    Highly satisfied.

    Everything was absolutely satisfying. The room's open-air bath was spacious and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and it was an accommodation I would definitely want to visit again. The walking path leading to the coast had adorable cats, and watching the morning feeding of kites was enjoyable. The staff were very pleasant, making it a truly relaxing stay.

    A Ryokan near the sea, offering satisfying scenery and cuisine.

    The meal portions were just right for someone my age, and the flavors were not overly complex, allowing the natural taste of the ingredients to shine through—perfect for my palate. The ocean view was truly refreshing for the soul. Although some pollen (possibly from trees) had fallen onto my car, I was delighted that a staff member kindly cleaned it off before my departure.

    The meals are excellent!!

    The seasoning of every dish was very delicious. Each dish was carefully prepared and creatively presented. The sashimi boat platter made everyone cheer with excitement, and the presentation was beautiful. The Room was comfortable, clean, and easy to relax in, while the bath had a charming atmosphere that our whole family loved. We also enjoyed feeding the kites and spending time with the cats; my daughter and grandchildren had so much fun. It was a peaceful stay. Thank you very much!

    I was very satisfied.

    We stayed for one night from August 14th. The entire accommodation had tatami flooring, making it easy to walk around, and the room was very clean. The furniture used was also lovely. The view was great, and our whole family was impressed. After checking in, we took a stroll near the seaside and lighthouse after a short rest. Dinner had so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all, and everything was delicious. The large public bath seemed to have slightly fewer washing areas than expected, but it was well-maintained and clean. Breakfast with fish and other dishes was also very tasty. Feeding the black kites (tobi) was an exciting experience with lots of impact! This accommodation is one where the staff's excellent service stood out, making it one of the places we’d love to visit again. Highly recommended accommodation! Thank you very much!

    It was a good accommodation.

    A cozy accommodation with satisfying facilities and meals, along with exceptional hospitality. The distance from the sea was just right. Although it was a bit disappointing that the semi-open-air bath attached to the room was not an onsen, the large public bath with a jacuzzi was very pleasant. Walking barefoot throughout the facility, including in the rooms and hallways, was also a nice touch. Meals served in-room at table seating allowed for a relaxed dining experience. This is an accommodation I would definitely like to visit again. At check-in, filling out all details such as name and address was required despite having provided this information through the reservation site beforehand. It would be appreciated if there were a system where this could be pre-printed in advance.

    Everything was below expectations.

    Weekday stay for one night costs just under 60,000 yen per person. I made a reservation because the reviews were good. Although I have been mostly satisfied with accommodations booked through IKYU at similar or lower prices, this time was disappointing, so I am writing my first review. First of all, the room had an unpleasant smell. It was a room with a private bath, but only one bath towel per person was provided. During bedtime, there was a constant "Voooo" noise coming from somewhere that was very loud and uncomfortable. It made it hard to fall asleep at night and caused me to wake up unnecessarily early in the morning. Even after turning off all switches in the room like air conditioning and ventilation fans, the noise did not stop. Regarding the onsen in the public bath area: it is circulated water and does not offer views of the sea or scenery from its open-air bath. The private bath in my room is not an onsen either; despite looking forward to it most of all, it turned out to be disappointing as well. There is even a note by the bathtub saying "Do not remove the drain plug." This is my first time staying at accommodation where you cannot freely adjust your own bathtub water when it's not even an onsen. As for meals: based on other reviews mentioning "sea bream rice," I had been looking forward to it but instead got "new ginger rice." While I understand changes in ingredients can happen, there’s too much difference between sea bream and new ginger—it left me very disappointed. The salad leaves served alongside dinner were discolored brown at their cut edges but were still presented as-is without issue. Unless you specifically choose meat dishes during meal selection options beforehand, no meat will be included otherwise. The miso soup served during both dinner and breakfast lacked flavor entirely—not because of subtle tastes like natural ingredients or dashi stock—but simply because it was far too bland overall. I had also anticipated fresh orange juice for breakfast; however what they provided tasted nothing close to fresh juice which left me disappointed again—being someone who regularly orders various citrus-based straight juices online makes such differences noticeable immediately upon tasting them. One positive aspect outside: there were cats around which brought joy! However some appeared thin so when asked if they’re fed properly staff replied “They eat leftovers from feeding birds (kites) every morning.” Knowing these ear-tipped cats contribute so much yet aren’t given proper cat food saddened me deeply. In conclusion (personal opinion): overall quality does NOT match its price point whatsoever—there wasn’t anything particularly outstanding about this stay either unfortunately highlighting low standards throughout making this experience regrettably unsatisfactory altogether especially considering expectations set beforehand!

    Recommended Accommodations

    I stayed here with my female friend during a summer trip. This is a cozy and tranquil accommodation, highly recommended for adults. My room was upgraded this time as well. The hallways are covered with tatami mats, providing a pleasant atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared with many dishes, all of which were delicious. It’s an accommodation I would love to revisit.

    A relaxing accommodation to enjoy, with scenic views, kite feeding, and tatami corridors.

