A convenient Hotel close to Kagoshima Airport

The rooms are simple yet equipped with all the necessary amenities, making them user-friendly. It is conveniently located with good access from Kagoshima City and Kirishima City, and relatively close to Kagoshima Airport, making it a convenient location for tourists. Additionally, the quality of the Onsen is excellent, and the breakfast buffet includes Kagoshima specialties, providing a pleasant experience.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I stayed at Hotel Kyocera for two nights after a long time. On the first night, I was blessed with clear weather and had no plans until 2 pm, so I was able to leisurely stroll around the hotel area and enjoy traditional Japanese sweets and black pork shabu-shabu. However, on the second night, I fell ill and ended up having to call an ambulance, causing inconvenience to the night shift staff. I was grateful for their assistance with the ambulance and arranging a taxi the next morning. Somehow, I managed to get home safely. Thank you very much. I was looking forward to the breakfast on the second day, but unfortunately, I couldn't eat it, which was a regret. However, I was able to fully enjoy Kagoshima after a long time. If I had to say, I got the impression that the facilities are becoming a bit outdated.

I was looking forward to it, but.....

If someone doesn't know that there is a main building and an annex, they would be surprised. I was looking forward to a Hotel designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa, but ended up in the annex with a normal and somewhat complicated layout. It was unfortunate timing, as it was crowded with a training group, making the elevator and breakfast busy, resulting in a terrible Hotel experience. It was worse than an ordinary Business Hotel, making it a very disappointing stay. The service distinguished between those staying in the main building and those in the annex. It became a Hotel I never want to stay at again.

    Feels good

The access from the airport was convenient, so I used it. The bed was equipped with an airwave, and from the room, I could see Sakurajima. There was also Kagoshima's Zaiho water and a delicious coffee maker. There was a large Onsen bath in the basement. I was able to relax in the room after the fatigue from the flight. I felt attention to detail everywhere, and it was a good Hotel. Thank you for taking care of me.

    I decided to stay at...

I decided to stay at Hotel Kyocera because I wanted to experience it once, but I got the impression that it is a banquet hotel used by locals. In fact, it was fairly lively with banquet guests until around 8 PM, but despite being a Friday night, I didn't feel much presence of people after that. In that sense, I was able to have a calm stay even on the weekend. On the day of arrival, I took a local bus from Kagoshima Airport, but the number of buses was very limited, and instead of stopping at a carport, the bus used a regular stop on a connecting road without a roof. It was raining quite heavily when I arrived, and moving with luggage was a struggle. Additionally, there was no pedestrian shortcut from the bus stop, so I had to take a detour in the rain using the car route. I saw someone who seemed to be a bellhop at the hotel entrance, but there was no greeting, and I felt that guests arriving by public transportation were not anticipated. The staff at the front desk during check-in and check-out, as well as the staff at the dining area, were polite, and there were many young employees, so I thought there was potential. However, I felt that the hotel was not fully utilizing its valuable human resources. The facilities were properly cleaned and there were no issues, but I couldn't shake off the impression of aging due to the years since its completion. Personally, I think it would be essential to offer shuttle service to Hayato Station on a request basis, and ideally to Kagoshima Airport (even if it's paid). In fact, there were foreign users on the same bus from the airport, and it was a bit disappointing for a hotel bearing the Kyocera name.
