    Thank you for your patronage!

    I have been staying here for the past few years, and the staff are always smiling. I have never felt uncomfortable. The Onsen is amazing! The meals are thoughtfully prepared and delicious! Absolutely wonderful. The room is excellent, and it’s so comfortable that while enjoying the Onsen, I find myself thinking about wanting to book a multiple night stay someday.

    The hot spring is excellent, the service is great, and the Facility is well-equipped.

    The Onsen is amazing! I want to recommend it to my friends who love hot springs! The atmosphere of the large bath is also fantastic! The food is great, and the rice is delicious!

    Regarding the Room: I was looking forward to staying in a detached Room, especially since it came at a considerable price, but the view was disappointing. Recently, I have been repeatedly assigned to the least favorable Room within the same price range, and it makes me wonder if this is because I booked as a solo traveler through IKYU. It’s disheartening as I spend money to relax and would like to be satisfied with the Room as well, but this time left me disappointed. The Cuisine: Absolutely delightful. The course inspired by fairy tales was fantastic. I look forward to enjoying it again in the future. The Bathroom in the Room felt underwhelming, perhaps due to the poor view. The Public Bath: Outstanding!

    The Onsen is amazing!

    After watching a YouTube video, I really wanted to stay here, so I made a Reservation for a detached Room this time. The Room setup and the Onsen were wonderful, but the detached building requires walking through a corridor from the main building, and going back and forth to the large public bath and dining area felt like a hassle. That said, it seems ideal if you want to stay in your Room, relax, and enjoy nature. My biggest concern was the meals and drinks. Everything being organically grown or organic may suit guests who are especially health-conscious about food, but it wasn’t a good fit for us—we simply wanted delicious Japanese cuisine. The Otogi kaiseki looks very photogenic for social media, but some dishes felt forced, and we couldn’t fully enjoy the food. While you can feel attention to detail throughout the Facility, as with the cuisine there were also aspects of how the café and lounge are intended to be used that left us unsure. The hot spring water quality was excellent, and I considered staying in the renovated main building next time—but since the meals are the same, I hesitate. This place is not for everyone; its target audience is quite narrow. However, if that is exactly what you’re looking for, you will likely be satisfied.

    Onsen is excellent.

    The silky Onsen and abundant water flow were truly impressive. The mist sauna from the natural hot spring was an incredibly refreshing experience like no other. However, the open-air bath in the room was disappointing as it was difficult to adjust the temperature and could not be used.

    Revisit after 18 years

    We stayed here 18 years ago when our children were still small, and revisited for our silver wedding anniversary. The Room bath and the large public bath were both very relaxing. The meals had a story-like concept, with just the right portions, making them very enjoyable. We were able to relax and refresh in the spacious environment. Although it is only up to the second floor, we felt that having an elevator would be convenient.

    Finally, I was able to stay at the Onsen Ryokan I had been dreaming of. Upon entering, there was a Japanese garden-style Onsen, and the parking lot was very spacious. The staff were very kind, but the Room we were shown to felt much smaller than the promised 80 square meters or more. During dinner, a male staff member explained each dish with what seemed like great expertise. However, the first dish—soba tofu—was topped with raw olive oil... which made me feel nauseous. The flavor of raw olive oil itself was extremely unpleasant.

    The Ultimate Detox

    We stayed as a family of four. While there was only one room available for four people and no elevator, which led us to rate the facility 4 stars, everything else was absolutely amazing. There are many accommodations with open-air or indoor baths in the rooms, but it’s rare to find a room bath with such excellent water quality and a comfortable, user-friendly design. Personally, this accommodation ranks in my top three among those rare options. The mist bath was also fantastic. Additionally, the food was incredibly delicious; I was amazed at how organic ingredients could be prepared so well. Typically, healthy cuisine can feel lacking in flavor or quantity and is often unpopular with men or teenagers, but the course meals here left our entire family completely satisfied. We would love to stay again during another season!

    Excellent Hospitality

    We were deeply moved by the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. A surprise birthday plate, which we never expected, was prepared based on the guestbook—thank you so much! The cuisine and onsen were, of course, absolutely wonderful. But for us, even more than that! From the moment we arrived at the accommodation to being seen off until our car disappeared from view, we felt truly cared for. We were touched and delighted by the thoughtfulness of all the staff.

    I had a relaxing time!

    It was the season for grapes and peaches, so we decided to visit. This was our second stay as it is close to the orchard, and we were very satisfied with the onsen, facility, hospitality, and service. The surrounding area is home to various wild birds, allowing us to relax and unwind. Thank you very much. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

    The accommodation I've always wanted to stay at

    We stayed at this accommodation to celebrate my husband's birthday, a place we had been curious about for a long time. Room 887 in Villa 88 was stunning, starting from the beautiful pathway leading to the room that filled us with excitement. The room was clean, the bath was open and relaxing, and the hot spring quality was exceptional. And the food—absolutely top-notch! The dinner, inspired by fairy tales and crafted with meticulous care by the head chef for each dish, left us deeply impressed. My husband ordered sake pairing while I envied him as someone who can't handle alcohol well—only to discover they even offer non-alcoholic pairings! Of course, I ordered it too; every drink matched perfectly with the dishes and tasted sophisticatedly delicious. When we couldn't finish all of our mixed rice due to being so full from enjoying everything else, they kindly made rice balls for us to take back to our room—a thoughtful gesture that moved me beyond words! The staff were calm yet cheerful, making our stay truly enjoyable. We will definitely return! Looking forward to next time!

    The finest hot spring quality

    The natural flow of the Onsen with its silky texture was truly impressive. The pH 8.9 water felt amazing on the skin, offering an exceptional quality. The detached Room 88 was clean and extremely comfortable, and the private open-air bath in the room provided a relaxing experience. The meals were not only delicious with carefully selected ingredients but also beautifully presented, making them visually enjoyable as well. I look forward to returning to indulge in the natural flow of this Onsen again!

