    A Comfortable Hotel with a Satisfying Breakfast

    I have stayed here several times. This time, I stayed in a newly renovated Room, and it still felt brand-new. Compared to before, the layout and table were more convenient and easier to use. Also, I highly recommend the breakfast here. They offer both Japanese and Western options, and the Japanese “obanzai” dishes are especially delicious. The view from the restaurant is also wonderful, with a panoramic view of Tokyo Station. I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    Direct access to Tokyo Station is truly a welcome convenience!

    It had been quite a while since my last stay, but I returned again. This time, unfortunately, the weather was bad and I didn’t feel like going out, so I made full use of the underground passageways extending from Tokyo Station. That’s one of the great benefits of being directly connected to the station.\nAlso, the guest room is thoughtfully designed with excellent use of space, making it very comfortable to stay in. Placing a wide desk along the window was a great idea. I stayed for sightseeing this time, but I also brought some work with me and was able to enjoy a pleasant few hours of workation at the desk.\nIt’s also nice that there is an information leaflet explaining the view from the window.

    The view is

    Because it was a Hotel close to Tokyo Station, I stayed looking forward to enjoying the view as well. As it was my partner’s birthday, I mentioned this in my request at the time of Reservation. I also booked in advance the high-rise restaurant on the 27th floor, the same floor as the front desk. The meal ended up costing a little more than the Accommodation rate (laugh), but we were able to dine together while enjoying a wonderful night view overlooking Tokyo Station, which became a great memory. The food was truly delicious, and we were very satisfied. After that, we went back to our Room. At check-in, I was told, “We have a slightly larger Room available,” and they changed our Room for us. I really appreciated that thoughtful gesture. However, one thing was a bit disappointing: the view from the Room. I had made my Reservation after confirming it was a “Room with a view,” so I was looking forward to enjoying the scenery. In reality, there was construction of a high-rise building over 40 floors right next to our window, and most of what we could see through the large window was that building under construction. Because we had enjoyed such an amazing night view at the restaurant, it felt somewhat disappointing to return to our Room and find that the view from those large windows was mainly of an active construction site. There were many positives—such as being moved to a larger Room and having such a lovely time at the restaurant—but regarding “a room with a view,” it would have been even better if more specific details had been provided at the time of Reservation.

    First Stay

    I assumed the only Hotel directly connected to Tokyo Station was the Station Hotel, so I was surprised by this unexpected location. That said, calling this “Marunouchi” feels a bit questionable—but in a broad sense, it’s more like the Shinbashi/Ginza area, which could make sense. The location is outstanding: not only JR and subway access, but also Takashimaya and Mitsukoshi Main Store within walking distance, making it easy to stroll around and shop. Of course, it’s also close to the Imperial Palace side from Marunouchi and to Hibiya as well, so it’s an ideal spot for both business and sightseeing. The lobby is on the 27th floor; it’s spacious, and the staff are cheerful and quick on their feet, which makes for a pleasant experience. There is also a safe in the Room, so there were no security concerns at all. For a solo stay, there’s plenty of space; the bed is very comfortable; and the amenities are well stocked. The only thing that bothered me was that there were no Japanese tea bags—probably just forgotten. They would likely bring some if asked. The bathroom area is average in size and equipment level, and the bathtub fills quickly. Many Hotels in this class don’t offer room service, but this one provides proper service, which I appreciated. The breakfast in particular was surprisingly high quality for this price. Room service breakfast was more relaxing than a hectic buffet. Rooms are on the 28th floor or higher; however, since high-rise buildings keep going up on the south side nearby, you may not be able to count on the view in time. Next time I’d definitely like to book a Multiple Night Stay.

    Its convenient locat...

