    Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.

    It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The Room was impeccably cleaned down to every detail, and all the staff were attentive and kind. As for the meals, it felt like they were committed to serving local specialties, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. In particular, our older child prefers to eat the same dishes as adults, so we really appreciated that even as an elementary school student they were served the same menu. Our younger child has an intellectual disability and normally will not touch anything served outside the home at all, but it must have been exceptionally good—there were several dishes they actually tried here. We also loved touches like the private bath and complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. The private bath especially was very spacious and relaxing—far beyond what you would expect to be available free of charge. In addition, partway through our stay our younger child became quite unwell (vomiting, etc.), which caused you a lot of trouble, but each time everyone responded quickly and graciously. We are truly grateful. We would love to stay again once things have settled down.

    Wonderful

    We stayed during the Marine Day three-day weekend.\nIt was a hot, sunny day, but upon arrival we were greeted warmly and impressed by the smooth valet parking—truly the quality you’d expect from a luxury Accommodation.\nThe front desk procedures and guidance were clear and courteous. We were shown to our Room with care, and both the in-room amenities and the private open-air bath were spacious. The natural Onsen water was crystal clear, allowing us to relax and unwind at length. Dinner was a kaiseki course that felt far beyond “standard”—everything was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, and we especially enjoyed comparing different types of Yaizu’s famous shaved bonito flakes. We reluctantly prepared to leave and checked out.\nThis is an Accommodation we definitely want to plan a Reservation for again next time.

    Exceptional hospitality

    Drawn in by the wonderful Reviews, we visited and found an Accommodation even better than we had hoped! The spacious Room offers an open, airy feel with sweeping harbor views through two large glass windows—pure luxury to unwind in a deck chair at dusk while enjoying the sea breeze. The interior blends Japanese and Western styles beautifully, the semi-open-air bath is easy to use, and the Reservation-only private open-air bath was even more spacious than expected. For dinner, we dined in a private room featuring a huge lion painting by Japanese painter Untei Takahashi, and enjoyed local and seasonal dishes such as a tuna tasting and the famous deep-fried tuna collar. The next morning was just as delightful, with fun Yaizu touches like comparing different shaved bonito flakes and savoring bonito broth. Above all, the warm hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation truly soothed our hearts and made this an unforgettable trip. We hope to return again soon.

    I stayed here on a trip with friends from junior college for the first time in 10 years. Thank you so much—everything was wonderful, from the Shuttle Service and the Onsen to the meals. I am truly sorry that I forgot the inari sushi you kindly made for our late-night snack after leaving it in the refrigerator.

    Impeccable service

    I happened to find an available Room and made a Reservation. The service from everyone at the Accommodation was excellent, and the Room facilities and cleanliness were impeccable. The meals were also very satisfying—I can’t think of anything more to add. I would definitely like to stay again.

    It was wonderful. The meals were delicious and creative, and the service by the Japanese proprietresses made us feel at ease and able to relax. The location is near Yaizu City Hall; there is no Onsen town nearby, but I still recommend it. The water is alkaline and salty. We had a great time—thank you very much.

    Our family's traditi...

    Our family's tradition is to end each year with a trip to Accommodation Teika, and this year was no exception. While there have been accommodations we've visited multiple times only to grow tired of or notice disappointing aspects, Teika always remains consistently wonderful in the best way. At the same time, they subtly introduce new things—whether it's items, services, or experiences—that feel like a delightful treasure hunt to discover. Their thoughtful approach truly resonates with visitors. On a personal note, I was fortunate enough to spend my birthday at Teika this year. Not only was that special in itself, but receiving heartfelt messages and thoughtful gifts made me incredibly happy. As I pass certain milestones in life and face physical challenges or consider travel logistics more carefully, meeting everyone at Teika has given me kindness and energy that inspire me to look forward to visiting again next year. I feel refreshed and recharged after what we call our "annual soul cleansing," so I'm ready for another great year ahead. Thank you very much!

    Wonderful Accommodation

    It was a wonderful accommodation. The hospitality was exceptional, allowing us to feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. The towels and samue were soft to the touch, and thoughtful details like a large mirror for makeup in the bathroom, cute toothbrush holders, and adorable scrunchies as hair ties impressed me with their attention to detail, especially appealing to women. Welcome desserts of warabi mochi were prepared in the refrigerator, along with a greeting letter from the hostess. The tasteful and charming decorations in the room and dining area also brought a sense of comfort. The onsen experience was delightful; the private bath with its rock design felt amazing, while the open-air bath in our room allowed us to relax while gazing at stars or enjoying views of the garden. Both dinner and breakfast offered an extensive variety of dishes that were incredibly delicious. The tableware was high-quality and stylish, adding even more excitement to our meals. After dinner, they even delivered inari sushi as a late-night snack directly to our room—a lovely service! We hardly encountered other guests during our stay, allowing us to enjoy peace and tranquility throughout. I would definitely love to visit again!

    Onsen Accommodation by the Port

    An Onsen accommodation located close to the port in the harbor town of Yaizu. Stayed in a room with a semi-open-air bath. Upon check-in, we were guided to a family bath in the garden and enjoyed it thoroughly, along with the bath in our room. The attendant was a man from Bali, Indonesia, who spoke excellent Japanese and was very kind. We also had interesting conversations about Bali. The meals were delicious, and since I can't handle large portions, some dishes were adjusted for me. As expected from a fishing port, the fish was incredibly fresh and tasty. The next day, we enjoyed a special privilege of relaxing until 11 AM before checking out. It’s an ideal place for those who want to unwind without much interference.

