    A lovely, homey Accommodation!

We were able to relax together at this homey Accommodation. Dinner was generous and delicious. We saw other guests during the black kite feeding, and every family and couple had such a calm, pleasant vibe—it really felt like good people attract good people. It’s a wonderful Accommodation, and we’ll be back.

An Accommodation packed with the best of a Japanese Ryokan experience

This is our favorite Accommodation for three generations of our family. Highlights of Kaze no Sho: - The food is simply outstanding (1) a boat platter of sashimi, (2) choose one item from abalone / spiny lobster / beef / turban shell and select the cooking method, (3) the chef’s special dish—sometimes splendid alfonsino, sometimes cutlassfish, (4) seasonal takikomi rice, and (5) breakfast grilled fish that you can choose) - You can also choose your arrival snack from three options - Tatami flooring throughout the building, so you can walk barefoot - Every Room is spacious and has an ocean view right in front of you - “Tombi breakfast” (kids can feed them downstairs, and it’s impressive even just watching from your Room) - Coffee in the small café is served in beautiful cups (many Accommodations use paper cups) - With only a few Rooms, neither the lobby nor the baths ever feel crowded This time we went to Tateyama just to eat at Kaze no Sho. When we told them we’d be leaving early in the morning, they kindly prepared everything to match our schedule—we’re truly grateful! Everyone provided pleasant service; there’s nothing to complain about. I rated the baths 4 stars only because it’s a shame that you can’t see the ocean from the open-air area of the large public bath, but staying in a Room with a private open-air bath solves that completely!!

Eat, drink, and fully enjoy the Onsen in a Room with an open-air bath.

Since last year, I’d been planning a “Roadside Station tour,” and for some reason this year we ended up doing a full loop around Tateyama. Even though it’s close to central Tokyo, everywhere we went was new to us, so it felt like a fresh trip. We also visited as many roadside stations as possible over two days! We stayed at Kazeno-Sho, which we chose carefully. Our spacious Room with an open-air bath was wonderful, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at a relaxed pace with in-room dining. At first I thought there was no way we could finish all the dishes spread across the table, but before I knew it, we had eaten everything. Other than the Onsen, we hardly went out—just took it easy while enjoying the view. The Hotel staff and our room attendant were courteous and treated us like family, which was very comforting. If you’re visiting around Sunosaki Lighthouse, this is an Accommodation I’d recommend.

    It was amazing!!!

It was my first time visiting Tateyama and staying at this Ryokan, and everything was amazing!! The food was delicious, and we even had a dedicated attendant for our Room, so it was a truly pampered trip!!! The feeding experience was wonderful, the cats were adorable, and I will definitely come again!

A wonderful service that lets you stay with peace of mind.

I stayed here for the first time in over 20 years. The personal service is as wonderful as ever, and I can stay with complete peace of mind. In addition, I didn’t expect to be able to enjoy in-room dining in this day and age. For both dinner and breakfast, a dedicated staff member attended to us in the Room, providing exceptionally attentive service. I was more than satisfied for the price, and I would like to stay here regularly again.

    We had a comfortable stay.

The fresh seafood dinner was truly delicious. It was unforgettable. The Facility was spotless, the hospitality was excellent, and the service was attentive in every way. Having bath towels available in the large public bath is a big plus. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

A Trip to Hotel Kaze no Sho in the Boso Area, Chiba

In May, my elderly spouse and I took a one-night, two-day trip to Hotel Sunosaki Kazenoshou. The weather was great, the views were beautiful, and it was a wonderful trip. The Hotel had been nicely renovated and the interior was very clean. Above all, we truly appreciate the staff for their warm and attentive service, which made our stay extremely pleasant. The baths and meals were excellent as well, and we would love to visit again when we have the chance. Thank you very much.

    The Ultimate Relaxing Onsen Accommodation

Although it was a very windy day, the Accommodation in the cove surrounded by small cape hills enjoyed a gentle breeze, and soaking in the open-air bath while listening to the wind was a truly luxurious experience. The Room, meals, and service were all top-level—an Onsen Accommodation for adults where you can relax and unwind.

