    One of my favorite accommodations.

    I first visited about nine years ago and was so impressed by the cuisine and hospitality that I’ve returned many times, enjoying the changing seasons. While it is indeed an older accommodation, it is well-maintained and has been gradually renovated, so it doesn’t bother me at all. This time, during my February visit, I initially wanted to enjoy oysters but opted for the tempura course as I had been curious about the tempura counter! The seasonal tempura dishes like oysters and rapeseed blossoms were delicious! The sea urchin wrapped in seaweed and beef tempura were surprising treats—delicacies you can’t find elsewhere. In the evening, I enjoyed a beautiful sunset from Aokai no Yu. It was a busy time with people coming in and out, but when I thanked one of the cleaning staff members, they replied with a smile saying, “I get to enjoy this view while working.” Meeting such wonderful staff made me feel warm inside again! Shokichi’s hospitality is outstanding because each staff member truly puts their heart into their work. With late check-out available, we took a leisurely stroll around Misaki after breakfast—it turned out to be such a relaxing holiday. I look forward to visiting again soon—thank you very much!

    Exquisite Shokichi Cuisine

    "The meals at Shokichi were simply delicious." "The relaxing space in the lobby with a view of the ocean was exceptional." The Onsen, especially "Yomigaeri no Yu," was rejuvenating. The staff were well-trained, providing attentive service that met every need. It’s hard to find any faults, but my wife mentioned that having a basket for carrying bath essentials on the way to the bath would have been perfect. Additionally, due to the air conditioning, "the room felt overly dry at night," and I woke up three times during the night to drink water because of a parched throat. It wasn’t an entirely restful stay in terms of sleeping comfort in the Room.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    The sunset view was truly wonderful. The meals were delicious, and the bath was excellent. One disappointing point was the smell in the toilet of the Room. We hope for improvement.

    I have used this place several times. The Japanese-style room with beds is nice, but I would like the beds to be more comfortable. I also hope the men's restroom in the basement dining area can be equipped with a washlet.

    We would like the private baths to have the same amenities as the large public baths.

    The meals, the large public bath, and the Room were all very good. We used the private bath, but it was a bit disappointing that items like towels and shower caps, which were available in the large public bath, were not provided.

    Husband's 60th Birthday Celebration

    It has been 15 years since I last visited with my late mother and husband. The hospitality was just as excellent as it was back then. I was very satisfied.

    Dinner is wonderful.

    We stayed with a meal plan limited to two groups per day. Dinner was exceptional because of this. Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and truly wonderful. Breakfast felt like a typical Ryokan breakfast and didn't leave much of an impression. The room was very old and seemed quite different from the photos on the website. The fabric on the massage chair was also old, and I didn't feel like sitting on it. The Onsen was nice, but perhaps due to the crowd, there wasn't much replenishment of towels, and it seemed like no one was regularly checking the situation. While the food was excellent, other noticeable aspects were disappointing.

    Excellent hospitality

    It was a trip while caring for my elderly parents, but the staff's kind hospitality, the fresh sashimi served on tastefully arranged plates, the delicious dishes, and the onsen where you can listen to the soothing sound of waves all day long, all became the best memories. I was touched to receive red rice and a celebration for my birthday and anniversary. Friends have also visited this property, and everyone says it was amazing! I am looking forward to the next visit.

    The food was terribl...

    The food was terrible. It was bad from the start, but when the fried food came out with a sticky sauce, I was already angry. Please do something about it, chef. In the morning, the potatoes weren't cooked, and the meat was way too tough.
