    Highly Satisfied

    We visited for the Suwa Lake Triathlon as my husband participated. The meals were delicious, and all the staff had wonderful smiles and provided excellent service. The view of Suwa Lake from the room with a private open-air bath was stunning. Two bath towels per person were prepared from the start, allowing us to fully enjoy various Onsen facilities such as the large public bath and private baths. We hope to visit again next year. Thank you very much!

    Disappointed with the oldest Ryokan.

    I will share both good and bad experiences. I arrived before check-in time but was allowed into the Room. The lid of the teapot was moldy. The outdoor bath cover was not cleaned properly. The worst part was during dinner when the air conditioner or ventilation system broke, causing a loud noise throughout the meal. When I mentioned that I wanted to cancel breakfast for the next morning as I had no expectations, I was told it couldn't be refunded due to prepayment policies. While the building itself is luxurious, there is no consistency in its displays, and countless pots of withered orchids were placed in the back, clearly showing a lack of attention to detail at first glance. When I complained, they offered me a box of sweets as an apology, which I refused. Not wanting to have another meal there, I left early in the morning. From a management perspective, this experience felt like an example of what not to do—a disappointing stay overall.

    Three-Generation Travel

    I stayed at this hotel to visit relatives in Suwa. The staff's hospitality, the bath, and the meals were all extremely satisfying. This time I only had breakfast, but next time I would like to try dinner as well. The garden was magnificent. It’s an accommodation I would love to stay at again!

    Comfortable to stay

    Foot baths and Onsen are both available, which is fantastic. The Room had a pleasant scent of igusa (rush grass). Dinner was served in a private room. Both breakfast and dinner included fish, providing good nutritional balance.

    I was really looking forward to this stay! The meals were delicious, and the staff serving the food was charming. I truly enjoyed the wonderful dishes! Since I have some physical limitations, it would be even better if there were private baths and more barrier-free facilities. The location is excellent, and I’d love to visit again! Despite many international visitors coming through inbound tourism, it was peaceful and quiet. It wasn’t crowded at all, which made it very pleasant.

    The room was relaxing.

    Stayed in a twin Western-style room. The spacious Western-style room, where you can walk barefoot, was great. The meals were just the right amount without being overdone.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    This was my second stay, and it was comfortable again. The corner room required keeping two air conditioners on due to the season, which made it a bit dry, but the heated toilet prevented any chill during the night or early morning. A softer and lower pillow would have been preferable. The onsen with its natural hot spring water was very relaxing, and I used it three times during my stay. It would be helpful if small towels like those for foot baths were available in the changing area since they get soaked after one use, especially in colder seasons. The meals were delicious and offered in sufficient portions. It would be great if workwear-style clothing could be provided even for an additional fee like with colorful yukata robes. All staff members were friendly, making my stay very pleasant.

    For our child's firs...

    For our child's first birthday. We were very satisfied. We've stayed at many accommodations, but this one ranks high in satisfaction. My wife and I talked about wanting to come back, and we would like to make another reservation here. The food was excellent. If I may add a small wish, having fixed table chairs for infants would be great. Overall, it was wonderful. We'll visit again!

    The hot spring source is excellent.

    The private hot spring source is the best (impressed) It's a pity to miss the sunset from the Room (tears) Appreciation for the thoughtfulness of the young female staff who welcomed us (gratitude) The dinner attendant was so energetic that it seemed like the dishes might break (surprise) Disappointed with the male staff at the front desk on departure (crying)

    I stayed in a Japanese-style room with a premium open-air bath!! The atmosphere of the Ryokan and its staff, the meals, and the open-air bath were all excellent!! I definitely want to visit again! Thank you very much!!!!

    The location offers a superb view of Lake Suwa.

    The view from the Room is spectacular. The service and meals were very good. We used a Room with an open-air bath. The view is very wonderful, but it is completely visible from the outside. It might be better to consider measures such as planting trees for privacy. Also, the mold in the indoor bathroom is noticeable. It might be better to put more effort into cleaning the bathroom. One type of amenity from a high-quality manufacturer is sufficient.

    A wonderful hotel that harmonizes the Japanese relaxation of a Ryokan, where you can enjoy the silky smooth flowing Onsen in spacious open-air baths, large communal baths, and baths in rooms with great views, with the Western functionality of a Hotel offering comfortable stays such as a lounge with free drinks. The cuisine is also creatively prepared each time, delicious, and offers a wide variety of dishes.     I stayed on December 14th and 15th. Thank you very much for your hospitality. I was very satisfied with the courteous service, delicious meals, and the charming Onsen. The only point I would raise is that the futon was a bit hard for me. I would like to use your services again.

    I would like to use it again.