    Located right next to Suzaki Lighthouse, the room offers a view of the lighthouse (the illuminated lighthouse at night is also beautiful). What impressed us the most was that the entire accommodation (including inside the elevator) had flooring resembling tatami mats, which was very clean and comfortable to walk on even barefoot (though tabi socks and slippers are also provided). In addition, participating in feeding black kites on the balcony in the morning was a unique experience that left a lasting impression. The large public bath and indoor bath (with shoulder massage function) were clean and very comfortable. All staff members were kind and attentive, making both my wife and me feel truly relaxed from start to finish. Meals were served in our room for both breakfast and dinner, with excellent service provided by our assigned attendant. (We traveled by car, and upon departure, they not only saw us off but even cleaned our car windows.) We would definitely love to visit again when we go to Tateyama!

    This time, it was just my husband and me, but we have stayed here more than 10 times before, including trips with my parents. Every visit exceeds our expectations, making us look forward to planning our next stay. Previously, it was difficult to reserve a Japanese-Western style room, but now that standard Japanese-style rooms have been converted into Japanese-Western style rooms as well, we were able to book one even for a Saturday stay. We stayed in an ocean-view room with an indoor bath type; the large bathtub with water flowing over the shoulders was incredibly relaxing. The renovated room was absolutely beautiful. Additionally, unlike other ryokans where dishes like Ise lobster and abalone are extra menu items, they are included in the standard course here. The sashimi served on a boat platter for two was incredibly fresh. The breakfast featuring dried fish, salad with special dressing, and Chiba-produced soybean natto was all delicious. Seasonal new menu items were also delightful! The staff members were friendly and made our stay very comfortable. We will definitely visit again!

    I'm glad I came here.

    The staff were all wonderful. The food was delicious, and even the sea bream rice we couldn't finish was made into rice balls for us to enjoy in our Room. We are so glad we chose this place to celebrate the 88th birthday. The Room was very clean, and we were able to relax comfortably. Additionally, as we were leaving, they even wiped down our car windows, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant experience until the very end. We would love to visit again. Thank you for everything!

    The property is more...

    The property is more of a ryokan with Western-style renovated Japanese rooms than a hotel. Having beds is helpful for us, as we have chronic knee and back issues. The view of Tokyo Bay and Tateyama Bay from the large open windows is breathtaking, and the baths, including the large public bath, private baths, and open-air baths in the room, are well-maintained and clean. The staff were all very personable. Moreover, the kite feeding was truly spectacular. It was wonderful to see dozens of kites harmoniously gathering from nowhere against the backdrop of vast ocean scenery during feeding time—a show you won't find at other ryokans. It's too good to be known only by those in the know. However, there were some concerns regarding dinner's kaiseki cuisine. Needless to say, meals are one of the great pleasures when staying at an onsen property. I believe it’s courteous for guests to appreciate dishes crafted with dedication by chefs while maintaining proper manners—listening carefully to explanations about ingredients and dishes and enjoying each dish in order should not be compromised. However, I was surprised and disappointed when 4-5 dishes were served almost consecutively right after appetizers instead of sequentially savoring sashimi or grilled items individually; it felt like being treated at a set meal restaurant (which would be fine when eating set meals). I don't intend to blame our attendant; their job is simply serving prepared dishes as they come out—but humbly suggest considering another level up in service presentation if possible—the food itself was delicious though—and after agreeing with me on this point—the attendant adjusted timing accordingly while providing detailed explanations about each dish thereafter. We also received detailed guidance on nearby sightseeing spots which allowed us efficiently visit planned historical sites despite strong winds—and shuttle service provided safe driving ensuring peace-of-mind travel experience. Lastly—I was surprised that payment couldn’t be made using JCB or Amex cards upon checkout—not just here but also other restaurants around Tateyama—it would be nice if these could soon become usable within city limits. Thank you very much—for what remains short life ahead—I hope health permitting—to enjoy delicious meals again someday along with witnessing kite feedings once more!

    Enjoy the charm of a traditional Ryokan.

    The front desk staff and the room attendants were very pleasant, and before departure, they even cleaned the car windows saying "because salt sticks," providing exceptional service. The room had underfloor heating in some areas and a humidifying air purifier, showing consideration for the health of the guests.

    It can be summed up in one word: excellent.

    In front of you lies a vast sandy beach, and not only can you enjoy the view from the Room, but you can also gaze at the sea while soaking in the guest bath placed by the window. By opening the wave window, you can relax in the Room while listening to the sound of the waves, which is incredibly soothing. The meals were made with fresh ingredients, and there were also creative dishes, making it a delightful and delicious experience. The customer service was also exceptional. When asked about the dinner time after arriving at the Room, I mentioned that I wanted to eat slowly and preferred an earlier time. Not only was the time accommodated, but the staff also shared my casual remark about wanting to eat slowly among themselves, which was truly impressive. The subtle fragrance that envelops the entire Property was very calming. Next time, I will visit again during a different season!

    I was able to relax.

    We stayed for one night as a couple. The view from the Room was fantastic. At night, the lighthouse was beautifully lit up, and the full moon made the sea look beautiful. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would love to visit again.

    The meals and service were both excellent. It is always a consistently good Stays that makes me feel at ease when I visit. This time, with the renewal, the Facility has improved even more, and I found it wonderful. However, it is unfortunate that I could smell the disinfectant during the bath. I can't help but hope for some ingenuity to make it odorless.
