    We had a very satisfying stay.

    I have stayed here several times with my family, and this time I visited with friends. The Room was clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and above all, every staff member was truly pleasant and welcoming. I think this is an ideal Ryokan for a relaxing stay. If available, I recommend reserving a Room with an open-air bath. After soaking in the open-air bath in your Room, it’s wonderful to move to the massage chair and unwind with a massage. Once again, we had a fantastic experience.

    We stayed as a family of four. The annex was spacious, clean, and comfortable. All the staff were kind, which made our stay very pleasant. The meals were just the right taste and portion size, so we didn’t end up feeling uncomfortably full, which we really appreciated. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

    Satisfied with the hospitality.

    Everything was excellent from start to finish. Every year we travel with our family to various tourist destinations in Japan, and we were completely satisfied with the Room, baths, meals, service, and price. It’s rare to find such a wonderful Ryokan. Just one point: both breakfast and dinner are served as a course meal in stages, and we were happy with the content, but it concerns us that dinner takes nearly two hours. Also, rice, miso soup, and pickles are served later on; since we’d like to eat them with the main meat dish, we would prefer them to be served a bit earlier or for guests to be able to choose the timing. In addition, since we had to ask the attendant for water each time, I would like you to place a water carafe in the room. We would love to stay again soon.

    A quiet Accommodation where you can enjoy Nikko in peace

    Thank you for taking care of us on the final day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Nikko. Away from the lively area around Toshogu Shrine, we were able to savor Nikko deeply and quietly. From arrival to departure, every member of the Accommodation spoke to us warmly with a smile, and we spent our time feeling truly relaxed. The amenities in the Room and the drink service were also thoughtfully prepared down to the smallest details, and we did not feel inconvenienced in any way. The meals and Onsen we had been looking forward to most were absolutely wonderful, making these two days a truly happy time. Nikko’s water is excellent, and the coffee brewed with it was especially delicious—I even bought some beans on my way home. I’d like to brew coffee once more with the water you kindly gave us and reminisce about our trip to Nikko. I am also grateful for your courteous phone call when I carelessly left something behind in the Room, and for sending it promptly. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    It was a relaxing, calm, and comfortable Ryokan. I can see why it has such great Reviews. I’ve been to Nikko so many times I could almost get tired of it, but I might come back again just to stay here.

    Wonderful Hotel

    I visited with my elderly parents. We had a truly wonderful time enjoying Nikko’s forests and the gentle sound of the stream. Everyone at the Accommodation was warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. The international staff were also lovely, and it felt like their training and hospitality were excellent. There are too many good points to list. Amazing views and attentive service. Complimentary drinks after bathing, sparkling wine, and even highland milk in the morning! Everything you could hope for in terms of amenities was provided. The view from the open-air bath lets you fully enjoy nature and is fantastic. The hair dryer was ReFa! We stayed in a Room with a private open-air bath, and deer even appeared from the forest right in front of us—so we enjoyed our bath while greeting them. With both the large public bath and the private open-air bath in our Room, my elderly parents said it felt great and went in again and again. Just one thing: I rated the meals 4 stars—everything was delicious, but for someone with a big appetite like me, it wasn’t quite enough to feel completely full. The ingredients were wholesome overall, and we really enjoyed them along with tasty white rice, but for those who eat a lot it may feel a bit light (haha). That said, I was satisfied with the content. A quiet Accommodation where you can relax at ease. Especially if you’re traveling with older guests, it’s not too large so getting around is easy—I think it’s an ideal choice.

    It was a great Accommodation, just as the Reviews said.

    I stayed here again for the first time in over twenty years, and it was a very satisfying stay. Even during the rainy season, when the weather tends to be wet, the Accommodation’s services were so well provided that I could truly enjoy the Accommodation itself. Coffee on the balcony while admiring nature, along with some rare teas, was exceptionally delicious. I have knee issues, but having both the large public bath and dining area on the same second floor as my Room was convenient and a huge help. I think it’s perfect for anyone who wants to spend a relaxing, adults-only kind of time. I want to recommend it to others—but also want to keep it secret—an Accommodation I’d love to make my own hidden getaway.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    This was our second stay, following our visit last December. They offered welcome drinks such as matcha, beer, and sparkling wine. Since it was our second time, they also prepared a fruit platter in our Room. The meals were delicious, made with local ingredients, and the portions were just right—we were very satisfied. Above all, the hospitality from all the staff was wonderful; they spoke clearly and audibly for elderly guests. We will be back again—thank you in advance.