    I was attracted by the twin room with a natural hot spring bath and used it for the first time. The room was very good. The renovated room had few steps, and the comfort of the Simmons bed, which I love, was excellent. There was also a work table for the PC, which showed attention to detail. I was also pleased to find a bathrobe in addition to the yukata, and I appreciated the thoughtfulness of having two yukatas per person from the start so that we could change in the morning and evening. The bath in the room had silky water that allowed for a long soak, and the view of Lake Suwa (Suwako) and the surrounding autumn leaves from the window served as a borrowed landscape, which was very satisfying. My wife was delighted with the C.O.Bigelow cosmetics. She mentioned that it would be even better if there was a tabletop magnifying mirror for women's makeup. As for the meal, I think they are doing quite well for this accommodation fee. I believe that other properties might charge a higher fee, but it was clear that they were trying to bring out their unique style using seasonal ingredients of late autumn. Personally, I found the breakfast to be very good. It was wonderful to have a salad of raw vegetables and two types of dressing (in Japanese cuisine, there are often no raw vegetable salads, and only one type of dressing is overwhelmingly common, so I hope they continue this). The warm egg dishes unique to private dining rooms near the kitchen, the simple yet well-balanced menu, and the fact that they prepared coffee for after the meal from the start were all impeccable. At check-in, it was a style where you leave the car key with the doorman, but if possible, I would appreciate it if we could park ourselves and not have to leave the car key. It feels a bit awkward to stop by the front desk when going out by car. The quality of the bath is really good, but with a 10 a.m. checkout after breakfast, it's difficult to take a leisurely bath, so I thought it would be nice to have a late checkout (11 a.m.) plan, even if the price is a bit higher. I would like to stay again when I come to Suwa (Suwa).

    The Room is spacious, and the breakfast is delicious.

    I used the property for my father's 60th birthday celebration. All the staff were kind and provided courteous service. What left an impression was the spaciousness of the room. It was so spacious that it felt extravagant for just two people, and everything was clean and beautiful. The entire facility was also well-maintained, making it perfect for celebrations. The room, onsen, service, and food were all excellent, and it was a ryokan that made me want to stay again when visiting Lake Suwa.

    The staff were very ...

    The staff were very kind and their efforts were evident. Thank you for providing the requested cold water. The Room was clean, but I was concerned that there was another building of the same Hotel in front of Lake Suwa, obstructing the view from the window. However, there are benefits such as being able to use the lounge, but I feel the lounge usage time is too short. The food has become more mainstream than before and was not as expected. It might be due to rising prices, but I think it would be better to reduce the number of dishes and improve the quality of each one.

    The service is terrible.

    The food was plentiful and almost too much to finish, but it was delicious. The service did not match the price range at all. Starting with the front desk staff (male), the serving staff (mainly a large woman) behaved roughly, like cafeteria workers. When asked about breakfast time, I inquired about the available slots and was told 8:00 and 8:30. When I requested 8:30, I was surprised to be told to come early because the dining area closes at 9:00. I think it should have been set to 8:15 from the start. There were many unpleasant points in the interactions. The foreign staff were generally pleasant. I think the training should be reviewed for everyone except the woman who saw us off and the foreign staff.

    Everything exceeded expectations.

    The location is right in front of Lake Suwa and within a 10-minute walk from the station. It was a very large and luxurious Property. The Room and meals were wonderful, and since we chose one with an open-air bath, we were able to fully enjoy the natural hot spring. The large public bath was also spacious and very clean. The dinner featuring sakura (cherry blossom) meat was substantial and the taste was excellent. Breakfast also had many carefully prepared side dishes and was very delicious. Above all, all the staff were warm and greeted us politely every time we passed by, making it a very pleasant stay. It is a perfect Ryokan that I can confidently recommend to anyone. Thank you very much for taking care of us. I would love to visit again.

    Dream Mall Izumi

    I visited with little prior information, so I was thrilled to learn in the room that it was a moor Onsen. It was quite hot, but as an Onsen enthusiast, I didn't want to dilute it with water as much as possible, so I turned off the Onsen tap and let it cool naturally before bathing. It seems like it would be even easier to bathe in the middle of winter. I will definitely visit again.

    The lake was clearly visible from the open-air bath in the Room.

    The open-air bath in the large public bath was nice, but having an open-air bath with natural hot spring water in the Room that you can use anytime was the best. It was also nice to have free sparkling wine and beer at the lounge (Kanmuri Tori), but it would be appreciated if the available hours were a bit longer (3:00 PM to 6:30 PM). The meals were incredibly voluminous. The steamed abalone was delicious. If I had to mention something, it would be great to have a diamond member benefit like early check-in. (I arrived early but had to wait until check-in.)

    It was nice to have meals served in the Room in a Japanese-style room. They lay out the futon in the Room, but the way it's laid out might need some improvement.