    Its convenient location near Tokyo Station and the positive breakfast Reviews led me to stay for one night. The breakfast offered a wide variety of Japanese and Western options, and everything was delicious. I was shown to a table at the back of the buffet area (with a view over the tracks). The older gentleman who seemed to be in charge of that table area was exceptionally polite and pleasant. He cleared dishes at just the right times while they were being returned, and his attentiveness and friendly check-ins were outstanding. He left the strongest impression on me during my stay at this Hotel—thank you very much. Although there were several other female staff members in the same buffet area, their service was completely different from his. The Room was clean and comfortable, and considering the price, I would highly recommend this Hotel. One disappointing point: At check-in, a young woman at the front desk told me, “Your Room will be ready shortly,” so I waited in the lobby where she could see me. After a while, several groups of international guests arrived and lined up to check in. For some reason, their check-in procedures kept moving forward, and only after those groups had finished did she come back to say, “Sorry for keeping you waiting. Your Room is ready.” I had an appointment for work coming up soon, so I wanted to drop my luggage in my Room and leave immediately. Even while I was waiting, I wish someone had said something to me earlier. If this is how it would be handled, I should have simply left my luggage with the front desk right away and gone out—I wouldn’t have felt rushed. Even if I wanted to ask about it myself, all front desk staff were assisting international guests one by one, so there was no opportunity to speak with anyone. Since I had a work commitment, all I could do was wait—and that long wait was frustrating. That is the only negative point for me. It may have been just bad timing, but it happened first thing at check-in and affects overall impressions. Other than that issue, it was an excellent Hotel overall. Thank you very much.

    Prime location

    With a prime location directly connected to Tokyo Station, you can see the tracks right below and enjoy an excellent view. It’s extremely convenient for taking the Shinkansen. It’s also an easy, stress-free meeting spot with no risk of getting lost, so I always choose to stay here.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    The location was excellent. The staff were professional and pleasant, and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing. The Room was spacious, and the night view was beautiful. The unit bath was a bit disappointing, but it was roomy enough to enjoy a good bath. We were mostly just there to sleep, but we had a comfortable stay. However, it was disappointing that the bedding didn’t feel fresh and crisp. Also, the Room fragrance was too strong; I don’t think any scent is necessary. Without these two issues, it would have been perfect. I hope for crisp sheets next time.

    A Moment of Relaxation on Your Day Off

    I was able to relax and take my time while enjoying an overhead view of Tokyo Station and Marunouchi. Since all guest rooms are on the upper floors, it was very quiet. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

    I was able to sleep comfortably and soundly.

    This was my first stay, and the directions after getting off the Shinkansen were hard to follow, so I asked station staff for help several times. Although it is adjacent to Tokyo Station, it is at the far north end, so it felt quite far. Now that I know the route, I think I will be able to get there without getting lost next time. At Tokyo Station, I first left my luggage at the Hotel and headed to work. Even after checkout, they stored my luggage again, and after work I picked it up at the front desk. It was convenient to be able to leave my carry-on suitcase with a change of clothes at the Hotel while moving around. The front desk is on the 27th floor, and Rooms seem to be located above that. The shower has good water pressure as well. It wasn’t exactly my preferred spray pattern, but it was fine. The amenities were sufficient, and there were plenty of power outlets. I may have been sleep-deprived lately, but I slept very well in this Hotel bed and woke up feeling refreshed. I had planned to go for a morning walk around the Imperial Palace grounds, but unfortunately it was raining when I woke up so I gave up. I plan to stay here again on my next business trip to Tokyo.     I stayed here for the first time last year and had a very comfortable stay, so I chose this Accommodation again. Just like last year, I was completely satisfied. The view was different from my previous Room, and it was exciting to watch the Shinkansen arriving at and departing from Tokyo Station below. Since it was a corner Room, both the Room and the bathroom were spacious, allowing me to relax comfortably. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

    Given its location and comfort, it was a Hotel that felt worth the price.

    I stayed at Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi from June 2 to June 3, 2026. The rate was about ¥44,000, which is a bit pricey, but it felt reasonable considering the location and comfort. The best part is how convenient it is—you can get there from Tokyo Station without getting wet in the rain. It’s located in a high-rise building in the Yaesu area, and I also enjoyed the special feeling of being right in the middle of the city. Since it’s directly connected to the station, it’s especially helpful when you have a lot of luggage for sightseeing or business. There’s also a sense of reliability as a JR-affiliated Hotel, and both the staff service and overall atmosphere were calm and pleasant. While the price is on the higher side, I recommend it for anyone who values excellent access and convenience. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for an Accommodation near Tokyo Station where you can stay comfortable even on rainy days.

    More than just the convenience of direct access from the Nihombashi Exit

    You can access the Hotel from the Tokyo Station ticket gates without getting wet at all. It is right in front of the Nihonbashi Exit, making it extremely convenient. The room is clean and functional, and you can see the Tohoku Shinkansen tracks from the window. The front desk is on the 27th floor of Sapia Tower, and dedicated elevators to the guest rooms provide excellent security. The staff are friendly and courteous, which leaves a great impression. The breakfast buffet was also very good. I would like to stay here again.