It was disappointing that we couldn’t go for a walk because of the rain, but the Room was clean, the service was excellent, and the staff were very kind to our children, so we were very satisfied. It’s a Hotel we would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    It felt overpriced.

All the staff were pleasant and kind. The boat-style sashimi platter at dinner was fun to look at, but there was a bit too much and I got tired of it. It wasn’t bad, but for this price range (86,000 yen for two people with one night and two meals), the food overall was average. The additional dinner items were quite large in portion. The Room was a Japanese-style room in the annex, and the futon was on the thin side. The private bath is in the basement, so you have to use the stairs, and the lighting is dim (though it creates a nice atmosphere). Towels are provided at both the public bath and the private bath, so it was convenient not having to bring them from the Room.

    Relax in your Room

This was my first visit in 20 years. Last time it was delicious and very comfortable, and this time as well, I was happy to find it still a delicious and cozy Accommodation. The Room has been upgraded from a Japanese-style room to a semi-Japanese-style room with beds plus a dining area, making it even more comfortable. The in-room bath also has a stylish glass-walled design. The view from the Room was great, and it was fun to watch the black kites being fed from the Room. The service also felt pleasant, with just the right sense of distance. I’d love to visit again.

We were looking forward to the illuminated Sunosaki Lighthouse and the sunset, but...

Unfortunately, it was a rainy and very windy day, so we couldn’t enjoy the view from the Room we had been looking forward to or take a walk around the grounds. However, we were able to check in at 2:00 PM, take a bath right away, and relax. The meals were excellent, and we enjoyed seafood such as a boat platter of sashimi and sea bream rice. We were also surprised by the experience of feeding dozens of black kites. We hope to visit again on a sunny day.

The best accommodation for a relaxing, peaceful stay.

The atmosphere of the Accommodation, the Onsen, the Room, the view, the cuisine, and the hospitality— everything was wonderful, and I was completely satisfied. The entire Accommodation has a refined Japanese ambiance, and it feels very relaxing. The Onsen is a little on the hot side. Even so, my skin didn’t feel dry and stayed nicely moisturized. I chose an ocean-view Room with an open-air bath, so the view was incredible. I could even see a nearby lighthouse. Every dish was delicious. Both breakfast and dinner were served in my Room, which was very comfortable. Dinner started with a handmade aperitif, and I enjoyed it while being amazed by how many dishes there were. The tableware was beautiful, making it a feast for the eyes as well. At breakfast, the peanut dressing they served was excellent. You can also choose from several types of grilled fish. The pre-meal smoothie was delicious too. There were also many thoughtful services such as welcome drinks and small sweets, a late-night snack, ice pops after bathing, and drinks after a morning bath. In the morning there was an event where you can feed black kites, and I enjoyed a scene you don’t often get to see. On departure day they drove me to Tateyama Station— they took care of everything from start to finish. I stayed solo, but I had such a comfortable and pleasant time that I’m glad I chose this Accommodation. I truly had a happy time here. It’s definitely somewhere I’d love to visit again.

Seafood, black kites, and warm hospitality

This was my third stay. We enjoyed a wide variety of seafood, especially the boat platter of sashimi. For the choice menu, I had ordered abalone steak in the past, but this time there was no steak—only steamed abalone. I felt the steak was better. The daily “feeding the black kites” event is truly impressive. We took plenty of videos and still enjoy watching them after returning home. Breakfast offers many dishes, and I imagine it must be hard work for the attendant just to set out all the plates. The same attendant looked after us at both dinner and breakfast; she was cheerful and friendly, which made our stay very enjoyable. After checkout, she also saw us off, and we really felt your spirit of hospitality. I believe an Accommodation is only as good as its people.

    It was great!