    Relaxing Accommodation

    This time we stayed in a Room with a spacious terrace. Stepping out onto the terrace, we could hear the sound of water flowing into the garden pond and birds singing, and we were able to unwind from daily fatigue while sitting in a chair and enjoying coffee. The welcome drink at check-in and services such as complimentary drinks in front of the relaxation area after bathing were also great. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and we could enjoy our meal in a private room while relaxing and chatting with our family. All of the staff provided courteous service with warm smiles, making it a truly wonderful Accommodation. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity.

    A Trip to Nikko for a Couple

    I stayed here during a trip to Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Everything was outstanding—the staff’s warm smiles and service, the spacious Room, the amenities, and the meals. The Room was separated into a bedroom and a Japanese-style room, making it easy to relax, and the soothing green view from the balcony was wonderful. It was also great that the toilet and washbasin were in separate areas. Two types of clothing were provided: yukata and indoor wear, which I really appreciated since I’m not comfortable wearing yukata. All dining areas were private rooms, so we could enjoy our meal while chatting without worrying about others. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with plenty of wholesome dishes that felt gentle on the body. I would definitely like to stay again.

    We arrived by taxi as it had started to rain. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but they warmly welcomed us, which we truly appreciated. The Room we had been looking forward to was spacious and comfortable, and the open-air bath was just as wonderful as we imagined. The water felt amazing, warming us through to the core and helping us relax. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generous in portion size—we were very satisfied. Surrounded by Nikko’s rich nature, my husband was thrilled to find a stag beetle by the Aqua waterside. On the asphalt in front of the private bath along the outdoor corridor, there were cute animal footprints... It warmed our hearts when we found them. From check-in to check-out, we were truly happy with the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    I had hoped to use the Shuttle Service, but I’d given up because I planned to do some sightseeing first. When I couldn’t catch the local bus as scheduled, you contacted me and kindly adjusted the Shuttle Service time to pick me up—thank you so much! 　I also enjoyed a welcome drink of sparkling wine, and was delighted with the Room upgrade.

    The Room was spaciou...

    The Room was spacious with large windows. There were many thoughtful touches to help us relax in the Room, such as delicious coffee and Chinese flower tea, binoculars to enjoy the nature outside, and CDs. We hardly watched TV at all and were able to spend a truly relaxing time. The meals used plenty of local ingredients, and everything was delicious. In particular, the nut dressing, black natto, and the rice were outstanding. The welcome drink was delicious, and the drinks in the post-bath lounge area were nicely chilled and refreshing. It was convenient that we could go to the large public bath empty-handed (towels were provided there). They even had traditional sedge hats for using the open-air bath on rainy days—what a great idea! All of the staff were very cheerful and provided attentive, impeccable service. My mother said, “Everything was wonderful, but above all it was definitely the staff. I’d love to come again in a different season.”

    The water terrace is my favorite.

    We stayed again in our favorite Room with an open-air bath and a water-basin terrace, this time with my elderly mother. We completed check-in while enjoying welcome matcha tea and small sweets. The Room was beautiful, with a view of the garden. We were escorted from the lounge to our Room. The outdoor corridor to the Room had stairs and a slope, so my mother used the slope. The Room was spacious, with three areas: a bedroom, a tatami sitting area/living space with sofa, and the water-basin terrace & open-air bath. The sofa was large—more than enough for two people. The TV was also large and great. There was a CD player as well, so my mother and I brought our favorite discs and enjoyed them. We also loved the in-room instant coffee powder—it’s smooth and delicious. At night, the sound of the water on the terrace is wonderful. We also love the shared water-basin terrace, and visited it three times—daytime, night, and morning. The fish from Africa and South America at the entrance of the building were adorable and soothing to watch; thank you to those who take care of them. Meals were served at a good pace, so we returned to our Room early and enjoyed fruit offered exclusively for IKYU Diamond members. All staff were kind and welcoming with warm smiles.

    The open-air bath was disappointing.

    I stayed here during Golden Week. The Room photos were beautiful, which caught my eye and led me to book this Accommodation. When I arrived by car a little before check-in, I was greeted right away. I stayed in the Room with the water feature on the second floor from the top, and perhaps because of that, my car was parked in a very convenient spot as well. I really appreciated this kind of thoughtful attention. While waiting for check-in, matcha and traditional sweets were prepared for me, and I was able to relax deeply. Both the Room and the in-room bath were excellent. However, shortly after check-in I went to use the open-air bath, and it was very disappointing. Right after getting in, I noticed a large amount of plant debris as well as hair and insects floating on the surface and in the water, so I moved to the indoor bath immediately after noticing it. Still feeling unsure about it all, I tried the sauna as well, but it was lukewarm and didn’t warm me up... I left after about 10 minutes total and ended up enjoying the bath in my Room instead. There were also aquariums, but perhaps they weren’t being maintained; dead fish remained floating for two days, which left an unpleasant impression. Dinner was kaiseki cuisine, but nothing stood out in particular. Breakfast was similar. The Rooms and service are quite good overall, so I think it’s worth experiencing at least once.

