    I stayed in a room with a private bath at the Lake Hotel's Fuji View accommodation, priced at over 30,000 yen per person.     The whole family was completely satisfied.

    It was a wonderful hotel with exceptional hospitality! We usually stay at accommodations or hotels that cost twice as much per night, but this time we chose Fuji Lake Hotel because we wanted a room with a full view of Mt. Fuji. Among all the hotels we've stayed at, this one had the best hospitality, and the warm and attentive service kept our entire family smiling throughout our stay! The staff were also very kind to our family member with physical disabilities due to illness, accommodating all of our requests flexibly. We are truly grateful for their care and understanding. The view of Mt. Fuji from our room was breathtakingly impressive. The scenery from the dining area was also spectacular, and the buffet offered a wide variety of dishes with excellent quality—everything was so delicious that everyone in my family thoroughly enjoyed every meal! The bath facilities were fantastic as well!! This hotel exceeded its price value by far. On the day we returned home, every single one of us said we want to stay here again! Even the cleaning staff greeted us warmly; every staff member working here was genuinely wonderful. It turned out to be an amazing trip—thank you so much!

    This was my first time staying at an accommodation near Lake Kawaguchi. For reference, my favorite hotels in Hakone are Hyatt and Karaku. While preferences may vary, this accommodation gave the impression of being an older ryokan with partial renovations. I hope this feedback helps when considering accommodations: - The entire facility had a musty smell (common in older ryokans). - Hallways were cold (also common in older ryokans). - The room I stayed in seemed to have been renovated, but the carpet appeared slightly dirty (perhaps due to inbound guests wearing shoes indoors?). - Towels were overly worn out. - The bathroom was surprisingly small with a compact 3-in-1 unit (despite the spacious room; it would have been nice if at least the sink area was separate). - Coffee could not be made in the room (it was available in the lobby; only green tea was provided in-room, and coffee from breakfast buffet could not be taken back either). - Hairdryer cord tape had someone else's hair stuck on it. - Dinner buffet offered nothing particularly noteworthy. At around 7 PM, I sat by a window facing Lake Kawaguchi but found countless tiny bugs on the window unsettling and tried hard not to look outside while eating—this made it difficult to enjoy dinner.     The service is excellent and comfortable.

    About 10 years ago, I stayed here and had a wonderful experience, so I chose this Hotel again for my long-awaited trip to Lake Kawaguchi. The staff provided heartfelt service with warm smiles, offering a uniquely Japanese hospitality that is rare in modern hotels. Their dedication truly shines through. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the lounge where we could enjoy tea and as many sweets (available for purchase as souvenirs) as we liked. The meals were absolutely delicious, especially the sashimi, steak, morning bread, and desserts. The bread from the Hotel's bakery was exceptional—unlike other hotels where croissants may look good but fall short in taste; here they were genuinely delicious. The coconut banana tart at night and cream puffs in the morning were also outstanding! Additionally, there was an all-you-can-drink option that included sparkling wine, local sake, and wines from Yamanashi—a delightful touch!

    At this price!?

    Weekday stay during Golden Week. A room with a semi-open-air bath and a view of Mt. Fuji. The building had an old, traditional charm, but voices from the hallway could be heard in the room, raising concerns about soundproofing. The room's bath was much smaller compared to the photos on IKYU.com and was about the size of a typical home bath, which was disappointing; however, the Onsen provided warmth for the entire body. Although it was described as all-inclusive, only mineral water provided at check-in was available in the room. During meals, only cheap beverages were offered, which was disappointing—especially alcohol options need improvement. Dinner was reasonably enjoyable and delicious; however, breakfast felt comparable to that of a Business Hotel and could use more effort to improve quality. Items like salad, juice, or milk lacked any indication or effort towards local production for local consumption despite this being standard nowadays. Apart from the view of Mt. Fuji from the room, there is little to commend about this accommodation overall—I would not consider staying here again.

    Excellent service, clean Room, and buffet-style meals for both breakfast and dinner with freshly cooked steak and omelets. The view of Lake Kawaguchi is stunning, and the private garden is beautifully maintained. Above all, the price is reasonable—highly recommended!

    West Building

    Since it was on the Kawaguchiko side of the West Wing, we couldn't see Mt. Fuji from the room, but the night view of the lakeside was nice. It was a pity that the view couldn't be seen from the open-air bath in the large public bath. However, although I think there were many guests, the bath was not crowded. There was also a sauna and a jet bath, which was nice in its own way! For those who mainly want to see Mt. Fuji, the rooms with baths in the East Wing seem good. There was an observatory on the 7th floor, so you can see both Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from there. The buffet had a wide variety, and I ate too much steak and sushi because they were delicious. The croissants at breakfast were incredibly delicious! I got so hooked that I even bought croissants to take home from the shop. Also, there were drinks like coffee in the lobby, and various snacks were available depending on the time, which was nice for relaxing! Next time, I would like to stay in the East Wing.

    The service is pleasant.

    The structure of the Hotel is indeed old. Consequently, the Facility is also deteriorating. The hallway from the guest room and the dressing room of the large public bath were extremely cold, as it was winter. That was unfortunate.     We enjoyed Mount Fuji, Onsen, and meals.

    It was very good. The facility feels somewhat old, but that adds to its historical charm. I was very satisfied with the location, scenery, meals, and Onsen. All the staff providing hospitality were courteous. Additionally, the facility is thoroughly barrier-free, including the baths, so my elderly mother and my sister, who has mobility issues, were able to stay safely. The service anticipates guests' needs, allowing for a pleasant experience in the large public bath. If you choose the buffet at the dinner and breakfast venue, there are families with small children, but a calm atmosphere is maintained without being noisy. It was a very good trip.     This is my first stay.

