    I made good use of my time.

    We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed many activities, including tennis, golf, the Onsen, shopping, and walks. The Hotel staff were very attentive, and we were extremely satisfied. Personally, I’m looking forward to our plans for autumn and to seeing how the large-scale renovation of Karuizawa Prince develops in the coming years. Thank you as well for the Shuttle Service within the Hotel despite your busy schedule.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    It was my first time staying here again in a while. The views from the Room with large glass windows and from the restaurant were wonderful, with vivid scenery of Mt. Asama, Mt. Hanareyama, and the greenery of the golf course. The staff were also very courteous. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Due to the unfortunate rain, we didn’t choose any activities. It seems the Onsen could be used by moving to another Prince-affiliated building, but we were told the indoor bath was closed and only the open-air bath was available, so with the rain we decided not to go. The building’s age is noticeable, but there were no issues with cleanliness; instead, we enjoyed its character and had a comfortable stay. Above all, we came for the food, and we were very satisfied—including the wine that was selected to pair with our meal. If I had one request: as a smoker, I was surprised that the smoking area was only outside in direct sunlight. Since I only smoke in designated areas, it would have been nice to have a more comfortable place to smoke. Drinks in the lounge while enjoying the view were wonderful even in the rain. For an overnight stay, I recommend a Plan that includes lounge access. This was our wedding anniversary trip, and I’m glad we chose this place. Thank you very much for your courteous hospitality.

    I’d like to stay here again.

    After the busy season, I stayed here because I was looking for a place where I could Clear my mind and relax at a leisurely pace. It was a rainy day and the temperature had dropped quite a bit, so I borrowed a heater and blankets, but no matter when I asked, everyone was very kind, and I had a comfortable stay. The lounge was just right as well. I had never stayed at a Prince Hotel property before, so it made me want to try other Hotels too. It was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

    The meals were excellent.

    I stayed one night at The Prince Karuizawa. Dinner and breakfast at Bonsejour were excellent, and the service was very good. The Executive Lounge also offered great food, drinks, and service. It was disappointing that there is no Onsen Facility in the Hotel, so you have to go to another Facility.

    It’s exactly as pictured, but there are both pros and cons.

    The Hotel has a classic feel. I booked the Room as an IKYU Diamond member, but when I asked whether there was any upgrade, the way the upgrade was handled afterward was disappointing. It made me wonder if it would have been ignored if I hadn’t said anything. Overall, the staff were very polite and provided service that felt appropriate for a high-standard Hotel. I’d say the service from the staff was excellent. I only had about 20 minutes to use the executive lounge (due to my schedule), but it had a great view and was enjoyable. There were hardly any other guests, so I could relax. As for the Room, I wasn’t sure it really felt like an “executive” Room. It seemed like an older Room that had been renovated partially rather than fully, so things like the bathroom door still felt old, which was a bit disappointing (though within expectations). (It may be normal to use both the East and West Onsen, but moving between Hotels in bath attire might be fine for men; my wife found it inconvenient and ended up not going. It doesn’t feel very relaxing.) Seasonally, the air conditioning is heating-only, but during the day it gets too warm and uncomfortable. Opening the window only helps so much. Personally, I wish the bathroom were improved a bit more. (It’s acceptable overall, but at this price point for an international brand Hotel, I expected more.) Those are my personal impressions.

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay and I stayed for two nights, but it was even better than I expected, and thanks to the staff’s courteous service I was able to relax and enjoy my time. They upgraded my Room, and I was also able to use the Executive Lounge. There was a great selection of alcohol, the snacks were delicious, and I could unwind in a space with a wonderful view. I chatted with the lounge staff, who also made me a recommended drink—it was delicious. Next time, I’d like to stay here again with my children.

    A picture-perfect Accommodation

    The guest room was spacious and bright, and the view from the window was wonderful. All Hotel and restaurant staff were kind and courteous. The only drawback was the park shuttle service. Because some roads are narrow, only small buses can be used. With three hotels in the area, it felt insufficient for guests traveling with large luggage.

    We stayed in a suite...

    We stayed in a suite-type Room. The view from the Room had a wonderful atmosphere and was very enjoyable. The building and Facility felt a bit old, but we were satisfied as it also gave a retro charm. However, it was disappointing that the amenities were on the level of a Business Hotel.

    I was able to relax at a very leisurely pace.