    Modern and chic

    The private Onsen is a highlight. On this day, we were assigned the "Takeru" bath out of the two private Onsen options. The granite bathtub was very clean with an abundant flow of hot water. There was a faint scent of the sea, and the garden featuring bamboo and Himeshara trees was beautifully designed. The white flowers of the Himeshara in full bloom added visual delight. The open-air bath in our room was also excellent. Since the Onsen experience was so enjoyable, it would be great to have a towel warmer if only one bath towel is provided. It would also be nice to have mineral water in the refrigerator, especially considering there is locally sourced deep-sea water available. Dinner portions were more than sufficient; we even struggled to finish some dishes like the signature fried tuna collar. However, while local fish and spring vegetable dishes were served, they lacked flavor as if not enough dashi had been used and felt watery overall. Additionally, there could have been more vibrant presentation for better appeal. That said, the late-night Inari sushi with its plump and large fried tofu skin was absolutely delicious. The room itself was clean and comfortable with a simple layout connecting toilet, sink area, shower booth, and bath seamlessly—very user-friendly design overall. Unfortunately though, small scratches on corners of low tables as well as floorboards or washbasin stood out noticeably; these could likely be fixed easily using oil stain products from hardware stores without needing professional help. Calling reception desk “Choba” (traditional term) alongside incorporating reclaimed wood beams/pillars into guestroom designs reflects admirable dedication towards preserving cultural heritage while blending modern chic aesthetics perfectly! Thank you for your hospitality—it has been much appreciated!

    Not a flashy tourist spot, but a luxurious accommodation in historic Yaizu.

    We visited during the pleasant weather of Golden Week in May 2025. This charming accommodation, with a history spanning over 150 years, has evolved from Shimodaro and Yaizu Hotel to its renewal in 2009. It is located in the seaside fishing town of Yaizu, where Koizumi Yakumo spent many summers. Although situated right next to Yaizu Port, we enjoyed a peaceful stay. We explored attractions such as Hanazawa no Sato, Oigawa Fishing Port's Sakura Shokudo, the Koizumi Yakumo Memorial Museum in Yaizu, Shin-Sui Park Fishuna with views of Mt. Fuji, Yaizu Shrine, and the Yaizu Fish Market Center. We also purchased "Otsuna" from TUNALABO as a souvenir. The dinner was delightful with dishes like deep-fried tuna collarbone and breakfast included tuna sashimi and a comparison tasting of dried bonito flakes. Each room featured an open-air bath using Yaizu Kuroshio Onsen water for added relaxation. Before our visit, we requested brochures online from the Commerce and Tourism Division at Yaizu City Hall which was very helpful. Minato no Yado Teiya is highly recommended for your stay!

    It was relaxing.

    I stayed for one night during the Golden Week holiday. In the Room, I was able to relax, have conversations, read books, listen to music, and enjoy a bath. The weather was great, and having tea on the sofa in the garden was delightful. During that time, a friendly cat that seemed to live outside came over—be aware of its friendliness! The meals were very satisfying in taste; however, the portions felt slightly large. It might be a good idea to request adjustments in advance according to your appetite (a late-night snack was also provided).

    A wonderful accommodation.

    It was my first time staying here, and the accommodation had a cozy atmosphere that felt like home. The staff were very kind. The room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful touches such as a handwritten letter from the hostess, a shelf decorated with Hina dolls, and handmade scented sachets in the restroom. I felt warmly welcomed. The open-air bath in the room was delightful. Meals included plenty of local fish, and the specialty deep-fried tuna collar was exceptional. Although there were so many dishes that I thought I might not finish them all, I ended up eating everything. This time it was just my spouse and me, but next time we would love to come back with our children and grandchildren. Thank you very much!

    Perfect for families!

    We stayed as a group of six, including my parents in their 80s and my sister's family. My parents have knee issues, so we were looking for a spacious room where we could stay together and assist them if needed. The accommodation was conveniently located near the interchange, and the meals were almost entirely finished. The room was flat, spacious, had a comfortable bed height, and even included a living area. Most importantly, the toilet had handrails, allowing my parents to feel at home. They enjoyed relaxing while taking in views of the port or going for walks without taking their usual naps. The staff at the accommodation were very kind and created a warm atmosphere. My parents said they would love to visit again after returning home, so this has become an accommodation we'd like to revisit during another season. Thank you very much!

    A warm and welcoming accommodation.

    The cuisine at this accommodation pairs perfectly with sake, and the fried tuna collar was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions that left us completely satisfied. We stayed in a detached room, which was quiet and allowed us to fully enjoy the private bath in the room as much as we liked. The reservation for the private onsen was only available until 11 PM from our arrival time, and we could only book it for the last slot. Since it’s too dark to enjoy the garden view at night, it would be nice if morning slots were available as well. Also, while I understand cost considerations, I would appreciate having razors with at least four blades instead of two blades provided. The staff's service was kind and attentive; a young man who served our meals worked diligently and left a positive impression on us. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    A warm "Welcome back!"

    A visit after a few months. We are always grateful for the hospitality that understands us so well. The "Welcome back" from the Room hostess always makes us happy. The linens and other amenities are clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. It was just a few days after my birthday, and the staff's warm "Happy Birthday" wishes made me feel incredibly happy. Thank you so much! As always, we enjoyed unique dishes like tuna tasting and fried simmered tuna collar, which are specialties of Tenyoya. On both days of our stay, we had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji from our window—truly the best time spent here. We look forward to visiting again!

My husband and I always say that the property we stay at in the last month of the year has to be Stays.
