A trip to admire the beautiful ocean and enjoy delicious meals.
This was my second stay at this auberge. I was deeply moved on my previous visit, so this time I brought my family. The simple Room felt very relaxing, and the thoughtfully prepared cuisine was not only delicious but also beautiful to look at. Everyone who served the meals—led by Madame and the chef—was courteous and kind, making both dinner and breakfast truly wonderful. Everything we purchased to take home, including paella, hamburg steak, jam, and cheesecake, was delicious; even now, about a month after our stay, they bring back fond memories of Auberge de Oishi.

A Warm, Welcoming Local Auberge
Day two of my Kagawa trip with my new wife. We headed to “Auberge de Oishi,” an Accommodation I had long hoped to bring her to ever since my previous stay. The oyster dishes I enjoyed a few years ago weren’t available this time due to recent climate-related difficulties in sourcing ingredients, but even so, the cuisine here continues to exceed expectations every visit. It’s not simply a lineup of expensive ingredients—this auberge’s true appeal is the chance to encounter an entirely new dining experience. The space and interior design reflect the owner’s meticulous attention to detail. It has a distinctive atmosphere and palette you won’t find in commercialized large-scale luxury Hotels or typical tourist spots. The staff, including the madam, are friendly yet refined, making your stay all the more fulfilling. Next time, I’d like to return and invite my wife’s parents as well, staying in one of the newly built rooms on the hilltop. If you’re visiting Kagawa, this is a place worth experiencing at least once.

The Ultimate Auberge Experience
As they also run a French restaurant, the meal at the Hotel featuring local ingredients was truly outstanding. The photo shows a dish combining local abalone and white asparagus. The chef even came over to greet us, and carefully selected wines to match my preferences—an absolutely perfect pairing. The Room was clean and very comfortable. The parking area is a little hard to find, but the Hotel staff kindly guided us, so we felt at ease.

After passing throug...
After passing through a narrow road, we arrived at Oishi, a beautiful white building. The Hotel Room had high ceilings and large windows, and the CDs and books were wonderful too, so we could relax and enjoy our time before dinner. The dinner course was full of vegetables, and we also enjoyed the fish and meat—the natural flavors of the ingredients really stood out. The madam, sommelier, and staff were all kind, and we enjoyed chatting with them as well. The flowers and furniture were lovely too. We’d like to make time to come again and enjoy this wonderful relaxing space!

This was my first stay here. It was very quiet, with the Seto Inland Sea right in front of me, and I was lucky to have great weather, so I had a wonderful time. Dinner was authentic French cuisine, yet it didn’t feel heavy at all, and the portions were just right—I really enjoyed it. I also took breakfast slowly in my Room. I even regretted not planning a more relaxed schedule so I could have stayed longer. Since you offer meal delivery, I ordered right away after returning home. Even when reheated by me, it was still delicious—and as it happened, I had eye surgery soon after getting home, so I didn’t have to compromise on the quality of my meals. This is a Hotel I would definitely love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

My first time in Tak...
My first time in Takamatsu. On the second day, I stayed at Kaion Mari on Shodoshima, and visited Mr. Ooishi the next day. The building and interior are wonderful and stylish. It was an unusual stay for me—truly a break from everyday life. A few negatives: because other guests come into the small garden, they can see straight into the Room, so I think access to the lawn area should be strictly prohibited. Also, my wife and I felt the dinner was a bit underwhelming. Breakfast was delicious enough.

We stayed for one night and two days to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The Room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep until morning for the first time in a while. The bathroom amenities were also sufficient. Breakfast was delivered to our Room with an ocean view, and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for a wonderful stay—this is a Hotel we would gladly return to.

It was excellent.
I visited because I was looking for an Accommodation where I could enjoy a delicious, relaxed meal on-site. It was a last-minute solo trip, but even as a solo guest, I was truly satisfied with the wonderful service and the comfortable sense of distance you maintained. The Room had a lovely design that felt like something you’d find in a nature-rich part of Europe. The selection of drinks and snacks in the Room was excellent. The choice of books placed in the Room was also exactly to my taste. Sipping coffee, reading, and taking a short walk in front of the Hotel—I was able to spend some truly unhurried time for the first time in a while. There isn’t a TV, but this isn’t really an Accommodation for people who want to watch TV during their stay anyway. Dinner—from start to dessert—was genuinely delicious. When people say “light seasoning that lets you taste the ingredients,” it can sometimes feel bland or slightly off, but that wasn’t the case here. The cooking brought out the natural flavors beautifully, and even after eating plenty all the way through dessert, it didn’t feel heavy at all—an outstanding dinner. Listening to conversations at other tables, there seemed to be several groups who might have been repeat guests. I can see why people come back. The breakfast bread was also very tasty, and I left completely satisfied. There are still many Accommodations that don’t accept solo guests, and even Hotels that pride themselves on dinner sometimes don’t treat solo travelers very well. In that context, your casual kindness—and what I felt from all staff—made this a truly wonderful Hotel. Even in times like these, I hope this kind of great Hotel will continue for many years. I shared it with friends right away. If I have another chance, I would love to visit again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

The location is excellent.
The beachfront location is outstanding, with a shore right in front of you that feels like a private beach. The food has an old-fashioned bistro style from decades ago and won’t appeal at all to those used to dining in the city. Above all, the wet towels had a very strong unpleasant odor, making it hard to enjoy the meal.

Dinner was excellent...
Dinner was excellent—worth visiting even just for the restaurant. However, the road in front of the property is very narrow, so it may feel intimidating if you’re not confident driving. The interior is stylish, but the bathroom has no door, so it can get cold and chilly. This is something to consider depending on the season. Overall it’s very good, and if you’re looking for peace and quiet, ocean views, or a stay with minimal staff interaction, it feels well worth booking.

