    Not recommended.

    Booked trusting the Laforet brand. Surprised upon arrival... Surprising Points: 1. Deep in the mountains. The winding road goes far in. It's fine during normal weather, but you must check for snow forecasts. Being so remote, it takes time to go anywhere, and snowfall can ruin your schedule—worst-case scenario. 2. No elevator. Avoid if you have a lot of luggage or are traveling with children or elderly parents. As someone who went with kids and elderly parents and ended up with back pain, this was especially inconvenient for me. 3. Overwhelmingly outdated Showa-era vibe. While spacious, even my parents and I (born in the Showa era) found it a bit much to handle. 4. Smoking room issue: Despite requesting a non-smoking room when booking for two children as well, we were informed at an unrefundable stage that all rooms of this type are smoking rooms without prior notice upon arrival—zero hospitality felt here. 5. No internet connection in the room; only available in the lobby! Is that even possible these days? The shared onsen facility and breakfast were decent but not enough to make up for everything else. Even my child said they never want to stay in such a room again. Stayed early New Year at a higher-than-usual price expecting great things from our first Laforet Hotel experience—but will avoid this hotel chain from now on entirely!

    I had a pleasant stay.

    The staff's excellent service made my stay very pleasant. The Facility was slightly old, but this is understandable. The bedding was clean and allowed for a comfortable sleep. Meals were varied, each dish delicious, and I was very satisfied.

    The service was excellent, and the dinner was delicious.

    We stayed in a special room at the guesthouse for one night as a couple for the first time. The room was on the first floor, but we had a great view of Mt. Fuji from the window. The building overall has a retro Showa-era feel, but at least in the room we stayed in, there were no inconveniences. Access to the Onsen is slightly challenging; while the buildings are close to each other, it takes about 4 minutes to move between them, and only part of that route is within heated areas. In winter, proper cold-weather gear is necessary. Additionally, there are stairs involved going up and down, so caution is advised. The outdoor bath's water temperature was low and felt quite chilly. The indoor bath was maintained at around 40°C and was comfortable; however, signs of aging were noticeable throughout. On the other hand, dinner at the buffet offered a wide variety of delicious dishes. While I initially thought alcohol prices were high, upon checking their wine list I found reasonably priced options which made me happy—I enjoyed some champagne as well! The staff were very attentive and made our stay comfortable. Dinner operates on two seatings starting at 17:30 or 19:30 with a 90-minute limit; this timing worked perfectly for us. Overall cost-performance seems average but acceptable. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It was a wonderful facility.

    The spacious grounds are surrounded by greenery, with numerous facilities that exceeded my expectations in size. The service was attentive, the food was delicious, and I felt the cost performance was excellent. This time I stayed alone, but next time I would like to visit with my family.

    Mountain Villa

    The building is old, but both the guesthouse lobby and the restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere reminiscent of Karuizawa. The vegetables served at breakfast were fresh. The front desk staff kindly delivered a thermometer and phone charger to our Room, even bringing cooling gel sheets. Thankfully, I didn’t have a fever, but I truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. I was thrilled to watch the fireworks from Nijino Sato directly from our Room!

    Old Facility

    The building is from the bubble era and feels old. I used the Center House, and the only good thing was the bath. The bath is inconvenient as you have to go outside to access it. I also tried using the Marriott Hotel's bath since it was available, taking a bus to get there, but I preferred the Center House bath despite its lack of amenities. Returning from Marriott made me feel even sadder about the Center House. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, but nothing was appealing at all. A male server silently approached from behind and took away plates without saying anything. It’s disappointing that even as a Japanese person, he couldn’t say something like "May I take this?" The Room is spacious—like a conference room. Futons are self-service. Please note that it looks quite different from IKYU.com’s Facility photos. I will not be revisiting this place again.

    Stay with your dog and enjoy tennis

    Stayed with my dog. The facility is old and has a Showa-era vibe. The large premises seem a bit challenging to maintain. However, the service was excellent, and the Onsen was great, so I was very satisfied.

    Do not expect a resort experience.

    The entire facility is outdated, and the onsen bath area is in a state of disrepair. The room had cigarette burn marks on the carpet, and there is no shop available. However, the accommodation cost is affordable, making it suitable for families with children or stays with friends for activities like golf if you can manage your expectations.

    Pet-friendly Room

    The Room had carpeted floors, so the dog didn't slip, and the interior was spacious and very nice. However, there was a lingering pet odor. We hope for measures such as installing air purifiers or requiring the use of belly bands in the future.

    It was a satisfying Hotel!