    Truly worth more than the price, an accommodation that exceeded expectations.

    Honestly, for a 3-day weekend in a place in Fukushima that isn't exactly a tourist spot, the price was very reasonable considering it included a private open-air bath. I went with modest expectations just to enjoy the Onsen, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was better than any accommodation I've stayed at before. It's hard to list everything, but I highly recommend it. I rated the food as 4 simply due to personal preference. However, it's a bit far from Tokyo—if only it were closer, like in Tochigi...

    Onsen with lotion-like properties

    This was my first time staying at the Accommodation. The Onsen was particularly wonderful (the open-air bath in the Room was the largest I've experienced among all accommodations I've stayed at, and adjusting the temperature to a comfortable level was very easy). I also enjoyed being able to try two different types of open-air baths in the large public bath area, one in the morning and another at night. The staff provided exceptionally polite service. During dinner (as explained by staff beforehand), used glasses and bath towels were replaced, which I greatly appreciated. One downside is that there is only one Shuttle Service schedule available. It would be nice if there were a shuttle time that aligns with check-in hours.

    This was my first stay at 88. The Room with a private open-air bath was spacious, allowing me to relax comfortably and feel very satisfied. The large public bath's natural hot spring mist sauna is excellent. Meals are interesting, with a different theme each time.

    A delightful experience that makes you want to stay every season.

    This was my first time staying here, and I had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, and I was able to relax comfortably. The food, in particular, was absolutely amazing. I used to think organic food had a mild taste, but this completely changed my perception. Even the vegetables were so flavorful that I thought I'd never tasted such delicious ones before! You could feel the love and care put into the cooking by the accommodation staff, making me look forward to every meal. It seems like the menu changes with each season's story, so I'll definitely come back again! After checking out, I realized I'd forgotten something and called just in case. They responded kindly and sent it back to me by mail with careful packaging to ensure nothing would break—I was deeply touched by their thoughtfulness. It was a truly healing stay for both my mind and body. Thank you so much!

    We visited after 10 years as our children have grown up. The Facility has not aged at all and exudes elegance with a touch of timeless charm. The baths were delightful, featuring a spacious indoor bath, mist sauna, underground water bath, and an open-air bath where we could enjoy the greenery and fresh air. The meals were a unique experience, enjoyed while reading through a fairytale-like story. Each dish was exciting to anticipate and delicious to savor. Not only the meat and sashimi but also the exceptional quality of the vegetables made it truly one-of-a-kind. Having stayed at other Ryokans in a similar price range that only offered large baths or just quantity in meals, we feel this place stands out. It seems like Komeya will be our go-to choice from now on.

    Located away from Koriyama with no nearby tourist spots, we visited after sightseeing at Lake Inawashiro. The service, cleanliness, and atmosphere were just as described in the reviews, and we were able to choose and reserve our room as expected. I also tried the spa services; the techniques and products were excellent, allowing me to fully relax. As for meals, they lived up to everyone's high ratings—using mostly pesticide-free or organic ingredients made everything delicious, and I ended up finishing every dish! The chef's creativity is outstanding. They also accommodated my dietary restrictions perfectly—thank you! The onsen features a mist sauna with natural spring water that feels like applying lotion to your skin, offering skincare benefits as well. One issue was that I wasn't informed about how to adjust the temperature of the bath in our room beforehand. As a result, it cooled down overnight and turned into cold water by morning, so I couldn't enjoy a morning bath. Since there are no tourist attractions nearby, I'd like to combine it with another destination next time I visit!

    A bit far, but a worthwhile accommodation.

    After seeing the open-air bath in the room and the fairy tale-inspired Kaiseki cuisine in a magazine, I decided to visit and stayed one night at 88 Hanare during Golden Week. Onsen The water was silky smooth and truly wonderful. The private bath in the room offered a view of a lush green garden all to myself, making for a blissful bathing experience. The mist sauna in the large public bath was also my first time trying it, and it felt amazing. Meals The fairy tale-inspired Kaiseki cuisine was not only visually charming but also brought back nostalgic memories of "Omusubi Kororin." The taste was excellent as well. The male server's storytelling skills were exceptional and heartfelt, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. Although it's far away, I would love to visit again! This accommodation is worth traveling 300km for.

    Enchanting Bath

    The Facility was very clean. Every detail was well-maintained, even the pathway to the open-air Onsen was spotless. The Room was so immaculate that it almost made me hesitate to use it, in a good way! The mist sauna with natural hot spring water pouring down was an incredible experience—I stayed so long I felt like I might turn into an Onsen egg myself. The carefully prepared meals were delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff providing service were very pleasant, making for a truly enjoyable time.

    This is my second visit, and I am once again captivated by the delicious meals and the wonderful onsen. The staff's attentiveness was comforting, and while the room had a slightly dated feel, it was overall clean and comfortable. If I were to mention one thing, it would be that walking around the area is somewhat limited. Stepping out of the accommodation leads to residential areas, so I only managed a short round trip along the rice fields. That was pleasant too, but next time I visit, I'd like to ask the staff for recommendations. I'll look forward to that as part of my next stay.     Smooth and Silky Hot Spring

    The hot spring water was amazing and even drinkable! It was clear, slightly silky, and left my skin feeling smooth. There is a small courtyard with a drinking fountain and footbath, along with fortune slips to enjoy at your leisure. The meals inspired by fairy tales were delightful, and the food was absolutely delicious. While the surroundings are mostly fields without much scenery, the inn is quiet and charming—perfect for women. I would love to visit again!