Delicious and Enjoyable Journey
Starting with a bit of excitement as we searched for the entrance, our stay began. From the charming courtyard surrounded by white walls, we entered a private space. Through the large windows, the stunning Seto Inland Sea spread out right before our eyes. The Room was spacious and offered a relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was absolutely delicious, with every dish carefully prepared using fresh and selected ingredients. Conversations with the hostess about the cuisine added to an enjoyable experience. Both the Room and meals made for a heartwarming stay.

White, blue, and green.
It was a wonderful stay. The room had high ceilings, was spacious, and had a well-thought-out design. The view of the Seto Inland Sea from the large windows felt serene, as if time flowed differently. There is a spacious lawn and a rooftop for stargazing at night, equipped with reclining racks. The cuisine featured local ingredients carefully selected to highlight their flavors. I was amazed by the deliciousness of the wild boar dish. The desserts were exceptional as well, showcasing attention to detail while enhancing the ingredients' natural taste. Breakfast was enjoyed on the terrace. Afterward, I returned to my room to relax and enjoy soothing music in luxurious comfort. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again after taking my time planning another trip here.

It was excellent.
This was my second meal here, and it was just as delicious. The restaurant felt a bit cold for me, so I wish I had brought a long-sleeve shirt. I chose the meat dish, but it would have been perfect if I could have tried both options. It would be nice to have more choices for glass champagne and wine. The prices are reasonable, but we didn’t feel confident enough to open a full bottle for just two people. For breakfast, it would have been great to have one basket of bread per person or French fries available. Also, I’m glad we ordered the fruit platter, but having fried eggs or an omelet as an option would make it even better. Although these are just personal preferences, this is truly a wonderful restaurant and Hotel. I look forward to visiting again!

Time flows gently for adults.
We have traveled domestically and internationally in our younger days, but this time brought us truly wonderful moments. The Room and interior matched our preferences perfectly, and no words were needed as we listened to music while watching the sunset over the Seto Inland Sea. We enjoyed delicious meals in a lovely separate building. It was a relaxing experience without worrying about time, and we had delightful conversations with the Madam. The staff maintained just the right distance, which was very pleasant. When I accidentally left something behind and requested it to be sent back, it was delivered promptly for which I am deeply grateful. Thank you very much!

I had a relaxing stay.
A spacious and relaxing Room in an auberge where you can hear the sound of waves. The meals were as expected, utilizing the ingredients to their fullest with a mild and gentle flavor (not heavily seasoned for younger tastes), making them very enjoyable. However, it would be better if there was some shade on the rooftop deck.

A seaside French Riviera-style auberge
Located in the lesser-known tourist area of Yashima, this small auberge with only five Rooms offers a luxurious and stylish South European ambiance. While there are some inconveniences, such as the restaurant building being across the road and slight level differences in the structure, the Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The French course meals allow you to choose your main dish as well as cheese and dessert plates from a wide variety of options. However, I rated it 3 for the bath experience as it was too large and felt slightly cold.

It was a very relaxing three days.
We stayed for two nights. The large windows of the Southern European-style Room facing the sea were bathed in warm spring sunlight, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing time. The dishes, made with fresh ingredients and delightful both to see and taste, were absolutely satisfying. Wonderful
I'm sorry for the trouble caused to the staff as I was unsure where to enter upon arrival at the Hotel. The Room was very well maintained, spacious, and comfortable with high ceilings and glass windows. With the sea right in front, it felt very open, and I thought it would be lovely to have breakfast on the terrace during the warm season. For dinner, I enjoyed delicious food and wine in the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant across the street from the accommodation building. Having breakfast while relaxing in the Room was truly delightful. I checked out before 9:30 as I planned to take a ferry leaving Takamatsu Port after 10, but I hope to stay longer next time.

Summer must be wonderful!
Since we visited in February, the room was a bit cold even with the heating on full power. The meals, considering both breakfast and dinner, were decent, but I think if we had visited in the summer, the return on investment would have been perfect.

It was a very wonderful time.
The perfect experience with delicious meals, beautiful scenery, a very lovely room with a sense of openness, and comfortable service from the staff that was neither too close nor too distant. The room had a large window with a view of the sea, and we could watch the beautiful sunset slowly while sitting on the sofa. The room was very clean and tidy, equipped with everything we needed, and we played bossa nova, which we don't usually listen to, on the in-room player, allowing us to have various leisurely conversations as a couple. Since there was no TV in the room, time passed very slowly. One issue was that since we stayed in January, the lovely tiled floor made it difficult for the room to warm up for a few hours after check-in, and it was quite cold. However, everything was so wonderful that it didn't bother us much. Dinner was French cuisine at the restaurant, and everything was beautiful and delicious, making us want to visit again just for the meal. Although it was our first visit, the restaurant was filled with a warm atmosphere, as if the staff were saying "welcome back." The breakfast soup, salad, bread, and juice were also incredibly delicious and satisfying. I highly recommend it to those who want to spend a leisurely and luxurious time. It was an auberge that I would like to visit every season. I am also looking forward to the arrival of the takeout dishes we ordered at checkout to enjoy at home. Thank you very much. We will definitely visit again.

Delicious meals and relaxation in a seaside Room
It was a one-night, two-day short trip where we relaxed in a seaside Room with a distant view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, enjoying delicious French cuisine and wine. The first half of the dinner featured a variety of dishes using plenty of local seafood, and for the main course, my spouse and I each chose venison and abalone. Each dish had a distinct flavor (not the so-called bland taste under the pretext of bringing out the ingredients' natural flavors). You can enjoy a relaxing time in just under three hours from Osaka. (The photo shows breakfast in the Room)