    Booked a single-person plan with breakfast included. At the time of booking, only a three-person room was available, so I thought I would be staying alone in a three-person room. However, since the price was the same, I went ahead and booked it. On the day of arrival, there was no explanation given, but upon checking in, my room had been changed to a two-person room. The room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. When I opened the curtains, there was a golf course outside with beautiful greenery. My friend stayed on the second floor and could see Mount Fuji from their window. However, my friend's room had a large bee inside it and another friend's room had a centipede as well! I felt nervous about whether there might be any in my own room too but thankfully there were none. Given that it's surrounded by nature, these things are understandable though. The front desk staff came equipped with instant cooling spray for centipedes and bee spray to handle these situations. The Onsen at Marriott Hotel within the same premises could also be used; we were taken by shuttle service to enjoy this higher-grade hotel's Onsen experience which was wonderful. The Onsen at Laforet featured an outdoor bath along with shampoo varieties which were great as well. Marriott's Onsen did not have an outdoor bath but offered only an indoor large bath area. However high-end hair dryers and skincare products like lotion were provided at their washroom facilities. Cleaning services are done only in the morning according to housekeeping staff; however frequent mat replacements ensured cleanliness without concerns about hair or sticky floors—this attention made everything excellent! Nights spent inside our rooms were quiet & peaceful ensuring comfort throughout stay duration! Breakfast buffet offered both Japanese & Western options including 3 types of fruits granola traditional side dishes eggs sausages bacon alongside beverages such as coffee tea two kinds juice milk soy-milk served amidst scenic views overlooking either golf-course mount-fuji restaurant ambiance truly delightful! Additionally ice machines microwave ovens available onsite added convenience guests' needs met seamlessly Since station located quite far away complimentary shuttle bus provided otherwise taxi fares likely expensive train travelers should note accordingly Overall completely satisfied stay thank-you much appreciated!

    Thank you very much. This is my second time staying, and I would love to use your services again. I have a few requests that I hope can be addressed: - Please consider adding more chairs in the bathroom; it would be helpful when using the sauna. - It would be great if curry could be included in the breakfast buffet. - For pet amenities, water bowls and food dishes would be appreciated. Other than these, I am very satisfied with my stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Free and Comfortable

    Spacious grounds with a great sense of openness. This time, we returned with two dogs and our grandchild. The gymnasium and kids' room provide shelter from rain and wind, equipped with air conditioning, allowing children to play safely regardless of the weather. The bouncy trampoline was also enjoyable. The morning buffet had a wide variety of dishes and was delicious. Our grandchild was delighted, and we made the reservation to coincide with the autumn foliage season!

    The meals were disappointing...

    I booked a cottage for accommodation with my dog. Since it was during Golden Week, I expected the prices to be somewhat higher, but I was disappointed with the number of dishes, content, and quality of both dinner and breakfast. It felt no different from an average buffet restaurant in town, which made it very disappointing as there was no sense of being in Izu. The onsen was very spacious with open-air baths and a sauna. Additionally, being able to use not only the main building's "Mori no Yu" but also the Marriott Hotel added to the enjoyment.

    Great!

    I used a guesthouse for the first time. It was nice to be able to use the main building's Onsen and stone sauna. I also enjoyed the delicious meals.

    Satisfied with the scenery and meals.

    From the window, we could see Mt. Fuji, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The meals were French-style course dishes, all of which were delicious. It was a stay between two rounds of golf, but it was conveniently close to the guest house. Mori no Yu (Onsen) was a bit far and inconvenient, but we could relax there. I would like to visit again.

    Eco Plan?

    This was my fourth stay. On my previous three stays, I used the dog cottage. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, I was told at check-in that choosing the eco Plan with no cleaning would be 1,000 yen off per day, so a 5-night stay came with a 5,000 yen discount. This time, I stayed in the guest house for three nights instead of the dog cottage. At check-in, I wasn’t asked whether I wanted to skip cleaning, so I contacted you to request towels only. Then I was told, “Weren’t you informed about the eco Plan at check-in?” When I said no, I was told, “Then it will be the eco Plan.” At checkout, I expected a discount for three nights, but I was told there would be no settlement because it had already been prepaid online. That left me confused. I thought there would be a 3,000 yen refund—does the guest house not offer an eco Plan? When I called the front desk, they said it would be the eco Plan as well, so I didn’t really understand what that meant.

    Family Trip for New Year's Holiday

    Please note that there are no amenities at all. The hairdryer is an old model that I've never seen before, with weak airflow that doesn't dry your hair. Everything is old, and although it was cheap, I wish I had chosen another hotel even if it meant paying more. My spirits were constantly dampened. The only highlight was the beef stew at the buffet, which was very delicious. It's about a 15-minute drive to Shuzenji, so I was able to visit for the New Year's visit. However, I cannot recommend this facility.

    Almost a golf course Facility

    The staff is very enthusiastic and pleasant, but I was quite surprised because the Facility is old, there are almost no amenities, and you have to lay out your own futon. Since it was the busy season, the price was not cheap, which surprised me even more. Please be aware that the atmosphere is completely different from the Marriott within the Facility.

    I will visit again!

    I stayed for the first time for golf. The shuttle bus was readily available, making transportation smooth, and I was able to enjoy a calm meal at Fuji. I was fully satisfied. Unexpectedly, I received many souvenirs as a Diamond benefit, which made me very happy. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Stays with Dogs

    I made a reservation because it was written that I could stay with my dog, but it's a bit disappointing that I can't go to meals together, and the dining area is a bit far, making it inconvenient without a car. Despite it being written that you can stay with your dog, there is no food for dogs, which is a bit disappointing. The dinner course for humans was delicious, but the buffet had cold rice and side dishes, at least during our visit, which was not tasty (cry). The facility is also old, and I didn't feel like I wanted to visit again.