    Thank you for upgrading our Room despite the busy year-end season, and for kindly allowing us to use the Executive Lounge. The Room was spacious, the view of Mt. Asama from the Room was stunning, and thanks to an additional door before the corridor, we could not hear any noise at all—so we were able to relax very comfortably. The croissants at breakfast were delicious, and I ended up having extra. I almost wanted to buy some to take home. We used the MOMIJI Spa for bathing, but it felt a little inconvenient to have to put on all of our clothes for both trips there and back. I understand it cannot be helped since it is in a separate building. Also, my friend and I thought it would be very helpful if you could provide a small basket bag for going to the spa. As this stay was in winter, we would love to stay again during the season of fresh greenery. Thank you very much.

    Excellent!

    This is my second stay at this Hotel. While the building shows its age, the staff's hospitality and the delicious meals truly live up to the Prince name, offering an impressive level of service. The complimentary lounge with free drinks provides a relaxing atmosphere, and breakfast is served in a calm setting with not only great taste but also exceptional service from the staff. The private Shuttle Service driver was very pleasant as well. Even at the outlet waiting area, the staff were friendly, making for a wonderful start to our trip. We specifically came here to enjoy their breakfast again. It was refreshing to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and spend time here peacefully; we even talked about coming back again full of energy next time! Every year, we use photos taken here for our New Year's cards.

    It was a delightful experience.

    Stayed during the autumn long weekend. The hotel was not crowded, allowing for a relaxing stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth without any waiting. The room had a small kitchen and was spacious enough for three people. We used the shuttle bus from the station, but it took over 30 minutes, possibly due to the timing, so we decided not to use it again and skipped visiting the separate onsen facility. The bathroom in the room was clean but showed some signs of age, such as black mold and tile repairs. The breakfast was excellent, both in terms of the venue and the food. The seating arrangement was also well-designed, ensuring privacy from other guests.

    Stunning views of Mount Asama and the golf course

    The view of Mount Asama and the Karuizawa Prince Golf Course from the window was spectacular. Dinner and breakfast at Beaux Sejours, as well as the bar we reserved, were excellent. We also enjoyed the onsen at Karuizawa Prince, making it a full resort hotel experience.

    Japanese cuisine is disappointing.

    Overall, the stay was pleasant. The French cuisine at Beausejour was very delicious. On the other hand, the Japanese restaurant Karamatsu was a bit disappointing as the grilled fish had an odor and the chawanmushi was too soft and lukewarm.

    A tranquil Hotel, offering a relaxing stay.

    Stayed for 2 nights with breakfast from September 1st with my daughter. While the building shows its age, it was very clean and comfortable. Although there is no large public bath in the facility, they provided Shuttle Service by car during non-shuttle bus hours, so it wasn’t too inconvenient. The highlight was the restaurant—very quiet with hardly any foreign guests, allowing us to enjoy a set menu in a serene atmosphere surrounded by greenery through glass windows. Most of the staff were senior and their hospitality was excellent. The luggage transport service to and from Karuizawa Station's shopping mall before check-in and after check-out was incredibly helpful, making it easy to move around freely.

    Excellent service and delicious food. It was disappointing that there was no Onsen in the facility.

    I stayed for two nights in the Executive Twin at The Prince Karuizawa. Upon arriving at the parking area, a staff member kindly came to assist us with our luggage. It seemed they noticed us as we entered and promptly came over, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The newly renovated room was comfortable, with a great bed and user-friendly furniture and built-in shelves. At the on-site restaurant, Beaux Sejours, we enjoyed seated breakfasts every morning while watching waterside creatures. The fresh juice, warm soup, and delicious dishes were delightful. The Executive Floor features a lounge offering drinks, alcohol, snacks, and desserts where we could relax leisurely. For dinner on the first night, we had the seasonal course at Beaux Sejours—a series of exquisite dishes showcasing the chef's skills. On the second night, we dined at Soufuu in East Building for a shabu-shabu course meal. A shuttle bus conveniently connects to East Building for easy access. The meal included appetizers, sashimi, premium meats and vegetables in abundance; for finishing options—white rice or udon or cold Shinshu soba—we chose Shinshu soba. Everything was incredibly delicious with generous portions that left us fully satisfied. The only downside was that there is no large public bath or Onsen within The Prince Karuizawa itself; you need to take a shuttle bus to East or West Buildings to enjoy an Onsen experience after dinner preparations felt inconvenient so instead used our Room’s bath facilities instead. In comparison during visits previously made towards Annex nearby walking distance from Hakone-based counterpart "Prince" allowed easier access without requiring shuttles unlike here vast grounds available could benefit having closer walkable Onsens added convenience overall enhancing stay further! Aside from this minor issue though bright greetings attentive care shown by staff alongside delectable cuisine provided ensured memorable visit looking forward returning again soon! Special thanks extended delivering ample water supply directly into Room accommodating medical needs greatly appreciated!