    The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. It may be unavoidable, but I noticed a slight odor from the air conditioner, and the taste of the tap water at the sink bothered me when brushing my teeth.

    The Plan with breakfast included was also great.

    This was my third stay, and the first time I tried the breakfast. I had heard that it can get busy at certain times, so I arrived before 7:00 a.m. and was seated smoothly. The venue is compact, which meant less walking, and it offered a pleasant atmosphere with great views. The food selection was especially strong on Japanese dishes, featuring a variety of regional specialties from across the whole country, and it felt thoughtfully curated. I was also happy to see TWG tea available. In addition to the excellent location, the front desk and all staff greeted me with warm smiles, making my stay very comfortable. I would love to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

    I attended a concert...

    I attended a concert at the National Stadium on my own. Nearby hotels were fully booked, so I made a Reservation here with travel convenience in mind. I had completely forgotten until I entered the lobby, but seeing the model trains reminded me that I had stayed here many years ago. The staff member who assisted me at check-in even mentioned my previous stay, which truly moved me. The hospitality was as wonderful as ever, and at breakfast the next morning they kindly guided me to a seat where I could see the Shinkansen. It made me glad I chose this Hotel. Despite all the talk about staff shortages, my Room was clean and well prepared at check-in, with amenities ready, and I was able to fully enjoy an escape from everyday life. The location is also excellent, and it was easy to find a light meal after the concert. Now that I’m older, I’ve come to appreciate again how important it is to work hard for six months and then take time to relax at a Hotel that feels worth the price. Thank you very much.

    This was my third st...

    This was my third stay. The location is extremely convenient—right by Tokyo Station, practically directly connected. The Executive Corner Twin Room I stayed in this time has no pillars in the bedroom, so you can enjoy both the night view and a train view from windows on two sides. Since a separate bath and toilet is a must for me, this Room—with night views even from the bathroom—is the best. In fact, it’s the only Room I’ve ever stayed in here. The dining options are plentiful and excellent, and I was especially happy to have my favorite simmered sardines with plum again. There were also refreshing seasonal dishes such as somen noodles and chilled pork shabu-shabu, which helped me recharge with plenty of nutrition from the morning after feeling worn out by the rainy-season humidity. If I have another chance to visit Tokyo, I will definitely return. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

    The diorama in front...

    The diorama in front of the front desk was fun, and both the Room and bathroom were clean. The amenities were well stocked, including water from one of Japan’s “100 Exquisite Waters.” At the restaurant buffet, there was inari sushi with shiso, which I enjoyed as a delicious early-summer flavor.     I had another Hotel Reservation, but when I checked here at the last minute, there was availability, so I changed it. There are no outward-facing windows, but since I wanted to relax and recover from accumulated fatigue to match my plans for the next day, it was actually a very calming Room. The Room has an unusual layout, but it was comfortable because the entrance door is not visible from inside. Breakfast was via room service; this time I chose the Western-style meal. The yogurt I requested before has been included recently, and the coffee was delicious—I could drink a generous three cups, which I truly appreciated. Thank you for taking care of me.

    First-Time Accommodation

    This was my first stay here. It was wonderful—the staff were incredibly kind, every single person I met. The location is excellent, with great access from the station. Breakfast was delicious as well. The restaurant staff were attentive and quick to respond, and they came over to explain the menu clearly, which was very helpful—especially for guests with dietary restrictions. I’d love to stay again next time.

    We stayed in a triple Room as a family of three. The window was small, but the view was nice and it was comfortable. The unit bathroom was a bit inconvenient, but given the location and the price of around 60,000 yen, it was more than sufficient.

    Fresh Views

    Thank you for your hospitality. The event ran later than scheduled, and we ended up checking in after midnight, so it was disappointing because we had been looking forward to staying at such a wonderful Hotel. Our stay was very comfortable, and in Tokyo, we especially loved the view—unlike any other Hotel we’ve stayed at before! Please note that nearby convenience stores are closed late at night.

    The front desk staff were very friendly and made a great impression. The view from the Room was so amazing that I welcomed the morning with the curtains left open. The view from the bathroom was also wonderful. If I have the chance, this will definitely be my first choice again. Overall, I was very satisfied, except that the price was high during Golden Week.

    The lobby has a high ceiling and a diorama, and the Room was clean. The amenities were also eco-friendly. At the restaurant, there was a selection of pickles and local specialties from various prefectures to choose from, and everything was delicious. Thank you very much.