    I made a reservation for a property with a stunning view of Mount Fuji for the New Year. According to the reviews, it was an overall wonderful property, and it exceeded my expectations. The onsen in the room, the large public bath, the meals, and the service were all satisfactory. We had a family member who uses a wheelchair, and the universal design of the room was very helpful. Dinner was in a buffet style, and everything was delicious, especially the beef stew, which had a sauce that wasn't too demi-glace-like. I would definitely like to use it again.

    The Room was very clean, and we had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The temperature of the in-room open-air bath was just right, and we were able to relax deeply. For dinner, since we had children with us, we chose the buffet, and they were delighted—especially with the melon (very sweet and delicious), strawberries, grapes, and peach juice. It was also great that we could use the lobby lounge after our meal. These days I would personally prefer samue over yukata, though I’m sure yukata suits international guests well. Above all, the autumn leaves and Mt. Fuji views from the Hotel (dining area and lobby) were like a painting. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    A cozy Hotel that makes you want to stay again!

    This was my first stay at Fuji Lake Hotel. The deciding factor for my Reservation was having an in-room Onsen bath. I’m glad I chose the Comfort Room. I initially wondered if I should have chosen the Mt. Fuji side, but the Hotel staff told me that Mt. Fuji isn’t visible at night this time of year, so the lake side is better. In fact, the night view of Lake Kawaguchi was beautiful! I changed to in-room dining, and it was great to enjoy a relaxed meal. The roast beef was tender and very delicious. The chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) was also silky and tasty. For breakfast, I ate while looking at Mt. Fuji—my favorites were the soft-centered omelet, gratin, and delicate croissants! On the way home, I bought various breads such as croissants from Pain Daniel right in front of the Hotel as souvenirs. The staff were polite and attentive, which made my stay very comfortable. Being able to enjoy views of Lake Kawaguchi and stroll through the autumn-colored garden made me want to come back even while I was still staying—this may be my first time feeling that way about a Hotel. I found a wonderful Accommodation!! P.S.: Amenities like toothbrushes and hairbrushes are provided upon request after check-in (you tell them what you want). Since I brought my own toothbrush, I didn’t need one; I thought I requested a hairbrush instead… but when I checked my bag in the Room, there was no hairbrush—only a toothbrush. The staff member assisting me seemed to be non-Japanese, so perhaps there was a misunderstanding due to language…? That’s why I deducted one star, but overall it was an extremely satisfying Accommodation!!

    A classic and good Hotel

    It was simply "impressive." While the facilities are undeniably old, the service and hospitality were so outstanding that a score of 5 is not enough. There were drink and snack services in the front lobby. The lobby is spacious enough to relax comfortably, with plenty of seating, and you can see Lake Kawaguchi right in front of you. Although I didn't use it, I thought it was wonderful as it reflected the spirit of hospitality. As for the hospitality, every staff member provided pleasant service. In the restaurant, they prepared a cart for guests holding children to place their trays, and whenever I went to get food, a nearby staff member would always introduce the dish by saying, "This is 〇〇." The delicious food, combined with witnessing the staff's hospitality, made for a heartwarming and wonderful time. All the staff seemed to cover the outdated facilities with their individual hospitality, and it worked effectively. This is a hotel I would like to stay at again near Lake Kawaguchi. Thank you for a great stay.

    The exterior looked quite old, which made me a bit anxious, but the interior was properly renovated, and the guest rooms, lobby, and large public bath were all very clean. It was a bit disappointing that the windows with a good view still had wired glass. The large public bath had an open-air bath and a semi-open-air bath, and there was a waterfall in the garden, so we could enjoy a luxurious view. The sauna had glass walls, making it easy to enter when it was available, which was nice. We chose the all-you-can-eat plan for meals, and the quality was so high that it didn't feel like an all-you-can-eat, with sashimi and steak, and everything from appetizers to desserts was very delicious (Shine Muscat grapes were also all-you-can-eat), which was wonderful. For breakfast, we also enjoyed French toast and croissants from the famous bakery across the street. There were many foreign staff members, but a certain level of quality was maintained, and there were no particular complaints. The Japanese staff provided excellent hospitality typical of a long-established hotel, which was wonderful. Overall, it was a hotel worth traveling to just to stay here.

    I stayed at the West Wing. It seems to be the second oldest hotel in Kawaguchiko, and although the facility has been renovated, the sense of wear could not be completely erased. However, since we stayed in a room for four people with just the two of us, the room was very spacious and had a sense of openness. Also, the view of Lake Kawaguchi from the entire window was pleasant. What surpassed the age of the facility was the hospitality and the food. The shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station, the welcoming smiles, and the prompt and accurate responses were impeccable. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, and while not particularly luxurious, the seasoning was just right, making the dishes "delicious." What left a lasting impression was when an elderly staff member spoke to us during breakfast, expressing regret that we couldn't see Mt. Fuji due to the unfortunate weather, and offered words of comfort, which touched us deeply. Later, they mentioned, "The soft serve ice cream is delicious," and even though it was self-service, they kindly brought the ice cream to us when I couldn't find it. It was a heartwarming breakfast. Thank you very much. Throughout the experience, we were filled with hospitality, making our two-day trip a pleasant one, and we are sincerely grateful to Fuji Lake Hotel.

    The hotel had a sense of history in its lobby and furnishings. The air conditioning was the type that could be set individually for each room, so it could be switched to heating at night. I was looking forward to dinner as alcohol was freely available, but it was disappointing that neither the sake nor the wine was very good. The elderly male staff member in the dining area was very friendly and I believe he significantly contributed to the hotel's positive evaluation.