I had been interested in this Accommodation for a while because of its great Reviews, and this was my first stay. The Room had been renovated and was compact, but it had a nice view and felt very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, but my father said the futon in the Japanese-style room was thin and he felt a bit cold, which was disappointing. For meals, it was great that we could choose the main dish for dinner and also choose the fish for breakfast! It’s common to have a choice of main dish at dinner, but this was the first Accommodation where I could choose the breakfast fish, which I really appreciated. Dinner was delicious as well, but breakfast in particular wasn’t overly seasoned and became one of my favorite breakfasts I’ve had at any Accommodation. The large public bath is small, but since there aren’t many Rooms to begin with—and some Rooms have an open-air bath—it didn’t feel crowded, which was also nice. The early-morning black kite feeding performance was fun too. This is an Accommodation I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

    The Room was spaciou...

The Room was spacious and clean. The bath was very beautiful, and the view was wonderful. The staff member who assisted us provided courteous service. Before breakfast, guests who wish can also experience feeding the kites. We watched through the lounge window; it was powerful and well worth seeing. Even on our departure, despite the strong winds, they saw us off until our car was out of sight, which made us feel it is a truly good Accommodation. Thank you for your kindness in the cold. From here, I will share my honest feedback. We could continuously hear footsteps from the neighboring Room. Even though they were not loud, they went on for a long time and bothered us even while watching TV. When we asked a staff member, we were told it was a Room with small children, which we understood; however, those who are sensitive to noise may find it hard to relax. The meals were delicious overall, but it was disappointing that the sea bream rice at dinner was slightly mushy. The large public bath was clean and we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak. However, right after I got out of the bath, someone came in who did not look like they had come to bathe (probably just after check-in—they were wearing a coat and carrying a bag) and stared at me. I then noticed they had a smartphone in their hand; I felt they may have wanted to take photos or video. They left without incident, but since I had just come out of the bath, I felt very uneasy and uncomfortable. This is an issue of guest manners rather than something that is your fault as an Accommodation provider; however, I would feel reassured if measures could be taken to help prevent this from happening. Thank you very much for everything during our stay.

    It was excellent.

Thank you for taking such good care of us. The three of us—our family, including our daughter in her 20s—stayed here. The ocean view through the window was amazing. As for the meals, the boat platter of sashimi had a great variety and generous portions, and it was so fresh that we were truly impressed. The presentation was so beautiful it almost felt a shame to eat it. Everything else was well balanced in flavor too. The sea bream rice in particular was the best we’ve ever had. We also tried the hot stone spa (for an additional fee), and our daughter really liked it. In the morning, we enjoyed feeding black kites as well—it was a fun experience. It was so comfortable that it made us want to book a Multiple Night Stay. We would definitely like to come back again.

We found the perfect Accommodation in Chiba.

The Accommodation we stayed at this time had a Room with an open-air bath and an amazing view, and the meals were served in the Room as well—excellent. The attendant’s detailed explanations of the ingredients and the meal service were outstanding. The in-room dining area had heated floors, so we could relax comfortably, and before we knew it, we found ourselves enjoying more drinks. After a bath, you can unwind in a massage chair. There is also a lighthouse nearby; taking a walk before breakfast feels refreshing. In the morning, there is a kite-feeding experience where dozens of birds gather—an unforgettable experience.

An Accommodation That Listens to the Wind

For the past few years, my wife and I have been traveling around Japan and have stayed at many well-known Ryokan and Hotels. This Accommodation was outstanding and in no way inferior to any of them. The view from the Room, the in-room amenities, and the meals were all excellent. Above all, the attentive service from our room attendant was truly pleasant. A 2:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out is quite rare. We were happy to be able to stay two extra hours. If I had to mention anything, the Onsen temperature being a bit lukewarm, it not being free-flowing from the source, and it being somewhat difficult to turn off all the lights in the Room might be minor drawbacks. However, there were so many positives that we hardly noticed them. It was a wonderful Accommodation that we would love to visit again and again.

It was warm and very comfortable!