    After retiring from work, I enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay with my daughter on a trip to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, which I had long wanted to visit. At dinner, my daughter surprised me with a message plate, and I was delighted to also receive a lovely gift from the Hotel. The Shuttle Service bus also went via in front of Futarasan Shrine, which made it very convenient for visiting Toshogu Shrine. On the second night as well, I was unsure where to board the Shuttle Service bus, but they kindly let us ride after we contacted them an hour in advance, which was very helpful.

    I am satisfied.

    The staff’s professionalism and manners were excellent. In particular, the woman who served dinner (possibly a foreign national) handled the tableware with great care—never clinking dishes or making noise—which was truly impressive and made the experience very pleasant.

    Accommodation for international guests

    What I liked: The service from the Japanese staff and some of the international staff was excellent and very pleasant. The Room felt a bit old, but it was clean. The lighting also creates a magical atmosphere. The coffee served in the Room was delicious as well. The welcome drink felt reasonable for this price. What disappointed me: The cleaning was far too careless. A couple of hairs would be acceptable, but there were nearly ten, and there was also trash from the previous guest in the gap of the sofa. The floor around that sofa also felt greasy. Most disappointing of all was the food. Nothing suited my taste. Among all the Accommodations I have stayed at in this price range, this one ranked last. There were too many odd decorations on the dishes, and it felt overly contrived. If you are serving Japanese cuisine, I would have preferred to be welcomed with delicate dashi flavors and true craftsmanship. Perhaps international guests enjoy a more flashy presentation. I cannot recommend it to those who place importance on meals. Sorry for being so blunt.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We were able to relax and enjoy our meals in a private Room, and since I was traveling with my elderly mother, it was very helpful that both the bath and the dining area were close to our Room. There were magazines and origami available, and perhaps because there are only a few Rooms, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. It was also nice that both yukata and samue were provided. Thank you very much.

    An Accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail—I'd love to stay here again.

    It was an Accommodation just as the highly rated Reviews said. We stayed in a room with a private open-air bath, and the bathroom facilities were very well designed, making it extremely comfortable. At this time of year, we also appreciated the heated floor in the washroom. It was impressive that nail clippers and small scissors were provided as well. We arrived by car, and we were grateful that they brought our car around between the parking area and the main entrance. The staff were warm and attentive—nothing to fault. We will definitely be back.

    It was very good.

    It was my first time in a while staying at such a wonderful Hotel! When we arrived, several staff members welcomed us, and we were offered a welcome drink. The Room was very spacious, and the Facilities were excellent. If I had to mention one thing, I only wish there had been hair treatment. When I asked the front desk to call a taxi so I could go shopping at a convenience store, the staff kindly offered to drive me instead. Everything was outstanding—thoughtful service, the Room, and the food—and I was completely satisfied. This is a Hotel I would love to visit again.

    Winter Nikko Train Trip

    My spouse and I stayed here for the first time in December. We usually drive to Nikko, but since it was winter, we took the Spacia train instead. It’s quite a distance from the station, but the Shuttle Service was available, which was great. We were able to relax and do nothing at all, and it turned into a wonderful trip. All of the staff were very pleasant and left a great impression on us. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    An Accommodation offering exceptional hospitality

    We stayed for one night from 2/15 with my daughter and her husband. I had originally told the Accommodation we would come by taxi from Tobu Nikko Station, but we changed our plans and called about 30 minutes in advance to ask if we could take the shuttle bus, and they kindly accommodated us. For the welcome drink, I chose matcha, which came with a lovely Japanese sweet. There were also sparkling wine and beer available. We had reserved two Premium Suite Rooms in the annex. Since I hadn’t told my daughter and son-in-law any details about the Accommodation, they were absolutely delighted when we were shown to our Rooms—they were so beautiful. We were completely satisfied with everything: the meals, the baths, and all of the relaxation areas. Above all, the heartfelt hospitality from the staff—their warm greetings whenever we passed them, their thoughtfulness, and their attention to detail—made every moment of our stay truly wonderful. I’m so glad we chose this place. It was an Accommodation that left me genuinely satisfied for the first time in a while, and I’m very grateful. Thank you very much.

    It was great!

    Check-in was at 15:00, but we arrived 30 minutes early and planned to wait in the parking lot. However, a staff member came out right away and we were able to check in. They also adjusted the bath temperature in our Room. Every staff member was kind. The meals were also very delicious!
