It was a disappointing renovation.

Since my daughter was born, we have stayed here for an extended period every year. This time, the accommodation cost was higher due to renovations, but as it is our family's favorite hotel, we stayed for 5 nights this year as a tradition. We were very much looking forward to our stay but were honestly disappointed. If there are no improvements next year, we will consider not staying again. Main points of dissatisfaction: - Breakfast: The buffet-style breakfast used to include a variety of drink options and foods like fried chicken that children love. There was also a corner where you could make your own sea grape or tuna and salmon roe bowls, which has now been removed. By the second day, we found it repetitive. Honestly, there is no need for staff making omelets or French toast; we hope the previous offerings can be reinstated. - Room: The terrace had a large amount of mouse droppings. Although it was cleaned upon request, more droppings appeared the next day, making it unusable. - Facility: The single-rider electric scooters were gone. My daughter and I had to use a two-seater bike while my wife used a regular bicycle to explore the island; however, due to physical exhaustion, we couldn't complete one full lap. - Pool: The infinity pool was excellent! However, the sauna had age restrictions so we couldn’t leave our child alone and only managed to check its exterior. - Staff: International staff members have been hired but maintained their attentive service and polite hospitality as before—an excellent team overall. - Overall impression: Who is this accommodation targeting? It feels like just another generic hotel now. We used to recommend this place by name even among friends with children; unfortunately, it's no longer somewhere we'd suggest staying at in its current state. We hope improvements will be made so that someday it becomes a place we'd love to visit again!

Dear Mr. Daos, We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations during your recent stay, despite your long-standing patronage of our Hotel. Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed and honest feedback with us. It is an honor for all our staff to know that since the birth of your daughter, you have chosen our Hotel as a cherished place for family memories and even referred to it as "your favorite hotel." We deeply regret causing disappointment on this occasion. Regarding breakfast, we are truly sorry that the reduction in popular menu items and options enjoyable for children did not satisfy guests staying for Multiple Night Stays. We have since reinstated a children's corner offering items such as fried chicken and hamburgers. We also apologize sincerely for the cleaning issues on the terrace of your Room that caused discomfort during your stay. As for electric kickboards, due to the hilly terrain and road conditions on Kohama Island, we decided to discontinue their rental service out of safety concerns. While we understand they were enjoyed previously, we are sorry about this change. However, we have introduced new electric bicycles with an increased number available for rent. We appreciate hearing that you enjoyed our pool facilities including the infinity pool. Your kind words about our staff mean so much to us and serve as great encouragement moving forward. Our goal remains providing heartfelt hospitality tailored to each guest's needs so families like yours can once again feel "glad they came here." We will carefully review how we can improve services further while cherishing every piece of feedback received from valued guests like yourself. While immediate changes may be challenging in some areas, please rest assured that every effort will be made toward creating a better Hotel experience based on constructive input such as yours. We hope there will be another opportunity in future where you can witness these improvements firsthand; it would bring us great joy welcoming you back again someday soon!