We stayed with our parents, renting two rooms for four people. The bright rooms with great views and the meticulously prepared meals were very delicious. The chlorine smell in the onsen of the large public bath was slightly noticeable, but everything else was perfect. The dining area had floor heating all the way to our feet, allowing us to enjoy a warm and leisurely meal until the end—it was excellent. Thank you for your hospitality.

    A charming and tranquil accommodation.

I was extremely satisfied with the accommodation I carefully selected for my first stay in Tateyama. The entire facility, including the bathroom, is tatami-floored and impeccably clean without a single hair, making it very pleasant. The ocean view from the room's living area was breathtaking, and the bath facing the sea with shoulder jets and jacuzzi for your back was fantastic. Although it’s not an Onsen, I was very satisfied. However, please note that it does not have an automatic water-filling system. Meals were served in a private room with portions so generous that we couldn’t finish them all. Every dish was visually delightful and delicious. I wished there were more drink options like mandarin orange liqueur or other fruit liquors. The large public bath providing both bath towels and face towels is a nice touch. The bathrooms with 5 and 8 faucets switch during dinner time; as we were three people, it felt cramped when overlapping with other guests. The outdoor jacuzzi fits three people at most, while the indoor bath is on the cooler side—raising its temperature slightly might be better as winter approaches. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like entering the rock bath due to many floating leaves. The complimentary ice cream after bathing was a delightful treat! The thick samue (traditional Japanese workwear) provided great comfort to wear, and their handmade basket bags for carrying items to the bathroom were so cute that they made me want one myself. One regret is that I couldn’t enjoy coffee in their beautiful magnetic cups because of limited operating hours for using those rooms offering coffee service. The meals overall were incredibly delicious; having rice porridge as an option at breakfast made me happy though there weren’t any refills available which left me slightly disappointed. Overall, this accommodation comes highly recommended!

    The private bath was excellent.

The private bath in the esthetic salon room included in the plan featured a stone sauna, jacuzzi, open-air bath, and massage chairs, all available for exclusive use for 75 minutes. My wife and I were able to relax together. For the outdoor baths, there was no need to bring towels or bath towels from the room, making it very convenient. Perhaps due to rain at night? The car windows were even wiped clean before our departure in the morning. It was a wonderfully thoughtful accommodation.

    Stayed in a Japanese...

Stayed in a Japanese-Western style room (ocean view, 6 tatami mats + 24 sqm) for one night. This was an accommodation I had wanted to try for a long time, but reservations were hard to secure, making this my first visit. The atmosphere of the traditional Ryokan was just as I imagined, and the meal offerings were so abundant that I forgot it was a standard plan. The seafood dishes were not only luxurious and plentiful but also carefully prepared with attention to detail, making even items I usually dislike enjoyable. However, personally, having Western breakfast options would have been appreciated. Additionally, experiencing kite feeding for the first time was more thrilling and fun than expected—a very well-thought-out activity. While the shared spaces felt slightly lacking in warmth, overall this is an incredibly charming accommodation that I would love to revisit.

Accommodation I Want to Visit Again

This was my first stay at this accommodation. I chose it considering the food, bath, views from the accommodation, and nearby sightseeing spots. We headed to the accommodation via Aqua Line, stopping by Mount Nokogiri, Hota Elementary School, and Nojimazaki Lighthouse along the way. Upon arrival, we immediately enjoyed spa facilities like a stone sauna and jet bath. It warmed us to the core, and we couldn't stop sweating for a while. I initially thought 75 minutes might be too long but found it passed in no time once we experienced it. Dinner was absolutely satisfying in both quantity and quality! In addition to sashimi (served on a boat platter), we also chose lobster and abalone sashimi—both of us were all smiles throughout dinner. In the middle of the night, I woke up for some stargazing after a long time! Along with famous constellations, I even spotted satellites! The next morning started with an early bath in our room followed by breakfast before checking out. On our way back home, we took a ferry from Kanaya to Kurihama—a delightful part of our journey as well. This is an accommodation I'd highly recommend; I look forward to visiting again during another season! Thank you very much!
