    When I arrived at the station, there was a staff member waiting in a car, and even though I hadn't made a reservation, they kindly gave me a ride. It was helpful as we could travel up a considerable slope by car. The slope leading from the front desk to the elevator to the guest room was steep, and since I was with my elderly father, I was worried about his footing. Wearing slippers made it difficult to walk uphill as socks would slip. There was a sulfur smell in the room, giving the feeling of having arrived at an onsen. The bath was milky white, the water temperature was just right, and it was spacious, allowing for a relaxing soak, which was wonderful. The food was luxurious and the portions were very large. The sashimi and chawanmushi were delicious, but the other dishes (especially the soups) were very salty, leaving me thirsty all night and with a slight stomach discomfort. The next morning, I had no appetite and only drank miso soup, which was also very salty, making me feel it was not up to modern standards. I thought that preferences for saltiness vary from person to person, and perhaps in colder regions, the food tends to be saltier? If they could provide meals with a little more consideration for health, I would like to use the service again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Buffet is well-stocked.

    It was my first time at Naruko Onsen. I stayed with my family, and the onsen was very nice. We used a private bath, and it was spacious, giving us the luxurious feeling of having a large bath all to ourselves. The buffet was also delicious, and I ended up eating so much that I was full. The variety of desserts was also great!