    Highly satisfied.

    I felt truly relaxed in the greenery-filled space. The meals were delicious, and with free access to the Onsen and lounge, I was able to fully unwind just within the Hotel. Highly recommended for golf trips or girls' gatherings.

    A 3-day, 2-night tri...

    A 3-day, 2-night trip to Karuizawa during the Obon holiday. It was my first time staying overnight in Karuizawa. On the south side of the station, there are five Karuizawa Prince accommodations. A shuttle bus runs from the station, making it very convenient. For dinner on the first day, I enjoyed French cuisine at The Prince's restaurant. With its high ceilings and large windows offering a spacious view, it was a lovely restaurant where I could dine leisurely without worrying about others nearby. There was also live piano music, and everyone was very kind, making it a truly special experience. Breakfast at the same restaurant offered a beautiful view of the large pond outside through its windows in the morning light. The meal included fresh vegetables, egg dishes, bread, and fruit with just the right amount of volume. On the second day for dinner, I had Japanese cuisine at Prince Hotel West. It took about 10 minutes by shuttle bus from The Prince to get there. I enjoyed a sushi course meal in an atmosphere that felt bright and friendly with many families around. Although The Prince is slightly away from the station, its serene setting surrounded by nature makes it highly recommended for those looking to relax and unwind.

    Stayed for one night after golfing.

    【Pros】 - The bath was spacious and relaxing. - Sauna, cold bath, and open-air bath were available and satisfying. - Breakfast was delicious. 【Cons】 - No explanation or provision of IKYU Diamond Member benefits at all. - Few check-in counters, resulting in extremely long wait times. - The bath required a car ride and was very far from the parking lot. - Male staff during breakfast looked completely unmotivated.

    I stayed during the ...

    I stayed during the busy summer season, and the staff's perfect balance of attentiveness and courteous service truly lived up to the Prince brand. Located at the farthest end among the Karuizawa Prince accommodations, this property offers a charming building and serene, enchanting scenery that allowed me to forget daily life and find peace of mind. While some parts of the facility showed slight signs of age, it added a sense of history, and thanks to exceptional hospitality, I had a very comfortable stay. Regarding the spa, using those at East or West requires either a shuttle bus or private car. It may be presumptuous to say so, but I hope for an exclusive spa within The Prince for guests in the future. The view was stunning; I would love to visit again during autumn foliage season.

    Executive Lounge

    The newly opened lounge this year had excellent staff service, and I was able to use it comfortably for five days. I was a bit disappointed that the breakfast selection felt more compact overall. However, it was great that I could book breakfast at other hotels.

    I would like to stay for golf next time.

    It was very relaxing. The view of Mount Asama and the golf course green from the Room, as well as the attentive staff, were wonderful. Since my mother has difficulty walking and uses a wheelchair, I would rate the bath 4 stars, but overall we were satisfied.

    The overall quality is high.

    Stayed 2 nights in a Superior Twin Room. The service at the front desk and throughout the facility is top-notch. From the room, you can enjoy a stunning view of Mount Asama through the window, offering an exceptional outlook. Although it was a second-floor room from before renovation and retains some old-fashioned elements, it was clean and comfortable to stay in. Unfortunately, there is only one restaurant with a single breakfast menu option, and there is no Onsen available.

    Pond, Forest, and Golf Course

    Dinner at the restaurant was a fantastic experience, with a beautifully lit-up pond, forest, and enchanting views of birds. The next morning at the same restaurant, breakfast was enjoyed amidst a stunning transformed snowy landscape.

    I have been using it...

    I have been using it about twice a year for 40 years. The Prince is truly a comfortable and well-serviced, calm Hotel. You can really feel the staff's attentiveness. For us who have reached our seventies, we feel grateful to be able to come again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was a Hotel beyond imagination.

    There was no onsen within the property, and I had to take a bus operated by Prince Hotel for transportation, so I was worried about being able to enter the onsen as I was scheduled to arrive late at night. However, even after the shuttle service hours ended, they provided a van to transport guests, allowing me to visit the onsen without any inconvenience. The "MOMIJI HOT-SPRING" available for guests offers a view of beautifully colored trees from the open-air bath, and it was beautifully lit up at night, which was very nice. Although the room was old in design, the interior was sufficiently renovated, allowing me to stay very comfortably. The entire property has a heavy and elegant atmosphere, which I personally liked a lot. Although it has been over 30 years since its opening in 1982, it is a wonderful hotel that does not fall short of the newer hotels nearby. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity.
