service left me impressed until the very end. The onsen water was wonderfully warming, and every dish featuring fresh seafood was exceptional. The Tsugaru Shamisen live performance combined with historical storytelling truly touched my heart. This accommodation offered outstanding service by doing simple things like greeting warmly or being considerate of guests' perspectives—things that should be natural but are done so genuinely here. It reminded me that this is what makes an accommodation truly great. Thank you very much!

    We would have appreciated a thorough explanation at check-in.

    Stayed for a 2-night, 3-day trip. ① Despite the multiple night stay, when we returned to the room on the first evening, the futon was still laid out, which was shocking. I travel about three times a month and have never stayed at an accommodation that skips cleaning without asking if it’s needed during a multiple night stay. If cleaning is not provided, this should be explained at check-in. ② After checking in and attempting to change clothes immediately, we found only samue (traditional Japanese loungewear). It was labeled as "free size," but when my husband tried it on, it didn’t fit at all—it was far too small. My husband is 177 cm tall. Normally accommodations would prepare male and female sizes based on guest information beforehand. When I called the front desk about this issue, they told me to pick up another one near an elevator three floors down instead of bringing it to us themselves—even though this mistake wasn’t ours! Usually such issues are resolved by delivering items directly to guests’ rooms. ③ Later during dinner time, there were no haori jackets available in our room either; it felt cold without them while dining. However other guests seemed dressed warmly wearing both yukata robes alongside haori jackets—were these pre-stocked inside their rooms? Or did they retrieve them elsewhere? Regardless neither existed within ours nor instructions provided explaining where-to-find any essentials like these upon arrival/check-ins! The steak, sushi, beef stew, pasta, butter-grilled scallops—all were of a quality comparable to course meals. Each dish was carefully prepared with great attention to detail. Breakfast was also packed with fresh seafood, and despite eating so much at night, I found myself craving more in the morning. It was truly an exceptional dining experience. ◯Onsen Spacious and open—thanks to its size, there’s no sense of crowding. You can choose between hotter or milder baths and enjoy soaking at your own pace. Bathing while gazing out at the expansive ocean view is pure luxury. There’s also an outdoor bath where you can enjoy the refreshing open air—it was absolutely perfect. ◯Lounge The lounge offers welcome drinks like apple juice during the day and free-flow sake in the evening—a delightful touch that reflects Aomori's charm. The staff provided exceptionally attentive service, making it a memorable part of our trip. From Aomori Station to Asamushi Onsen via Aoimori Railway takes about one train per hour; checking the timetable is recommended for those traveling by train. This accommodation is truly worth visiting even if it requires going out of your way—a wonderful place indeed!

    This was my first stay after the renovation, and as always, the delicious meals were even better than before. The Japanese course meal at Jawameki Night was full of autumn flavors and truly enjoyable. Additionally, the performances were excellent.

    I stayed at the accommodation after several years, and the dining area had been renovated. Additionally, the mini Tsugaru Shamisen concert had been replaced with a Nebuta event. It was a very lively event, which I think families with small children would find very enjoyable. However, for an older couple like us, it felt a bit too lively, and it would have been nice to enjoy a quieter dining experience, especially since the food was delicious. The dishes were reasonably priced, so I had no expectations, but the breakfast buffet was well-prepared and very tasty. The room and the large public bath offered a refreshing view of the sea, which was delightful. However, I think it would be great to have a private onsen with a sea view, even if it comes with an additional fee, to fully enjoy both the onsen and the scenery. The outdoor bath in the large public bath was small, and groups of people were taking turns resting, making it feel like it was reserved for them. Unfortunately, there was no space for us to enter, which was disappointing. The staff at the accommodation were mostly young and hardworking, leaving a very positive impression. Although it is quite far from the Kanto region, I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.

    We stayed here for a family trip and had a wonderful experience. The Onsen was excellent, with not only amazing views and water but also beautiful blue-themed wall decorations. The dinner buffet was slightly crowded (understandable as popular dishes tend to attract people), but the food was all very delicious, and my family seemed very satisfied. The Hotel's dedication to preserving Tsugaru's traditional arts was evident throughout, which we truly appreciated. The staff were kind and helpful, making our stay memorable. We hope to visit again someday. Thank you!

    A very nice accommodation.

    I stayed for a total of 3 nights. The suite was only for the last night, so I also used the public bath. The public bath was clean and very nice, but the open-air bath in the Room was exceptional. I had high expectations for the fish dishes, and both breakfast and dinner exceeded them without becoming repetitive—everything was delicious. The staff were very pleasant, and I would love to stay here again.

    The room facilities and staff service are above average. The meals exceeded expectations and were exceptional, so much so that I ended up overeating. The post-dinner entertainment was lively and enjoyed by all the guests, including myself. I will recommend this place to my friends.

    Exquisite meals and stunning views

    Dinner was a buffet featuring appetizers made with Aomori ingredients. Each appetizer was carefully prepared and delicious. The live kitchen offered various options, which were very satisfying. From both the Room and the bath, you could enjoy a great view of Yunoshima Island. At night, there was a Tsugaru Shamisen performance that was very enjoyable.

    It was truly amazing!

    Perfect in every way. My first time visiting Aomori, Asamushi Onsen, and experiencing Japan's summer and the Nebuta Festival in my late 50s. The main goal of this trip was the Nebuta Festival, and I was deeply moved by it! On top of that, the support environment for this trip was flawless! Blessed with great weather. The seafood here surpasses even Hokkaido in taste. Aomori still seems untouched by overtourism; you can enjoy ingredients loved by local citizens rather than those prepared just for tourists. Watched fireworks in Goshogawara one night and experienced the real Nebuta the next evening! After thoroughly enjoying myself, returning to Kaisenkaku was pure comfort. It turned out to be a truly wonderful trip.

    Meals, Onsen, Live Performances + Ocean View

    Overall, it was a highly satisfying Onsen Ryokan. Everything was enjoyable, but the highlight would be the live entertainment. The Tsugaru Shamisen and hand dance performance (Shimoyama Troupe) along with the Nebuta live show offered high artistic value and an interactive experience that was truly delightful. The three-generation collaboration of the Shimoyama Troupe was particularly impressive. Experiencing such quality entertainment while staying at a comfortable Onsen Ryokan will surely remain a lasting memory.
